4-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this...
My daughter got this as a gift when she turned two years old. It is not recommended for ages less than 3, I assume due to the small pieces. However, the small parts are mainly clothes for the doll, so I did not consider that a danger. And she was beyond the "mouthing" stage.
She played with it over and over at that time. Then it got put away for a few months and she forgot about it.

We just took it out again recently (she is now almost 3)and she plays with it more than any other toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE IT!!!!!!
This toy was like a dream come true. I am of considerable age and shouldn't be playing with dolls. But this one was sooooo cute i just had to get it. Zapf is a really good brand so you would expect things to be expencive. but this toy is quite well priced. I put 5 stars for educational because it sort of teaches you to take care of a baby. Not really but hey, what can u do?
anywayz, I really liked, and still do, this toy.

It rox!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars So Tiny and Cute!
I love baby born miniworld. She is a great toy for older little girls, I would say about 7 and up. The reason for that is she has lots of tiny parts and dressing her might frustrate younger kids. If you buy this doll you should tie a ribbon around the pacifier so it won't be lost as easily. Baby born miniworld is so fun because you can take her anywhere in a pocket or purse. She also has lots of great accessories to buy. The goodnight set is a great one if you're just getting started with baby born minworld. It will provide hours of fun! ... Read more

Editorial Review

This is one of those toys that you wish you had as a kid. Working on four C batteries (not included), the Rescue Heroes Ultimate Rescue Vehicle can do just about anything young imaginations dream up. Attached to its back with a coil cord is a remote control that allows kids to move it forward, backward, left, or right. The control also has two green buttons that create sound effects, and a red knob that maneuvers the robot's right arm, which has a clawlike hand for picking up or removing obstacles. Features on the robot itself include a winch attached at the left hand, which can be deployed by the push of a button and wound back up with the blue crank handle; a button that raises the torso of the robot to "maximum body extension" for those out-of-reach rescues; a button that pops the robot's head up and turns on a bright spotlight; and a flip-down platform in the back that can carry a Rescue Hero to the scene. Added cool factor: when you place a Voice Tech Rescue Hero (sold separately) in the robot's cockpit, the URV will recognize them and call them by name. --Pam Lauer ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have!
My 5 year old son got this toy for Christmas. He loves it! ALthought he got many other toys, including a gameboy, he still plays with this toy the most. He has many rescue hero guys and is getting quite a few of the vehicles. The guys connect very easily to the robot. And the PowerMax tools work great with it too. I would recommend this to anyone. It is a must have!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Best Purchase for son
We purchased this for our son over a year ago, while he was 2 almost 3.He is now 4 and still loves it, he learned how to use remote control and navigate around things which helps hand eye cornation of course. This toy is heavly played with and you can't tell by looking at it.He enjoys especially the power max toys he can use in it.2 Heroes can ride on it while a third is being saved.

He wanted a robot as one of his older sisters has a couple but nothing that could stand up to him. This has been a perfect fit and we have never had any problems with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars URV
This toy uses 7 batteries and didn't work until I put them in correctly :) It makes terrific sounds, it's head and body extend with a light on top. My 3-yr-old is just old enough to enjoy remote controls. The robot moves well over carpet and though the arm is confusing for him to use accurately, he has enjoyed pushing through blocks and obstacles. Also, if I like playing with a toy I'm more likely to play with him longer. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My 3.75 year old plays with us and his 6 yr old sister...
This is a great game! Rescue Heroes have great values for kids. Read all of the instructions...you will learn that "No One Gets Left Behind"I have to wonder about Toy enthusiast: It is true a 3+ could not play this game alone, but shouldn't parents be around to help young players when they need it?
My kids never played Chutes and Ladders much - it bored them. But Rescue Heroes has Drama!

5-0 out of 5 stars My son's favorite board game
My almost 5 yr old son received this game for Christmas and loves it!!It is definitely a spin off of Chutes and Ladders, but with added features. You must rescue animals on the way up.My son loves to flip the animals cards over to see which animal he "rescued".My husband and I commented on how well the game is packaged, which makes it very easy to put away neatly. Each Rescue Heroes figure has their own compartment, the cards stay together in their own compartment, and the board folds twice so the package is neat and small.Definitely a must have for any little Rescue Heroes fan!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not So Bad
I had a different experience and thought I'd offer the other viewpoint. My 4.5 year old son loves this Rescue Heroes board game. It is similar to Chutes and Ladders but faster to play (which I appreciate). I have to help him move the pieces sometimes but it doesn't seem to be frustrating for either of us and I think it helps him think about number sequencing. Probably the biggest issue is keeping the game pieces together, because the little plastic characters are tempting to play with other places.

One thing I think is worth mentioning is that this game emphasizes cooperation more than winning and losing--the one who gets to the end first invites everyone to save the rest of the pets and get to the helicopter. (You are supposed keep score of the number of animals rescued by each person, but we don't bother with that.) This is a huge plus for my son, and perhaps other kids around this age. There are plenty of other games around where they can learn lessons about winning and losing, but it's nice to have a game on the shelf that doesn't make it an issue. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars lava alarm! video
my son got lava alarm for his birthday he has just recently gotten into the rescue heros we all like them but in this movie two boys are being recued from a valcano.in the part were the boys are being lifted out just in time when you see the boys from the heros view it looks like both boys have a rope around thier neck. well my son wrapped a cord around his neck "pretending" to bea hero the cord caught and luckily it came lose because he fell off his bed.he now has a three inch rope burn on his neck it scared him but i think that people with children who have active imaginations and like the heros should be told that they can get hurt if they do it like they do in the video...all ropes cords or anything else is gone from his room but it does not change the fact that on christmas eve we almost lost our son he was lucky i belive the people who made the video over looked a very important part of the movie...........

5-0 out of 5 stars A great game for children
I bought this game for my five year old son.He loves the game.It is easy to learn, yet challenging enough to keep him interested. The variety of the several mini-games included has kept him busy with this game for a few months already (!)

Technically, the game is good too.Clear talking voices from the various Rescue Heroes is pretty neat.

As a parent, I appreciate the fact that this is an action game, yet contains no violence. It is about helping people and animals.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fisher Price Rescue Heroes: Fire Frenzy
This is the third Gameboy title we have purchased for our 4-year old son. He's really into Power Rangers and Rescue Heroes, so the subject matter was excellent. Although it is not listed as an EC title, our son who has computer game experience, has found it challenging enough to hold his attention, yet easy enough to master so that he doesn't get discouraged. There's no mindless violence, no creepy villains. It's a really well-designed game, and has been well worth the money, since he has yet to get bored with it. ... Read more

Fur Real Friends - Marmalade
Average Customer Review: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Toy (30 July, 2002)
list price: $39.99

Editorial Review

This battery-operated pet is surprisingly realistic in the way it responds to good old-fashioned tender loving care. From the outside, this toy appears to be simply a lovable stuffed animal. The long soft orange hair, sweet pink nose, and green eyes make it look like a real cat. The unusual thing, though, is the way this kitty responds to a person’s touch. Pet her and she will arch her back; gently touch her cheek and she’ll lean into your hand and purr demurely. If you dare to pull her tail, watch out--you’ll hear a decidedly annoyed hiss! All of these reactions are controlled by six sensors located at various spots on the cat which respond to a person’s touch. For a child who is too young for a real pet, this toy feline may be the next best thing. For a child who wants something huggable, this may not be the right way to go--the internal mechanics are hard and prevent you from giving this little pet a good squeeze. Three C batteries required (not included). --Jane Snyder ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars THE GIANTS
MY SEVEN YEAR OLD LOVE AND ENJOY THIS TOY. IT KEEPS HIM BUSY FOR HOURS LOOKING AND NAMING THE STARS.

2-0 out of 5 stars very disappointing!
my son recieved this set for his 6th birthday and it was a huge disappointment! He was so excited because he wanted to see mars and we couldn't even see the full moon through the telescope! The binoculars are great which is the only reason I gave it two stars, but the telescope isn't worth the cardboard that it came in. You would think you would be ablt to see something even if it isn't the most advanced equipment but after numerous tries by everyone we never saw squat! ... Read more
