4-0 out of 5 stars awesome game with one tiny flaw
c&c generals is an awesome game where u get to be a general of course and can control an army either the usa china or a strong terrorist force of the Global Liberation Army(GLA). u can build a strike team and have infantry tanks helicopters and jets.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not even close to living up to Red Alert series
The 3D gameplay they attempt here just doesn't work. It's not entertaining and addictive like the old RA 2.They should put effort into making a Red Alert 3.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great addition to a true classic
This game is very fun, and a necessary addition to anyone's game library. The storyline got a little whacky, but that is part of the charm. I like the new units that were added, and the ability to mix Allied and Soviet tech in some of the later missions.

Electronic Arts gave XWIS (strike-team.net) all of Westwood's old games and the online servers. This has dramatically improved fair gameplay, support, and competition.XWIS offers prizes for top players each month.Great game to be able to get all of this for. Also one of the best RTS sellers of all time.

      5-0 out of 5 stars A classic
This game came out 5 years ago, but I still play it. That is a testament to how great this game is. Not many old and NEW RTS games can match up to this one. The gameplay, graphics, sound, cheesy cut scenes, and replay value all get 5 stars from me.

This strategy game pits the militaristic forces of the Global Defense Initiative against the Brotherhood of Nod, an equally well-armed religious order. Players may play either side as the factions fight to control an ecologically ravaged Earth. The key to winning is tiberium, a plant that serves as raw material for weapons and factories. Controlling this powerful fuel source allows you to generate funds, raise armies, and fend off destruction.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!
I don't care if you are a novice gamer, a weak gamer, gamer with poor taste, half blind gamer, have no discretion or discernment this game is totally rock'n awesome! Some don't know a good game when they see it but there's no mistaking one like this.I have played every single C&C game made so far and none disappoint, and that's a fact!Even for those who, like I said before, don't know a good one when they come across it.Tiberian Sun is so detailed and graphically amazing anyone who says they don't like it either never tried it or have an alterior motive, call me on this, I'll prove it.Yes, I do defend all the games that are far ahead of their time yet don't get due respect, especially if a goof gamer tries to run them down.I've noticed that a lot of people run down certain games b/c they aren't good enough to play them or smart enough and that's fine, everybody has their own style and strengths but don't trash a game just b/c you're no good.Don't listen to those in opposition to TS, it is worth whatever it takes to get and play. This is a strategy game that got me addicted to strategy games. The only problem I have with this one is that WS didn't create a sequel.

3-0 out of 5 stars Same as the original
Remember Command and Conquer, the real-time strategy that lets you build a base, a lot of units and rush the opposing force? You'd think the developers of the original would come up with some innovative game play for the sequel. While maybe they can, they didn't here. Not only is the game play unchanged, it suffers from a weak story, poor balancing and computer AI and several small problems.
5-0 out of 5 stars Tiberian Sun is still the best of the C&C/Red Alert series!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever..
HehE i Dont have an amazon account...Well anyways back to the game. The Game C&C Renegade in my words is a good game. There are two teams you can be on which are GDI and NOD. NOD is red and GDI is yellow. Some of the maps that you start out with are Islands,Walls,Walls (Flying),Under,Volcano, the city one,and Hourglass. You can also download other maps from the internet that other people make that why if you see a gray map in the game it means you dont have it. When i say Flying it means your allowed to purchase helicopters and in the others your not allowed.
3-0 out of 5 stars This is not C and C close up
Okay yes this was a good game and all,but truthfully i was so disapointed to see that the characters looked nothing like what they were in the original c and c. In the original c and c the gdi infantry didnt look like a plumber. All the troops had on a modern solider oufit. The weapons may I say first are cool, but there not the m-16 or shoulder fired rocket launcher like in the original. The tanks and stuff there good with the exception of the artillery and humm-vee. The look nothing like in the original game. A second thing back to the weapons was that with the exception of the obolisk of light and ion cannon there were no laser weaponry. Also if nod had lots of lasers in 1999(yea 1999)then why didnt they have them in Command and Conquer Tiberium Sun for every solider. A DUH!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars One of the best attempts at a cross-genre approach
Greetings General - It looks like this time, we're going to need to get our hands dirty. That's right, this time there's no advantage in numbers, we need you to go in solo.Command and Conquer Renegade places you into the first shooter in the C&C universe.Playing the role of Nick "Havoc" Parker in your quest to stop Nod's most evil plot to date.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun but hard
Command & conquer Red Alert is a game I usually play at my friends house. Its a pretty fun video game. If you like strategy games which makes you think you will love this game. Its really hard as well. You can choose your country and have an army. You start off with $10,000 and you buy things that will keep your base safe because the other country is trying to kill you and destroy your land. You must get lots of soliders and good buildings and planes and lots of other things in order to defeat them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun!
Years ago, when this first came out I was hooked.Forming a online clan, we called our selves "sithlords".We were fully committed to having fun.Whats great about this game was the balance across the classes.I loved it.The story of the game was amazing as well. Now I have no idea if the servers are still up for online fun but it was truely nice at one point in time.
4-0 out of 5 stars Loads of fun
By now Nox is considered a pretty old game I'm sure, and it's long been discontinued by Westwood. Sadly, it will probably never see a sequel, as this game is much deserving. It was years ago that I played it, I couldn't stop talking about it at the time, and while it's not the most original game around, I haven't since found a CRPG to match it for shear playability and fun. Let this review be an ode to the late nights I spent immersed in its gameworld.
5-0 out of 5 stars cool game
this is one of the neatest games I've played.OK there are no chick characters and you can only customize you char so much, BUT it's so funny. The sound effects, and the visual is just great. It's not very realistic looking and it's a little faster than what I was used to, but it's definitely way too much fun (extremely time consuming, as every time I play, I end up at my computer for hours!) ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Has problems with Windows XP
It is really a shame that this game was never updated for windows XP. You can run most of the features, but the practice shooting range no longer works and this is an important feature. You need to practice to do well in solving the puzzles. I wrote to them a while back but they showed no interest in providing a fix. I guess they made their money and don't care.

It's an old game by todays standards but well worth the 6 bucks I paid for it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Average game that's incredibly immersive.
There are two things to think about when talking about this game. One is the game mechanics themselves and one is the execution of the look and feel of the game. On the former the game lacks, but as far as the way the game looks and sounds you will be hard pressed to find a computer game that puts you this deeply into a franchise. Blade Runner is this kind of game.

        2-0 out of 5 stars Great games-but...
I remember playing these games almost 10 years ago, and I really loved them. But this one does not run on Windows XP, and most nowadays computers use Windows XP. What's the point with a new release of these classic games if you are not able to play them unless you have a computer from the middle nineties? For me it was a waste of money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Game
This is an extremly good collection of games. I was having trouble locating most of these games and expansions in stores but this puts all of them into one. This collection has well over 100 missions. Some of you might have seen the graphics of the origional command and conquer before your computer became too good to run it. This includes Command and Conquer gold! It is the same as the origional except for two reasons. The graphics are much much better and it works with higher OS's such as Windows 95,98, and ME. This is an extreamly good package for a good price. Definatly worth getting.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game package rocks!!
This game package is the coolest because if you buy these items seperatly you would come out to be paying $75.00- $90.00.It may not have good graphics ether but you get cooler wepons , missions, and solos.Plus if you think it might have good graphics, in a scence you're right!! But don't get your hopes up to much because it wont be as graphical as any Playstation games or something. But trust me.It's an awsome deal!!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A game that does not disapoint!!
If you are reading this review you probably loved Tiberium Sun and are thinking of getting the expansion pack. For an expansion pack this game does not dissapoint! If you can look past the game's advanced difficulty you will have a heck of a time.Though it can't compete with Red AlertII or Renegade, this is one of the best games Command and Conquer has to offer.I picked up this game about 3 or 4 years ago and I have not put it down!I would recomend this game to any fan of R.T.S's or if you like watching inocent civillians getting mutated and tibarium monsters wiping out entire cities on enoying "guard the city" levels. The new units are cool and all but they do little to make the game more interesting. But man! does the game have replay value! Just like Tiberium Sun,Firestorm has an infinite number of ways to complete the level, and sometimes its fun just to build the biggest base possible.I'm sure you will love this game!I got all my friends hooked on it and now they own almost all the Command and Conquer games!I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do.
5-0 out of 5 stars Hey Cesar
I don't have the Firestorm Expansion but I do have the original game. If you think the computer is pathetic try level two instead of bein' a wuss. They Really put up a fight(usually). Or even better try it on the internet its a blast. Everybody on there is pretty good and you'll usually lose.3-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this package....
For the same price you can get tiberian sun along with this expansion pack. Why pay [this much] just for this? Get the combination pack called "fire power" for the same price and you will have an additional TS game to share with a friend. That package also provides you with a TS soundtrack CD which is pretty cool to listen to. As for the firestorm pack i would say it provides some nice additions. Several additional units on each side and some minor changes to some units that westwood thought would help the competiveness. They do. For example GDI jump jet infantry have been given better range and the ability to see cloaked units and structures. They have added the juggernaut to the GDI which is similar to the nod artillery. Another neat addition is the mobile war factory that is available for both the nod and the GDI. The nod is gifted with a multiple missile launcher. Of course you get several new maps which are bigger and better than the TS ones. The firestorm map editor provides the opportunity to make some really neat maps. Unfortunately none of these maps will work without the firestorm disc in case you have a friend who doesn't have it. Also firestorm brings a slightly improved steamlined look for some units. Not a big change but the firestorm graphics seem just a bit cleaner and sharper.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring
Boring and cut-scene crazy. Not much different than the original command n conquer.Come 'on, let's get original you guys!

4-0 out of 5 stars Average strategy game with some lost potential
Let's face it...the Command and Conquer line has earned it's place in gaming history and will continue to be apart of that history for a time to come. Blending a great deal of strategy with economics. This game is one of the middle level games on the ladder of the great games that have come from the good people at Electronic Arts as far as C&C games go. The game is graphically impressive and is a dream in playability allowing the use of various strategies to achieve one objective. But, the game is still a spot linear in achieving these objective. The units in the game however are suppose to earn intelligence with the amount of combat experience they recieve, particularly the infantry. I never saw this losing more infantry that any other unit in the game, even the armor which I utilized most, But this did not really detract from the overall experience. The storyline is still as good as Red Alert and lays the ground for later Command and Conquer games to come. So if you can find this game cheap...I suggest you pick it up...it'll give you a decent amount of fun and might make you think a little. :) ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This game brings me back to my high school days. I never had the opportunity to finish the game in high school. Now that I own it, I have to make time to play it like I used too. I'm just happy I could find it. It looks just like it did back in the 90s. That's what I love about it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Looks good, but...
The game looks good and has some nice control features, but it is exactly the same game as Dune 2 in content.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dune: The Ultimate Stratiegic Battle Game
Dune truly is an awesome game.Choose from three houses and battle for control of the spice on the planet Arrakis, or Dune. You get to choose what kind of vehicles and tanks to produce in conquering the entire planet. The graphics are good, but it was probably intended more for the idea of the game, (Which is flawless).Sure made me power hungry. In general, it is a most stunning battle game. ...

5-0 out of 5 stars C&C on XP
Now I'm only gonna say this once, to play C&C: Tiberian Dawn AND Red Alert 1 on XP use the compatability mode at 95 or 98.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pure excellence.
Command and Conquer as a franchise (with the disappointing exception of Generals) is quite simply THE greatest strategy game of all time. Period. There is really nothing bad that can be said about the series. If you don't own these games, buy them.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's still fun, and the music superB

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool game. Cool units and battles!
The very first Command and Conquer is extremely fun to play. The missions are exciting and can be challenging at times. You can get glued on this for hours, for fun, or you may be stuck on a complex mission for some time. GDI and NOD are both very cool sides, and both have exotic units and structures. Some of the mission play can be strategic or tank rush like. On the GDI mission in Hungary, you get to build a base and destroy NOD presence in the area. This includes: Their vehicles, infantry, structures, everything. I used many Medium Tanks + Humm Vees, barged into their base, and took out their construction yard and Tiberium Refinery. They were weakened after that, and a built several more Humm Vees and killed the Turrets and Hand of Nod. I built an APC, and filled it with engineers to capture the rest of that base. This was a somewhat strategic mission unlike some of the very first ones. For those of you who just began C&C, the missions will be challenging, and it will take you a while. In my opinion, this is the best NOD and GDI conflict game. If you finsh this game, try Tiberian Sun, but keep this winner. ... Read more
