Best Game I Have
This year I got this game for my B-day in May and in June I beat it.It isn't as difficult as other reviews make it seem. The graphics, music, andpuzzles is what made this game terrific for me. I, personally like achallenging game, one that you don't win in a month, but not one that takesyears to figure out. This game isn't wimpy or too hard, it's right in themiddle. I would highly reccommend Montezuma's Return to anyone. Awesome game!
Montezuma's Return is one of the best games I have. It has better features than the Atari version I have and is more challenging. I personally like the fact that there is a save mode and a map. Game designers are improvinggame classics and definitely have made this one terrific.

Not bad
Over all its a difficult game that follows the movie pretty closely. Many of the same jokes and content from the movie is here. Im surprised they put some of th ethings like the guu with the boobs on his head in, and hitler dressed as the maid, complete with his catch frase holy sh*t. Even the opening seen with they guy looking in the window at the girl is still here. The game itself is a side scoller like mario. you just have to manuever the levels and ususaly do somtheing. It is hard though, very hard. If they game play were better im sure it would have done better. im surpised it got a teen reating for strong language and sexual themes. Its not bad just a little hard and a little boring.

The storyline (same as the film's) is that Nicky's father (Satan) is going to retire so he plans to pick one of his 3 sons to take his place as ruler of Hell.Adrian and Cassius (Nicky's other brothers) have high hopes for winning, while Nicky hopes not to be picked.The father decides his sons are not ready to take over Hell so he will reign for another thousand years or so.Adrian and Cassius, enfuriated by this, travel through the firegate to Earth.The gate blocks souls from entering Hell so the devil begins to deteriorate.He sends Nicky to Earth to bring back his brothers before he fully disappears. A waste...
The movie Shrek was a clever, funny respin of a popular fairy tale theme that looked amazing to boot. Shrek: Fairy Tale Freakdown is none of these things. To quote my cousin, "I thought it would be Shrek running around smashing stuff!" but instead I got a mediocre fighter obviously designed by a mentally retarded cockroach. You can beat it in ten minutes or less, but won't enjoy a second. There isn't really sound to speak of, and the graphics look like LEGO people melted in the microwave for an hour or so. The characters all fight the same way. Do not buy!

An Okay Shrek Fighting Game.
Shrek: Fairy Tale Freakdown is the first Shrek fighting game, and it was pretty good. You get to play as one of several Shrek 1 characters and make your way through the various levels, beating the snot out of your opponents all the way. This game was okay, but a little too hard and repetitive. Still, you should rent it. It's not quite good enough to buy.

Really great and simple
I like Metal Gear Solid, and this is a simple version of it (but as fun) It's challenging, as well as with a lot of stratergy. Fun, especially for the Christmas season.

if you like Metal Gear Solid you will like this
this is another stealth game by Konami but with The Grinch instead of Solid Snake, it plays just like the Gameboy Color Metal Gear Solid game, you sneak around trying to steal presents, get crazy gadgets and so on, this type of game is perfect on the handheld because you can play it in short spurts

Elmo is so cute, and fun too!!
This game is so cute.A little on the easy side up to the laststage.I can't get past it!!I was not an avid player until recently.I am new to this stuff.I treated myself to a game boy color and love the Elmo game.It is so cute and very colorful.Each stage is easy to figure out.I recomend this game.

I bought my 4 year old daughter a Gameboy recently and she became very frustrated with the typical games (Ms. Pacman, Mario, etc.) because shehadn't developed her coordination well enough yet to go very far in them.So I got this game hoping it would be easier to manuever. I'm glad I did.It is easy for her to move Elmo and jump over obstacles. And it is more"forgiving" in not taking away his lives so quickly. She isthrilled now that she can complete levels and move on to the next one byherself. I know she will soon become bored with it when she becomes moreadept at the Gameboy controls, but it has served the purpose that I wanted- an easy game that makes her like playing her Gameboy.

If you liked the movie, you'll probably like this. There are only 8 levels in this game. You'll need to go around collecting stuff to get to the next level. For ex: laundry for the first level; boat race, car race, escape through the sewers, etc. I only gave it three stars because this game is to easy, I beat the game the third time I played it.

The great classic horror game, made more playable!
I've always loved the arcade and NES versions of this game. The classic sidescrolling action, the medieval fantasy horror, the bizarre and hideous monsters, the creepy and catchy music... I've always loved just about everything about Ghosts 'N Goblins. The only aspect I didn't like so much was that, in some ways, it was just too ridiculously frustrating. Well, I actually think the GBC version is superior to the NES version; the main improvement being the save system. Since it's such a long game (that you have to complete twice to actually win at), it's nice to be able to take breaks from the challenge instead of trying to beat the game in one go. Also, I'm glad that some of the really tough, quick enemies like the red demons, and the dragons in this version can be destroyed with a handful of shots (instead of about 15 million shots like in the NES version). To put it simply, I think this is a better version of an already great game.

Ghosts N Goblins - Very addicting!
Well, this is an oldie, but a goodie! Ghosts n goblins hits back to theold days, I remember throwing in quarter after quarter into the arcadeversion, and stayed up every night playing it on my NES.. Ohh, the good olddays *sighs* Now, you can get this onthe gameboy color! This game is sofun and addicting, I just bought this today, and my face has been glued tothe gameboy screen! The musick is pretty catchy as well, plus everytime youcomplete a stage, you are rewarded a password, so when you die, you don'thave to start from level one.. Pretty good idea, if you ask me. Great Game for "Alice" Fans
This is a pretty decent adaptation of the classic Disney movie.This game is definitely geared towards kids, as it is simple and not very lengthy, but older fans should enjoy Alice as well.I personally have always enjoyed the Disney-based games, and Alice In Wonderland was one of my favorite Disney movies.I thought the puzzles were fun to solve, and talking to the Wonderland inhabitants was a treat.I actually had just finished playing American McGee's Alice on the computer, and felt like something a bit cheerier, and it accomplished that. If you're an adult, and don't care for Alice, than you probably won't get a whole lot out of this game.Since the game plays out almost exactly as the movie, you almost have to be a fan to enjoy it.
Alice In Wonderland
Alice In Wonderland is a great game for kids. You basicly relive parts of the movie. In the begining you play Alice and you fall down the hole. After that you go through a few levels. In the levels you encounter enimies,keys,and items. The game is pretty short but I think it would make a great gift for any Alice In Wonderland fans,collectors and kids. I would reccomed this for car rides and vacations. Hope you enjoy!

good for little ones
I purchased this for my 5 year old and now he and my four year old fight over it!It is the only game that I have found that lets them continue playing after they have lost all their players.It has proven to be easierfor them than a couple of others that I thought might be good like, Tarzan,Pinball, Mario Bros.

if you whant 3d action you should go some were else. if your going on a trip and you need something to do in the car or on the plane... go some were else. this is a game that i beat in an hour. the only level that is any trouble is the very last one with zerg. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! RENT IT! this is a game you play when you get bored. in order to use a wepon you have to have money but you can only have a total of five coins and if you whant to get on a jump jst or a hover bored you need to use all of it. you can only get on you jet or board for more than 2 minutes any way. the best wepon is iether the bazzooka or the machine gun. and when you fight the boss of the level it tells you what his *CURRENT* weakness is. and again RENT THIS GAME. My kids (4 yr old boy & 6 yr old girl) love this game.The 4 yr old can play it, and actually get to the next level.My 6 yr old gets into the double digit levels, but my wife (mommy) observed that they both started talking about killing things, which are obstacles in the game.They drop stuff on Daffy Duck, blow up Elmer Fudd, and dispose of them to advance.This could be the only negative about this game.It is also very absorbing.A good value for your Gameboy Color.

One hecka fun game!
I think this is the best DKL game ever made. It can be hard to see at times (Or just plain HARD!), but it's still a good, fun game to play. I totally support that other guy's suggestion that there should be a GBA/DS remake.

ROARing Fun!
The color was really bright! The music was really jammin'. But the problem was the graphics were too 2D. I mean the hippos looked like flat cause they were. Very simple of a game, the first nine levels are so easy you could probably do it with your eyes closed. But other than that, I liked it! Music still is jammin!

Fun, cute and entertaining!
I like this game a lot.I am 35 years old, mind you.This is my first time owning a Nintendo Game Boy Color.The game is fun to play the the graphics and color are nice.Simba is easy to move and the game isn't too hard to get from one stage to the next.I recomend this game to anyone.The only thing that gets on my nerves is every time Simba gets hit by a bad animal in the game he says, "ouch" and it gets very tiring if you get hit a lot.The little movie shots between the stages are cute.They go with the stage you were on.Enjoy!!!

Overall, I give this game 4 stars.The graphics are above average (though not great), and if you lose a life during one of the two overhead-view levels, they become scrambled for a moment.There are neat little stills from the movies before and after each level of the game, but to me it looks like someone stuck them in there without touching them up at all so that they'd look better on the Game Boy Color's display.The actual gameplay is pretty nice.Simba moves around at a reasonable speed (not too slow and not too fast), and the game's responsiveness to the controls is also pretty nice.I found the game overall to be pretty entertaining.I think younger kids might enjoy it the most, though.And, as a side note, it really bugs me that the adult Simba in the game is smaller than the young Simba. ... Dragons Are Horrific
First of all, as you can tell by the cover, this is not a game for children.It is a terrifying adventure that chronicles the bloodthirsty nature of fire-blowing, flesh-munching reptilian beasts solely out for the destruction of mankind.
Lots of fun!
I bought this game for my 5 yr old daughters birthday, she's using it on a GBA she also got as a gift for her birthday.My 8 yr old has also tried this game on her GBC and she said it was the most fun she'd ever had with a game.Both of my daughters were thrilled to add this game to their collection.

Pretty Good Game
Dragon Tales: Dragon Wings can be frustrating at times, but can be fun all the same. I have to say the age recomendation is kinda off and should be for slightly older players, I even had a slightly hard time playing it on some of the levels! But there are many qualities to the game though. For instance it teaches a young child to follow directions to accomplish a goal, and teaches a child how to use a Gameboy Color. Some wonderful features about the game inculde choosing between Ord or Cassie as characters to control in the game. Also there are 3 levels of difficulty easy, medium, or hard depending on how skilled your child maybe, and for each level there are 3 kinds of trophies to get apon complishion of a level which are bronze, silver, and gold. With each new level your child learns more and more actions to do with the dragons and eventually they must use multiple tasks in a level to get the job done which lets them use what they have learned to do. A really dumb game
I bought this game, played it, And didn't play it again.What you do is you control this little guy,and you Jump around the screen and collect items and stuff.You can also Make boxes out of thin air by pressing a button,or you can make them dissappear with the same button.Each level has a key you must collect to open the door to the next level. The are also little Monsters that you can kill by using the box appear thing on them.You can also collect 4 peices of pottery to contain a certain monster that will give you a special ability. It may sound good,but youhave to play it to belive me.If your planning on buying it,don't,Unless your a REALLY big Monster Rancher fan!Even if you are,you might not like it!

Chalenging but Fun
Mario style character puzzel game. Quite interesting involing Monsters to help beat oppenents and get you to the key and out of the level. Very fun Multiplayer levels that you create. You should borrow it from a friend or rent it. Don't buy it.

I purchased this game used.It seemed cool, as the Nintendo64 version was good.When I started to play it, it was entaertaining... for a while, until the repetitive gameplay started to kick in.The annoying parts were the jumps and unfair opposing damage.I played it for ten minutes and then my game froze.It wasn't my Game Boy Color, it was probably just that it was used.That made me kind of mad, as I had [aid an unreasonable price for the game.I played on, hoping it wouldn't freeze again.I got to level two, the haunted mansion level, but I couldnt complete it!There was absolutly no way to jump up onto the ledge to go further into the level.I immidiatly returned the game with no regrets.

One of the best games I played!
I got this game for christmas and I really like it. The game has Almost a bad game, Almost a good game
I thought that this game had no plot whatsoever. But it is pretty challenging. The graphics are pretty good and Gex is a neat geco, but I think that the plot is one of the most important parts of the game. The enemies aren't too hard too kill but the codes to get to more levels are too complex and hard to record. The point of codes is so that someone who gets to a level can go back, but someone who hasn't been there can't--in this game you can't no matter what because the codes are very difficult to get right. Also, the whole point of the game is to get all of the TV screens, how stupid is that? But there are plenty of levels, and it is pretty hard, the graphics are pretty good, thats why I gave it a triple-star, but I thought that it had the one of the worst plots that I've seen in a game, but you might like it. ...
