The Sims 2 is awesome!!
This is actually her daughter Kris and I ve been playing it for a long while and i can say i didnt get it off here but i bought it in a store and i thought i would be disappointed by it but actually i was utterly thrilled by it!! Its the greatest sim game that was every created plus i am to believe that the expansion packs of the sims 2 will be even more enjoyable than the sims 2. The sims 2 is even better than the sims; it gets you up close and personal with the sims and the 3D version is alot better as well. The sims 2 is the most greatest simulated game ever made!!

Totally Addictive!!
I bought the first Sims and loved it so when the Sims 2 came out I just had to give it a try.And you guessed it I loved it.I love the family and neighborhood interactions.The graphics are great.Being able to create your own community lots has really increased the game play.If you enjoy role-playing then this is the game for you.But beware hours and days can fly by and you will not realize because it is totally addictive.

This game changed my life and my grades lol
Thanks to this game, I was going to sleep late and forgetting my college work at that time. When the first SIms was out, it was a groundbreaking genre. Totally open-ended and you control the lives of people called SIMS. With the updated graphics which are phenomenal and some tweakings but not much, the game still is one of my favorites that I still play today. Whenever I am playing it my fiance loves----wooohooo. Its hillarious and Im surprised no attention was put on this aspect. Instead more attention was on the cheat code that takes the block off the naked blur. geez cant people find something else to wine about. The sims parts are not even represented (yeah Im guilty of using the code lol).

The story is great, as for the game...
Before I was even done with Final Fantasy VII, I ordered this game. I loved that game, and thought 'Say, if Final Fantasy VII is this good, then VIII must be even better!', boy was I wrong! I'm not bashing Final Fantasy VIII, I kind of liked the game, but there are big problems with it. First of all, the draw system is kind of hard, but I liked it, it was a change of pace, but the way you have to equip summon GFs (Guardian Force) was hard and boring. The music in the game reminds me of the music in the movie 'AKIRA', which is a bad thing, The characters in battle remind me of crash dummies, and the way that you get new weapons is by making them at junk shops! Not only that, but the characters are not very likeable.
Not the greatest FF, but awesome nontheless
While either VI or VII will probably remain my favorite FF game of all time, it's almost impossible to not include VIII somewhere in the top five IMO. The graphics are, of course, incredible, pure eye candy. The music fits every scene in the game and is done very well, though overall I think I prefer VII's soundtrack. Though I didn't become particularly attached to any one character in the game, most of the characters are done well and serve their purpose. IMO the gameplay is the weakest point of FFVIII, though I'm sure there are many who'd disagree with me. The junction system IMO was boring and a bit confusing, and the way you acquire magic spells was also very tedious, I much prefer using MP. The amount of side quests in FFVIII was also disappointing IMO, not a fraction of how many there were in VII. Moving away from the negatives, the story is done very well IMO but simply can't touch FFVII's incredible plot. All in all FFVIII probably isn't a game you'll find yourself replaying over and over, simply because of how tedious the actual gameplay is. The production values and overall quality of the game, however, are both very high and should definitely be experienced by any fan of the RPG genre.

A great game for people who want something a little different
I still remember getting this game on 9/9/99, the day it came out. I love this game because of it's junction system and some of the other cool features in this game. Unfortunatly, from all of the people that I knew, people either hated the game (most of those people are on this side of the love/hate group) and a few people loved it (Extremly Hardcore RPG fans seem to love it.). I love the game but this is the Final Fantasy game that a whole lot of people just can't stand. It is a long game, especially if you get stuck, so a guide (internet or actual guide i don't care) will really help. It is the easiest game to literally reach level 100 because every 1000 exp gets you a level up but using the junction system is also an important role in the game because it can raise your stats as well. The FINAL Final Fantasy for the PSone
This is probably one of my least favorite FF games on the PSone. There are some good things and some bad things about this game. first the bad: 1. Squaresoft (Now Square Enix, Goddammit!) was trying to get to the old roots of the SNES games. To me anyway, it doesn't look entirely like those games. 2. Some of the characters are the worst in the FF games' history (Quina, Eiko, and Garnet. I am not sexist, it's just that their abilities suck and their type of combat is terrible). the other characters are good, not great, but decent. 3. I don't care too much for the character models (the deformation and Final Fantasy 8 graphics mix). okay for the good parts of the game: 1. The Cinemas!!! they look really good for a PSone game, most of the games cinemas on the PSone don't look that great in this era of gaming and even some during that era. 2. Ending!! I am not saying anymore. 3. The battle system. it's not quite FF8 and not quite FF7 but it's in between and has the Trance system thingy. After this game, I sadly am seeing the series not being as good as it once was (I like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals and can't wait for the remake of FF3 for the DS), Final Fantasy 10 isn't that legendary, FF 11, which I never did and never will play (because of fees, reminds me too much like Phantasy Star Online (I like that game though), and not much of a single player expericence with no storyline), and FF 12 just because it will have the FF11 battle engine, looks like FFCC and FF10 mixed together, and I just seem not to care that much about the newer FF games anymore. So I would recommend any FF game on the PSone (Including the PSone ports of the SNES games and Origins) because they are so great and even if the games don't have the best graphics in the world, it's gameplay and storylines that count.

One of their best expansions yet
EA Games has to be the best game company out there. They take a great thing like The Sims (the original) and make it even better with each expansion and with the new Sims 2 and their expansions.

Another piece of the pie...
It's interesting how the Maxis empire has evolved over the years.The very first expansion pack way back when was pretty revolutionary - it seemed like not very many companies were doing such a thing as releasing expansions.And back then it gave what the users were demanding - new objects.Today our demands are much higher as consumers, yet Maxis still doesn't *entirely* listen.It seems like with the Sims 2 their strategy is to release one new aspect of the game that fans have been wanting for ages - while still leaving out a big chunk of things people desire.
A Great Game!
My sister got Sims 2: Open for Business for her birthday. As Sims fanatics, we wanted to control how our Sims worked. In the Original Game, we even made pool centers- complete with hot tubs- but we would have to use cheats to get any money; we couldn't charge other Sims for hanging out. This expansion puts a whole spin on the game, adding in an whole new part to the Sims. As previous review said, for a couple of hours a day, your Sim would just drive off in a car, and come back 9 hours later saying that he's made $374.

Nintendo's first real competition
Disclaimer:I am not a kid, my mom isn't around to tell me her password so I can't write reviews.AS soon as she does, I will.
Five stars as gaming machine; One star as a movie machine.
As a gaming machine, this Sony PlayStation Portable would most likely get five stars. After all, you get to choose from really interesting titles like "Lumines," which is probably the best thing since Tetris. You get something called "Daxter," a 3-D action-platformer without Jak, Daxter's partner in the first three "Jak and Daxter" games released on the PlayStation 2, and soon, there will be something called "Ace Combat X," basically Ace Combat 4 or 5 converted to the PSP. This is all very well and good because for the first time in video game history, one has access to fully-3D action-platformers on a handheld system. On the other hand, what really stinks is giving this handheld the ability to play movies, only to have companies release certain ones. As a movie-playing machine, this PSP is definitely a one-star product. The idea of a handheld that can play movies sounds intriguing at first, but then, when one considers the fact that all movies are either going to take a very long time to be officially released in the UMD format that the PSP plays or are not going to be released in the UMD format at all, it kind of sucks the pleasure out of the fact that the machine is capable of playing movies. Moreover, it seems like whoever is responsible for releasing movies in this format is only trying to promote certain ones. If Sony really wanted to make this thing both a gaming machine and a movie machine, then why not devise a way to make it capable of playing ALL DVDs on the go, and not just the ones that the companies decide to remake for the system? After all, they did it with the PlayStation 2. There are some pretty intelligent, technical minds working for Sony, so I'm sure that they could have come up with some kind of way. If a company is going to release a handheld machine that can play movies on the go, then wouldn't it be great to have access to this feature for ALL movies, and not just ones that companies choose to release? Furthermore, in my humble opinion, with the possible exception of 'Herbie: Fully Loaded,' 'Red Eye,' 'Men in Black' and 'Ice Age,' about 90% of the movies that actually are being released in this UMD format aren't really all that good anyway, but that's beside the point. The point that I'm trying to make is that having access to some movies on the go but not others just doesn't seem fair. And yes, I know I'm probably going to get bombarded with that old "Life's not fair" cliche, but if Sony had just NOT made this thing capable of playing movies in the first place or if they had fixed it so that gamers/movie fans would have access to ALL movies on the go, then it wouldn't have to be.

Good first version
The game play is pretty good. The graphics are workable. It is a little too easy on the easy level. It does well accessing the Star Wars world.

PRETTY GOOD GAME BUT PRETTY HIGH REQUIREMENTS
This is easily the best rpg for the computer ever created, the only problem is that you need really high system requirments, even higher than the box suggests most of the time. But if you can make it work on your computer than this game you will not stop playing for a looooooong time. The graphics if you can run them on high detail are CRAZY AWESOME. There are so many weapons and armor and side quests. You will spend a long time playing this game if you want to 100% complete it by doing the main quest and all of the side quests. And another good thing about this collector's edition is that you get a big map that says where the key areas in cyrodiil are. The mini-guide to tamrial is helpful to because it tells you about the characters and all about the eras of the game. And the Septim coin is pretty cool because you get to see what the money in the game looks like. So overall this game is THE BEST GAME IVE EVER PLAYED FOR PC.

What you need to know before buying
The game requires a very high end video-card in order to display correctly - even with a newly new 2.8 GHz HP desktop, I wasn't able to play the game without the purchase of a new video card - the CHEAPEST supported video card being just over $100.

Some good, some tedious
This expansion adds some good things, like extra aspiration slots and multiple aspiration locks, some good new items and social interactions (Hang Out in particular is nice so that you don't have to babysit your sims' chatting).
A whole new stage of life!
The university pack brings to life the fun of university.It is up to you to make your Sims study or party their years away.I loved the new items and universities.However I do find that it can drag growing up to an adult out a bit. But I accept that for the added game play and new items etc.I would recommend this as a good addition to any Sims game.

2 great Final Fantasies from the SNES era
These 2 games are probably (in my opinion anyway) the best ones in the series. I will review each game seperatly then make my comments on the collection itself.
An awesome game!
I had heard of how amazing Final Fantasy VI was supposed to be. So, I thought, I have to get this game, even if to just fill out my Final Fantasy collection.
A Good Investment
Two great RPG's in one package.Playstation owners who began Final Fantasy with the 7th installment can finally see what all the hype is about with VI.Final Fantasy V is also a great game, the first in the series where you spend alot of time in the menu combining abilities with accessories/equipment to customize your characters.

Worth it!!!
While I was also sceptical about the 4-6 hour idea, the game is just so well done that I can't fault Valve for going the epispodic route.Would I have preferred HL3?Sure, but there is something to be said for not having to wait 2-3 years for the next one. . .As mentioned, the graphics are amazing on this expansion, noticable in almost every detail and in the lighting, which is incredibly realistic.Gameplay is great, with some interesting twists, old standby's like Barney and new combine baddies to overcome.Allin all a great game; can't wait for episode 2!Oh, I couldn't get the game to load off the disc from amzn, but it was relaitively easy to get from Steam. . .

Fantastic continuation of the Half Life story. Essential!
Half Life 2 is in my opinion the best computer game that has ever been made. So I was obviously very excited about getting my hands on this expansion. Firstly, I have noticed quite a few reviewers giving the game terrible reviews due to it not running correctly on their PCs. Well, I'm happy to say that I had no dramas whatsoever. I do however have broadband Internet, so the massive downloads that Steam based games require do not affect me too much. But I can understand why other people would find it all rather frustrating.
Absolutely outstanding. A must have. Period.
I can't believe the number of one star reviews and that this game has only 3 and 1/2 stars rating overall. It's ridiculous.

75 out of a 100 Due to mechanicle and AI flaws.
To begin with, this game has some excellent potential which the right patches could easily fix. The first is the AI, both friendly and hostile. First off the AI is much too hard on easy settings. For instance, even on Medium, it is quite possible to get swarmed by the AI five minutes into the game. Seriously, as the Goblins for instance, by the time I got a single Cave, and Mine up and running, with two groups built, I find myself fighting off six to seven groups of enemies, who are followed by back up.
crazy sweet game
This game rocks! It's got some major pros but it also has a small amount of cons. I'm a big fan of RTS games, like the age of empires series. This game has all the awsome traits of most great RTS games, but it adds a whole other level of gameplay from the lord of the rings additions. It has all the major factions, men, elves, dwarves, mordor, isengard, and the goblins. The men are basically rohan and gondor combined. i havent played as them other than the tutoriul so i dont know a lot about them. the elves rock out loud as archers (plus they have ents) and they have fair swordsman. the dwarves are definitly close range and seige,they dont even have calvary.

the bad. the races are so unmatched!the dwarfs have these catupults that kill all, the goblins can climb over walls(elimanating the point of having them)and the ura kai kill anything in there path (with the exception of horseman) and if the battle is even (1 v 1) the one with the better race wins with the exceptions of castles.now it is pretty fair in the natoriusly short campaine.but in skirmish mode its only fair if its plains and your the same race, or if the weak race starts in a castle.the good.the game is very realistic such as if horse man go up against pikeman head on there doomed but if they go to the side before the pikeman can turn, the pikeman are as good as gone

One of the other FF collections to have
This collection isn't as bonus feature happy as Anthology was. this version of FF4 (2 in the USA at the time of the SNES/Genesis era) hasn't changed that much. the random battle loading screen is like the SNES version, the switch between field/world map to the character menu while loading is fast as hell (while sadly Chrono Trigger is slower than the 2 FF games for the Anthology collection and even slower than the other Final Fantasy games for the PSone Era (7,8,9)) Chrono Trigger has a lot of bonus features for this version. Squaresoft (at the time) put a S*** load of cinemas (mainly ending cinemas), has a list of music from the game, and other stuff. The gameplay is still the same, with the exception of what I said earlier, which is good otherwise. unlike Anthology, this collection has no bonus music CD (for those who care anyway). this is still worth owning anyway.

Final Fantasy Chronicles
This is one of the best games I have ever played. Anyone who is sceptical just needs to pick a controller and go. You won't be dissappointed.

Excellent package, but serious flaws in code
Both Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger are excellent games (CT could be my favorite game of all time).Final Fantasy IV has been excellently restored to its original "hardtype" version.Story elements and dialog have been restored, which is extremely exciting.

Nice for the kids
I bought this shortly after it was released at a Target store--paid about $15 for it.I really like the castle collections, as I, too, was bored with the clouds and other dull collections.While you can produce a really neat collection for the castle, it's really hard to make a more adult themed room.I am in agreeance that it would have been better to have it as a downloadable expansion from their site. I am a die-hard Sims fan as well and I have even pre-ordered the Pets from EA.So far, this is the only expansion that I haven't been head-over-heals for.I am anxiously awaiting the release of the pets.

Sorry, Sims fans, it's a complete waste!!
Quite simply, I have bought EVERY SINGLE Sims game (including game console versions and handheld versions)and I have never been disappointed, until now.I'm such a Sims fan that I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed before this purchase.I can tell you that this "add-on" is nothing more than re-painted versions of already existing furniture that you have.The last time I checked, you can go on several websites and download many, many things just like this, for free (not to mention, do it yourself).Do NOT waste your money.Me?I'm waiting for the pets, hopefully that won't be such a let-down.

Save your money - This Stuff Pack is SHAMEFUL!
I bought this right after I bought Open for Business thinking that it would be a great compliment to my game. Boy was I ever wrong! There is a good reason why Maxis didn't give more previews of what would be in this stuff pack - it is a couple of low-poly, hideous objects, outfits, and recolors. I have spent more time on research papers than Maxis/EA did on this stuff pack. Would it kill them to make some quality hairstyles or even some new linens for the beds? If you want high quality downloads for your game, save your $20 and use it as a payment for a paysite or even go to a free site. The custom content offered on fan sites puts Maxis/EA to shame. Never again will I buy one of these stuff packs - it is basically stuff that is left out of expansion packs so that Maxis/EA can squeeze more money out of Sims 2 fans. ... Read more

One of the greatest RPGs ever made
Though this title feels a bit outdated now, back in 1997 it was considered revolutionary, and for good reason. The graphics IMO stand the test of time with lush, beautiful landscapes and detailed backgrounds... though TBH the character designs leave quite a bit to be desired. The epic and incredible musical score matches the emotion conveyed by every scene in the game, this is truly some quality composing (BTW, buying the OST for this game would be a wise investment). Each of the several characters are given convincing feelings and depth, and by the end of the game you'll probably think you actually know these people. Though the game can be a bit easy at times, overall the game is paced very well, no really challenging bits coming up at unexpected times. The villain of the game, Sephiroth, is very well thought out and sinister, though TBH I didn't like him as much as Kefka from FFIII (the American version). The ATB battle system utilized in the game really keeps you on your toes, you've really got to prepare carefully for some of the tougher boss fights. The amount of side quests in the game are plentiful, with most of them being challenging, fun, and very rewarding. All in all FFVII holds a very special place in my heart not only because of its nostalgic value, but also because it's a genuinely great game. Anyone who hasn't played it yet should make an effort to do so right away, though I would recommend trying to find it cheaper than what the Amazon sellers are currently asking for it.

Great once Now it is outdated
Final Fantasy VII was a revolutionary title to say the least. The game contained several things that wowed gamers everywhere such as beautiful graphic, new battle system(limit break, materia) and actually engaging plot. When I played it in 1997!!, I absolutely loved it and thought that it was oneof the greatest game ever made.

How much time do you have?
This game is a blast- no way around it.But Steam, Valve's annoying memory hog run in the tray adware copyright protection content delivery applicationis a constant source of screaming fits.Every time I sit down and I just want to play for 30 minutes or something before work or school, Steam throws an error and refuses to let me into the game, even going so far as to tell me that I do not own the game, or its "unavailable."
Excellent game, spoiled by the most intrusive piracy protection ever!
I endorse all the other reviewers postive comments about this game.As 1st person shooters go, it's about as good as they get.But I felt I had to post a warning for anyone who, like me, had no idea about this 'Steam' anti-piracy thing.

Don't buy this game.
So I'm at Target browsing through the computer games and I come across this game. I think great, a Forgotten Realms game with 2 expansion packs and the updated patches all in one disc for only $20!
Slight dissapointment
I purchased this game hoping to play it as soon as I got it, but as luck would have it there were no CD keys for the game in the box.The page was there in the manual it was just blank.So it took we over a week of playing e-tag with Atari before I could play :(Otherwise it's been great

Installing Neverwinter Nights Diamond
This is a great game! However Atari managed to send out a whole shipment without install codes. After amazon sent me the second version without codes I contacted Atari and was informed of this mistake. Once I emailed them a photo of the area missing the codes they sent them to me. Since then I have had a lot of fun. I would have given the game five stars but even with the latest patches it still has a tendancy to crash every once in a while. Best Game I'veever played !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oblivon is a realy great game. My dad bought it for me at the end of the summer vacation. The graphics are GREAT , and so is the storyboard. Try to look at the game and you'll be awed.The Emperor's voice is really well done.The game is opened ended , either stay on the main quest or live your own life by exploring the vast world.I recommend that you should buy this game if you like RPG's and enjoy epic fantasy.
Good for exploring, very poor story

Lots of Fun (Not great support from EA though)
One big thing to note...this package says PC/DVD on the cover, so if your pc has an older CD drive only (as ours does) you will not be able to load it on your machine.We had to put it on a different machine.
Deja vu all over
I installed and started C&C: Tiberian Dawn and I immediately went back to the year 1996 when the music "Act on Instinct" played.
Not worth the 40 plus price
