Underrated classic.
With the Mega Man games achieving high status on the NES, Capcom decided to take advantage of the hand held department and released the very first portable Mega Man game in 1991.Before we go into the GOOD and BAD of this game, let me tell you that this game was the very first Mega Man game I ever completed.So in that respect, this game helped me get into the Mega Man franchise, even though I had played the first two prior to this game (again, this one I beat before them.).Read on or die: My first introduction to Mega Man
This was the first Mega Man game I ever got.The difficulty was hard, but not nearly as impossible as some other reviewer mentioned.The shots do tend to be slower than on its NES counterpart, but it's amazing how well it's transferred to the Game Boy's small screen.Very fun and very challenging, with an excellent ending as well!Heartily recommended to Mega Man fans.

Too hard to be fun or innovative
Take everything wrong with Mega Man 1 and 2 on the NES and you get this. Your fired shots travel WAY TOO SLOW on the Game Boy, and these stages, especially the Fortress and Space Station at the end of the game, are NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE! Plus if you lose in either you have to start over, and that means if you die at the end of the Fortress, at the hands of a Robot Leader, you have to fight the whole way back to them, and any you beat must be beaten again. a frustrating game
I got this game(which I wanted)for my birthday. I was disappointed. I hate the music, I hate the background, I hate the game. It is frustrating because you always have to change characters and if you mess up one time by jumping off something, you have to start all over again!! I thought it was going to be like the movie, but it is about the farthest from the movie you can get. So if you haven't seen the movie, like changing charcters 59 times, and love starting over 'til you're ready to smash the game, get this game.

Cool Game! :)
This game was the first one that I got for my new Game Boy Color.The first few levels can be a bit frustrating, because you don't have all of the charecters, but once you get past level 5(which shouldn't take long)you'll feel better.I would reccomend this game most to kids at least 10 years old.Why?My sister, who is 8, has a bit of trouble playing. One of the Best bmx games ever!!
This game is the bomb ! You can do some of the sickest tricks eh, its ok
As a bmxer myself i refrain from buying these games, but i was going on a trip so i said what the hell? here is what i thought: the music was horrid, the graphics were ok considering it was gameboy, the trick list was high but they kept combos to a limit of 2 (more realistic but not as much fun), i didn't like the fact that the only way to go on to another level was by entering a password. if u forget to write it down or something u cant get to that level. i lost my passwords three times. the choice of characters was good, but their faces should look better. the game was really easy to beat but i think its probably the best game to get but only if u can't ride or something. GO BMX! RIDE HARD OR GO HOME -tj

Good game, needs some features
One of the first games I bought for my GBC was Dave Mura Freestyle BMX.And it was good.The rider was small in the overall scope of the scenes, but the number of tricks, and levels surprised me.Then came Mat Hoffman Pro BMX.And life was better.The rider in Mat Hoffman Pro BMX is much bigger than in Dave Mura's game.There are more levels, different types of levels, and more tricks.When it came to tricks in Dave Mura's game, while there is more than one rider - only color is different in actual game play.In Mat Hoffman's game, each rider has their own unique special tricks.Bottom line is that I far prefer the Mat Hoffman game to the Dave Mura game.Read more

This was one of my fav NES games.
This was the first NES game I ever owned. I loved this verion better then the first one, and it's heaps better then the 3rd or 4th versions.
Pretty good
After defeating the Black Shadow Warriors, Billy and Jimmy Lee joined the Scorpions, a prestige martial arts group, in order to hone their skills. Anderson, the last Shadow Warrior, learns of their success in the Scorpions and murders the instructor, framing Billy and Jimmy in the process. As Billy you must fight your way through eight missions, effectively restoring your family name and proving Anderson's guilt. As a martial arts expert, you can punch and kick in a variety of ways and perform aerial uppercuts and flying kneedrops. You have only your feet and hands to fight with, but the assortment of thugs you confront are armed with weapons such as knives, baseball bats, guns, and chainsaws. The action takes place in and around the subway, on the streets, and at the Scorpion Dojo. At the end of the game, you must face Anderson. If you've got two Game Boys, two copies of the game, and a Game Link Cable, a friend can join in the action as Jimmy Lee. Another good beat-em-up for people who have no time to stay at home and fight.

Very nice similtaneous brawling quest
Back again, Billy and his brother Jimmy are on a quest to save Marian from the evil Shadow street gang. There are several levels with new graphics, moves, bad guys and challenges from the original Double Dragon game. Its a totally new quest, starting in the city, brawling to a heliport and taking a helecopter ride (brawling in it) to an enemy fortress. The game play is a bit odd, because of the back attack, which is basically push B to attact left and push A to attack right fro when enemies sandwitch you. A real downfall to the game is that bad guys can really pound you and not stop until your dead. ... Read more

its ok if u like simpler games
Ok this game is sort of fun but all u can do is farm theres no getting married (as far as i know). You cant relly walk around town u just pick what store u want to go to in the town. Your farm is very big and u can plant anywere on it not just in a cirten place but still its more of a game that you would like to play if u only like the farming aspect in harvest moon, but id still recomned harvest moon 2 or if u got enoguh money harvest moon 3 but over all its an ok game. ... This game is OK!
Why does everyone think this game is so great?? I find it to be just an average game. You start out with three monsters and you must battle people to get more cards. There are only about 20-30 monsters in this game. They each have attack cards and defense cards. If you want to get more cards, you must battle people in these boring looking dungeons. The people follow you and if they catch you, then you have to battle them. Each dungeon has 6 floors, so by the time you are done, you have battled about 30 people!! The battles so get old, that this game will be left on your shelf in no time! Bottom Line.... Don't buy this game unless you are a really big Monster Rancher fan. Even if you are a Monster Rancher fan, I suggest you buy it for Play Station. I these games you get to battle with REAL monsters, not monster cards. If you aren't a fan and you just want a game that involves cards, try Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh ROCKS!

QBert...simply the best in video arcade games!
Q-Bert is simply the best video arcade game out there!I have been hooked on it since Nintendo came out! I am now 38 and I love it even more! My kids are hooked now.It is great for strategy and thinking ahead.You have to plot your moves!I am waiting for them to sell it as a 64 game!

80's Atari Simulation
If you're a fan of the original Q-bert, then this can be just as enjoyable. Only difficulty I ran into was with the direction buttons. The control buttons on the Game Boy point N, S, E, W but Q-bert moves NE, SE,NW, SW. Poor Q-Bert committed suicide quite frequently until I overcame theperceptual inconsistency. The best Castlevania game for the original Game Boy
In the late eighties/early nineties, Konami tried to bring its popular NES series Castlevania to the Game Boy in the form of a game called Castlevania Adventure. Unfortunately, they created a monster. The character was slow, getting hit weakened your whip, platform jumping was brutal, there were no secondary weapons, and the control was blocky. It was one of the biggest blunders in the series. Not long after, Konami tried to redeem themselves with a second Game Boy Castlevania. How did they do this time? great game but almost a copy
this is a very good game.if you like donkey kong country 2.the diffrencesstart on the first boss.this boss is diffrent the krow will come from the right.you wait for the egg to stop bouncing jump over him and hit him with the egg. same at ghost krow.klaver is a sword in lava.this boss is pretty much the same.but you jump over crocidale heads instead of hooks.and you shoot him with a cannon.klubba is not in this game atsept at the toll. you do not get to fight him as a boss.kackel is not in this game eithter they replace him with a themepark level called crazy roller coaster. for king zing bee is much more calleging when you try to hit himmore bees appaer.ok the of the game captin k rool.ok this guy is pretty weak for hte boss of the game.you could beat him on your first try this game is very fun so if you buy this,Read more

Just not the same as it was on the old Atari
The new versions of this game lose a lot since you don't have the precise control that you had when it was on the Atari.Using a gamepad control is far different than the paddle control of old.

Who cut the cheese? Super Off Road did!

They still sell this?
This is an OLD game. I have fond memories of this one! Basically, it's a rather simple fighting game with "gods" (Read: Monsters) battling it out for world supremecy. I guess the hook is in the characters, which kind of gets lost on the small screen. If you're looking for a more modern fighting game, and have a GameBoy Color, try Street Fighter Alpha.
