5-0 out of 5 stars Solid Game
Its a great game even if you only play offline like I do.Definitely measures up to Blizzard standards and is as good if not better than all its precursors.Great game at a fair price!

5-0 out of 5 stars Bought the chest to play Dota.
One day I was hanging out with my friends, and I saw them playing Warcraft Dota Map on Battlenet.I had so much fun watching them play that I told myself I have to get into the action.Spent less than $30 to buy the chest on Amazon.Got it within a few days with free shipping. In my opinion, nowadays $30 can't even get you a full tank of gas anymore. This chest provides me with hours of entertainment with my friends, all for less than $30!!I think getting it is a no brainer and a bargain. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This is seriously one of the best computer games that I have ever played. The game takes a lot of startegy and takes awhile to learn but once you get going it's terrific. You are given a mission or multiple missions to complete during a progress campaign to stop the Beast enemy from wiping out all who stand in their way. Playing the game at harder and harder difficulty levels makes every mission all the more challenging to complete. The graphics are incredible, especially considering that this is hardly a new game.Everything looks realistic, from the phasers and torpedoes to the ships fading in and out as they move farther away from the viewing camera.Controlling an entire battle fleet is a challenge, but the controls are easy to use and fighting battles on three or four different fronts at the same time is not difficult. This game will be a lot of fun to everyone who enjoys strategizing and engaging in massive space battles.

4-0 out of 5 stars This is one of those games that make you feel small and insignificant.
When you start this game you wouldn't expect it to be anything to special. There aren't any big impressive intro cut-scenes, just the game makers insignias. The main menu itself has no impressive grafics, but once you click on single player the fun begins. The inro cut-scene puts you right into the game with a little history, and then a transition from a rendered scene of what is called a Hyper-space core, to an in game shot of two resource collecters latching on and transporting the core to a mothership. This is where I was suddenly swept away by this game. The shear size of the ships you can command. One of my favorites is the largest offensive ship in the fleet; the Battlecruiser. The size and capabilities of each ship is what gets me about this game. I don't even need to mention the actual gameplay itself; just look at my rating. I recommend this game to any rts fan. It's quite a change from the standard X and Y battle fields with the addition of the Z axis. Have fun gamers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting, complex, and fun game
I ordered this game after playing the demo, and I have to say it was well worth it.The storyline is interesting, the soundtrack iscool and has an egyptian/middle eastern feel to it.The graphics are excellent, so excellent that sometimes you'll find yourself just watching the war between massive fleets and storms of fighters. Also worth mentioning is the large number of cool mods out there for this game.Being a starship combat game, there are Star Wars mods (the best), Star Trek mods, and other custom mods. This game will give you plenty of hours of entertainment for its good price. It's one of the few extremely good 3-D space combat RTS games you're going to find, so if that's the experience you're looking for, you won't be dissappointed by this game. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Classic game, well worth the $
Great game no matter what anyone says. A little dated but solid story and game to match.

4-0 out of 5 stars Starcraft should be a classic game. It is just that good.
This should be consider one of the classics games in the game world. It has been the top 10 games for a couple of years and it is still widely played today. This package contains the original and expansion pack with strategy guides which is really good deal. This game is a strategy game which has a very awesome story line for its campaign. And if you want to get out of the RPG/MMORPG craze Starcraft is a the best strategy game to go back on. If you are debating between Starcraft and Warcraft, I have to say Starcraft would be a better choice. Starcraft requires more skill and it open lots more opportunity than warcraft with its massive number in army and units.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
This game initially came out around 10 years ago with an expansion pack couple years later. Personally I only play battle.net mode(online play) because there user created maps and missions unlike the ones that come with the game. If you plan to get this game I highly suggest having internet connection. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Strategy Game Ever!!
I bought this a month ago and I still haven't stopped playing it.I would definitely recommend this game to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Very Best....
Warcraft 3 is a terrific game.I could waste your time telling you that the 3d graphics are still good even after being out for so long.It has a good story that makes you want to play (unlike recent Command and Conquer games). When there's also twice as many races from that of Warcraft2 as well as the addition of Hero units you get a nifty game. Then pick up the expansion set. Then go and play it online you will not be dissapointed ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I love it
I keep coming back to this game. I love the challenge of building the city, and the battles aren't bad now I've figured out the strategy involved. ;)
5-0 out of 5 stars Caeser's Legon
I think Caeser 3 is a great strategy game that is fun and challenging. I'd have to say that Caeser 3 is a great war game if you chose to play on a not so peacful province. But even with a peacful province you can still have fun by trying to get a lot of people and other things. I like personally building up your city until the whole map is full then I build another city.Like I said before this is also a great war game, you can have up to 96 soldiers in your army. You can have 6 forts 16 men in a fort, but not only that you can have different soldiers such as Mounted on horses, Javilen with javilen, and Legonaries with sords and shields. If you train your army then you will domenate the battle fields. You can fight Caeser's army made up of blue Legonaries, also a lot more that you can check out. But my personal favorite are the barrbarions that come on some missions.
5-0 out of 5 stars great game
I still go back to this game and play it every once in a while. it is one of the best games I ever played. I wish they would re-make it with modern graphics.

5-0 out of 5 stars StarCraft:A Classic
Wow, I wasn't really sure what to expect when I bought this game!I had only played once before at a friend's house, and thought, "Oh sure, it's fun, I guess."But after buying this from Amazon, I had yet to discover the fulness of the game!As old as it may be, I discovered how many people still go online to play the game! That alone is proof of how good a game this is.Creating armies to conquer the battlefield, using great strategy along the way, this game really gets you thinking, too!I absolutely love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Blizzard gets the formula right!
Hailed by critics as merely "Warcraft in Space" back when it was released, Blizzard Entertainment's gem is a standard by which all strategy games are now judged. There are 3 playable races to choose from, the xenomorphic alien Zergs, the highly evolved technological Protoss, and the resourceful Terrans. The races are meticulously balanced, and all of them are unique in every sense of the word. The strategies you must devise to win have to be drastically different based on the race you play with, there is no single formula for success, you have to utilize your races' strengths and cover up your weaknesses against your enemy.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simply the best
This game is the ultimate in RTS.All of the new RTS games focus on beautiful graphics and cool cut scenes. But after all these years, Starcraft still remains the most refined RTS with the best balance and gameplay you can imagine. If you're a RTS game fan, then you already know how great this game is.If you're not an RTS game fan, then get this game and see the light! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Always have great fun
Wow wow wow...what can I say, if you think Starcraft is fun, you should REALLY try Broodwar, The enhancement may not be a lot, but they kinda gives everyone a little more incentive to fight. Absolutely fantastic game that still thrills me everytime I play. With hundreds or maybe thousands of map available for downloads, you can be sure of hours, days, weeks, months or even years of fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars Old Gamer
This is an awesome game from Blizzard...Graphics, Play, Sound...It's an older game with ALOT to offer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Game Period
I have been playing this game for 5 or 6 years. It is the best game period. It is somewhat difficult but not impossible to complete. Plenty of levels and missions. Good controls, great graphics for it's time and still stands up well to this day, great sound, good music, great storyline. There is a campaign editor, so after you have finished playing the regular game you can create your own game or play some of the custom games that are already provided. I keep waiting and hoping that Blizzard is going to do a quality sequel to this game and right now I am very disappointed that I have not heard anything to indicate that they are. One more thing, although system requirements does not state it, it will work on Windows XP, it has on mine anyway, without using the compatibility mode I might add. This is a great game do yourself a favor go out and buy it, now! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Game, prompt shipping
I've been a longtime fan of starcraft ever since it came out... which I'm sad to say is becoming a quite large body of time. The product was great, except that the cd-key I was provided with the software was muted on battle.net.I'd never even seen that before.I'm having to spend a great ammount of time correcting that, but otherwise, delicious!

5-0 out of 5 stars StarCraft i didnt just get this game had it since i was 10
This is a great game truly a great game very good very very good lovet the races and story and characters like Jim Raynor awsome guy and love the expansion pack and want a starcraft 2 sometime(not ghost!)

5-0 out of 5 stars Real Time Strategic Slugfest
StarCraft does fall into the RTS genre; resource gathering, unit creation, base building, ect. But it isn't as demanding for a strategic genius as games like Age of Empires or Rise of Nations. Nonetheless, it's an explosive game that will keep you busy for a long time. In a way, StarCraft is a great change of pace for fans of more complex RTS games (like me). Playing Rise of Nations all the time can start to get overwhelming because of the constant mass and micro management needed. In StarCraft, you don't have to deal with a ton of diplomacy issues or anything like that. A typical game has things set up kind of like an RTS death match. All of the resources you need are sitting right next to your base. Collect them, build defenses, then build an army. You can choose from three different races. The Terran, a human army of colonists, Zerg, a race of bugs, mutants, and everything creepy and crawley, and the Protos, a super intelligent race with psionic powers. Each race (Terran, Zerg, Protos) have their one advantages and disadvantages. The Terran are well balanced and are best for beginners. They have good infantry and a variety of defenses. One good advantage is that important Terran Buildings (command centers, barracks, ect.) can lift off the ground and fly to a new area for a quick escape. The Zerg rely on the masses. Their units are not as powerful but they are also less expensive and some are created in groups. One of their disadvantages is that they cannot build (mutate) on normal ground; only on a thick slime that covers the ground near their buildings. The Protos have very powerful units, but they are more expensive and take longer to build. A huge advantage for the Protos is that they don't have to sit at a construction site and waste time building it up. All you have to do is get one of your little probes to warp the building in. The second the probe reaches the building site, they actavate a portal and the building basically starts to build itself, allowing the probe to tend to other matters. As a side effect, they can't repair damaged buildings. The sounds are nothing to make a whole extra section about (zap, boom, kerpow, "gimme somethin' to shoot.") but they're what you would expect from a game like this. The music also fits the mood perfectly. The graphics are about the same as Age of Empires II with a slightly more animated look making everything look and run smooth. It's hard to tell how good the AI is because of the simple tactics they use; launch waves of troops at your enemies and destroy them all. The AI also loves to rush. Expect to be attacked about five minutes into the game. Along those lines, the computer does very well. The environments are very interesting and original, covered with black dirt, craters, strange animals and purple trees. StarCraft also has a great (and free) online multiplayer with an endless number of people to play with. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not that good
i thought the the new empire earth II would be as thrilling and exciting as the first version. Wrong. Requieres too much ram resources, and the game it's just not fun anymore, even tough has some cool new features but the game isn't friendly enough.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game But Confusing
This game is excellent! The graphics are great and I love the abundance of features in this game!It is certainly an improvement over the original Empire Earth. However, the game does take a little getting used to and can be confusing.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible... Just Horrible
Wow... talk about a shocker.I loved EE1 and thought that EE2 would be one heck of an improvement.I could not have been more wrong. My first clue was how slowly my mouse was moving on the screen... ok, so I'll just adjust the mouse options and speed them up.Guess what... there are 2 mouse options, reverse buttons and scroll speed. That's it.Unreal.(and for all you who like to dismiss complaints like that b/c of a poor system, let me just say that this is running on a 2 month old P4 3.2Ghz (HT) with 1 G ram, top of the line GeForce card on a custom built platform so this is a game play issue, not a system issue.)

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Bad
This one was just okay for me.I am a big fan of Warcraft and this game is along the same lines. My copy was a bit buggy though, with visual glitches which took away from my enjoyment. The game is licensed from the books, so the orcs and such are a little differant from the movie versions. If you want the movie version, go pick up Battle for Middle Earth. All in all, this game had decent graphics, good AI, and had kept me entertained.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Battle for Middle Earth remains superior
After playing the incredibly good Battle for Middle Earth I urged my brother to get this game.I have played all the Lord of the Rings games including The Fellowship of the Ring and The Hobbit which (IMHO) were decent games.I eagerly awaited first playing The War of the Ring.
4-0 out of 5 stars good game
I dont see what everyone has against this game (except for the graphics, which raise the question: was Picasso on the design team?) as long as you ignore the fact that this is a LOTR game. It is fun to just get a bunch of trolls and a hero and smash everyone. As for BFME being better, I have to say this game was strong in certain areas and BFME was strong in certain areas, but if you were to choose between the two, pick BFME ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Simple fun building game
Great buildup to all aspects of game = easy to learn. Simple, slightly repetative game play. Still loads of fun and slightly addictive (if one loves city building games).

5-0 out of 5 stars pharoah PC game
It's a really fun game. It's a great building game, but it takes a long time.My Mom says "my kids love this game, and I prefer that they play this educational game that is fun rather than the killing games.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great city-building game, similar to Caesar 3
Pharaoh is very similar to its predecessor, Caesar 3. While Caesar 3 is Roman style, Pharaoh is in Egypt. Just as Caesar 3, Pharaoh is the game for fans of any Simulation game. As the location of this game is mainly on desert, you have to deal with small "green" area where you can put well on it to distribute the water to your citizens. One source for the food is the ostriches that are located in certain area on your map. Therefore, building your city needs a good plan to make sure your citizens are not short of food and water. I really like this game, and you may too! I was playing this game for months a few years ago and now I miss this game and want to play another mission. :D

5-0 out of 5 stars A great game you can enjoy for a long time
I bought this game looking for something that would be fun in my spare time and became addicted!
5-0 out of 5 stars MYTHOLOGY ENTHUSIAST LOVES THIS GAME!!!!
I have loved Greek Mythology since I was 8 years old.Loved it so much that I'm kinda a scholar of it, to a degree. So, basically anything that has anything to do with Greek Mythology I simply love.
5-0 out of 5 stars The game never ends!!
I purchased this game with the Poseidon expansion (Acropolis)for about $4 at a local game store thinking it would just be a way to waste spare time. I became addicted to it in almost no time at all with gods battling each other, keeping people happy and healthy while trying to build onto your city. I was shook up when I tried to install it on my new system and it would not install to save my life because it was too scratched. Since then, I've tried to re-purchase Acropolis willing to spend 5 times the ammount of money on it, but it is no longer available. I will find a way to have this full version game again so that spare time can be spent wisely making Hera tame Zeus and watching my little dudes run from the monsters which attack at any given time. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Age of Empires Continuation
I thought when I bought this that it was going to be a completely new style of game. I hadn't realized it was just the latest incarnation of Age of Empires. Needless to say I was disappointed by that.
5-0 out of 5 stars MY FAVORITE GAME EVER.
My favorite game used to be AGE OF EMPIRES 2 but once I got used to the different graphic style I grew to like the variety of this game better. I later bought EMPIRE EARTH 2 from SIERRA but it would play on my computer even though my computer more than met the system requirements. Sierra offered a 24 hour refund which I requested within an hour of downloaded the game from thier site for $50. There was no refund and no replies to my emails which means that Sierra ripped me off for $50.

5-0 out of 5 stars The funnest game Ihave EVER played
This game is the coolest! I especially love going through the ages. This game ischallenging. This is also very fun buildingwith the military. You should definitely buy this game! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Waecraft 2 an AMAZING game!
I havent played this game in 6 years and Im trying to get it again although I have Warcraft 3 I love Warcraft 2 more and I can't find it but that won't stop me from getting it. That's how much I love Warcraft 2 and that's how good it is. My favourite part of this game is the Battle net. because your not playing against dumb old computers but some skilled players. That's why I love Warcraft 2 Battle net. aside from the trash talk. I would suggest highly getting this game because you don't know what your missing! seriously.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my all time favorite RTS games ever
Although Warcraft 3 and its expansion have come out within the last few years, I still prefer Warcraft 2 a bit more. Yes the game looks kinda dated now, but it is still a blast to play. The game was fun in that it never got too complicated or anything so that newcomers could always have a good time. The map editor was easy to use and the online play in the Battle.net edition will keep you busy for a while. Anyways, if you've only played Warcraft 3 then it might be difficult for you to enjoy this game since it is so old, but if your willing to look past the graphics then you'll find a real gem.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oops
Great game.It looks like amazon actually posted a screenshot of warcraft I: Orcs and Humans, instead of a picture from this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disgracefull
This game looks like it was made by high school kids, it bares little resemblance to it's glorious predicessors. This "game" involves little more than staring at the computer screen wondering what is going on and what your supposed to do.You quickly learn that very little is going on and there is nothing for you to do.That's the worst part, the manual tells you virtually nothing, the game teaches you even less and then it plays on it's own at snails pace.
1-0 out of 5 stars nothing like lords 2 do not buy
they completely changed the intereface and the whole game in general. One of the worst sequels ever

2-0 out of 5 stars My Dust Collection
Realm 3 is an average game at best. Although ther is more interactive options and a much better 3D engine to this game, I have apparently become bored with it quickly, after finishing the tutorial and beginning play, it is already sitting in it's jewel case collecting dust with the rest of my "average" games. I've found myself playing Realm 2 more than this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars be protoss
this game is sweet because you can choose from three different story modes, terran, zerg and protoss. and also what is cool about this game is that it is an expansion pack. i dont know/get haow to play mutiplayer on this game but everyone else pry does. you can also make your own place. if only they made one of these for GC,PS2,or XBOX. if you know how to play warcraft you know how to play this game. all the people are different in this game and which fate will you choose?

5-0 out of 5 stars ultimate stupid time waster
all i have to say is to get this it cost like 10 dolla.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best game in my collection!
I've had this game for years, almost as long as I've had my computer, and I still play it! It's challanging, but not frustrating or complicated, and I spend hours designing city layouts and constructing huge monuments. It's a challange to create the most efficent city I can, and that's what keeps me playing. Sure, it's not a high-stakes, shoot-'em-up game, it's a good, clean game for all ages, and I recommend it highly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bowing to Pharoah
Pharoah is a simulation city-building game, based on Ancient Egypt, which allows you to build up cities from little mud huts to the great metropolises (plus pyramids, mastabas, statues and Sphinxes), while also providing neat little windows on demand to explain the real history. It looks complicated to the first time player, but it actually isn't that bad, and if you do get stuck, it's one of the few programs I've ever seen whose Help function is worth the time someone spent writing it.5-0 out of 5 stars Addicting city-building game + ancient Egypt = cool
Pharaoh is one of the most addictive strategy/city-building games I've ever played. I was hooked for days and days -- couldn't get to sleep. Awesome. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Game for the Micromanaging Person
    The Good:
4-0 out of 5 stars Better then Pharaoh and Caesar 1, 2, 3 or on par?
A great simulation game, and I loved the political aspect as well.Very hard to weigh up if it was better then the Caesars and Pharaoh though.

4-0 out of 5 stars OK But Microsoft Screwed Me Again
E:ROTMK is a great conquest and city builder game.Unfortunately, when I installed MS SP2, the game quits working.Well, not the entire game. The game will still funtion but you can't download the patch or the extra stuff so you are pretty much stuck with a game with all the bugs.I did enjoy playing it however and am planning on buying Ceasar 4 and probably Children of the Nile. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty cool game!
