Tetris (GB) original
I have by accident TWO copies of this original game, one I paid The game that started the puzzle craze
Back when the Game Boy was first introduced, Nintendo had foughten a war to achieve the rights to this game from its Russian Developer. Eventually Nintendo succeeded and this game was the result. Either you love Tetris or you hate it. The game is simplistic in origin, allign a continuous series of falling blocks into horizontal rows. Once in rows, the blocks clear, give you points, and eventually the speed of the falling will increase. Like I said, simple but ingenious. This game is a staple of the video game industry. Also like I said, you either love this game, or you despise it. For those of you who enjoy puzzle games, or for those of you who are patient and like games that test reflexes and brain power, there is no better game than Tetris. If you're an action fan, you'd better look somewhere else fast.

Was introduced to Tetris in 1992 by my daughter and grandson.I quickly became addicted, so much so that I raced out and bought Tetris 2, Tetris Blast and Tetris Attack. While I love all of them my very favorite is Tetris2.As a senior citizen who hates to make decisions I find that this game keeps my reflexes and mental processes sharp by forcing me to make quick decisions and it increases and strengthens the flexibility in my hands. Pretty good
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan stays true to the once popular cartoon series and comic books. Each of the turtles are playable and all of their major enemies have been included. Increasing your life meter can be done by grabbing the turtles' favorite food, pizza. Gameplay is better than average. Each turtle has their appropriate weapon. Every weapon has the same power so the longer weapons of Leonardo and Donatello are the most useful. One button is used for attack and the other for jumping. Jumping seems a bit tight, meaning you can't get too far on a jump. Jumps are best used to go straight up to avoid enemies or making a hop on to the next step up. One other attack is done by crouching and pressing the attack button. This will throw a shuriken. Levels are broken down into stages. When you lose a turtle on a level and have others left you will be brought back to the beginning of the stage you were last on. No continues are offered so you will have to make it through without losing all 4 turtles. Before each level or when a turtle goes down you have the option of selecting another. It is probably best to begin the game with either Raphael or Michaelangelo so you can have the guys with longer weapons for the more difficult levels. Simple Yet Addictive
Fall of the Foot Clan is a side-scroller in its most basic and simple form: this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Unless you have never played a video game before in your life, there will be little if any difficulty completing this one. There are five levels, four turtles, three bonus games, and a handful of enemies. Let me break it down like this: Two hours to kill?
This is a great game, nice big graphics for Gameboy. There are only four or five levels and barely any foot soldiers. You start out each level by picking a turtle to play as, if they die, then you pick another. Its not all that challenging, and it can probably be beaten in a day or a week. Not As Wanted
There are times when the Game Boy Advance games, hasn't actually delivered in its games, compare to the home console games of the Playstation 2, Gamecube, and Xbox. That has definitely been the case with racing games for the system. Although there have been games that have delivered in earlier games for earlier Game Boy systems, there really hasn't been that much of a stretch for handhelds. Need For Speed has definitely been a example. Since the underground series made its mark on the handhelds, it has had a much more difficult time trying to make its fast and furious feat deliver like the consoles have. Can this edition be better than what happened before?
Decent at best
With far more advanced portables out there these days (Sony's PSP and Nintendo's own DS), there are fewer and fewer games being made for the GBA these days, particularly good racers.That's why any GBA owner would hope that EA's Need for Speed: Most Wanted for the GBA is something special indeed, but once you come back to earth you'll realize that it's only decent at best; like many racers for the GBA not named Mario Kart during it's life span.Surprisingly, the game doesn't look half bad most of the time, but the pixelated graphics can mar the tracks, especially when you have to make a sharp turn.The biggest feature of NFS on the console systems is running from the law, and surprisingly, the police AI is actually pretty well done here, even though there's only one police car per race.The career mode is long nicely done here, allowing you to win cash to get new cars and do some upgrades as well, and it's in this department that the game shines.The music is awful however; pretty much a recycled rock/techno mix that's in a repetitive loop, but that's why you have the ability to turn the volume on your GBA down.All in all, Need for Speed: Most Wanted isn't perfect, but for racing fans still holding on to their GBA's, this is worth a look.

FFA
I remember a few years ago playing this game. This was my introduction to the Secret of Mana series even though I believed this to be part of the Final Fantasy series. Maybe they called it this because they didn't know that they were going to make more games with the Mana tree, so no sense in saying FFAII and FFAIII. But the story line is definatly great. You start out as [your name for charecter here] in a forteress where the Dark Lord uses people to play in gladiator like fights. This seems like some of the Final Fantasy games where you start off with normal life for the charecter and then you delve into a rich story line. When you escape the castle, you meet up with a man who was freshly slain by monsters and a girl crying at his side. After talking to her, she tells you that she is looking for an old man. I forget his name since the time it's been, and from there, the story line becomes increasingly better. It was way ahead of it's time where it has plot twists and can bring out emotion in you. I was sad after fighting Medusa (won't say what happened) and at the tree of mana (my lips are still sealed) I don't have this game anymore so I am planning on buying it to beat it again -it's that great! There is also a remake of this game called Sword of Mana for the GBA but has minor changes that are enough for me to shun it because it will ruin my thoughts on one of the most gripping original Game Boy games ever. Buy it now!

Simple graphics and yet lots of fun.
I have really enjoyed playing a series beginnings and this game is no exception. I first thought years ago that this was a Final Fantasy game but instead it is a Mana game like Secret of Mana. I remember playing this game and really liking it. It has a story and the graphics are not so sparse that you do not have to pretend the blue is water and the green is land, but rather when you go onto land, there is texture like trees drawn and a cave opening. If you need color graphics then this and other games of this age will not be your cup of tea. I on the other hand had a great time playing it.

a lot of fun, the first entry in the Mana series
The first thing to mention is that Final Fantasy Adventure is really part of the Mana series (Secret of Mana, Legend of Mana).This is, I believe, the first game in the series with the sequel being the excellent Secret of Mana for the SNES.I suspect that the reason for the name change is simply that Square thought that the Final Fantasy name would sell more copies when released in America.This is an adventure RPG.Read more

Same great play and the graphics are just a tad better.
I liked playing this game as much as the previous legend game. I remember that with each game I was pleasantly surprised that the graphic was getting subtlety better. I really like role-playing games so graphics is not everything to me as long as I do not have to make something up myself to continue the play. Hum, was that water I crossed? No, I do not want to do that; and you don't in this game. Seeing the beginnings of a series you really like can be a cherished experience and in turn a wonderful memory. Therefore, if you do not mind simple graphics, and like role-playing games you will like this game.

Unless your an extreme fan of FF
I got this game a long time ago after I bought number 3. Not to knock anyone who likes it but this is by far the 2nd worst game I have ever played. The game so insanely hard that it wasn't fun anymore. I used game shark for max stats and unlimited of the best weapons, and I still found myself dying over and over. But the story is pretty good. You have to travel through a bunch of different worlds looking for the main characters dad. You get to collect different magi, magic stones. That help you get around to different worlds. In every world their is a beanstalk thing that goes up and they all me in this big area going to the next. Progressing through the game is only hard b/c the enemies are hard, but going in the right direction is great b/c people in towns will always tell you. But unless you are a fan, don't buy this.

Problematic yet strangely attractive, nostalgic
The storyline to Final Fantasy Legend II (Second installment of the SaGa series in Japan, billed as Final Fantasy in the U.S. to boost sales) is interesting, but the characters in the game are impersonal and the game's bland, linear nature will leave modern games yearning for the depth, control, and immersion that today's RPGs give.Also, the game is incredibly easy until the very end, when it becomes frustratingly difficult.You'll have the ability to customize your part in the beginning, my suggestion is 2 mutants and 2 humans, but after that your wiggle room for customization is very small.Read more

this game stinks

They should remake this next
After playing Metroid, Super MEtroid, MEtroid PRime, Fusion, and Zero I realized that the only one I had not played/beaten yet was the Gameboy version of Metroid, MEtroid 2.SO I went on one of my legendary hunts for this and low and behold I found it. A few hours Later I had beaten it and left me with some interesting thoughts. Good game to add to your collection
Now this is a fun game. I tell you what. This is a fun game. I got mine off ebay (sorry amazon but the prices...) anywho the game is really cool. i think theres like 39 metroids you have to kill but the deal is yoru go though the disturbed planet fothe metroid sr388 and have to kill them all. and after you kill a certain amount theres this rumble and the lava in a big shaft room goes down to the next floor and this goes on for like 4 times. When you then get close to the "lordess" metroid -so fine- you have to fight i think 9 new metroids! which is a add on the prevoious 39 so technically theres 48 (49 if you include the queen) anyways then you anilate the lordess and for some reason on my game theres this weird red line on the wall but whatever it goes donw after teh battle and for some ohter reason theres a little excape hole under the lordess. so i guess you can wimp out and excape kinda ruins the point of a boss if you can jsut "escape"?! but oh well after you defeat IT. then a baby metroid hatches (jimminy crickets where do all these things come from!!!! fun never ends with metroid 2 ;) but then you escape the terrifing planet and go to your ship. Not Fun
This game is so stupid it has no good meaning to it. it is no fun.
Not the best game out there
It's easy if your any good at pinball. It's fun and a little challenging. I recommend it as a cheap (not cheesey) gaem for kids and even gamers who enjoy kirby. It's fun for an old game.

Great classic puzzle game for Game Boy
When I first got this game I was a bit disappointed. It looked like a boring line game. Actually it's a fun and addictive game of trying to capture this creature called Qix into a boxed area. It's a very smart idea and I really liked this game a lot. The graphics are very simple, but the game is a classic. You try to make lines and box in the fast moving Qix. I got one question, why don't they make a Qix game for the Nintendo 64?Qix is an awesome game and it is the only one of its kind.You try to fill in so much of a percentage of the screen while avoiding enemies that goaround the edge and along the lines you made and also a huge enemy right inthe center of the screen that goes back and forth. Easy game but extremely fun
This game takes the best elements of Mega Man 2 and 3 on the NES, and puts them together for a gameplay experience you won't soon forget. You've got Rush the robotic dog, energy tanks, and other innovations. Once you defeat the robot leaders, you'll battle a mysterious foe, and then enter Wily's space fortress(see the melting clocks in the background? Sort of boring
This game had all of the action and side scrolling adventure as the first TMNT game for Gameboy, plus much better graphics, detailed backgrounds and far better music. However, the game was so needlessly repetitive and long that it got very boring. There are only five levels to this, very long levels, where you fight off against hundreds of foot soldiers, annoying mousers that chomp through walls and pizza monsters that are tougher than any of the leaders. I do enjoy the fact that this game had Krang with his body! No amount of graphics, challenge or gameplay could keep this long of a game going.

A COOL GAME TO PLAY!
Well you have to remember that Ninja Turtles has a greenish look appearance and not color. But the graphics still kick butt and it's a loada fun to play. Yes it has six levels but it's a cool game to play. I love theninja turtles because they're bunch of ninjas fighting the evil shredder.But i have to admit the 2 meg memory of graphics kicks butt. Nice Game
This game really is a great game unless of course your not into sword fighting turnbased games. Then you should probably steer clear of this one. In my personal opinion this game is very interesting. The more battles you fight the stronger your gladiators get and the more money you get and the better stronger gladiators you can get. I really like this game. Like I said though it's not for everyone, but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

this game is terrible. since it was from lucasarts i thought is would be third person and you woulde run around and kill everyone. boy was i wrong. its turn based wich is stupid!!!!taking turns killing each other?!?!?! whoever thought that up should be shot! the screenshots on the back of the box led me to believe it was a third person hack and slash, the rating says it has blood and gore. very little blood and absolutly no gore. the story line is terrible, apperently there was a big war that just ended so to keep the peace they open up a gladiatore arena. the graphics arent the greates and the gameplay is absolutly terrible. in conclusion this game is a waste of money.

This would be a wonderful game to play no matter how old it is.
I love all the Zelda games so I am partial to giving perfect scores to this series. This was the first Zelda game I had ever played and I was caught from the first time I turned it on and went down to the shore to get my sword and start my adventure into the world of Zelda. The world is large with lots of fun areas to explore and a fun side quest that has you walking all over the world, but wanting what was at the end. I made lots of notes and ended up making a guide for it. This is a timeless game that will endear you as well.

Castlevania
In order to like this game you have to have the love of Castlevania like me.I love Castlevania and even though this game is very slow and you can't do that much, it is Castlevania and I love it.There are only 4 stages and they are pretty straight forward, and Dracula is a big pain.If you grew up with Castlevania, like me, you will appriecate this game and all of Castlevania games because all the stories go together.But if youare just getting into Castlevania stick with the new ones on Playstation.

In 1989, Konami decided it might be a good idea to try putting their classic vampire hunting series, Castlevania, onto a portable console. I don't understand the negative reviews of this game; yes, it requires precise jumping and your whip gets downgraded if you get hit but whip upgrades are commonplace enough that you should be able to maintain your upgraded whip throughout the game, as long as you're not getting hit every 5 seconds.To rate a game poorly because it's a little difficult doesn't make sense to me.Overall it's a great game; fun and challenging. ...
