5-0 out of 5 stars Solid Game
Its a great game even if you only play offline like I do.Definitely measures up to Blizzard standards and is as good if not better than all its precursors.Great game at a fair price!

5-0 out of 5 stars Bought the chest to play Dota.
One day I was hanging out with my friends, and I saw them playing Warcraft Dota Map on Battlenet.I had so much fun watching them play that I told myself I have to get into the action.Spent less than $30 to buy the chest on Amazon.Got it within a few days with free shipping. In my opinion, nowadays $30 can't even get you a full tank of gas anymore. This chest provides me with hours of entertainment with my friends, all for less than $30!!I think getting it is a no brainer and a bargain. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars not quite what I expected
The advertising for this collection led me to believe I would be getting these 7 games in their original formats... but I was disappointed to find not the original version of KQ1, but the SCI version released in 1990.KQ6 has voice commentary instead of text, but you can switch back to text if you like--I haven't found any such option for KQ5, so it looks like you're stuck with the voice (and no supplemental text, either, so it gets annoying fast).I haven't had a look at KQ4 yet but everything else seems to be the same.I'll be glad to play these games without having to wrestle with our old Tandy, but I wish they didn't get messed with.Especially disappointed with there being no text option for KQ5.

2-0 out of 5 stars A must for KQ fans, but very disappointing quality
I've been counting down until I could get this release and couldn't wait to play all these great games again. When I got it and started playing, it was fun but the disappointment kept mounting.Little things like no manuals (you have open a file and/or print them yourself... not a big deal in itself, but come on Vivendi, quit being so cheap) and no case for the CDs (you just get twopaper sleeves) make the package look incredibly cheap and low quality.Yes, these are computer games from the 80s and early 90s, but this package could have been put together better.
1-0 out of 5 stars Lies
My gripe is about KQ6.One customer said that there were no differences between the cd and disk versions. This information is false. At the time of its origional release, I was fortunate to have a high end computer (for its time) that was able to run the Windows CD version of KQ6 which had much better graphics and Character Illustrations. I was beyond upset when I found out that this was nothing but the DOS version. I bought this to play the windows version that to my knowlage does not work in any way on any OS past win95 (maybe 98). Those who have played and have been waiting to play the Windows CD version will be very upset. ... Read more

Installed this on a Dell that is less than a year old the screen image has the top half of the image on the botton and the bottom half of the image on the top. This is obviously irritating. E-mail Sierra support but have not received any reply.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Indomitable Space Quest Returns!
The Praise: Dont get me wrong, i grew up with Space Quest. When i first had access to a computer the underdog jeugo back then was Space Quest V: The Next Mutation, figured it was worth the christmas gift...instant crack.
4-0 out of 5 stars nostaglia at its best
I would have preferred to have the original SQ1 (instead of the VGA remake)... and I was glad to find that I can choose to use text instead of speech for SQIV, as I had the text-based version as a kid.The manual (as another reviewer said--taken from a different I-V compilation, with SQ6 tacked on) and having to print it out yourself annoyed me at first... but it's not really a big deal considering the big plus of having all these games that will actually work on my current computer.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very boring, quite playing after 2 days
I am a huge fan of the RPG genre and have played just about every one for the PC.Morrowind is the most boring one I have ever played.I turned it off after two evenings of SLOWLY walking around, having stupid repetitive conversations with NPCs, and lamely fighting rats. The interface is terrible. You are very limited in what you can carry, so after you kill a monster you can't even carry your treasure back to town. This "game" was all work with no fun.Do not buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Morrowind is fun and well worth the money
I purchased a copy of the Game of the Year Edition at the end of May, 2006.It is now almost September.I have been playing Morrowind for three months most week day evenings for about 4 hours and most weekends for about 12 hours.

3-0 out of 5 stars Missing Game 7 and no "Talkies" on 6
I am somewhat disappointed - I knew LSL 7 was not included (although it should be, if you're releasing a "collection") but LSL 6 is the Text-only version. WTF? Sorry, the game is so much better with the voice overs.
3-0 out of 5 stars A+ for games, C for effort
The Leisure Suit Larry games are some of the best games that came out in the late 80s and early 90s, so a collection that contains all of them is certainly welcome. However, this is not that collection.
2-0 out of 5 stars Ok, but I guess I expected more.
For fans of the original 5 (1, 2, 3, 5 & 6) Leisure Suit Larry games, this is great since you can now play them on XP.I do however have a few complaints about this game.1 is that you don't get a printed manual with this game, just an electronic version that you either have the print out or bring up to be able to play the game. You also don't get a CD case, just a white sleeve. Also, I know that these are old games and don't have the best graphics, but to me the graphics are worse than they were originally, maybe I need to change the settings on my PC, but some things are so bad you can't even identify them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellence
This is a great item for any collector or new fans to the X-men. All the older along with the newer issues look great. The CD includes all issues of the Uncanny X-men (1-461) along with Giant Sized and annual issues. There is also comprehensive biographies on the more popular characters and artwork and layouts of the Xaiver Institute. Could it of had more content, maybe, but this will keep one busy for a long time. With easy maneuverabiltity, this is a highly addictive CD with virtually months of entertainment.

4-0 out of 5 stars X marks the spot
Nice collection of the complete issues, though, of course, one knows going in that the later Marvel practice of storylines that run through all the books makes the stories provided only a small slice of the full story, which is somewhat frustrating.
5-0 out of 5 stars For every X-Men fan....

In 1995, a young game studio named Westwood released one of the first real-time strategy games. They had created the genre a few years earlier, but this title took the fledgling genre to new heights with impressive graphics, revolutionary gameplay features and an enthralling story told through the then-young art of full motion video. After twelve successful games spread out over ten years, the venerable Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of Fun (Not great support from EA though)
One big thing to note...this package says PC/DVD on the cover, so if your pc has an older CD drive only (as ours does) you will not be able to load it on your machine. We had to put it on a different machine.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the 40 plus price
I guess if you played the who series of Command and Conquer games from the beginning then it may be worth getting the game for sentimental reasons...but otherwise it is not worth spending this much for a game, when all that is good is the last game in the series. Its fun, a good waste of time but nothing special. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Very Monotonous
I bought this game a few weeks ago expecting a game I could play all summer. I got bored with it in three days. All you do on this game is tell your Sim to eat, sleep, go to work, take a shower, use the toilet, and watch TV. While your Sim is at work or sleeping you watch the time go by. The graphics are horrible. You can hardly see your Sim. The only fun things in this game are that you get to build your houses and make out with girls. You do the same things every day. Don't waste your money on this game. The Sims 2 is much, much better. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars very good but lacking research.
This was a very good game but i should go over the points. 1 the japanese had a british machine gun(COD). 2 flying the planes is next to impossible. 3 u get shot once your dead. but it was a great game all the same. just needs to be more realistic.

2-0 out of 5 stars bad
i bought this game because i recently beat call of duty. i chose between this and dod:S. this had mroe games, so i bought it. i loved the battlefield 2 game, very fun. but this game is so very lacking. where do i start? no diversity of weapons like cod. what do i mean? the japanese have the stens and brens, the us have enfields, the british have thompsons, bars, and garands. then theres the axis with the mp44 mp40 kar, and kar sniper. theres way to few weapons. theres no online ranking system either. this game isnt NEARLY as fun and battlefield 2. all the sudden bam your dead. with battlefield 2, you get shot, but you have the chance to see the enemy and kill them too. in this game, the hitboxs are terrible too. i snuck up on a guy, with a lee enfield sniper, and at his head, and shoot. nothing. he turns around, with a pistol, and shoots me in the leg, i died. the levels are also incredibaly bland. i only give 2 stars because theres a very wide variety of levels, but they seriosly need to let the players use the full aresenals. not swapping around guns to the japanese that the brits should have, american guns the brits shouldnt have ETC. even the russians dont have the mossin nagat. they just have a heavy support weapon you can fire standing up. its like firing one of those mg-42 standing up, but with no recoil. im super pissed i bought this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Battlefield 1942 The Complete Collection
This is definitely an excellent collection which has provided many long hours of fun for my guild members and I. I would highly recommend this boxed set for anyone who enjoys playing cooperative, multi-player, first person shooter action games. The varied array of weapons, vehicles, terrain and missions will keep you and your friends coming back for more. I give this one an overall rating of 5/5! ... Read more

This game is quite enjoyable.I have finished the first game CD and it was great fun!The second CD was quite challenging at the start being at the fronline action. The game music supplied in a separate CD I have installed in my 6 CD changer in th ecar and the music is very interesting! The game plays very well on an Athlon 2800 chip unsing nVidia 64 MB video card.

5-0 out of 5 stars awsome game
when it comes to world war 2 games, the 2 games that come to mind are battlefield 1942 and call of duty. im gonna say it flat out, buy call of duty. it has a very fun singleplayer story spanning many levels, many diverse weapons(unlike battlefields 10 guns), and great multiplayer. it also has some cool mods out for it.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXTREMELY Great Game
I own both CoD and CoD2, and I can say that they are both top-notchgames.I think that some of the best multi-player maps are included with this game, and I think it's a must for any FPS gamer.

3-0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable even with Technical Glitches
Each of the games reaches a point where, in the words of one of the game's programmers, "poor coding kicks in." Rather than go through each of the points in the games where bugs surface, I'll simply suggest potential buyers go to EA Games' website and flip through the 4 pages of the technical support issues with the Harry Potter games on PC. If you still want to buy the set, then beware:at some point, there you or your kid will be, having a ball, and just about to -- [hey, what the..., why did the screen go black?!]. Caveat emptor.

5-0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun!!!
I am currently playing the sorcerers stone. It is very fun. I like all of the puzzles. One thing that I don't like is that there is no freedom to wander around the castle. It is still very fun though.

5-0 out of 5 stars Understand the history of WWII shooters
Now for ppl saying they played Call of Duty and found it more fun than Medal of Honor, well I would agree but only in terms of graphics and such is COD better. Look at the release dates: MOH was January 2002 while COD wasOctober of 2003 (which is almost 2 years - and a lot can happen in 2 years in the gaming industry). But as someone who played MOHAA when it first came out, I must argue that MOH is freakin' fun. It was MOHAA that started this WWII shooter craze. I guess there is sentimental value for me so I might be biased to be honest. But yeah, obviously COD will try to outdo MOH and I think in a lot of ways they did. But MOH is a classic that everyone should play at least once cuz the soundtracks and missions...unforgettable. This soundtrack is great, evoking memories of Saving Private Ryan and Indiana Jones (when he deals with the Nazis). There were times COD outdid MOH but also when MOH outdid COD. I think if you're a WWII shooter fan or any shooter fan, MOHAA and COD is a must. Ionno, games are relative - but I honestly think MOH is a great shooter all around...the one that started it all. Sure the graphics aren't as great as graphics now, like in FEAR or Half-Life 2 or even Call of Duty, but it's not bad either. I think the PC version is the best version (I also own the PS2 version called MOH Frontline). The expansion packs are cool but like someone else said, if they just combined it all together into one that wouuld've been great but EA has to make money. hehe. Overall, this War Chest is a great deal.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun
MOH was my first first person shooter experience. And I have been hooked ever since.
5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Game
It is the best three games you can buy for a low price. The Allied Assualt and Breakthrough will be kind of easy to play and win. The hardest one is Spearhead. It is worth the money. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars An Example Of How They Treat Their Customers
Remember this is a monthly subscription game. And here is a recent forum post by one of the designers taking jabs at the community:
4-0 out of 5 stars Give it a chance
I've probebly read tons of revews saying how bad the game is or how horrible it has become since NGE, but I say, "At least give it a chance."
3-0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Galaxies -- a n00b jumping on board
Star Wars Galaxies has so much going on for it that it can become overwhelming for a new player. The introduction now has direct interaction with four signature SW characters, which is a HUGE step up from the last version of the game where you had to play for months before you could interact with them. Many of the complicated, user-unfriendly professions are gone, replaced with an easily understandable and attainable profession set. You can actually start out as a Jedi rather than wait weeks upon weeks to maybe get there.

I like the characters and even 'talk' to them. They have their own 'Personalities'. I also like the convinience of not having to use the disk whenever I play.I enjoy this game very much!

3-0 out of 5 stars Bridge is broken
I've spent a lot of time playing this, so I've obviously got my money's worth. There is a nice selection of games and the presentation is quite decent.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best yet with lots of room to improve.
This is the best version of Hoyle cards yet.All games play reasonably well. There is still a lot of improvement needed in the bidding and play of the hands in Bridge, Pinochle, Spades, and Euchre. The new Hoyle Bucks adds some new purpose in trying to win.If you are into playing cards, this is the best bang for the buck. ...
