2-0 out of 5 stars A Mild Walk Through the 100 Acre Woods
If you're into sitting with your young one when he plays this game, you'll both enjoy it.There's lots to read; the characters don't speak, so if your child hasn't mastered reading, he won't really know the rules of the games he plays.2-0 out of 5 stars Too boring for my 7 year old!
I bought this game and a GameBoy system for my 7 year old daughter for her birthdaysince she really likes Winnie the Pooh. Unfortunately, she only played it a couple times, then begged me for a new game. Since then, she hasn't touched it and sticks to her Mario and Pokemon games. If you have a little one that you can sit with, read the text to and play together, then the game isn't bad. By the time your child can read well enough to play alone, though, he'd be bored. Buy this game only for littler gamers and only if you intend to play with them!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not suitable for younger kids
We bought this for our 4 yr old. He can hardly understand what to do with the amount of reading instructions involved. Even our 6 yr old was confused at times with the amount of reading involved. Both kids lost interest very quickly. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Review
I'm a Harry Potter fan and the day I bought this game, I played it, and I played it and I did it all day long, but one day, I think in the Valet Parking, someone stole it with my Gameboy Advance SP. Until this very day, I was looking for it and trying to get another one, but now I found it.
5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!! 5 STARS!!!!
My sister and I really love this game!!!! We got it going on a trip years ago (before the GBA) And we still love, and play it. We are both level 99, and have all the spells! It is easy to understand and also challenging. We DEFINATELY recommend it to everyone!! And if you have an SP, it will help, the game is kinda dark, but if you don't, it is ok!

4-0 out of 5 stars TOO MANY GLITCHES!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth it, espicially for how big the game is...
This game is huge and I'm not even kidding. In this game you play as Wario through exactly 51 stages, each of whom you have to find the minigame room which when you beat you get a treasure. Also at the end of each stage you have to play another mini game in which if you win you'll get one of 50 pieces of a map. I know you unlock (spoiler the difficultest stage in the game if you find all 50). Specific stages has two exits, each one leads ya to a different area. Anyways I played this over and over because I found this game to be entertaining because it was so fun and big. I quite often found myself forgeting where the treasure in specific stages were at, yea I'm that bad. But usually I end with everything. I believe this game has a 50 hour game time, it all depends on how good you are at platformer games. It's definitly worth it just for the size of the game overall so go ahead and buy it :) probably the best choice you'll make overall if you don't have this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally cool!!!!!
I recommend this game for people who like adventure's! Wario5-0 out of 5 stars This is the best!
This is the BEST game I have ever played. The REAL final chapter is awsome! You have to beat one of the game`s many Giant Spearmen (Which are actually GIANT Gooms)without touching the floor! And there are SIX different final bosses, and after you beat the game you get to play a mini game Flagman D.D. (which is just like Simon). I would recomend this game to EVERYONE! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Opinions, Opinions.
This game is a pretty good one for those who are into the whole monsters collecting, training, and battling scenario. Highly recommended. Also, check out this title: Revelations:The Demon Slayer for the same reasons as of the above.

4-0 out of 5 stars Two very different game for one price
Any game that involves collecting monsters is going to draw comparisons to the all-holy Pokemon. It's unavoidable. So let's dismiss the assumption that Enix's Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 is a Pokemon clone. It is not. If anything, it's a merging of Pokemon and Monster Rancher. If you want to collect every monster imaginable, you're gonna need to put some of your fave beasts out to stud and breed whole new species. Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 is actually two games in one. The first half of the game is a very classical Japanese RPG. The kingdom's in trouble and it's up to you, the unsuspecting hero, to save the day. The second half is all about finding new monsters, building them up, breeding them, and repeating the process to infinity with the hopes of finding every last species. There are two separate games you can buy, Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi's Journey or Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Tara's Adventure. Both titles are nearly identical. The same quest, the same results. But each title has unique monsters and magic keys. To reach all of the many lands of Dragon Warrior Monsters 2, you'll have to breed monsters and swap keys with a buddy playing the other game. Cobi and Tara are friendly siblings whose family has just opened a monster ranch on the tiny island of GreatLog. Their peaceful lives are soon disrupted when the irresponsible Prince Kameha and his monster sidekick, Warubou, accidentally destroy the GreatLog's navel plug (yes, you read that right). As often happens when an island's navel plug is destroyed, GreatLog begins to sink. Warubou acts as a temporary plug, but it is up to you as either Cobi or Tara to journey to five different worlds in search of a replacement plug. From here the RPG is pretty standard. Travel around fighting random monsters and talking to various people in the town. All this leads you to a Boss encounter where you finally retrieve the potential plug replacement. You can only take three monsters with you on each journey, the rest are left at your father's ranch. Choose wisely. Enix has done a nice job balancing this game. Monsters become increasingly difficult to defeat as you progress through the game, but never so much that it gets frustrating. Random monster encounters are never so common that they become annoying. On average, you'll hit one encounter on each screen. Battles aren't yours to fight, but are left for your monsters. The wilder a monster is, the less likely they are to follow orders in combat. Give them love (and boatloads of food) and they will become more obedient. Each monster is capable of learning skills that are of great help come combat time. All of the bosses are tough, but none are impossible to beat. The bulk of the game comes after the RPG is finished. Once the credits roll, you're free to search for magic keys that will unlock a myriad of worlds to explore, monsters to nab, and items to find. Breeding is the key to finishing both the RPG and finding all of the available monsters. Each monster will be either male or female. Choose a mom and a dad who are both 10th level or above and take them to Professor Monster at the Starry Shrine. Now it's time to dim the lights, put on some soothing Barry White, and let nature take its course. Apparently, Enix isn't too hot on parental values because before your newborn can hatch, mom and dad split, never to be seen again. And I mean never. Left behind is their powerful and unique offspring. With the link cable you can hook up with friends and battle your monsters, swap keys and monsters, or even breed two monsters together. The monsters that come from breeding with your buddy's crew are some of the best you can get. Breeding new creatures, exploring the many new worlds of Dragon Warrior Monsters 2, and dealing some smack-down to your friends adds a lot of depth to an already solid RPG. Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 is a step up from the original thanks to more monsters and the need to link up with a friend in order to truly finish the game. The RPG takes anywhere from 8-12 hours, but it's the monster ranching that makes the game a winner. It would have been nice if Cobi and Tara had two separate RPG's, but like the Stones said, you can't always get what you want. If you like Monster Rancher, this is the game for you. No, it's not as good or as addictive as Pokemon, but it is a great game nonetheless.

This is a great game with many monsters and secrets and FUN! It is the better version of Pokemon. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Where's Zero?
It's been a very long time since I played this game, so I may leave some stuff out. I remember when I played this game for the first time, there was only one game that I ALWAYS wanted to play, but I never found it, it was metal slug but I didn't know it was called metal slug, so I looked for other games that reminded me of it, then I found Megaman xtreme, so i got it and played it, but I could not believe how hard it was. " why is this so hard?" i asked myself, especially on one of the last levels,( I think there called Sigma stages or something)there was this one where you have to percisely conntrol a flying lift of some sort by jumping exactly at the right time or you would restart that area. it took me about..... probably a month to figure it out, then, whenI was up with the last boss( I think that was Sigma) it was incredibly difficult, but somehow I beat him using all the muscle in my hands(The game boy color was somewhat, uncomfortable) I even unlocked the hard mode, which I was very proud of because megaman xtreme was the hardest game I played back then(and I heard metal slug X was a very hard game). I have great memories with this game, including my first most difficult game I "partly" compleded.plus the longest review for a game I made.I would definetly not recommend this game to someone because of all the frusration I took.Unless your were as unchallenged as I was in video games.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is great no matter what anyone else says
This game I had a long time ago and I dont remember much about it but I do remember how much I lovedit. This games graphics werent the best but dont blame it its for gameboy color for crying out loud.People might complain about a few flaws here and there but its great.

5-0 out of 5 stars 6 stars.....
This game is amazing! It is a GBC port of 2 classic SNES games. It's amazing how you can put this all from the Super NES onto a Game boy color*. When you first play the game, there are four bosses: Chill penguin, Storm eagle, Flame stag, and Spark mandrill. When you beat these Bosses + 4 SIGMA levels, you unlock Hard mode.It won't be easy. (Don't beleive the game, Hard mode is actually EASIER than Normal mode.) In hard mode, you fight these guys: Wheel gator, Armored armadillo, Morph moth, Magna centipede. Oh, and watch out for zain and geemel, THEY'RE BIG TROUBLE without all 4 armor upgrades. Also, there's an attack of every color: Shotgun Ice[Light blue], Storm Tornado[Lavender], Speed burner[Red], Electric Spark[Yellow], Spin Wheel[Green], Rolling Shield[Orange], Silk Shot[Gray], and Magnet Mine[Blue].Read more

THIS GAME IS GREAT!A total keeper I have 15 gameboy games and I love this one the most.It is durable, and great for all ages! The fact that it is a cartoon show too makes it even more attractive! If you get hooked[which you will, I know I did!]you should watch the show on the cartoon network channel#65, on at 11:00 and 1:30.The TV show rarely uses words but you will get hooked on both of them.my suggestion is during the commercials play the gameboy version of it!Funerific!Definatly worth the money!

3-0 out of 5 stars Will not run on Winsows XP, 95 or 98 only
I bought this game not knowing about this but --- This game does not run on Windows XP.After some research, I found this web page: http://support2.vugames.com/kidsgames/answer.aspx?ID=3768
3-0 out of 5 stars good for younger players
"Barbie Ocean Discovery" is a game about Barbie having to find a secret underwater treasure. To do this she needs to overcome a challenge like a maze or a picture puzzle. When she finishes a challenge she gets a piece of a map that will lead her to the secret treasure, or a gem that will serve as one of the keys that will help her open the treasure. For a girl my age this role-playing game was pretty boring with very little difficulty and one that I finished in about half an hour, but I think a 5- or 6-year old little girl might enjoy this more.

Something mysterious is going on at the reploid research island. The reploids have ceased functioning, their data strangely erased. The investigation team encounters "irregular" reploids infected with a strange new DNA chip. Known as DNA Soul, it replaces useful data with a devastating Sigma virus and places all reploids in imminent danger. Now it's up to Mega Man X and his comrade Zero to get to the damaged island and find out who is behind the DNA Soul virus. Game features include the ability to change between Mega Man X and Zero at any time and the chance to collect rare DNA Junk along the way to build new weapons, bosses, or even a new stage. There are four modes of play: X mode, Zero mode, Continue, and Extreme. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars BAD GAME
This game is a combanation of X1 2 and 3. its pretty fun but way to easy. with using DNA souls to buy upgrades make your charecter way to strong.boss stratgies suck and this is easyer then X5 that pretty sad. still it has the same classic music and graphics. also there a fully playable zero for all you zero lovers out there. you cant duck but thats not a down side. I thick they shoud make Xtreme 3 maybe that would be better. BUT DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AN EASY GAME LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars SUPER GAME BOY COLOR GAME
This is one of the best game boy color games I have gotten. The graphics are awsome the game play is awsome. There are tons of levels to keep your attention for hours. This game has memory so you can save your game and come back. You can play two different modes both as X or his counterpart Zero. X has all the cool guns and you can keep bulding different armor and all. Zero just has a sword. So I have not played Zero much. I think there is one level you need to play Zero to win, though. For me, I am 32, this game is very difficult. I have had the game for a couple of months and have only gotten to the 2nd level. My son beat the game withough any problem though.

5-0 out of 5 stars The last good GBC game
Too many idiots have complained about this game (elsewhere), saying that it sucks and then giving "they should've made it for Game Boy Advance" as their reason. That's not a reason, it's an excuse. This is a great game, and if you'd rather play it on a GBA than a GBC, be my guest.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Game, Too Easy!!!!!!
This game was a very big disappointment. It's not that it wasn't fun.It was fun.The problem is that it was too easy.I finished the whole game in four hours. It has a beginning, a middle and an end.The next time you play, it's exactly the same. The stuff is all hidden in the same places and the exact things happen in the exact way. There is only one level, it doesn't get harder each time you play. Take my advice and don't buy this game!Watch a Spongebob cartoon instead.

1-0 out of 5 stars A Disgrace to Harry Potter Games
I'm sorry but I really do not like this game. I got it hoping it would be even a little like its gamecube counterpart, but it wasn't. It was extremley confusing and I still have no clue how to do the spell things, even now. I have gotten stuck at Aragog and have no freaking idea how to get past him. And what are those blue rock things????? Everytime I got near one I'd have to fight an elf or something, which lowered my energy so I couldn't beat bosses. This game is so hard and so stupid I feel it's a disgrace to the other Harry Potter games, which were all very good. If you have another system, get this game for it, but if not, consider something else. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good GBC fare
The fourth installment of the long running Alone in the Dark series makes it's GameBoy Color debut, and the results are surprising. For being an 8-bit GBC game, the graphics are awesome, even reminiscent of Konami's GBC version of Metal Gear Solid.Besides the great graphics and sound, the only glaring problem with the game is that it is incredibly easy to get lost in the game and the enemies and puzzles are taxing. Not to mention the game has virtually no replay value once you beat it, no matter how much of a survival horror fan you are.Despite that though, as far as the genre goes on the GBC, there is this game and Resident Evil Gaiden, and Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is noticibly superior. All in all, if your still playing your GameBoy Color, this game is definitely worth checking out, and from the looks of things it's most certainly better than the upcoming movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars Alone in the Dark New Nightmare for GBC Great game
Alone in the Dark The New Nightmare is based on successful, horror games by Infrogrames (which has been making games over 15 yrs). 4-0 out of 5 stars Alone in the Dark review
Alone in the Dark has awesome graphics(pre-rendered backgrounds) but the main character Edward could look better. He is comprised of only three colors, and sticks out from the background like a sore thumb, but enough about Edward. The game has awesome color rich environments, although the game lacks in sounds and music the gameplay and graphics make up for it. One other bad thing about this game would be the battle sequences, you cannot aim worth a darn and sometimes end up wasting alot of ammo, but... This GBC game overall is a awesome game, and I would recommend it to those who like survival horror. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very unique Gameboy title!
Wow, what a refreshing Gameboy title. This is unlike anything out there. I wish there were even more games like this one. To sum it all up, you're in control of the "gang" and you're out to solve a mystery. The mystery of the missing jewels to be precise. Each character is off exploring a different part of the mansion and you can switch characters at any point during the game. So you can control Freddy, Daphne, Velma or Scooby + Shag. As you explore the mansion you'll acquire useful items and clues to help you in your quest to solve the mystery. Theres a fair amount of humor in the game and some clever thinking will help you make use of the items you find. This is not your typical run, jump and shoot game, this is a true old-school adventure game with a great little plot. Its really nice to see something like this available for the Gameboy, I think older audiences will really appreciate it. The graphics and sound and great too considering this is a Gameboy game. Scooby fans and Adventure fans will most certainly want to check this title out! Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

1-0 out of 5 stars frustrating for little kids
My son wanted this because he is a big Scooby Doo fan, however, he was very disappointed with the game. The problem is that you have to be able to read and understand the clues given in order to play the game.He just started kindergarten and can not read yet. This may be a great game - I'm not sure. But if your child can not read then I would not recommend this game.

If you are a Scooby Doo fan, then you need to add this to your collection. It is a very fun game for the Gameboy system. Not too difficult to the point of frustration. To me, a game should be fun and challenging, not frustrating like some games, and this game will challenge you without the frustration. If you are looking for a nice game for a child, young adult, or yourself then I would recommend this for your Gameboy. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Game For GameBoy Color.
I got this game for Christmas and I love it. It has Six different games each with a different charater. THe whole idea is to help the thornberry's win is awards and you have to help them by beating all six games. ANd if they dont win you can do it the next year, which is just a different skill level. You acn save your game if you dont have time to finish it. Buy this game it is the best!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Ok for younger kids
I bought this game for my 5 year old as a Christmas present.By New Years, he had it completed. It's a little on the easy side. Now he doesn't play it very much because he has already figured it out. There are some games which took him months to even get through them half way (like Rugrats or Toy Story 2).The only exiting level is where you have to photograph the animals then find the "passageway" to the top of the mountain where the "Yeti" appears. That's the only one he had a little trouble on. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good nowhere near a classic like the N64 one though.
This is a decent game but the Nintendo 64 version blows it completely out of the water.I mean I could really use a combat simulator to play when Im stuck in the main game but still there are some great action scenes. The graphics and sound are terrible though.I suggest you skip this one unless youre a die hard Perfect Dark fan.You should get Super Mario Deluxe instead at least that is more fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Its not the N64 game, but its still great.
It should be obvious that it's impossible to convert a console game to a handheld system. Despite this, Rare tried their hardest to continue the adventures of Joanna Dark and in my opinion, they suceeded. Though far from Perfect, Perfect Dark provides a lot of fun for those who are dedicated enough to learn how the game works. There's a substantial amount of depth to this game, and the multiplayer functions are better than any I've seen for a Game Boy Color game. Plus, its ability to unlock cheats in the N64 version is an added bonus to buying this game. The only problem of this game is the slightly awkward hit detection and play control system. That and the game is almost entirely in a limited third person view. Despite this, it is still a brilliant game that should not be passed up.

5-0 out of 5 stars OVERALL GREAT PUZZLE GAME
This is a really good puzzle game. The closest I can think of to relating it with another game in terms of gameplay would be Adventures of Lolo. The game could have been alittle better in as far as your characters action abilities such as jumping and weapons but it is still a great game. Toki Tori must rescue all his egg buddies that have been kidnapped and scattered throughout the game. Once you have grabbed a certain ammount of eggs back you advance to the next stage. Each stage is timed and you are given just enough tools in your possesion to complete a level at a time. The game does get really tough on your brain though making it a really challenging puzzle game for all ages.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Excellent puzzle game
This is a wonderful puzzle game. You must use the tools you are given to figure out how to collect all of the eggs in the level. You can create crates, freeze enemies, suck up enemies, dig holes with the ghost, move objects, telewarp, become a bubble and float, and more. There are four levels with 10 puzzles each, and then 5 hard puzzles in each level. You do not need to complete the hard puzzles to continue. You really need to study each puzzle closely to determine which tools to use where. I recommend this game toanyone who enjoys puzzle solving and has a lot of patience.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent puzzle solving game
I am an adult who is addicted to puzzle games (see Puzzled). This game is very challenging. You must gather all of the eggs in a certain area using special tools. You can build bridges, telewarp, suck up bad guys, move bricks, drop cratesetc. You must study the level and figure out how to use the tools you are given to get to all of the eggs. You can retry a level over and over until you figure it out, but you can't continue until you do. This is not a game for an impatient person. It can take hours to solve one puzzle. (...) ...
