5-0 out of 5 stars the most addicting game on the planet!
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 series is by far the best RPG available. The play value alone makes up for the "primitive" graphics and sound. It never gets boring, it is far more satisfying than any of them "Blackjack" or "Tetris" cheapies played by old ladies on the bus to the nearest casino!

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Game, Too Easy!!!!!!
This game was a very big disappointment. It's not that it wasn't fun.It was fun.The problem is that it was too easy.I finished the whole game in four hours. It has a beginning, a middle and an end.The next time you play, it's exactly the same. The stuff is all hidden in the same places and the exact things happen in the exact way. There is only one level, it doesn't get harder each time you play. Take my advice and don't buy this game!Watch a Spongebob cartoon instead.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mario golf is the best game for gameboy period.
this game is awesome. it is a very very addicting game. the grafics are great, gameplay out of sight, there are so many things that you can unlock but i wont tell you. the more courses you win the better it is for your drive, control and the stuff you can unlock. i highly recommend you buy this game even if u dont like golf that much.

5-0 out of 5 stars Golfing, Mario, and RPG combine
This game is absolutely fantastic. With excellent graphics, a very easy learning curve, and simple play control, anyone can pick up and enjoy this game. Beyond these though, is the game play. Not only do you travel from club to club, testing your skill against people, but every match you play increases your number of experience points. At certain intervals, your level increases, allowing you to better one of your statistics. You could increase your maximum driving distance, adjust your shot height, or take care of that annoying slice you may have. Starting out with only a minimal amount of characters, you can earn more by winning championships. This game has an incredible amount of depth to it. By no means should it be overlooked. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Extremely fun, but very simple to beat
Knockout Kings is an extrememly fun game for about an hour. That's how long it took me to beat. In career mode, you can choose a name for your fighter, design your fighter, and choose his class (heavy-weight, light-weight). The first time you play this game, it's a bit challenging, but after a couple of fights it gets easier and easier. The part I hate most about this game is that all you have to do to win the fight is press 'B'. Oddly, I stil find this game very fun to play because of it's great graphics and up close and in the action fighting. I would recommend this as a first Gameboy Color game to kids 6-9 that aren't very aware on how to play a Gameboy. However, if you are an experienced gamer, Knockout Kings is definitely not for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but quickly beaten.
I greatly enjoyed this game when I first bought it.The trouble is that it is easy to beat, and quickly gets boring. If you don't mind playing the same thing over and over, this is a great game.Otherwise, I would recommend renting, not buying this game.

A lot of people are saying this game is not good for young kids because they need to be able to read first and by the time a child can read they have outgrown Bob the Builder. Not true!My son is 5 and can read and he still LIVES for Bob the Builder!!!This game is great and lots of fun.Well worth it for the 5-7 year old range.(My daughter is 7 and likes this game as well.)

This is a great item the person I bought it for LOVED IT!3-0 out of 5 stars Not well thought out.
My five year old loves Bob the Builder and just inherited his brothers game boy. I thought this game would be perfect for him. The first problem is that you need to know how to read in order to play it. Since BTB is geared towards the preschool crowd, that seems weird that they would require you to do any reading.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Game For GameBoy Color.
I got this game for Christmas and I love it. It has Six different games each with a different charater. THe whole idea is to help the thornberry's win is awards and you have to help them by beating all six games. ANd if they dont win you can do it the next year, which is just a different skill level. You acn save your game if you dont have time to finish it. Buy this game it is the best!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Ok for younger kids
I bought this game for my 5 year old as a Christmas present.By New Years, he had it completed. It's a little on the easy side. Now he doesn't play it very much because he has already figured it out. There are some games which took him months to even get through them half way (like Rugrats or Toy Story 2).The only exiting level is where you have to photograph the animals then find the "passageway" to the top of the mountain where the "Yeti" appears. That's the only one he had a little trouble on. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Helps teach scoring
This is great game I have had it since i was 11 or 10 and now im 15 and i just started playing it again. I am playing it again because i am trying out for my high school tennis team and this game really teaches you the rules and the scoreing and its really fun!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Gamebay Game EVER!!!
I have owned this game for a long time and it never gets boring. I first got it when I had a Gameboy Color. Now I have a Gameboy Advance SP and I still play it more than any other games I have for the Gameboy Advance (such as Mario Kart or Pokemon Emerald). If you are thinking about getting this game I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend getting the N64 version and a Transfer Pak. Although the game is awesame, it doesn't do too well graphically speaking and seeing the character you made in 3D and playing with it against your friends makes Mario Tennis the best Multiplayer game ever. I have been playing this game for over 5 years and it's still my favorite game. Based on reviews I've read on "Mario Tennis Advance" I would not recommend getting that game. I have not played it, but everyone who gave it a good review had only played it a few times and mentioned how easy it was. The cons mentioned how it paused every time someone used a power shot. In my opinion, it's the same as the Gameboy Color version except with slightly better graphics and "special" powers that take away from the game. If you're looking for a game you can enjoy for months, I'd highly recommend this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mario Tennis: Best Game for the Game Boy EVER!!
I first played Mario Tennis at my friends house, on his N64. It was pretty fun, difficult at first, but I got the hang of it. Aiming the ball is very tricky at first (I can't get my dad to figure it out), but after a few hours you'll be aiming as if it were natural. I didn't have an N64 at the time, so I bought the Game Boy version. At first I was disappointed by the small selection of characters, but when I started playing the Mario Tour (the actual game, not the practice or Mini game) I really enjoyed it. Now I've beaten the game and am half-way through playing as a girl. If you have an N64, I highly recommend getting the N64 version and a transfer pak too. The transfer pak doesn't cost much (about $15 if you buy it new) and it lets you transfer the character you created on the Game Boy game to the N64 game. The graphics are much better on the N64, but there is no "Mario Tour" (the best part of the Game Boy version). If you transfer your charcter to the N64, you can win tons of trophies in the N64 version and from all the games you play to get the tropies, you'll gain tons of experience, making you even better. I've gotten my character so good, my friends call it a "cheat character", even though it's perfectly normal. I recommend this game over the N64 game even though it's graphics aren't as good, because the game is so much more fun and has so much more to do. This is definately the best game for the Game Boy ever and I'm suprised it hasn't done better in sales. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very unique Gameboy title!
Wow, what a refreshing Gameboy title. This is unlike anything out there. I wish there were even more games like this one. To sum it all up, you're in control of the "gang" and you're out to solve a mystery. The mystery of the missing jewels to be precise. Each character is off exploring a different part of the mansion and you can switch characters at any point during the game. So you can control Freddy, Daphne, Velma or Scooby + Shag. As you explore the mansion you'll acquire useful items and clues to help you in your quest to solve the mystery. Theres a fair amount of humor in the game and some clever thinking will help you make use of the items you find. This is not your typical run, jump and shoot game, this is a true old-school adventure game with a great little plot. Its really nice to see something like this available for the Gameboy, I think older audiences will really appreciate it. The graphics and sound and great too considering this is a Gameboy game. Scooby fans and Adventure fans will most certainly want to check this title out! Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

1-0 out of 5 stars frustrating for little kids
My son wanted this because he is a big Scooby Doo fan, however, he was very disappointed with the game. The problem is that you have to be able to read and understand the clues given in order to play the game.He just started kindergarten and can not read yet. This may be a great game - I'm not sure. But if your child can not read then I would not recommend this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Gameboy
If you are a Scooby Doo fan, then you need to add this to your collection. It is a very fun game for the Gameboy system. Not too difficult to the point of frustration. To me, a game should be fun and challenging, not frustrating like some games, and this game will challenge you without the frustration. If you are looking for a nice game for a child, young adult, or yourself then I would recommend this for your Gameboy. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Big Disappointment; Difficult to Play
Initially my son and I had a difficult time even moving the machines. But he mastered it, and really loves playing alone.5-0 out of 5 stars Exciting and Entertaining
I bought this game for my son for Christmas-along with his first video game (Gameboy Color)not really knowing how he was going to get along with it.Well, much to our suprise, he loves this game! His daddy and I have to "make" him put it down. It's a "nobody looses" type of game. For a child only being 4yrs. old, this was the perfect choice. It has even got self explanitory info. in it that helps the kids follow directions from "George the Foreman".He tells you what to do and where to drive to.Very nice game- hope the next choice we make is as good as this one was.Very highly recommend this.

4-0 out of 5 stars My Pre-K Loves It
First off, let me just mention that this game was designed with very young children in mind, so I'd say that anyone over the age of maybe around 7 will find the game insanely easy. Basically the game revolves around top-view control of several different Catepillar trucks & tractors, which you control to complete a task to beat the level. As an example, in one that I recently played with my 4-year-old, we had to use a tractor to pick up logs, drive them over to a location where a bridge is being built, and press a button to drop the logs in place, thus making part of the bridge. Repeat three more times, picking up logs in different locations that little contruction guys point out. Basically, he seems to think it's really cool to control all the different styles of equipment, and the variety of settings helps to keep things somewhat interesting (in one phase you are building bridges, on another you are working on a farm, etc). Even though he really likes the game, I had to take away a star due to the repetitiveness of the game - most levels consist basically of "Drive here, press button. Drive there. Press button. Repeat." Even though the equipment and settings change, interest is lost after a while because there's little variety in gameplay. He keeps going back to it though, so it can't be that bad :) ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A Disgrace to Harry Potter Games
I'm sorry but I really do not like this game. I got it hoping it would be even a little like its gamecube counterpart, but it wasn't. It was extremley confusing and I still have no clue how to do the spell things, even now. I have gotten stuck at Aragog and have no freaking idea how to get past him. And what are those blue rock things????? Everytime I got near one I'd have to fight an elf or something, which lowered my energy so I couldn't beat bosses. This game is so hard and so stupid I feel it's a disgrace to the other Harry Potter games, which were all very good. If you have another system, get this game for it, but if not, consider something else. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Dunno why, but this game scared me...
Poor graphics. It's scarily similar to the SUPER-CRAPPY Powerpuff Girls GBC games. It also scared me somehow, in a nightmarish way.4-0 out of 5 stars Good game
THQ's latest Game Boy Color release, The Simpsons: Night of the Living Tree House of Horror, is seven levels of spooky action ripped straight out of a decade's worth of Halloween specials. The family's souls are trapped in Bart's tree house, and the only way to save them is to guide Bart, Maggie, Lisa, Homer, and Marge safely through each of his or her own uniquely nightmarish scenarios. As can be expected from a TV license, this particular Simpsons product is an action game. However, unlike the usual fare of repetitious platform-jumping rehashes, Night of the Living Tree House of Horror packs seven different side scrollers into a single game. Each level borrows its name from a specific Halloween episode and has its own unique gameplay gimmick. In the first scenario, Bad Dream House, Bart must explore each room of the Simpsons' house, vanquish haunted creatures with his slingshot, leap across sludge pits, and collect enough keys to save the family dog from a demonic broom. Level two, Maggie-Fly, sends you soaring through the air as a fly-mutated Maggie and tasks you to navigate her safely across a bug-infested kitchen. Things really heat up in level three, Plan 9 from Outer Springfield, a top-down shoot-'em-up starring family mom, Marge Simpson. Presented in a style reminiscent of Konami's Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Marge is a bubble-blaster-packing zombie hunter who'll have to get through hordes of possessed Springfield denizens and zombie versions of Apu, Moe, Mayor Quimby, and Krusty if she wants to make it home safely. Later levels cast Homer as a vampire hunter in a Castlevania-style mansion romp, a Homer robot as a toxic-waste purifier with a heart, Lisa as a Solid Snake-inspired operative in a stealthy school rescue, and the apelike King Homer in a Rampage-style wrecking frenzy. Each level in The Simpsons: Night of the Living Tree House of Horror is a game unto itself, which makes for a rather pleasing and varied experience. Surprisingly, though, each scenario is also a nice example of the particular genre it lampoons. Bart's initial jump-happy scenario lends a nod to Nintendo's Super Mario Bros., while other levels pay glowing tribute to Sega, Konami, and Atari releases such as Kolibri, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and Rampage. The game is not entirely free of flaws, however. The game uses an unwieldy password system, making it unnecessarily tedious to continue a game. The game itself is incredibly short and can be completed in less than three hours. Also, nonhuman enemy sprites are limited to poorly animated spiders and bees, which makes them jarringly out of place when compared with the rest of the game's sprites. Despite a few ugly spiders, the majority of the action in The Simpsons: Night of the Living Tree House of Horror is colorfully drawn, highly detailed, and smoothly animated. Bart, Maggie, Lisa, and the rest of the family all have their own trademark body characteristics, as well as at-rest animations that include Bart's patent shrug and Maggie's clumsy pacifier drop. The rest of the Springfield menagerie is present as well. Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Monty Burns, Waylon Smithers, Groundskeeper Willy, Principal Skinner, and a whole host of recognizable characters gives the game the kind of satisfaction that only familiarity with a phenomenon can offer. The Simpsons' house, the Burns' mansion, and the Springfield streets are also re-created as well as can be expected on a 3-inch color screen.4-0 out of 5 stars WOW! A SIMPSONS GAME!
I don't know how long I've owned this game but, I think it's been a really long time, there's 7 levels of non-stop fun, the levels get harder and harder, but, I have a book that will let me go to any level, well anyways I'm glad they made this game it's really fun well bye!!!!!!!:) ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars I leaned the hard way
This is a really fun game, and the graphics and sound are great... only problem is that is is not GBA SP compatible (I don't know about regular GBA). It loads fine and looks good, but because it works on a motion sensor chip, and GBC cards point down, and GBA SP cards point up, up is down and down is up, and right is left and left is right. You COULD learn to compensate for this, but what a pain!

Overall this is a great game. The controls are really hard at first but you get used to it. It has great graphics but the people are hard to see. Sometimes you get lost and he walks slow. So you might should buy this game if you can stand the controls.

3-0 out of 5 stars LITTLE GREEN ...
This game did not make a conversion to the Gameboy from the Playstation very well. The graphics are poor. The gameplay is slow and dull. The sounds of the game are okay probably its best attribute. But overall this game is rather disappointing. You would figure that 3DO would improve on the Army Men series after a few releases instead they havent improved at all if anything gotten worse. And most importantly Im getting tired of these little green ... called army men. Folks do yourself a favor and stay away from this game unless you can find it for less than 5 bucks. What a drag!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
This game has a lot of weapons and ok graphics. It's kinda hard to control Sarge, but you'll get the hang of it. Morters are awsome and the sooner you have onethe better. The game is mostly just blowing tan troops, but there is a mission to complete. It didn't take me long to beat the game. In all a great game with ok graphics. ... Read more

You must NOT quit the levels! The first 3 levels ARE lame. But after that the game gets interesting.

Background info:3-0 out of 5 stars Alright.
I'd have to say that this game is not that bad, but is not that good either! The graphics are mostly good. The only really bad thing is that it is so easy! I beat it in two days. I didn't play it till a month after I got it because it has no storyline and is hard to get into. There are way better games out there, but maybe you will like it better than I did. ... Read more
