The Great Game Gear
If you're planning on buying any portable system, the Sega Game Gear should be #1 on your list. Here's why!

1.Slick look, amazing graphics, sound, and color.

2.Awesome games, tons to choose from(Shining Force and Sonic games are my personal favorite.)

3.Backlit screen is a dream come true. Don't have to worry about lighting or glare like the Game Boy systems, and you can play well in the dark!

4.Price is definately a plus. I got mine for only ... with two games! That's less than half the price of a Gameboy Color without any games. Usually games are only $10 to $15!

5.Does eat batteries, but lasts long and with an adaptor, you don't even have to worry about it(car adaptor and rechargable battery pack make it even better).

6.Excellent choice of accesories, including cases for everything or just games, screen magnifyer, power sources, and TV tuner.

7.As expected, can go anywhere, a wonder on road trips, especially at night!

In my opinion(and probably many others), the game gear is the best portable system out there. I'm only 14, but I know a good system when I see one. Even now it's still impressive, and it was put out back in 91'. Kids can finally shove a system in a game boy lover's face a yell "HA!" They'll be amazed! It is a tad heavier than most systems, but most probably won't even notice. I wouldn't advise it for kids under 7, due to weight(my sister's loves video games and is only 6, but can't really grip the game gear). But if you're over 7, the Game Gear is any hard core gamer's fantasy system! Buy it!

The Great Sega Game Gear
If you're searching for the perfect portable game system, search no more, the Game Gear should be the only one on your list. Here's why!

1.Slickest look of any system out there! Great color, graphics, and sound(especially with headphones).

2.Loads of great games, about 200(Shining force and Sonic are my personal favorite!

3. The backlit screen is like a dream come true! It gives great detail in light, and you can even play in the dark! No more worries about lighting or glare like the Gameboy color.

4. Does eat batteries(takes 6 AA, yes that's what I said), but with the A/C adaptor, car adaptor, or rechargable battery pack(each usually cost under $10), there shouldn't be much of a problem.

5. A bunch of cool acceseries too! There's numerous power sources, screen magnifier, carriers for everything, a cable that connects 2 Game Gears for two-player games, and even a TV tuner!

6. The price is unbeatable. I got mine for ... with two games, which is less than half the price of a Gameboy Color without any games to play!

7. Best of all, it's just great fun, especially on road trips or at parties!

I got my Game Gear about a month ago, and I'm still having loads of fun with it. It's definately not the kind of thing you'll get bored of! Finally, you can shove a system in front of a Gameboy lover's face a yell "HA!!" I wouldn't recommend it to chirdren under 7 due to the weight and size(my sister is 6 and loves video games but she can't really grip the Game Gear). It's usually not a problem if you're older. But it's everything you'd ever want in a portable system, and I would recommend it more than any other. Go Buy it!!!

The Prime, Stunning, Superior, Whiz-Bang Sega Game Gear!
There is no doubt about it, the Game Gear put out by Sega is the greatest handheld console ever! Cooler than Gameboy Advance, the Game Gear has a color screen, and has a built in back light so you can play it at night! We always take it with us on long drives, playing the greatest games! (Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six, Jungle Book, Sonic the Hedgehog, and more than 200 other games!) With today's technology, the Game Gear may look like chopped liver! You can look anywhere, but mostly every game gear game is way cheaper than those gameboy games! The games are less violent than today's games, and they have more imagination put into them. It's a great investment, a great way to relax and take your mind off of life's troubles. I certainly will keep my Game Gear forever! Get one, and enjoy every minute of it!

Deep Fun
This game is way fun obviously, because you get to play Donald Duck! The easy levels (the Bosses at the end of each level are sort of difficult to beat, but after a while, you know their moves and then they're easy to beat) provided me with hours of great gameplay. This is one of Game Gear's funnest games!

An asset to any Game Gear owner.....
Deep Duck Trouble is an awesome adventure game where Donald Duck (you) must return an amulet to a secret island. But there's a catch: You must have keys from different locations on this island to return the amulet. In order to get those keys, you must race, jump and push your way through the levels. The game is addicting and is great for long trips. If you have a Game Gear, be sure to buy this game!

Game Gear has to have better
I got this game because when I bought my new Game Gear I knew that new games wouldn't be around much longer. I bought something off Amazon before and I figured since I still had an account I thought I should use it. Not many games were left at the time so I picked this up and Aladdin. The game had great graphics, for a hand-held anyway, but the game was just boring. Walking around as Donald Duck and kicking stuff isn't what I call fun. After getting to the second level and not being able to beat the part with Donald swimming away from the shark, I gave up.

The problem with this game is that everybody tries to make platformers. Not all platformers are good, most are actually really bad. This game would fall into the mediocre area. ... Read more

Just like the original
This game is exactly as it was on the arcade. The sounds are the same even. Some of the newer games try to remake old games with fancy sound tracks or lame storylines like in pacman world. If you didnt't like the original Ms. Pacman with it simple graphics and sounds, then don't bother buying it. Otherwise, this is a must-have for any true pacman fan.

Jungle Book has won the Best Game of the Year Award!
Jungle Book is the funnest game made for Game Gear! There are dozens of levels including Jungle By Day, The Great Tree, Kaa, Dawn Patrol, By the River, In the River, The Village, Louie 1, The Falling Ruins, Louie 2, Jungle at Sunset, Jungle by Night, then Shere Khan! I personally loved it and have played it for hours! I also like how Mowgli throughs bananas at bad monkeys!

the BEST game gear game!!!
after playing DEEP DUCK TROUBLE, and ALADDIN, i finally got jungle book for the game gear. Deep duck trouble must be the WORST game of all time! anyways, in JUNGLE BOOK, i think it is the ONLY game gear game where u can actualy ATTACK. the other games i played on game gear the ONLY thing you could do is JUMP! how boring. i love jungle book u can actually attack the enemies. you have to find 8 gems to pass the level, and u can to climb vines. the only bad thing is, that its a lil too hard. i never got passed the first stage

Medicore at best
Jungle Book is the third best Disney Movie Game for Game Gear, it is in the format of Aladdin(JumpingNRunning alot but Aladdin pulls it off MUCH!! better than Jungle book. Jungle Book also faals into the trap of being a direct clone of the Genesis version(Which was more challenging anyway) which doesn't give it of the originality that Aladdin posses. Aladdin is best, then Lion King(which is not much better), and Jungle Jungle Book is last because at least Lion King was more challenging. But they both are clones of their big cousin. Aladdin-First Class Game!
Aladdin is really neat-it follows the exact storyline as the actual movie! It has cool graphics and 8 great levels, ending with the battle with Jafar! A must-have!

This game is PERFECT!!!
The Aladdin game for Sega Game Gear is an awesome game with hours of gameplay! The game follows the storyline, so if you haven't seen the movie (shame on you ^_~) you can still enjoy the game! It has plenty of action and dash scenes, but be sure to buy the instructions too, because the button combinations are hard to figure out without it. This game is a must if you have Game Gear!

Not bad
I bought this game from Amazon at the same time as Deep Duck Trouble. This game is clearly better in every aspect. The graphics are good and the game is kind of fun. The game isn't at all what I expected, which doesn't make it bad though. I figured that in the game you would go around and fight bad guys with a sword but what I got was Aladdin running away from people and dodging stuff. Entertaining for a while but it gets old. ... The best Sonic game for the Game Gear
"Sonic Chaos" was one of the first games I played for the Game Gear and also one of my favorites. Like most Sonic games, it's a lot of fun and has some good replay value. It also has good graphics and control.

If you have a Game Gear, I would recommend getting "Sonic Chaos." My only complaint is that some parts of it are too easy, but it's still a lot of fun to play.

This game is AWSOME
This game rules!!!! You can be sonic or tails.With sonic you can grab Rocket Shoes and Pogo Springs. With tails you can fly. As usual Dr.Robotnik up to his old trix by trying to get the 7 chaos emeralds and you have to stop him. This game has good graphics and sound. Its very fun. Its not hard but its not easy its in between. This was the first game I got for gamegear and I spent hours and hours playing this game even when I beat it with both sonic and tails it is tones of fun even after beating it. If u have a game gear I advise you to bye this game as soon as possible.

Grrrreat Game!
Lion King is a great game with fairly easy levels. You start out in the easy level, Pridelands, then move through more difficult levels like, The Mane Event, Elephant Graveyard, Stampede (Hardest), Exile, Hakuna Matata, Simba's Destiny, Be Prepared!, Hyena Lairs, then the last one, Battle Against Scar. This cool game is a must have!

Aladdin was better
Lion King is an ok Game Gear Game, That you can beat in about 1hour. It has some nice jumpNrun levels that don't last long enough. It is one of three good Disney movie games,Aladdin and Jungle Book being the others. Aladdin is the best one because it is original and doesn't follow the Genesis version. Lion King is a direct clone of the genesis one and is a little fun. I'd give 3 stars

Interesting at some points....
... but in around half of your playing time the game feels like a not-so-well-thought-out copy of the Genesis version with platforms scattered around that aren't necessarily relevant to the level design. Perhaps the reason the level design in some levels isn't that good is because the apparently decided it would attract people if they added a sonic element to it; Simba moves about twice as fast as in the Genesis version. And since he moves faster, the level has to be bigger, and the developers apparently were too lazy to think up a good level design for a big level. The first level is especially bad, I think.

The second level gets better, though, and although the level design drops somewhat in the 3rd and 4th levels (It's possible to get through the 4th level in 30seconds!), it gets more interesting in the 5th (they had to think up something original for the stampede level because the Genesis version of the level would have been very hard to copy on the Game Gear).

The game has 10 levels in all, and each one is on the same subject as the one in the Genesis version.

Almost all the bosses are also the same.

All in all, this is a slightly-higher-than-average game that I think could have been a lot better if the developers didn't try copy the levels of the Genesis version but took their own take on the game (like the developers of the Game Gear version of Alladin did). ... Read more
