4-0 out of 5 stars An Immense Improvement
The promising thing about this series is that each installment is significantly better than the last. Not only that, but the Soul Calibur franchise has made a big influence on other contemporary fighting-genre games. For one, Namco's choice of deciding to produce SCIII on PlayStation 2 alone (instead of having to design it similiarly for Xbox and Gamecube) allowed them to fully make use of the PS2's capabilities. The first obvious change is the graphics; Soul Calibur II's graphics almost look childish in comparison to the more detailed and realistic style of SCIII. As in most fighting games, the main Story mode allows you to choose a character and fight various battles until you come to the final boss. However, the difference with this game is that (before each fight) you are given a synopsis of your character's journey thus far and why you have to fight your next opponent. This is a big change from a lot of fighting games, where you usually just take on one opponent after another, with no real explanation as to why you'd even be fighting them in the first place. Not only is the storyline aspect heightened, but you are also given different paths to take after battles; your choices will affect who you'll have to fight next. There are 25+ characters to choose from and each one has their own unique story.

this game is just loads of fun espcially in a tournament scenario with a bunch of friends, and has a great single player mode overall a really fun game

4-0 out of 5 stars Not just kicks
When I first saw this game, I thought it was the same thing as Tekken and Mortal Combat. It does have this mode (versus mode) but it also has other things as well. My two boys enjoy the fact that they can create and arm characters. You choose what type of character you want to create, be it a male or female character, and then add all the attire (armor, helmets, weapons, etc.) You can even choose the voice, the hair color and the eye colors for the character, and the colors of their attire, which my sons have found fun to do. Aside from that, there is a mode where you have different quests, and they can send their newly created character on that quest, to conquer the enemy strongholds. For a teenage audience, who like the "fights" games, this I have found to be more interesting than others I've seen. ... Read more

This game is a blast- no way around it.But Steam, Valve's annoying memory hog run in the tray adware copyright protection content delivery applicationis a constant source of screaming fits.Every time I sit down and I just want to play for 30 minutes or something before work or school, Steam throws an error and refuses to let me into the game, even going so far as to tell me that I do not own the game, or its "unavailable."
1-0 out of 5 stars Excellent game, spoiled by the most intrusive piracy protection ever!
I endorse all the other reviewers postive comments about this game.As 1st person shooters go, it's about as good as they get.But I felt I had to post a warning for anyone who, like me, had no idea about this 'Steam' anti-piracy thing.
5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best ever.

5-0 out of 5 stars super mario 4
very fast and informative, this was one of my favorites when it was on the old original nintendo now I can enjoy it again on game boy advance

5-0 out of 5 stars A very challenging game
This game for me was easy on the first levels but got harder as i went along. i think that it is a great{one of the best i ever played}because it takes you a while to get passed the whole thing, you just can't get by this game in 30 minutes.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever!
This game is truly the best mario game ever. Super mario bros. 3 was great and now a remake that is even better! The E-reader compatibility is cool, but it sucks how america didn't get all the cards such as floaty jump Luigi, boomarang, and difficult enemies. I took a point off fun for some parts being too frustrating. The graphics aren't that good, but I don't care because if I did I would buy the [...]box360 (Xbox [...]).

5-0 out of 5 stars get it while its fresh!
well...This goes out to the previous reviewer...first off.there are numerous new animations..i mean..kobe shoots like..well kobe.....Big Z actually dont jump on his jump shot and numerous other stars have there own jump shot animation..something kinda tight..as for upgrades..well the roster is updated and the A.I. is much smarter..how is that not an update?..plus now you have full control on how your team plays; you now have that option to change in the option menu..and the post game is much better..more realistic..and the shot stick..WOW..perfection...and if you care about jersey numbers..its updated too...so Artest has number 93 and Kobe has 24...(a plus since in any of the 2k series you are not allowed to change numbers)..so dont listen to those fools who say buy 2k6 or switch to live 07...they have no idea about how a true simulation should be...but dont get me wrong Live is also a very good game but not as real in the simulation department like 2k7..so go buy this game....why pay 20 bucks for an old game such as 2k6, when you could add 10 more dollars to it and buy 2k7? why would you do that?..no disrespect to the previous reviewers but people need to think a little bit...

5-0 out of 5 stars NBA2K7 is BETTER than NBA Live 07
This game is HOT!!!!I have never played the NBA2K versions before so playing this game has brought a lot of excitement to playing a basketball game. The game seems so realistic it is scary. The players play and move the way that they do in the real game. The graphics are fantastic and gameplay is a lot of fun.I bought NBA Live 07 and I wish I didn't.I could have saved a few dollars by just buying NBA2K7.In my opinion, it is the best basketball game out there.

1-0 out of 5 stars unfortunately it's a stripped down version
they took out 24/7 mode!!! Now it's only available in the 360 version(which is twice the cost) I'm getting 2K6 instead. Save yourself some money & do the same. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars PS2 Network Adaptor
It works very well, and the only problem I've had with it was signing up. After that, everything works great.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun....for about an hour
I received a PS2 Network Adapter for Christmas in 2002.It was easy to set up, and soon I was playing Madden online!Shortly after my first game, my daughter tripped over my controller cord and the PS2 slid about halfway off the shelf. No biggie, right?Wrong. The PS2 wouldn't read the Network Adapter after that.I tried putting it into a friend's PS2 and it worked fine.I would basically have to pay to get the problem resolved with this PS2, or buy another.I voted NO on both options.Upon looking into this situation online, I noticed that other people were having the same problem with minor drops and bumps to the PS2.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nintendogs
First off, I've only watched my sister play, so I'm not that accurate.
5-0 out of 5 stars Nintendogs: The Best Game {A kid's review}
This game was awesome. Although I've only had it for a little over a month, I have 4 dogs and over 30000 trainer points.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
When I first heard of this game, I basically ignored it. Then, when I was visiting Gamestop one day, I decided to buy it. I was instantly amazed by the unique battle system, the bright and cheerful backdrops, (except for Twilight Town, that is) and the challenging and profound gameplay.
5-0 out of 5 stars A worthwhile game for all that have a game cube
Paper Mario: The thousand year door is an awesome game! One time I played it for 4 hours straight, but your probubly wondering about the game, not me. Well, first of all, I would say this is a very creative game for everyone. The music and replay value arent to good, but it is definantly made up by the awesome gameplay, graphics, characters, and story. It made me laugh a few times and it was GREAT FUN when you first play it all the way through. The way it does battling is similar to pokemon, but a bit more complicated, but it is really fun. I realy like the punies and TEC the computer and yoshie. The bad guys are the X-nauts and I beat the crud out of them for what they did to TEC. As always, I highly recomend this game to anyone with a gamecube for someone who wants a pretty long and a bit of a challenging game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Paper Mario, another great

5-0 out of 5 stars ...#1 title in 2006
great game. fast paced, hours of fun for my kids, no violence. Just all around great!way better than diner dash and crazy burger!

5-0 out of 5 stars Let em eat cake
I purchased this game after trying it on Yahoo games. This is the most fun I have had with a PC game.Jill must be on her toes if she wishes to save her grandparents bakery. She will be expected to bake various shapes of cake with different colored icings. As the game progresses, she will be able to purchase faster ovens, icing stations that ice cakes quicker, decorative toppers to put on the cakes, a television to entertain and calm the demanding customers, etc.The clients are a wide range of fun characters, old women, kids, college students, businessmen,Uncle Sam, Cupid, vampires, Easter bunnies and yes, even Santa joins the fun.The game gets progressively harder and the action gets more frantic.Don't forget to upgrade Jills shoes, she's gonna have to fly to keep up with the demands. This game is addictive and fun for all ages.My only complaint is I wish there was a never ending option where you can just make cakes, like Diner Dash has.Give this game a try, it's well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
If you love diner dash you will love this game to...Awesome challanges...Purchase this here for a fraction of the cost.I loved my seller she was fast and gave me the info fast. ... Read more
