2-0 out of 5 stars It;s nice, but...
Downloading objects from fan sites can be hit or miss -- I have had many collections I've downloaded work incorrectly or not work at all in the next expansion pack, and items I really liked were suddenly unavailable. So, I was looking forward to a "Stuff" pack from Maxis.
1-0 out of 5 stars Where's the glamour?
This pack offered very little of anything. The decor (very little of it) is uninspired. I was hoping to get some good artwork at least.I know a lot of people don't like to download from fan sites but don't waste your money on this junk.Believe me fansites have much better and more creative stuff for your sims and most of it is free, and none of it costas much as this glamour life stuff pack did. This is the first and last stuff pack that I will ever buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars RIp Off!
If I could give it negative 3 stars I would. This is just EA being Greedy. They could have offered it for free on the website like they did with the stuff before or they could have included it with the next expansion pack. You're better off going to one the fan site that offers better stuff to download for free. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars An Inverse Relationship Between Fun and Blood Pressure
Trauma Center: Under the Knife is a novel idea for the Nintendo DS. It's creative and it can be fun at times, but its got major issues bogging it down. The most previously mentioned of which are its sometimes doggy controlls and extreme difficulty. First of all, the difficulty curve is all over the place. This game bounces between having operations that are simple enough to get on the first time and then will switch to missions that are on the "this is impossible" difficulty level. Some of these super hard operations almost seem like they want you to fail. I base this on the fact that on operations I struggled many times to get through I would get a high grade at the end of the mission. I didn't perform it skillfully at all, but it seem like the game knows that keeping the patient alive is a monumental task in and of itself. Adding to this is the dogy controls for some of the tools. The Magnifying Glass is a pain to use. Not only must you draw the circle precisely, but quickly too. Sewing closed wounds is also hard. Sometimes the game will register it and sometimes it won't. As the patients life meter drops quickly when you have a bleeding wound, this can be the difference between success and failure on some missions.
3-0 out of 5 stars This Game Is Frustrating
I love the idea behind this game and it's pretty impressively exectuted. I had three gripes though: 1) It's so fast paced that I found it really difficult to progress past the third procedure. 2)I couldn't get the magnify and reduce (with quick little circles) to work. This caused me great frustration. 3)There's no way to skip through the seemingly endless pages of character dialogue if you have to repeat a procedure a couple of times.
3-0 out of 5 stars kind of hard, but fun
I bought this game because i thought it would be fun to play along with the story like in the sims2 for ds. The beginning went well, the operations are fun. The story drags a little and goes too slow, i actually skipped part of the story and just did the operations. The operations get your heart pumping and are somewhat stressful. i am stuck on the 6th one. i have been trying to complete it for a few weeks now, but continuously fail. Unfortunetly you cannot go any further until you complete them in order. i dont know if i will be able to play this game any further. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Building a better system from the ground up sometimes involves digging into even the most mundane components. Take memory cards, for instance. To provide larger storage capacity and faster access rates--PlayStation2 cards transfer data 200 times faster than cards for the original PlayStation--PlayStation2 developers have upgraded the technology for the new memory card. The 8 MB Memory Card uses Flash Memory, the storage technology that's revolutionizing handheld computers, digital cameras, and MP3 players. In contrast, the 128 KB memory cards that were designed for the original PlayStation use memory blocks. While large files can spill over several blocks, you can't store more than one file per block in that design, no matter how small the file. The 8 MB Memory Card allieviates that problem by organizing and storing files much more like a computer hard disk. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars needs to be cheaper
I can't believe someone would try selling a memory card for more than 25 dollars. You are being ripped off if you have to pay more than 10 dollars for one, but unfortunately, if you live in the country like me, finding a store nearby selling Playstation 2 memory cards would probably be nearly impossible. So you're forced to shop for one online.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best PS2 Memory Card
This is the best memory card you can get for the PS2.Only get this one or the Sony PlayStation 2 2PK Memory Cards.Rumors spread that non-Sony memory cards can damage your PS2 and lose saves on you memory cards.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best PS2 memory card- period
There are a lot of different memory cards on the market for the PS2,but the official Sony 8mb memory card is by far the best card for your system.Unlike other memory cards available, this baby will not fail you. That means you can depend on it at all times. So to make a long story short,do yourself a favor and buy this ever-reliable memory card. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game; Great Response
EA has created a great response to last years utter failure of a 360 game with the same name. They have listened to the letters I'm sure they recieved along with the poor reviews it was given by IGN and Gamespot. The introduction of the PGA Tour Game Mode along with the Driving Range have been amazing. The amount of work you have to do with your golfer to make progress is immense. The new aiming zone is a far better improvement over the arrows of the past and putting still seems to pose a tremendous challenge. Overall, this years chapter in the Tiger Woods Series is a great shot.

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than 06.Solid.
Well EA has improved on their xbox 360 title over last year. The content is greatly increased in the form of more courses and more items available in the proshop.Game play is great.I must admit the change to the big ring for aiming was a bit different. My new character lacks consistency. One shot may be okay but the next one is way off which let's face it is more like golf.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great Game Single Player, Multiplayer is AWFUL
I agree with most everything folks have said about this game -- you can only play Allied in campaign game and not having an axis option is disappointing. Once you play campaign game, the skirmish mode is fun to but you can easily beat the AI.
3-0 out of 5 stars Language - gratuitous and no turn off option; historical excuse for language is hypocritical
This game is really outstanding for what it is - and really cool for WWII game fans - but in my opinion the language is offensive and gratuitous. To defend the language with piety saying "That's historically accurate!" is hypocritical. The decision to make the language prominent was a calculated one all about money.A company would never institute a feature that would cost their company profits in order to improve historicity.War does not follow the rules of a conventional real time strategy game anyway - which this game basically is.The makers of COH made this game follow conventional real-time-strategy rules - and not historic reality - because they thought it would sell better. So defending the language because its historically accurate is hypocrical. If they wanted to make a historically accurate game, the language is the least of the designers concerns.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simply the Best
I have been a long time RTS gamer, brought up on Starcraft and C&C.This game deserves to be compared to those great games! It is the best RTS and best computer game overall that I have played in the past couple of years.Once you sit down and play, you can' help but get that "just one more mission" feeling.

2-0 out of 5 stars Best if you Borrowed/Rented
I walk in the store and i had a choice between two DS games: Mario vs. DK 2, or Mario B-Ball 3on3, and frankly, i think i made the wrong choice. dont get me wrong, all my favorite nintendo characters are here and dunking like pros. but the controls get annoying real quick and the 'collecting coins' concept kills the game even quicker. i tried, and i mean TRIED to like this game and play a game or two while i was in the b-room doin a number two. but it actually helped me get out quicker. the graphics push the DS further than ever before and thats a bout it. do yourself a favor, wait at least til this becomes a best seller for the price drop. becuase for $10 more i would've just gottin NBA2k7 or something.
3-0 out of 5 stars Lovely design, but severely lacking in other elements
Mario has had his fair share of excellent sports-knock-off games, from Mario Kart to Mario Golf. However, there is always a first time for everything, and while this not exactly being a first time, it is a new low.
5-0 out of 5 stars I'VE HEARD ENOUGH!!!
(I'm not under thirteen.I just don't have an account on AMAZON.)I've never seen such awsome graphics on The DS,heard such awsome sound, or played such a dope/sweet/kick@$$game.

5-0 out of 5 stars The FINAL Final Fantasy for the PSone
This is probably one of my least favorite FF games on the PSone. There are some good things and some bad things about this game. first the bad: 1. Squaresoft (Now Square Enix, Goddammit!) was trying to get to the old roots of the SNES games. To me anyway, it doesn't look entirely like those games. 2. Some of the characters are the worst in the FF games' history (Quina, Eiko, and Garnet. I am not sexist, it's just that their abilities suck and their type of combat is terrible). the other characters are good, not great, but decent. 3. I don't care too much for the character models (the deformation and Final Fantasy 8 graphics mix). okay for the good parts of the game: 1. The Cinemas!!! they look really good for a PSone game, most of the games cinemas on the PSone don't look that great in this era of gaming and even some during that era. 2. Ending!! I am not saying anymore. 3. The battle system. it's not quite FF8 and not quite FF7 but it's in between and has the Trance system thingy. After this game, I sadly am seeing the series not being as good as it once was (I like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals and can't wait for the remake of FF3 for the DS), Final Fantasy 10 isn't that legendary, FF 11, which I never did and never will play (because of fees, reminds me too much like Phantasy Star Online (I like that game though), and not much of a single player expericence with no storyline), and FF 12 just because it will have the FF11 battle engine, looks like FFCC and FF10 mixed together, and I just seem not to care that much about the newer FF games anymore. So I would recommend any FF game on the PSone (Including the PSone ports of the SNES games and Origins) because they are so great and even if the games don't have the best graphics in the world, it's gameplay and storylines that count.

4-0 out of 5 stars This Game Rocks!!!!!
This is the first time that I have owned a Madden football game. I can't compare it to the other games, but this one rocks! I love the highlight stick and hit stick.
5-0 out of 5 stars Keeps getting better.
As we near the end of the life span of the last generation of consoles, key franchises that have appeared year after year begin to wrap up their yearly development cycle. Crazy as it may sound, Madden NFL 07 could be one of the last times we see Madden on the Xbox, PlayStation 2, or the GameCube. With that in mind, it's not altogether surprising that Madden 07 doesn't really push the envelope terribly far. The game includes a few new control features and some mode tweaks (nearly all of which are also available in the Xbox 360 version of this year's game), but for the most part, it feels like the result of a series pushed as far as it can possibly go on a given platform, and you definitely get the sense that Madden on current-generation consoles is beginning to wind down. However, for at least this last year, the veteran player outraces the up-and-comer in the Xbox 360 version, and there are certainly enough compelling reasons to check this year's game out on the older consoles.
4-0 out of 5 stars It's Madden football, nothing more
There's a lot of different opinions of Madden NFL 07 swirling around so I figured I get in on it as well. For my money, to just have a new football game is worth it. Seeing as how Madden is now the only football game available from year to year, if you don't like Madden's brand of video games then I feel so sorry for you. However, I think this is a great installment. By no means is this the best released but there's no doubt that it's a lot of fun.

3-0 out of 5 stars not quite what I expected
The advertising for this collection led me to believe I would be getting these 7 games in their original formats... but I was disappointed to find not the original version of KQ1, but the SCI version released in 1990.KQ6 has voice commentary instead of text, but you can switch back to text if you like--I haven't found any such option for KQ5, so it looks like you're stuck with the voice (and no supplemental text, either, so it gets annoying fast).I haven't had a look at KQ4 yet but everything else seems to be the same.I'll be glad to play these games without having to wrestle with our old Tandy, but I wish they didn't get messed with.Especially disappointed with there being no text option for KQ5.

2-0 out of 5 stars A must for KQ fans, but very disappointing quality
I've been counting down until I could get this release and couldn't wait to play all these great games again. When I got it and started playing, it was fun but the disappointment kept mounting.Little things like no manuals (you have open a file and/or print them yourself... not a big deal in itself, but come on Vivendi, quit being so cheap) and no case for the CDs (you just get twopaper sleeves) make the package look incredibly cheap and low quality.Yes, these are computer games from the 80s and early 90s, but this package could have been put together better.
1-0 out of 5 stars Lies
My gripe is about KQ6.One customer said that there were no differences between the cd and disk versions. This information is false. At the time of its origional release, I was fortunate to have a high end computer (for its time) that was able to run the Windows CD version of KQ6 which had much better graphics and Character Illustrations. I was beyond upset when I found out that this was nothing but the DOS version. I bought this to play the windows version that to my knowlage does not work in any way on any OS past win95 (maybe 98). Those who have played and have been waiting to play the Windows CD version will be very upset. ... Read more

Having found FS2002 to be quite a novelty despite its rather poor landscapes I bought FS2004 for my son. I have found some of the graphics improved on, runways, airport installations, planes ... but others just as horrible as previously.
4-0 out of 5 stars Need a joystick
I am thoroughly enjoying Flight Simulator 2004 now that I have a joystick (LogitechExtreme 3D Pro). The simulator ran poorly on my laptop from the keyboard (no numbers pad, sluggish and uneven response). Performance was better but still disappointing using the full keyboard of my desktop PC. In spite of the claim to be keyboard friendly, the flying lessons are far better suited for use of the joystick.
3-0 out of 5 stars good graphics limited options
I was somewhat disappointed after having used Flight Sim 2000 and then upgrading to 2004.The graphics are better and the upgrades are good but the options for aircraft are too limited for what I expected.Mooney Bravo is the only light single retract. There are lots of speicality and unique aircraft but just too few "general aviation" types.

4-0 out of 5 stars A solid game
For anyone who's never played the original star wars lego game - it's a tongue-in-cheek take on the star wars franchise. The characters never have spoken dialogue, and the re-created cut-scenes are "modified" to be a little more funny (like R2-D2 falling off the back of Luke's land speeder).
    4-0 out of 5 stars A well-built LEGO masterpiece
I stopped questioning why LEGO with Star Wars was a great combination when I started to like peanut butter with pickles and pizza with milk. Traveler's Tales and LucasArts put together a wildly popular adventure with the original LEGO Star Wars game, which took Episodes I, II, and III and mixed wacky LEGO-inspired humor with accessible gameplay. For the most part, I avoided the original game, labeling it as a "kiddy game." With LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, I realize my mistake and will be picking up the original as soon as possible-LEGO and Star Wars go together like cake with icing, pizza with cheese, brownies with nuts...well, unless you're allergic to nuts.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for kids - all of us that never grew up
The original Lego Star Wars was a great little lighthearted romp of a game: an amusing way to play out the three most recent Star Wars films in virtual form. The Lego and Star Wars combo proved to also be a terrific formula for the game space, generating an experience in Lego Star Wars that was oftentimes even more entertaining than the source material it was based on. Like any good sequel, Lego Star Wars II improves on the original in almost every way. But most importantly, it's about the good episodes now. For that reason alone, Lego Star Wars II is one of the most enjoyable games of this fall. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Animal Crossing
I don't even HAVE the game and I love it. My sister has a DS and the game, and sometimes she'll let me play without me having to beg. It's really fun! Everything has already been said, but there is one tiny thing. I name my character after me, but I find it hard to believe that I'l actually ever have to pay my mortage to a racoon or deliver a rug to a rhino. It takes away the realisticness of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Got The Whole World In My Hands!
Ok, maybe not the whole world, but the whole Animal Crossing world.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing
This game is Amazing. Its a great way to relax and simply have fun. I know everyone has put "You can fish, catch bugs and other things", but its more then that. Before long you find yourself wishing the time away untill Nook's store opens, to find a new item.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect way to kill time on long and short trips
I'm a man in my late 30s who used to enjoy video games, but between work, going back to school, and children, I just don't have time for gaming any more.So it's been ~5 years since I tried any gaming system, much less a handheld (which I've always viewed as worthless from a gaming perspective).Recently, I had a long business trip, and friends recommended the Nintendo DS Lite and Advanced Wars:Dual Strike.I bought both on their recommendation and I can honestly say it is a truly fantastic experience. It made the trip fly by, I wasn't even interested in the movie or reading. It even worked great to defuse my frustration about having to wait for an hour in a slow-moving security line.In this review, I'll speak about the game, and will write a separate review for the system. 5-0 out of 5 stars Rock On!
The game is a fighting game where you get to decide where to go and what to do. It is a lot of fun, with pretty good graphics. My favorite thing is that it has both easy and hard levels. It keeps my interest.

5-0 out of 5 stars Advance Wars: Dual Strike
I really enjoyed this game because I've played the second version and liked it. I also liked it because it's a great overall DS game. ... Read more
