5-0 out of 5 stars SQ3 - That "1989" Action Adventure Game Marvel
    Sierra before Half-Life

    - We played SQ1 on EGA and loved its interface, space, characters and fun.
    - We played SQ2 on EGA because SQ1 was just so good.
    - Then we got SQ3 and it was as good as the "Star Wars" story the first time we played it... start in a dumpster, move across the galaxy, save the world.

It is all about the Story of Roger Wilco, the sad anti-hero of these games, just go play Space Quest 3 first and then play the rest. Space Quest 3 was amazing for its time. Roger actually had a sad end because the genre sort of died after Lucas Arts made Grim Fandango.

5-0 out of 5 stars good
Space quest my my my what a game you would be stupid not to buy it it is a sierra classic!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game, Unfortunately.........
This is one of the best adventure game series out there, if not the best. However, just because this package here is no longer in production does not mean that it is a collector's item.No game is worth $... If you really want this game, go to a certain well known auction website and find it for less than $...SERIOUSLY.The same can be said for the Kings Quest collection. The older Lucas Arts adventure games (Sam & Max, Manaic Mansion) are in my opinion just as good as any Space Quest game. But you won't find theout-of-print Lucas Arts Archive package on sale anywhere for hundreds of dollars. In fact, you can find it used at this very website for only $... Space Quest is a great game, but no home video game in existance is worth over $...no matter what. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Getting Hard To Find
For those of you criticizing the prices here on Amazon for this amazing collection i find it kind of funny. Most of you (myself included) have no problem plopping down 50 bucks for a new game but when it comes to the greatest collection of games EVER released including the first 7 Kings quest games, and a remake of the first 1 - with better graphics only available in this collectionas well as a host of other classic adventure games and other bonuses to numerous to list 100 bucks or so starts to sound like a bargain - and believe me you probably wont save any money on ebay on this one - hard to find is a gross understatement. 5-0 out of 5 stars Where in Europe can I order this?
I'm a big fan of all the Police Quests series, and I'd love to have it. On this site, it can only be shipped within the US. Since I live in the Netherlands (Europe), I'm most unfortunate (what this is concerned) Has anybody got tips for me, where I can buy it in Europe??

5-0 out of 5 stars All the cop action you can handle
From where it all began until Swat came out, this is the ultimate collection.Police Quest 1 (vga and svga) I liked the old version since the day i played it, it was much more fun, but both are great. Plice Quest 2 (vga) lots of fun, this was the first time i played it. Police Quest 3,4 (svga) both were great, 3 was better then 4, and 4 was... to put it nicely weird Swat. simply put fun for everyone who ever wanted to be part of the team. if you have or haven't played any of these games, get this you will enjoy it for hours on end. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Play these on your new computer with VMWare
I truly miss all of the old Sierra games. While I would never trade my first person shooters, I would love to see these games come back. The entire Quest For Glory series is a work of art to be enjoyed by everyone, even kids.

Someone gave a low rating because of the price. The price isn't set by Sierra. These games are out of print and are now collectors items. The price has to do with supply and demand.

Lastly, in order to play these games you can do one of several things. The first thing is to invest in software called VMWare that allows you to run other operating systems from Windows. Install Windows 98, and play these games with that OS. Again, you won't need a dual boot system; Windows XP will be a "host" for Windows 98. Or you can do a google search and find a good emulator that allows you to play these games with full sound. Believe it or not, there is a large community that loves these games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tongue in cheek humor, creative storyline.
These games were revolutionary in the early 90's, and the format (choose from 3 different battle types; thief, wizard, or fighter) made the series versatile. Fans of the Kings Quest series should love Quest for Glory. Be careful though--if your pc is very new, you will not be able to run this game. If your pc is from around 2000 era, you may be able to run it, but w/out sound. Depends. If sound is important to you, double check! You may want to look at fansites to see if anyone has made a patch or has figured out how to run it. Good luck!

5-0 out of 5 stars The games are great, but...
I'm a little bit in shock looking at this title. When the Quest for Glory collection vol 1 first came out back in the day, it cost about thirty bucks, but it had all the games that vol 2 has.The downside to vol 1 was that it was riddled with bugs throughout different games.I'm imagining they cleaned that up for vol 2, but how in the hell does that warrant a price tag that's through the roof?!I love the games, which is why I gave it five stars. But this overpriced collection gets zero stars, and I'm severely disappointed in Sierra for screwing their loyal fans like this. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Doom Collector's Bundle
This is the ultimate Doom collection for PC, containing all three Doom classics. The gaming addiction that took computers by storm back in the early to mid 1990's has returned once again in this awesome Collector's Bundle, which contains Doom, Doom 2, and Final Doom. Sure, these games are old, but hey, when it comes to Doom, I have NO problem being nostalgic! Doom rocks!

And for all the religious fanatics who protest against Doom because it contains violence, gore, and satanic imagery, let me say this: ID Software could have just as easily created a first-person shooter game where you go to heaven (instead of hell) and kill angels and God (instead of demons and zombies), but they didn't. So be grateful, you zealots, and shut the heck up!

By the way, if you're a true Doom fan, please stay away from Doom 3. You'll probably end up being disappointed like I did. Doom 3 is just a clone of Resident Evil and every level is totally dark and boring. Please, do the right thing, and stick to the original classics in this bundle!

      Enough said.

5-0 out of 5 stars its doom, its awesome
With other new and much funner games out today like Splinter Cell and XIII, Doom may now be a wee bit toothless, but its still tons of fun to play. This package, despite not having a manual and instructions for a beginner (but the game is so simple that unless you're a complete newcomer to PC games it should be effortless to learn) it is a GREAT deal. Buy it at Wal-Mart; they have it for $9.99; it includes all three full version original Doom games, an outstanding collection

5-0 out of 5 stars Any PC owner needs this.
I don't know why so many people on this site are complaining. This compilation is flawless. You've got everything you need here! You don't need some fancy jewel case or some detailed manual to play this. Anyway, let's split up what's in this package and get on with the review.......

Ultimate Doom: The one that started it all. The Ultimate Doom is basically the first Doom, but with 9 levels to add to the other 27, totaling 36. My favorite installment in this package.

Doom II: The direct sequel to Doom, adding the Super Shotgun, twice the number of enemies, 32 new levels, and plenty of other extras. This entry feels a bit different than its predessor, but still, it's a fine entry in the Doom universe.

Final Doom: Other than 64 new levels, this entry adds nothing new to the franchise. It's still very enjoyable, but it does lose some of its charm for adding nothing we've seen before. It's still a very fun and enjoyable game, though.

Bottom Line: Just grab this. It'll run on any computer manufactured after 1995, and all of the games here are still fun and addictive (even after 10+ years!). Add to all that the low price, and this excellent compilation will completely change your opinion on a vacation in Hell.
