Marble (not-so-fun)ness
The game I've played is not for color, rather the older version. Perfect recreation of a Nintendo game
This is an original "race" to the finish, because you play as a marble and go down a 3D course full of traps, hazards like puddles of acid, vacuums, enemy marbles, slinkies that eat your marble and several challenges. This is not a game for children or anyone who can get frustrated easily, because first of all the controls are not where you press down and your marble goes down, when you press down your marble goes diagonally down and left! Secondly, if you fall far enough, your marble will break and crumble, but fear not, because you have unlimited "marbles," however you are limited by time. Once your time runs out, that's it! There are only five courses in the game. This game is a perfect recreation of the original Nintendo game. There is a two player linked mode, so two players can race each other down the course.

Difficult to play
For me, the bottom line is: this game is difficult to play on a gameboy.The original arcade game used a trackball and it was a very fun and exciting game.This does not translate well to how a gameboy is played.It is difficult to move the marble around 360 degrees.I do not recommend this game. ... 3.5 stars - better than people say it is
The Castlevania series is, without question, one of the greatest two-dimesional side-scrolling platformer action game series of all time. Unfortunately, the series had its share of blunders, too, one of which being the first entry on the Game Boy - the game had an extremely slow character, jerky play control, and virtually no replay value. Fortunately, the second Game Boy entry renewed my faith in the series having potential on a portable console. I got a chance to play this a few years back, and to be honest, I didnt like it. I felt the gameplay to be VERY SLUGGISH, and just outright boring. Where did they go wrong?
You play as a chick. Okay, that's the absolute best part of the game. The music is pretty good but the play-control is very sluggish. The game just seems too shallow. I hope Sonia returns in a game that can do her justice, after all, she IS the very fisrt Belmont (according to Konami) generation-wise. ... Read more

Review for Men in Black
Ok, Men in black is...well...ok. Not the greatest game in my collection, but still not the worst either. It doesn't have very good graphics, and the sound quality isn't the best either. Control is suprisingly good, and replay is not much boring as the first time. Overall, it's OK. One of the worst games I ever played.
This is easily one of the worst games I have ever played. The graphics are unpolished and lack detail, and the controls are terrible. I hate this game, and there are only six short levels.

tony hawk series has come a LONG way
Wow--this game is really bad.I remember it being pretty pathetic the first time I played it a couple years back, but after getting TH4 on the GBA, I realized this game isn't worth a buck. This game really bad!
I bought this game for my game boy at [a local store] for [money]. This game is not even worth [money]. I brought the game home and I put it in my game boy. I played it for 5 minutes and I lost intrest in it. The graphics stunk. Every Time time you do a trick like an Indy, they stop the game and say congratulations! You did an Indy. You only get 3 points and they stop the game for a couple of seconds and then you get to go back to the game. Their are only a couple of tricks you can do and it always says you did an indy. I also beat this game in 5 minutes. It is not worth it. Save your money and buy a better game!

The challenging THPS
I got this game on my birth day,and as soon as I played it , I loved it.This game is VERY addictive. The graphics are't the best either,the corses a fine but the skaters...thats a different story. The skaters all drop in 'regular' stance,they are mostly one color,and there arms are similar to the Power Puff girls.This game is also challenging,unlike THPS2,the tricks are much harder to land. There are abunch of tricks, but at the same time, not that many.Now I average over 1000 points with tony hawk,1000 points its not that much in other video game, but in this its awsome.I highly sugest buying this game.(also check out my review about THPS2 for the GBC) ... if there was a lower star i would choose it
this game was unbelived to be the most anoying game i have ever played.i hate the jumping and the runing around you have to do.when it says action no theres none all u do is swip a sward and they walk in to you thats why you need never buy this game.its up to you but thats the truth.when i heard the story line i thougth it would be good save your self from the castle gain your trown back all bull dont buy unless you want to waste money.gameboy color please try this time

This Game Roks
This is one of the best rpg games for gbc i have ever played!! the weapons and armor are awsome. the worst thing about this game is that you cant save until youre at a sertain spot and its really hard to get past the dungeon but after that you save and the game gets easier. its not one of those games that youll just beat while youre stuck in traffic thats for sure! i beat it in about 2 months with tips and hints you should really get this game

This game looks a lot better on the cover than it actually is. The graphics are boring, you can't save until you get to a certain point, the plot is non-existent, the whole game is just confusing. I've Missed this Game, Glad I Found It Again
I had this game many years ago on 5.25" floppies.I wasn't able to successfully transfer it to another format, so I've been without for quite some time.I found the GameBoy Color version here in Amazon, and ordered it.It's just like the original PC game I bought many years ago.I won't take the time here to describe the game.The game is just as good (and irritating!) and I remembered.The only flaw is that the package had absolutely no instructions in it.Fortunately, I knew how to play the game, but I had to experiment a little to figure out how to select the various types special lemmings to get what I needed done....diggers, builders, etc.The hardest thing to figure out was how to nuke the level so I didn't have to wait several minutes to just run out of time after I had all except a few blockers out.I'm glad this version has the first 10 levels as easy levels to experiment with the different types of lemmmings.It helped refresh my memory and gave me a chance to get used to it again.I'm sure if I did some searching, I could probably find instructions.If you already know the game, then the lack of instructions is no big problem.I'm looking forward to working on the many levels for some time to come.

Wonderful puzzle strategy game
Lemmings games are my all-time favorite. This gameboy game is just like the computer lemmings games. You have little lemming men who walk around and follow the leader. You must get as many as specified to the exit safely in the alloted time. You have different tools to help you, such as builders, diggers, stoppers, floaters, bashers etc. Each level is different and you are given a specific number of certain tools. You have to figure out which tools to use and when. For example, on one level, if you have to get from one mountain to another, you could build a bridge, however, while the bridge is being built by one lemming, the others will fall off the end if you don't stop them somehow.It is easy to stop them if you have a stopper, but what if you don't? You might have to dig a hole for the rest to fall into until the bridge is completed. That is the challanging part of this game.I highly recommend this game to those who enjoy logical thinking and planning.

Great Game
I loved this game.Its great because it is challenging.It takes a lot of strategy and skill to play this game and thats why it is so fun.It can get a little frustrating and if u make one wrong move you might have to do the the level over and that can get frustrating. Really great and simple
I like Metal Gear Solid, and this is a simple version of it (but as fun) It's challenging, as well as with a lot of stratergy. Fun, especially for the Christmas season.

if you like Metal Gear Solid you will like this
this is another stealth game by Konami but with The Grinch instead of Solid Snake, it plays just like the Gameboy Color Metal Gear Solid game, you sneak around trying to steal presents, get crazy gadgets and so on, this type of game is perfect on the handheld because you can play it in short spurts

Great game, looking for a sequel
Judging from the hours my 7-year-old son has put into finishing all the levels of this game, I'd have to judge it to be the perfect video game. It's not an action game but a puzzle or logic game. The two of us played together on many screens, moving the ramps and tiles to make the players get from one point to another. One review complained about not being able to interfere with the characters as they are running the course, but it seems to me that this is just like computer programming. You set up the system then watch it run to figure out what goes wrong. Then you move some stuff around, maybe even reconceiving the whole plan, and try again. The logic skills it exercizes are evident. We played on the PC, not the nintendo, but our graphics were great. Maybe the Nintendo port is lousy, but it's a shame if it is, because this is a great game. I'm looking for a sequel.

My son literally said this game is (...)
After we read the directions ect., my son, who is 8, went to his room to play this new game.In a matter of a few minutes he came to me to say that this was (...).I was offended by his review, but after he left for school, I tried it myself and have to agree.He enjoys Super Mario and Mario Tennis.

Elmo is so cute, and fun too!!
This game is so cute.A little on the easy side up to the laststage.I can't get past it!!I was not an avid player until recently.I am new to this stuff.I treated myself to a game boy color and love the Elmo game.It is so cute and very colorful.Each stage is easy to figure out.I recomend this game.

I bought my 4 year old daughter a Gameboy recently and she became very frustrated with the typical games (Ms. Pacman, Mario, etc.) because shehadn't developed her coordination well enough yet to go very far in them.So I got this game hoping it would be easier to manuever. I'm glad I did.It is easy for her to move Elmo and jump over obstacles. And it is more"forgiving" in not taking away his lives so quickly. She isthrilled now that she can complete levels and move on to the next one byherself. I know she will soon become bored with it when she becomes moreadept at the Gameboy controls, but it has served the purpose that I wanted- an easy game that makes her like playing her Gameboy.

If you liked the movie, you'll probably like this. There are only 8 levels in this game. You'll need to go around collecting stuff to get to the next level. For ex: laundry for the first level; boat race, car race, escape through the sewers, etc. I only gave it three stars because this game is to easy, I beat the game the third time I played it.

The great classic horror game, made more playable!
I've always loved the arcade and NES versions of this game. The classic sidescrolling action, the medieval fantasy horror, the bizarre and hideous monsters, the creepy and catchy music... I've always loved just about everything about Ghosts 'N Goblins. The only aspect I didn't like so much was that, in some ways, it was just too ridiculously frustrating. Well, I actually think the GBC version is superior to the NES version; the main improvement being the save system. Since it's such a long game (that you have to complete twice to actually win at), it's nice to be able to take breaks from the challenge instead of trying to beat the game in one go. Also, I'm glad that some of the really tough, quick enemies like the red demons, and the dragons in this version can be destroyed with a handful of shots (instead of about 15 million shots like in the NES version). To put it simply, I think this is a better version of an already great game.

N OK GAME. i have not actully played it yet and it will probably stink like poo-poo. it may be half-way decent, but probably not, it most likely stink like poo-poo.

Ghosts N Goblins - Very addicting!
Well, this is an oldie, but a goodie! Ghosts n goblins hits back to theold days, I remember throwing in quarter after quarter into the arcadeversion, and stayed up every night playing it on my NES.. Ohh, the good olddays *sighs* Now, you can get this onthe gameboy color! This game is sofun and addicting, I just bought this today, and my face has been glued tothe gameboy screen! The musick is pretty catchy as well, plus everytime youcomplete a stage, you are rewarded a password, so when you die, you don'thave to start from level one.. Pretty good idea, if you ask me. Great Spawn game!
This game is great for spawn fans or just for people who like action games. The graphics are alright for gameboy. also the music in the game is great and classic. there isn't much of a storyline to the game though which kinda sucks but overall i think the game was worth the money i bought it for. some of the things you can do in the game are pretty cool because on one of the levels you get to ride a motorcycle! Also they include characters from the spawn comics like clown, tremor, and overtkill and there are other characters in there. the game is a little bit easy but you can set the difficultys back and forth. Also the voices in the game are awesome. gameplay is very easy but once again just set the difficulties back and forth. i only gave this game four stars because there wasn't a storyline like i said and there are only 4 stages with 2 bosses in each i think. well overall it's a good game and there is a cheat menu if you wanna cheat.

Pretty good midless action romp
Being a huge fan of the Spawn comic, I saw this for 20 bucks so I decided what the hell and bought it.I found it a lot more enjoyable than the Playstation Spawn game, and a lot more fun.The graphics and gameplay are pretty basic for a GameBoy side scroller, but its a good bit of fun plus the voiceovers for the characters can be creepy at times which is real cool.One of the better comic book games and GameBoy games I've played in a while.

challenging
This is a fun but mind stimulating game that makes you think about how you can outwit your opponent even if its the computer!!My children and I like to take it with us everywhere.

A throwback--a clever but simple strategy game
If you can pick this up cheap, and you have either a Game Boy Advance or Gameboy Color, get it.Its a fairly clever puzzle game similar to those tile puzzles many of us had as kids where you had to drop geometric shapes into a frame.Certain shapes block other shapes from being dropped, and points are awarded for filling spaces and deducted for left over tiles.The computer opponent is hard (perhaps too hard... which is why I only gave 4 stars) and occasionally takes too long to move. But the game is fun, and yet elegantly simple, at the same time.

Best strategy game ever
I got this as a present last Christmas, it's a game I'd never heard of.I was instantly addicted.I especially enjoy the Level Game play, where it records your progress and gradually makes the game harder.You can customize your play - how many rounds per game, whether you want to use the timer, etc.The only thing that is aggravating is that when playing against the computer sometimes the computer takes a long time to decide on a move if you don't use the timer.Anyone who likes strategy games such as tetris has to try this one.I enjoy tetris too, but this is even better. ...
