It's Tail Time!
Eidos and Crystal Dynamics did well in this game. The graphics are pretty good for a GBC game. The music is nice, and so are the sound clips. The video hints in this game are also very helpful. I'm not far in this game, but I can tell you; it is a real challenge for people young and old. If you are a seriuos gamer, you may think this game is a bore 'cause some of the stuff has already been in action games. Gex's diguises are cute and they are highly detailed. This game is not for beginners though because the controls can be a little tricky. Do I suggest that you get this game? Absolutely! It will be well worth your money.

the graphics are very cool.there are about 15 levels but all of them are very long and fun.In each levels gex changes his outfit.lots of items are there to find.i recomed this game to good gamers.its worth the money!

Hard and Good Game

Like Any Other Fun Puzzle Game
This game is a really good game.I bet that any of you would have many hours of fun playing this game and trying to figure out it's puzzles.It is like any other game that has puzzles in it.The graphics(like the first kid said; and I agree with him) are kind of shoddy[not great], but it is still very fun.It's kind of easy at first, but it gets harder.I'm still in the middle of the game, because it gets so hard.You get to play as Rick O'Connell, Evelyn Carnahan, her brother Jonathan, and maybe Ardeth Bay.And yes, Imhotep goes through his 4 stages, and gets harder each time.If you've seen the movie "The Mummy", you'll know what level(s) come next.I'm going to give you an insiders tip:there are over 46 levels, and they each go by chapters(I don't exactly know why, but that's how it is).So start writing those codes!I highly recomend this game for others.But they gave it a teen rating;there is doubtfully any blood and all that other stuff.Don't listen to the rating!!

Excellent fun, shoddy graphics
This game is very fun to play, withenemies and puzzles apenty.The characters from the movie are all here, along with some levels set in settings from the movie.(Note to parents- I personally think the ESRB went a little overboard while rating this game.They put a Teen rating on it, while there is a minimal amount of violence in it, and the enemies, once dead dissappear in a haze of blurriness, so it is not very graphic at all.)The only draw back of this game is that the graphics are very plain.The people are comprised of individual squares, but don't let this scare you away from a unique portable video gaming experience. ... the best game i ever played
First of alll this game is awsome.I picked up one this morning and the game is just mindblowing.The graphics are sweet you explore every level in amazing deatile(spelling???).The levels are quite challenging though.Witch doesn't make the game boring.I would advise playing this game on a gameboy advanced.Although it looke almost the same on the gbc(gameboy color).I would just perfure the bigger screen.I would advise this game to be out of stock because of all of the goodies you get with this game.So if you are still reading this Reviewgo out and buy for yourself.Before they become out of stock. ... A Very Fun Game.
Finally, they make a very good game for game boy color. In this game you play 12 levels. This game is a hard one. I already made it through all 12 levels and it was hard. It was also fun. But, this game might not be fun for the kids. Oh well. Think before you buy this for your kids, parents. Thanks. A hit with grandchildren and their father!
The kids loved this game and so did their father.It has several levels which keeps it from getting old and boring too soon. disappointing
I liked the game for its great graphics and the way you can decipher the coded messages, you can pick your characters most levels, and that it gives you a password for each level you finish. It has four game modes: forced side scroller, non-forced side scroller, shooter and sword fighting. In forced side scroller you keep running from an entity and can't stop, in non-forced side scroller (my favorite mode) you can maneuver yourself through the level, in shooter you just shoot and duck (boring), and in sword-fighting you can't even jump or anything (more boring). It was so much like the movie that it was like playing through the film! But it was boring and not very challenging---you can finish this game in a few hours. The levels just repeat themselves except that the backgrounds change and the controls are confusing because the game doesn't tell you what mode the upcoming level is, and the controls for each mode change. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HEED TO THE OTHER REVIEWS.MY 4 YO CANNOT EVEN PLAY.MY 7 YO HAS A VERY HARD TIME.ADULTS??MAYBE A LITTLE BORING.

I got this game for my birthday.The only problem is that it is a one timer.It is only exiting the first time you play it.Then it will get boring.You do the same missions over and over.Not even a strong Doug fan would like this game.

Not worth the money
Being a big fan of the Nickelodeon Doug cartoon, I thought I'd give this a try.Luckily, I didn't pay for it.The game is based on the ABC show of Doug, but even though I hadn't really watched that version, I had no real trouble since I had so much knowledge of the past version.The one main problem with this game is that if you aren't that familiar with the show, you'll have a lot of trouble.Knowing where to go is based on where you would go if you were a character on the show.This is a minor setback to new watchers and those who don't pay that much attention when they watch.This could be overlooked if after finishing the game once, which takes about two hours, you were able to do something else.That's right, after finishing, the only thing you can do is play the exact same game you just finished.While the first two of maybe even three times it's not that big of a problem, you can only play the same game so many times before you get tired of it.This is a definate must-rent for any Doug fan because it isn't a half-bad game the first time you play it, but it definately isn't for everyone.No matter who you are, ddn't buy this game, rent it instead.If you really like playing the same adventure over and over, go ahead and add it to your shopping cart. ... NEVER PLAY THIS GAME
This game is soooooooooooooo bad , the worst game i played . on the first level you know it stinks. A bad game of a good moovie

Pretty good!
I agree with the other reviewer...it has hard stages and some easy stages.I can't get past Level 8 - the magnifying glass gets me every time!Thegraphics are good and controls are pretty easy to use.Both of my kidshave played it, but when they start getting frustrated they just put itdown, until I master the level and move it on for them.My complaint isthat you only start with 3 lives, and you can only earn a max of 4 in eachlevel.That means you play each stage over and over and over until you getthru it without dying.

This game is alot of fun, but it is hard. The kids and I play it for hours and have only been able to get to Level 3 so far. Hopefully in a month or so we will have completed the game! Good Luck to those who have it! ... Read more

Back in my day.....
which wasnt a long time ago, but this 'shakey flakey' game boy animation was just putrid. From any stand point you would look at a slurgs (aka the lil green blobby things that come out of the blue and eat you for no reason) and youd think it was the FOLLOWING: A.) A BLOB OF GREEN SLOG (Those freaking ... of a dog) CRAP, B.) A PLANT OR C.) WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? In short? My review goes only to that the animation sucked, and that the plot was scarcilly short, stanky, and the only reason I wouldnt give it a LOWER rating is because those damned sligs were kickin .... Oh yes and being a true fan of Simpsons I must end my review as so....

Oddworld IS a letdown
I have the first in this series for my playstation.This translation into gameboy color is disappointing.The only thing that gave it 2 stars instead of 1 or 0 was that the characters can say four phrases. Even for gameboy color, it shouldn't be THIS bland and boring.

Not for younger players
For those who prefer simpler games (run, jump, point, shoot) this game is not for you.Learning the controls to talk to other Mudokons will be frustrating to both children and the impatient alike.It will be nearimpossible for those who cannot read yet.For non-English speaking peoplethere is the option to select a different language, which I thought wascool.I forgot what they all were, but other languages include German,Spanish, French and maybe Italian. ... It just goes on and on and on....
(...) I have no idea when this game will end. I just goes on and on, puzzle after puzzle. The key of Babe is to bark at the sheep and guide him past the flags. It may sound simple but believe me once you get into the abandoned house you have to think wisely so that your sheep wont fall down a hole or something. This game ables you to master the ability of thinking carefully before you make a move. Have fun!

Fun at the beginning - can frustrate younger players
I bought this game for my 4 and 6 year old to play on a long trip as it looked like something my 4 year could have some success at.After the first couple of sequences, where you herd the sheep, it gets ratherdifficult.I, as an adult, enjoy the game, but it can get a littlefrustrating for my younger son as he can't get very far without needingsome help.

Good Game
Well, this is a good game, this was the first game I have played with a gameboy.It's really fun to try the game out once in a while even though it's old.Well, sort of.I used cheat codes in this game.For some codes, invincibility is DLVTRKBNRG, unlimited weapons is DLVTRKBWPS, Lives is DLVTRKBLVS, and Bird mode (which is pretty cool) is DLVTRKBBRD.To activate bird mode, press select, A, B at the same time.But hey, cool weapons. Chain gun, a powerful cannon, pistol, arrows, dagger, all a good weapon to use.If you have this game, tired of finishing the first level?Want to move on?Type DLYLWKVYYC in the password box in options and you are in the second level. Overall, even though I talked more about the game than my opinion, it is a cool game!!9 levels, no blood (which is not that bad), is a good game.

I had this game for 3 years now and I love it the graphics are great and the guy that said the bullets look like balls I,m with him. Well anyway youve got to buy this game. Also the game is a little frusterating, but at the end it's nothing but commen cents so buy this. Your not wasting money!
