Gameplay:6/10: Fairly fun for a while but then you win 100 times. Man, this game gets boring quickly, so win the Grand Prix and then quit the game FOREVER! Graphics:4/10: Cartoonish graphics just like the gameplay. The characters look like their animated self while the background seems mushy and not good. Sound:3/10: It gets old after hearing Boop, bop, beep, boop, bop, beep over and over again. Control:7/10: The cars are easy to control but they do go crazy at times like when you crash, you get in last usually. Overall:20/40: I think that equals 2 and a half stars! But, since I can't seem to do halves, it rounds up to a 3! That's better than my Gadget Racers review!!!!! Maybe, soon, you'll see me again in one of my review things. See ya later!

Cart Fury Championship Racing Average Customer Review: CD-ROM (02 June, 2001) list price: $49.99 US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France Editorial Review Despite its Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) license,Midway's CART Fury Championship Racing is an arcade game throughand through. Players looking for a CART simulation will not find ithere. Instead, they'll discover an easy-to-play game in which a broadappeal is hindered by several flaws. For every positive aspect of this game, there's a negative one thatmore than neutralizes it. While the gameplay itself is verystraightforward--reminiscent of Midway's Rush and Hydro Thunderseries--its menus are quite frustrating. Although the graphics are good, thesound is extremely poor--the music isn't suited for CART and there's anoticeable lack of variety in sound effects. While the game features 15real-life CART racers and seven actual tracks, the racers behavenothing like their namesakes, and the fictional tracks are uninspired. The artificial intelligence deficiency is the most criminal. The game'sAI causes the computer-controlled drivers to behave very predictably, which makes several of your opponents too easy to defeat. The rest ofyour opponents are just as predictable in their dominance. This makesgame sessions either unchallenging or frustrating. The game's numerous faults make it difficult to recommend to seriousracing game fans. It does have Midway's trademark user-friendly appeal, making it an interesting choice for casual gamers looking foreasy-to-learn fun. --Raymond M. Padilla Pros:

Selectable racing modes capture the thrills, drama, and split-second decisions of the on-the-edge world of NASCAR. In NASCAR Heat 2002, players choose between beat the heat, race the pro, head-to-head, championship, and single-race modes. More than 36 all-new beat the heat racing scenarios, introduced by drivers like Jeff Gordon, give players the feeling of a one-on-one experience with the heroes of NASCAR, as they are forced to make split-second decisions and develop the same skills required by real NASCAR drivers. In race the pro mode, players try to outrun top drivers in the sport by racing against phantom cars driven by real NASCAR Winston Cup drivers. PS One Racing Bundle Average Customer Review: CD-ROM list price: $149.99 US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France Editorial Review This PS One value pack comes with the PS One console, the PS One memory card, the V3 racing wheel accessory, and the hit game Gran Turismo 2. About the system: The PS One has all of the same functionality as the original PlayStation workhorse, will work with all of the same peripherals and accessories, and will play the existing PlayStation game library, as well as audio CDs (also note that, like the original PlayStation, it's not compatible with the more advanced PlayStation2). The difference here is that this new model is quite a bit smaller than its older brother, and quite a bit cuter, too. The system is made up of a 32-bit, 34 MHz RISC processor with 16 megabits of main memory, 8 megabits of graphics memory, 24-channel stereo sound, a 2x CD-ROM drive, and one Dual Shock analog controller. That's not a lot of power compared to the next-generation systems out there; but, when you factor in its very low price and the enormous library of games that are available (more than 1,000 spread across every genre imaginable), one can see easily why it's as good a deal as ever. With optional portability accessories for the PS One (such as the 4-inch Mobile Monitor LCD screen attachment and rechargeable power supplies, to name a couple), this little machine could become a great option for the on-the-go gamer. About the game: Gran Turismo 2's driving action takes place on 20 different racecourses--almost double the number in the original game. There are more than 400 cars from which to choose, including newly added muscle cars and even a VW Beetle! While some racing games slide by with less-than-realistic driving control, the Gran Turismo series has won over die-hard car fanatics with its attention to detail and realism. About the accessories: The PS One memory card stores characters, special weapons, saved levels, high scores, or custom controller settings in a durable, compact design. This portable memory card allows you to suspend game progress and share game items with a friend's console. The fully adjustable and programmable V3 racing wheel is an analog/digital steering wheel controller with 300-degree wheel rotation. About this game pack: Amazon.com and Toysrus.com are pleased to offer this special PS One game pack. When you select a game pack for purchase, Amazon.com will ship your selection in a single box. Of course, you're free to add additional games or accessories to your order. Depending on item availability, these additional items might ship separately. ... Read more Reviews (2)
