OH MY GOD!
I played this game for two minutes.The first thing I wanted to do was to sign on to amazon.com and write a positive note about it.It is AMAZING!It installed easily.You only need the CD to start the game.Apparently there is a patch that you can download that allows for starting the game without a CD, but who cares?
an AMAZING chess tool, especially for chess newbies.
I have always enjoyed playing chess, although I have never been very good at it. Pretty much I knew how the pieces move as well as some very simple strategies such as forks, and simple traps (which were often avoided). Recently i've been getting back into it but this time I wanted to actually become good at chess. I couldn't decide if I wanted this one, Fritz or Chessmaster 9000 (slightly cheaper). Well, I am very happy with this purchase. I decided on this one because it has even more training material, which was my main goal.
Have to be a chess fan

Disappointing...
A word of warning to those of you who use something other than a mouse+wheel as a controller:Apparently the ONLY way to perform in/out zoom in this game is with a mouse-wheel.
Easily the best of the series
I'll just say up-front that i've never played any of the previous railroad games, so I though I would give my opionin here for those of you who are new to the genre (like myself). I purchased it mainly on the Sid Meier/Firaxis name, having been a rabid Civilization fan most of my life.
You've disappointed me, Sid.
The rail system in this game stinks. Nothing like RailRoad Tycoon 1,2,or 3. Please make a patch were you can add/remove signals. Please make a patch where you can control signals.

JUST Cause is... JUST okay.
Suspension of disbelief is such a fundamental part of the video game experience that we often take it for granted. Multiple lives and first-aid kits that instantly mend whatever ails you are conventions that we accept without batting an eye, even in games that purport to have realistic settings. That said, Just Cause is a visceral third-person action game with some outrageous action that will require an extra helping of that suspension of disbelief to be able to enjoy. But, if you can get past the infeasibility of a man hanging onto the tail of a flying jet with one hand, you might find a lot to like in Just Cause.
I Only Played the Demo
so maybe take this with a grain of salt, but I didn't really care for Just Cause. It seemed too much like Mercenaries to me, with the difficulty turned way way down, and also it seemed kind of pointless. I started playing and had no idea where i was or what i was supposed to be doing, and just by randomly shooting people I managed to complete 2 of 4 objectives in about 10 minutes. Seemed kind of silly

Great, Great Game
I'm not a huge FPS fan but every once in a while I need to fulfill my animalistic urges to blow something up and lay waste to others.FarCry is a beautiful game topped only by its playability.The AI is "smart" and will sneak around and flank, call for backup, sound alarms, etc... instead of just barrleing straight at you.A couple of times I've made the mistake of focusing on one guy or area and had another enemy pop up right in my face from the side.

Smash Hit for Nintendo
As one of the first games released for the GCN, SSBM is also one of the most amazing. Like its predecessor, it manages to deftly weave together exciting gameplay , nostalgic humour, and yes, replay value, to form a massively underrated sequel to one of the best games. Ever.
ALL Gamecube owners should have this game!
This is hands down the best fighting game of all time. Anyone over 7 should be allowed to own this game, even though the rating is T. No blood, the characters don't die (Instead of falling on spikes when you lose, you just appear clapping for the winner). And instead of just kicking and punching, you can fire blasts of energy, throw bombs, hit people with bats, or use lightsabers. Even my anti Nintendo friends love this game. The best character is Samus.

75 out of a 100 Due to mechanicle and AI flaws.
To begin with, this game has some excellent potential which the right patches could easily fix. The first is the AI, both friendly and hostile. First off the AI is much too hard on easy settings. For instance, even on Medium, it is quite possible to get swarmed by the AI five minutes into the game. Seriously, as the Goblins for instance, by the time I got a single Cave, and Mine up and running, with two groups built, I find myself fighting off six to seven groups of enemies, who are followed by back up.
crazy sweet game
This game rocks! It's got some major pros but it also has a small amount of cons. I'm a big fan of RTS games, like the age of empires series. This game has all the awsome traits of most great RTS games, but it adds a whole other level of gameplay from the lord of the rings additions. It has all the major factions, men, elves, dwarves, mordor, isengard, and the goblins. The men are basically rohan and gondor combined. i havent played as them other than the tutoriul so i dont know a lot about them. the elves rock out loud as archers (plus they have ents) and they have fair swordsman. the dwarves are definitly close range and seige,they dont even have calvary.

the bad. the races are so unmatched!the dwarfs have these catupults that kill all, the goblins can climb over walls(elimanating the point of having them)and the ura kai kill anything in there path (with the exception of horseman) and if the battle is even (1 v 1) the one with the better race wins with the exceptions of castles.now it is pretty fair in the natoriusly short campaine.but in skirmish mode its only fair if its plains and your the same race, or if the weak race starts in a castle.the good.the game is very realistic such as if horse man go up against pikeman head on there doomed but if they go to the side before the pikeman can turn, the pikeman are as good as gone

It Couldn't be Better....For the First Game....
I LOVE this game!The storyline is wonderful!I guess if you feel bored with the campaign, just go looking for easter eggs!But what I LOVE is playing multiplayer!And someone did bash the multiplayer, but there are TONS of rooms that will kick you out for cussing and/or killing your teammates! I've had this game for years, and I never get tired of playing online!Actually...it's kind of addicting...

Halo is an ausome game no matter what the other reviews say!
Halo combat evolved is one of the best games I have played. I haven't played multiplayer yet. This game has good graphics and a great storyline. You start out on the human ship the pillar of autumn. The covenent (sorry if i spelled this wrong) ship has cought up with the pillar of autumn and has boarded it. The covenent are aliens fighting to destroy the human race. Your only choice is to take cortana the main information program and try to escape the damaged pillar of autumn. You escape onto a giant ring floating in space. The outside of the ring is metal. But the inside is a world much like earth. The covenent believe Halo(the ring) is a weapon. The covenent do not know how to use Halo yet. You find Halo's main control system and find out what Halo really is. It is a prison for the flood. The human flood are truly gross creatures and I will not go into full detail about their "habits". Halo is not only a prison to keep the flood from escaping and spreading across the universe but it is also a place to study the human flood. This is only a few parts of the game. Don't ask me how I went from building to building without getting lost. All of the buildings look the same on the inside so watch out! I love the machines you get to ride in. My favorites are the ghosts. I highly recommend this game to any gamer anywhere.

Great Game
I know you see lego in the title and you think that this game is not for adults.I have seen previous reviews for this game and everyone gave this atleast 4 1/2 stars so I told me wife that we should get this for our son.Little did she know that I wanted to play this also.We just bought the game and I have been playing it for the last three hours while my son is in bed sleeping.It is a great game and I love how many unlockable characters there are.When my son is awake and ready to play he can understand the button secquence very easily.This is a great game and suggest it for people of all ages.

It's simple: I searched high and low for a UMD case. This one is excellent in terms of utility and durability. You can't beat the number of items it holds. My kids asked for more. I have no idea what another reviewer means by "texture."

I'd been storing my PSP games in an Altoids tin (yes, they really do fit nicely) but then I'd gotten more games than would fit in a single tin and I didn't want to risk the tin opening up and damaging my games. Wow!
I had this controller for almost 3 years and i have only had to change thge batteries once, and i play it a lot, it works completely great, i would recommend this to anybody with a gamecube.

Excellent, High-Quality, no lagging!
The bottom of the controller sticks out quite a bit, but this does not affect gameplay and other than that it is the same size as the regular gamecube controller. Simply fantastic (unless you're one of those people that just NEED to have rumble for some reason).

A brilliant (and fun!) role-playing adventure...
First, let me say that I bought this game without being very familiar with the TALES series.While I had read good things about the series, it was really by chance that I stumbled across it on GameSpot, read the review there, took a look at the screenshots, and decided that I wanted to give this game a spin.
Fantastic Addition to the Tales Series
While the Tales series isn't nearly as big as other series (namely Final Fantasy), it's still a particularly fun and satisfying game to play.For one, the Tales series has always been able to bring about fantastic gameplay and expansive worlds.While the stories sometimes seem generic they're brilliantly told with fantastic characters.Tales of the Abyss is the latest in the series and needless to say, if you liked Tales of Legendia or even the far superior (and arguably best) Tales of Symphonia, you'll more than likely enjoy this game.

Nice for the kids
I bought this shortly after it was released at a Target store--paid about $15 for it.I really like the castle collections, as I, too, was bored with the clouds and other dull collections.While you can produce a really neat collection for the castle, it's really hard to make a more adult themed room.I am in agreeance that it would have been better to have it as a downloadable expansion from their site. I am a die-hard Sims fan as well and I have even pre-ordered the Pets from EA.So far, this is the only expansion that I haven't been head-over-heals for.I am anxiously awaiting the release of the pets.

Sorry, Sims fans, it's a complete waste!!
Quite simply, I have bought EVERY SINGLE Sims game (including game console versions and handheld versions)and I have never been disappointed, until now.I'm such a Sims fan that I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed before this purchase.I can tell you that this "add-on" is nothing more than re-painted versions of already existing furniture that you have.The last time I checked, you can go on several websites and download many, many things just like this, for free (not to mention, do it yourself).Do NOT waste your money.Me?I'm waiting for the pets, hopefully that won't be such a let-down.

Save your money - This Stuff Pack is SHAMEFUL!
I bought this right after I bought Open for Business thinking that it would be a great compliment to my game. Boy was I ever wrong! There is a good reason why Maxis didn't give more previews of what would be in this stuff pack - it is a couple of low-poly, hideous objects, outfits, and recolors. I have spent more time on research papers than Maxis/EA did on this stuff pack. Would it kill them to make some quality hairstyles or even some new linens for the beds? If you want high quality downloads for your game, save your $20 and use it as a payment for a paysite or even go to a free site. The custom content offered on fan sites puts Maxis/EA to shame. Never again will I buy one of these stuff packs - it is basically stuff that is left out of expansion packs so that Maxis/EA can squeeze more money out of Sims 2 fans. ... Read more

One of the other FF collections to have
This collection isn't as bonus feature happy as Anthology was. this version of FF4 (2 in the USA at the time of the SNES/Genesis era) hasn't changed that much. the random battle loading screen is like the SNES version, the switch between field/world map to the character menu while loading is fast as hell (while sadly Chrono Trigger is slower than the 2 FF games for the Anthology collection and even slower than the other Final Fantasy games for the PSone Era (7,8,9)) Chrono Trigger has a lot of bonus features for this version. Squaresoft (at the time) put a S*** load of cinemas (mainly ending cinemas), has a list of music from the game, and other stuff. The gameplay is still the same, with the exception of what I said earlier, which is good otherwise. unlike Anthology, this collection has no bonus music CD (for those who care anyway). this is still worth owning anyway.

Final Fantasy Chronicles
This is one of the best games I have ever played. Anyone who is sceptical just needs to pick a controller and go. You won't be dissappointed.

Both Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger are excellent games (CT could be my favorite game of all time).Final Fantasy IV has been excellently restored to its original "hardtype" version.Story elements and dialog have been restored, which is extremely exciting.

Rockin Clue!
After I saw the advertisement for Clue DVD I immediately went out to buy it. I've always been a fan of Clue and this updated version provides players with some new twists and excellent graphics.While you are playing the game, the Butler and an Inspector often appear to provide you with Clues about the case. Another addition to the game is added locations and having to figure the time of the crime.Any Clue fan will appreciate this version!

Great Game True to the Orriginal
DOn't believe all the bad reviews as this is a great game. This game has great story and it expands on the Prison books in the first game. Tothose who said it changed that it didn't as it was never expalined nor confirmed that they died and that is explained in the opening montage. The story is excellent and intriguing and the puzzels are hard but most of the puzzles are in the myst games. This is a great game and as to it not running, it won't run on DVD-RW drives only, and the only problem I had was to upgrade my graphics card and it wotks fine. It even works on my Dell XPS laptop. If all you have is a computer with minimum graphics and only a DVD-RW you can't run it. Otherwise it will run great.

Monkey puzzle -Are you kidding?!
I loved the first MYST game. When I received MYST IV as a gift,I was brimming with anticipation. Initially,after nearly arriving to meet Atrus,something went horribly wrong with the graphics. After a while,I was able to do something (disabling something,I think)to get the graphics back. It was worth it because the worlds were beautifully done,especially Serenia. It was gorgeous and intriguing. As spectacular as the graphics were,a couple of the puzzles were annoying or arbitrary,but difficult.I normaly enjoy puzzle games;they're actually the only type I usually play. With MYST IV,I found that I had to consult the official game guide(also a gift)twice. I don't like having to resort to that,it can spoil a game. I did like the fact that there was some interaction with the characters and some of the interesting features of the game(SPOILER;the linking books;END SPOILER,the camera,etc...). Then,just as I was starting to enjoy the game I came across something that had no place whatsoever in a puzzle solving game-requirement of impossibly quick mouse movements! I'm talking about(SPOILER)that absolutely impossible Monkey puzzle. Once you figured out the sequence,it was NOT humanly possible to do it in the alloted time! (END SPOILER)I really don't know how anybody managed it. I admit that I may not be the quickest with the mouse,which is why I don't play games which require uber speed. But,the MYST games are puzzle games which should not require that. It was like finding a polar bear in the Bahamas. Suffice it to say,I could not get past the monkey puzzle. Was there a patch for that or something? If not,there should have been. I obviously can't comment on the remainder of the game,since I didn't get to finish it. It really annoys me. It's tantamount to being given half a book. Well,unless UBISOFT has done something to alleviate that problem(since Spring 2005);I wouldn't recommend this game unless you're VERY quick with a mouse. It's a shame,because I think that this would have been a good game. HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE MONKEY PUZZLE,I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS GAME 4 STARS IN BOTH CATEGORIES.

I turned my 6 year old son to the first Myst game and so him and I finished Myst, Riven, Exile on the Playstation.I'm NOT a big PC gamer fan for one reason:They require you to upgrade your machine just to play the game.This is the reason why I feel platform games are much better.When you purchase a game you know it's going to play on the PS2, XBox, whatever.PC games are not so forgiving!!

A very challenging game
This game for me was easy on the first levels but got harder as i went along. i think that it is a great{one of the best i ever played}because it takes you a while to get passed the whole thing, you just can't get by this game in 30 minutes.
Best game ever!
This game is truly the best mario game ever. Super mario bros. 3 was great and now a remake that is even better! The E-reader compatibility is cool, but it sucks how america didn't get all the cards such as floaty jump Luigi, boomarang, and difficult enemies. I took a point off fun for some parts being too frustrating. The graphics aren't that good, but I don't care because if I did I would buy the [...]box360 (Xbox [...]).

get it while its fresh!
well...This goes out to the previous reviewer...first off.there are numerous new animations..i mean..kobe shoots like..well kobe.....Big Z actually dont jump on his jump shot and numerous other stars have there own jump shot animation..something kinda tight..as for upgrades..well the roster is updated and the A.I. is much smarter..how is that not an update?..plus now you have full control on how your team plays; you now have that option to change in the option menu..and the post game is much better..more realistic..and the shot stick..WOW..perfection...and if you care about jersey numbers..its updated too...so Artest has number 93 and Kobe has 24...(a plus since in any of the 2k series you are not allowed to change numbers)..so dont listen to those fools who say buy 2k6 or switch to live 07...they have no idea about how a true simulation should be...but dont get me wrong Live is also a very good game but not as real in the simulation department like 2k7..so go buy this game....why pay 20 bucks for an old game such as 2k6, when you could add 10 more dollars to it and buy 2k7? why would you do that?..no disrespect to the previous reviewers but people need to think a little bit...

NBA2K7 is BETTER than NBA Live 07
This game is HOT!!!!I have never played the NBA2K versions before so playing this game has brought a lot of excitement to playing a basketball game.The game seems so realistic it is scary.The players play and move the way that they do in the real game.The graphics are fantastic and gameplay is a lot of fun.I bought NBA Live 07 and I wish I didn't.I could have saved a few dollars by just buying NBA2K7.In my opinion, it is the best basketball game out there.

unfortunately it's a stripped down version
they took out 24/7 mode!!! Now it's only available in the 360 version(which is twice the cost) I'm getting 2K6 instead. Save yourself some money & do the same. ... Read more
