5-0 out of 5 stars Aaron Walsh's Simtower Review
I love the Simtower game. And even though the game can be hard at times, it is very fun. I just wish that Simtower was Windows XP Compatible.

4-0 out of 5 stars An oldy but a goody.
I think Sim Tower suffered by virtue of the fact although it was highly inventive, engaging and fun; it looked old fashioned, awkward and silly in a short space of time.
5-0 out of 5 stars SimTower
SimTower is a really great game, but the graphics for people really stink. They are just like pixeled black dots-and when they are red they are angry, if they are blue, they are given a specific name-and the movie places need more movie options. Plus you need to put elevators for higher floors--from 45 to 100 (if you ever reach it)or more. Overall, it is very fun, but don't expect it to have very good graphics! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Son loves it.
We were looking for a game for the PC for my brainy 8 year old. Most games for his age cause boredom, but so many "older" games have violence we dont want for him. This was the perfect balance! He has been on the computer with this game from the first day he received it (almost a week ago) and has enjoyed hours of play. As, parents, we are pleased to have found something we highly approve and something he likes...cannot wait to purchase the other Odyssey games! ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Creatures: Exodus PC
It's an interesting game but, the norns aren't like real animals I've seen at the zoo or on pbs science programs. They can't stand being next to moren than 1 other norn. Other then mating they have nothing to do with their own children. If a parent is tired and her baby kisses her or gets next to her she hits them which damages their internal organs. She won' even hold or rock her own babies. Other than humans I know of no other real animal that is such a poor parent. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever
I love this game.It is almost impossable to find games that DON'T have CGI in them.I don't want to play pixelated characters from a computer screen.I want to see live action actors that you can manipulate and have talk to people. This game really is a great deal of fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Do do DO do DOO dooooooo
Okay, you're NOT Fox or Scully, BUT they make their little appearances throughout the game as does Skinner. This was one of the first adventure games I ever played so at the time it seemed pretty difficult. In retrospect, it might seem a bit easier but still the same engrossing game. Lots and lots of investigating, searching for hotspots and all that.4-0 out of 5 stars A good mystery game for X-Philes
This was not the best mystery/adventure game I've ever played, and I'm not even a big fan of such games to begin with, but I am a serious X-Phile.Despite the seven CDs full of Full Motion Video than make up the game, it wasn't a whole lot like being in an X-Files episode.Instead, it was more like being one of those "other agents" who make brief appearances two or three times per season. You actually have to do some of the tedious legwork to collect evidence instead of having it conveniently handed to you after the commercial break.Of course, the up side to that is a more immersive, believable feel to the game and a feeling of accomplishment when you finally do spot the crucial clue.Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars A Little-Known Classic
This game had a hard time being widely accepted, as it came out at a time when the gaming industry was hyping cutting edge graphics, and more thoughtful (but less graphically exciting) games like this were basically ignored.
3-0 out of 5 stars Lame
The stereotypes are only mildly irritating. Germans are fat, French are snobs, Brits are chatty, etc. The American is Indiana Jones of course (what else?)
5-0 out of 5 stars The best computer game ever?
I've owned this game for two years, and still play it on my iMac. It is timeless and THAT good, with excellent characterizations, well-thought out plots and timelines. The game is so unusual, as it has separate timelines going on at the same time; i.e. depending where you are on the train as Robert Cath, you may/may not hear certain conversations and interactions between characters. The characters will interact with each other and go about their business regardless of whether you are in "ear-shot" or not, yet if you approach characters to interact, you may get different responses, depending on what you have done or haven't done in the game, etc. A beautifully conceived game by Jordan Mechner, creater of the Prince of Persia games. Although this game won accolades upon release, it wasn't incredibly well-received, and the Smoking Car Productions (Mechner) that produced the game folded quietly after the game's release.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Muliplayer game
I found the single player to be rather lacking and unoriginal, but SoFII still offers a fun multiplayer experiance, I even got my Dad playing!A good game, but more one to go play at a friend's than buy yourself...

5-0 out of 5 stars One Of The Best!
Soldier Of Fortune II has to be one of the best online FPS's for the Mac!There are a lot of weapons to choose from, lots of maps, many different gameplay options, and numerous voting options. The replay value is incredible...I had this game since day one and I'm still playing! The only bad thing about SOFII is that its very demanding.Make sure you have the hardware before you buy it.I reccomend 1GHZ proccessor or higher for good performance.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent FPS for OS X
The other reviews here give a good idea of what the game consists of, so I won't re-run that information. It's your basic first-person-shooter with lots of action, lots of firepower, lots of body count; and as some other reviewers have noted, lots of gore. If you like fps's, you'll probably enjoy this one. There's nothing too new about it. It's the same old you-against-tons-of-bad-guys thing. The comment I wanted to make is that I have switched to a pure OS X Jaguar environment with no 'classic' MacOS running. This game works perfectly in my new environment with one caveat: you have to manually change one setting in the video controls or you will have intermittent crashes. The change is extremely easy to make. Just go to www.macplay.com tech support section and it's well explained. Once you've done that fix, you're in for hours of spewing hot death. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Challenging and addictive!
MahJong is a an ancient Chinese tile game that was adapted for the American market in the early 1920's and today several varieties are available as computer games.I first taught myself to play this fairly simple game of tile pairing in an online game room. The beauty of using your own game CD is not having to deal with online chat rooms, and web crashes.EMPEROR'S MAHJONG is especially appealing due to the challenge of progressively difficult game play with a 'prize' awaiting the victorious.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars One Problem with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an amazing game, graphic and gameplay wise. You learn many easy spells such as lumos, flipendo, and incedio, by attending classes and following a patter with your wand. The controls are very easiily customized, and the quidditch is awesome. The graphics setting can be changed so that your PC (or mac) can run the game. One problem i have been having with Harry is thatwhen you finish the Lumos challenge and begin to head for the Potions challenge, my game unexpectedly quits. I do not know anything about the second harry potter. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars "insert CD" problem
I was excited that BG2:ToB was finally released for the Mac, and I rushed to order a copy. However, after installing it and trying to play, I keep getting messages "Please insert CD ...". When I insert the requested CD, the computer reads it and then kicks it out, repeating the "Please insert CD ..." message. It's not a problem with unreadable discs. Even if I insert the correct CD before starting the game -- so that it clearly appears on the desktop -- the game kicks it out and asks me to insert it. I've emailed MacPlay support about it, but no word back. 5-0 out of 5 stars Finally released for mac
The game I've been waiting for for about a year and a half is finally out! Macplay finally got around to porting it to mac, and this time it isn't just a rumor. I've seen it in the mac store in my malll, and I'm buying it as soon as I have the chance.

5-0 out of 5 stars I've Seen it, and it is Beautiful :-P
This entire storyline is awesome.Throne of Bhaal, the final chapter, is going to be nothing short of amazing. My room mate has a PC and owns TOB, so I've seen the story and the graphics.Graphically the same deal as Shadows of Amn, but that's no complaint.SOA was gorgeous. As for gameplay, turn your character into a demigod.Everything becomes fodder for your party!Only problem is, macplay says they aren't porting Throne of Bhaal. After searching around, I still don't see anyone who is claiming they took this bull by the horns. If no one is doing this, are we really going to see it in a weeks time?I threw in my $30 just out of hope, but I doubt it.Somone tell me otherwise if you have any information.Until then, back to hacking Irenicus to pieces over and over... ... I got this expansion pack for Christmas and so far it has given me now problems at all! I love this expansion pack and visiting studio town is awsome!!! I would recomend this game to any sims fan! I liked this one so much i am going to buy the sims unleashed next. This is a great game and i hope you enjoy it.

2-0 out of 5 stars not this one
I agree with the previous reviews. When it works it's fun but getting it to work is hard! My game only works with just the original houses, objects and sims. Any downloaded stuff and the fame career track shuts down. So I have one neighborhood with fame track and the rest where you can't only visit. Don't buy this one. Stay with Vacation and Unleashed - they aren't nearly so much trouble.

I purchased this game about two weeks ago.I was having a lot of fun with it until the game started throwing me to the desktop ( just as another person mentioned in their review).I continue to play, but I do not go to studio town anymore, which does eliminate a lot of the fun.I would like to be able to play in the Studio Town, so if anyone has a solution to this problem, please email me asap at : Liz@Hallmanstudio.com ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Trivia with an attitude
YDKJ games are very fun to play, and the feuding of the hosts makes it more interesting. It's like a soap opera with the hosts.
4-0 out of 5 stars I Memorized Jack
The Jack series, overall, is one of .the. best trivia games I've ever played (and I've played a number in my time).Sadly, The Ride, while being a F'ing blast, falls short on the replay factory. You play a number of floors, but after you're run through the game once (it's set up in a linear fashion), you have to start over from the beginning, and all the questions are the same--I'm still working over games one and two, and despite having some questions appear multiple times, there are still new questions to discover.
1-0 out of 5 stars dont buy this game

4-0 out of 5 stars A Building Block, if Nothing Else
The last Tomb Raider to use the "tiled world" engine, Tomb Raider Chronicles gives out 4 short adventures for you to experience. It also includes a CD with the Tomb Raider Level Editor, which lets you build your own tiled worlds with the Tomb Raider Last Revelation game engine.
2-0 out of 5 stars doesnt measure up to past trs
tomb raiders are among my favorites, combining the best mixture of shooter and puzzle games. generally, they are satisfyingly challenging, and the "engine" is still the best there is. no other games i have done have such natural running, jumping, and swimming. also, mac versions are better than windows. for example, the windows trilogy, in tr I, has lara a bunch of speckles rather than a well defined figure.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wow, really loved it
While the search for the perfect game continues, this one was a contender.Graphics were the best I had seen yet, and the engine was very smooth.I liked the stereo specific sound effects.I played this with Yamaha speakers, and the frogs sounded so real, also the dripping echo. The linear plot was easy for folks like me, and I liked the progression, even if the ending was less than I had hoped.
3-0 out of 5 stars Fun that Wears off
Based on single player play, I have to echo other reviewers' claims about the game wearing off.The graphics, sound effects, game play are enjoyable. The weak, often non-existplot is a problem at least for me, though people that liked Diablo 1 and 2, will like this game as people who enjoyed Icewind Dale. I prefer Baulder's Gate, Neverwinter Nights.I wish the characters had at least an inkling of personality, a few comments from time to time.A lack of soul as one other reviewer puts it.I've also had it crash from time to time, so save often, like in any other game.My computer has 1.2 MhZ, plenty of Memory and video Memory, so I can only blame the game for that.So if you don't like a plot heavy game, this might be the game for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good game, but disappointing for me.
Yes, there's a lot that's good and impressive about this game. The graphics and sound are excellent. The gameplay is intuitive and easy to master. Comparing this game to the older game Diablo II, it certainly has some enhancements compared to Diablo II. The graphics are better, and you can move the camera angle around. You can command several characters, and build their skills however you like. But its hack and slash, minimal-strategy gameplay is equivalent to that of Diablo II. I've played it for several hours, and have not been impressed. I was hoping for and expecting a game that would take this type of game to a new level. But it doesn't achieve that. There's nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary here. Very linear storyline and gameplay. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Bloody Hell!
I love Monopoly but it's a pain in the royal chambers to set up all the money and clean it up after you're done. I thought this game would get rid of those problems, which it did, but it also made new ones. The host sound like a yankee carnie from the early 90's, dare I say. The computer always maanages to land on his own properties all the time and is quite stubborn in the trade aspect. This game frequently freezes, which is another annoyance. Finally, the map editor. It seems like a brilliantidea, but you can't save your bloody work! Overall, if you enjoy playing cartoon-like games, this is for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars If you love the board game then you'll like this.
Monopoly is one of those games you may not want to play with friends because basically someone has to win and everyone else really loses. However, here you can play with someone on-line or on another computer hooked up to your or with computer players. One word of caution: the computer players cheat a lot!

1-0 out of 5 stars The tail is wagging the dog
For the first few minutes, you're likely to think this is pretty cute. The view of the board zooms around in 3D, the little dog wags its tail, and the characters make droll comments. But after those few minutes it will dawn on you--all this cute stuff is getting in the way of playing the game.It takes the patience of a saint to make it all the way through an entire game, and you're unlikely to want to play another.Even if you disable as much of the cutsie stuff as you're allowed to, the view of the board still zooms around in a way that will make your stomach turn (and prevents you from getting any real sense of the location of the pieces).Play is excruciatingly slow, and frequently interrupted by the silly (and ineffective) attempts at trading by the computer players.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars good KIDS game
I'm well over the recommended age and I LOVE Creatures III... so when I saw this one, I snapped it up thinking I would love it too.I was wrong. This one is TRUELY geared towards younger kids.
4-0 out of 5 stars Kid Friendly Game with Lots of Playability
I just picked up this game the other day and my 5 year old started playing it right away. She has been addicted ever since. I got bored with it rather quickly, but I had to remember that my boredom is not what determines whether this is a good game or not. My daughter finds the game very easy to manuver and loves all of the different activities she can do with her Norns.

5-0 out of 5 stars WoW ! And what a game it is
        hahah
4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, but right now you should get normal version instead of CE
WoW is a great game. There are 8 races to choose from, 9 classes. There are countless quests and every character you make will be different. There are 4 different types of servers-PvE(player vs. environment, good if you like playing the game and don't care too much about pvp action,) RP (Like PvE but is role-playing,) PvP (player vs. player, like PvE. There is more PvP action, but you have a constant chance of being randomly ambushed and killed), and RP-PVP(PVP and RP server combined.)There are also so many terrirtories to choose to level in, if you start a new character it won't be boring. There are tons of guilds to choose from.Plush, when you die instead of losing all your money and items you just have to go to your body, and your armor suffers a durability loss.
3-0 out of 5 stars Comment on just the additions of the Collector's Edition (CE)
Having already penned my thoughts on WoW itself this is exclusively on the CE additions since I own it. Rated how fun the game is as 5 stars but the CE additions warrant 3 stars. The CE contains (as listed above):

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game, not worthy of a "Sequel"
Well if you read my 7th Guest review, you would know the story about when my sister got the game and how it was cool but scary. Well a year or two later (dont remember when THIS game came out), my sister picked up this game since she loved the original game "7th Guest". Well since I was scared of 7th Guest when I was little I was thinking "Great another game that's going to make me crap myself" (I was around 6-7 at the time when this game came out). Well I saw her play it and it's not a freaky and it's not as cool. My sis let me borrow it and the patch over the summer and I beat it, here's the review.
3-0 out of 5 stars Too Convoluted
I greatly enjoyed the 7th Guest. Its sequel, The 11th Hour, is not bad, but it's not very good either. On the plus side, the graphics and the music are just as creepy and cool. On the minus side, the plot is just too stupid, and the extra puzzle elements make the game too convoluted. In the 7th guest, the plot (although not the greatest) was creepy and entertaining, and held the game together. In the 11th hour, there are some elements that are so unbelievable even horror, mystery and intrigue can't account for them (example: somebody gets raped by a house: THAT'S JUST DUMB).
5-0 out of 5 stars Heres how to get the 11th hour to run on any PC!
Ok, Trilobyte was the most forward thinking software company in '92. Just look at The 7thguest! Origin was another excellent company with Wing Commander! My point is, todays game makers lack creativity and talent. How many games are based on the same tired software engines like quake and unreal? TOO MANY!Read more
