4-0 out of 5 stars Very fun game!
I really love this game! It took a few to get used to it's version of racing physics, but once I started to get it, it started to get more fun for me. I imagine that a wheel setup would be very good for this game, but I'm just not that much into gaming to have/want one.
3-0 out of 5 stars Solid Game with only a few flaws
Ford Racing 2 helps fill a hole in mac gaming, namely the lack of racing games. Great graphics, fairly good sound. It's main weakness is playability hampered by extremely sensitive keyboard controls that make you crash your car from side to side, like you have a high blood alcohol level. Unfortunately, the in game controls are not helpful, but you can adjust the keyboard response rate in System X's System Preferences. Ideally a wheel should be used with this game, though at this point I can't justify the expense and with some practice and frustration you can control the cars with a keyboard. Also, the physics model is not very realistic in that no damage shows up, no matter how much you run in to walls or cars. Ferral's racing games get better and better, and I would recommend this game to someone that enjoys racing games and has a fair amount of patience. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Welcome, Presidente!
The game is awesome - I have spent many afternoons of free time, dictating to my loyal, and sometimes not so loyal, tropican subjects. There are two issues I have with the game, one is that once your island starts to get developed, with a higher population, and lots of buildings and things going on, there is an annoying lag between clicks - but it is not like you need your toothbrush and jammies, just a delay. My other issue with the game is that there never seem to be enough construction offices to get a job done - I expect that this has more to do with the way I play the game than the AI.The sound track is a kick, but makes my wife crave chips and salsa.Mmmmm salsa... be right back.Over all - this is a great strategy / sim game, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genera. After all, who doesn't want to the supreme ruler of their own tropical paradise?

1-0 out of 5 stars Slow like a snail
I hoped to have as much fun with this product as my friends who play it on Windows. Instead I was had, bigt time. It is soooo slow I can prepare dinner while it loads. Forget about enjoying the game, instead you willsnooze after each click. When I checked the programer'swebsite their solution was to run it on OS 9. You'd think that if they sell a product for OS X they would make sure it runs properly on that platform. It was a waste of my time and money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Poor Conversion to the Mac
I would not advise anyone with a Mac to buy this game! The game itself is excellent, unfortunately someone was more interested in rushing it to the Mac market than actually testing it to see if the conversion worked. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Arcade port for Mac
Driving simulations, thanks to today's fast personal computers are very realistic...but this isn't one of them. Total Immersion Racing (TIR) is a Mac/PC version of an arcade game and it looks like it and drives like it. Think PlayStation and you have the right idea. Try the free download demo version before you buy.5-0 out of 5 stars This game is Really good
I just recieved this game about 2 weeks ago and it is so cool. The AI is just superb its really advanced. Ive been hooked on it and i must say its not for everyone its for someone who 1. loves race cars 2. loves racing games 3. someone who wants to race cars such as the Audi TT, Mclaren F1, And lemans like prototyope Bentley its really good. the cars are cool. The tracks are real world tracks. Some of its a bot wierd but its really goos u have gotta get it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great title
Warcraft 3 is a great new title in Blizzard's the Warcraft universe. The realtime strategy game brings new races to the table, these being the night elves and the undead. The plot thickens, the action is intense.
5-0 out of 5 stars Orcs are friends, not goons
I have to admit that I've killed many orcs over the years and never felt an ounce of remorse about it--and who could blame me? They smell bad, they drool, have terrible dental hygiene, steal the jobs of hard-working dwarves and gnomes, and of course...they eat people. Or so I was told. (*Mild Spoiler*) You can imagine what a shock it was to learn in Warcraft III that not only are the orcs not enemies; they are allies you need to save humanity's collective bacon. So as you play the game, you'll need to drive that Lord of the Rings propaganda out of your mind and find peace with your inner orc.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game is Awesome!
This game is a must for any Daria fan! I bought it last year from amazon and I loved it!! (Yeah by the way I'm really 16, not under 13, but I don't have my own account so I'm posting my review like this...) Okay so anyway, this game is really fun and amusing. And it's really funny because it has all these jokes from Daria and Sick Sad World. If you love the show, you'll love this game. Especially since the graphics make it look like a real episode of Daria - it's animated the same way and looks awesome - it's like being in an actual episode that you control! And although I will agree that this game is more for real Daria fans than hardcore gamers, it's still pretty challenging because there are some obstacles and puzzles that do take some thought to figure out (although nothing is too annoying or impossible to figure out). It's a very enjoyable gam eto play! And once you finish, it's fun to go back and play again with a friend (although it's only for one player at a time - but alternating is fun). Yeah, so buy this game because I promise you'll love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!
This is a great game and a must buy for any Daria fan. I just recieved my copy today, it's pretty easy, and only took up 2 and a half hours win it. It starts out with Daria falling asleep while her English Teacher is reading a book about hell, she dreams that she's in her own personal hell and she has to recover some items stolen from the school to wake up. Once you have recovered all the items you wake up.

3-0 out of 5 stars Short, but not sooo simple...
Well, before buying Daria's Inferno I knew and loved the series, of course and I also read all the reviews before eventually deciding to purchase it. I agree that the game is pretty short and offers hardly any extras. However, I disagree with it being so simple as some people said. I may not play as many games as other users, but honestly, who never failed when trying to mess with the heating system in the cellar, for instance? And this is just the first level! Yes it is short but no, it defenitely is not only simple. There are some tricky parts you have to cope with before finishing the game. For the record: I'm 27 and therefore way beyond the age of the target group but probably still a typical Daria fan.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Aah, the memories...
Yes, the graphics are 2D (and just barely so).The complexity of the games is minimal in that many of the games feature a fixed character (skier, car, airplane) as the rest of the world (a mountain, competing cars, windmills) scrolls past with obstacles for you to avoid.
3-0 out of 5 stars Nice piece of retro gaming.
Gamers of my generation (thirtysomething), among others, fondly remember the Atari 2600 console.Come on, you remember it - the black joystick with the bright red button, the black console with four switches and a slot for game cartridges... the clicks, bleeps and bloops of games like Pitfall, Atlantis and Megamania: A Space Nightmare? If you do, then the Activision Anthology will bring a smile to your face; among the many other recent efforts to revive classic video games, MacPlay has published this collection of 75 games for the retro gamer in all of us.

4-0 out of 5 stars An Avid Mac Gamer
Any fan of either James Bond (your car looks like it came right from a recent Bond film) or racing/car games should seriously concider Spyhunter as their next purchase.Overall this game really delivers, you quickly become quite immersed in the game soon after starting it.Although it's rather short (only 14 missions), they still offer varied locations and weapon/car modifications to keep you interested. The only real problem is the objective based gameplay becomes a little annoying and tough every once and a while, you'll probably end up replaying a level over several times just to find out where certain targets are and how to get past tricky obsticles in the time you have (which is almost always enough fortunately).5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
I like racing games, so decided to buy this one. The game's graphics are superb and seem like the arcade hit HydroThunder. The CD came with a Windows version as well, so I can play this game on Windows as well. The game looked and ran the same on both MacOS and Windows. I will choose to run this game on MacOS though. The requirements are a little steep, but not too bad. If you have a flat-panel iMac, this game should run well. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Well, sux for you guys.
I don't have this version. I've got the one on Windows XP, and it runs just fine. I'd suggest you all buy that version instead. The only problem is, there was this time where you're in a snowy level and all these bombs start hitting, and you can only walk around for about ten seconds before more bombs smash the area, so you have to hide in a fox hole or a pit of dirt with a tent over it, and then there comes a time when you just can't do anything after that. The game froze up and stopped completely, taking me back to the desktop, so when I loaded it back up again, the graphics had gone from great, to blury and pixilated like the earlier MOH games. I've never made it past that point. But still, you'd be better off getting the version I got 'cause it doesn't have any problems besides the one I mentioned. The gameplay is just fine, and the bad guys actually die when you shoot them. The bullets don't just bounce off them like in Allied Assault and Breakthrough. Those are the other two I've got besides this one, so I know which ones are better than others as far as graphics. This is the best one in that area. So stay away from the MAC version, buy the Windows XP version, and that's a wrap.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy this!
First, let me say that I had no problems running this game on my G5.Make sure you have good hardware and the latest updates and patches and you won't have any bug issues or frame rate problems.
4-0 out of 5 stars Demanding of hardware
This is a good add-on to Allied Assault, but you probably shouldn't try it unless you have the hardware to handle it.I first tried Spearhead on a G4 with 768 MB RAM, and eventually gave it up in frustration. In some levels (particularly the one that has you riding around on the top of a truck), the frame rate slowed down so much to make the level impossible.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A few flaws, but worth playing.
The Close Combat games allow players to take control of troops, tanks, and light artillery at a squad and platoon level. This entry in the series is set during Operation Market-Garden, an ambitious but ultimately disastrous Allied attempt to blitz into the German heartland by way of a series of bridges.Players can command Allied or Axis forces in individual battles or in campaigns of varying lengths.Normally, each side will have ten to twenty units in each battle, with no more than six vehicles and a hundred or so troops. While the scale is much larger than a first-person shooter, it is still very much a tactical-level game.
1-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't run on OS9 or OSX
I can't load this onto either of my Macs. I think it is just too old.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent wwII game!
The first (good game) of the seriese brigeto fqr has extremly excelant grapichs of the battlefields, always displayed from a birds eye view. There are lots and lots of teams to choose from I would say maybe more than 100 from eother the british americans polish or germans. game is accurate to the real battles with both troop allouence and battlefield maps. all units are very acurate as well with minds of there own. there are windows to see the stus of each person on each of your teams, believe me this makes it much more real, weather cowring aiming firing paniced exhausted or taking fire plus more. tells all of the amunition of each team member weather only a few rockets for bazooka of panzerfaust or hunderds for each of the differnt riffles. as the player you command all of your troopsyou can give oders to run hide walk fire sneak defend through smoke. with line of sight lines you can tell if there is a clear view or somthing in the way. between each sector there are very informative movies compiled of real WWII footage, and as time goes on and if you control the air drops or not you are giving requesition points to choose from the availible men! highly intertaing stunning grapics acurate to the nearest detail an excelant buy also challengeing I have never been albe to win as the allies with normal settings although it is very possible, the germans have lots of very powerfull thanks in the end and the allies few smaller ones much and lots of infantry much like how it happened I think it truly is a brigde to far! Blazkowicz, a highly decorated Army Ranger recruited into the Office of Secret Actions (OSA) tasked with escaping and then returning to Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to thwart Heinrich Himmler's occult and genetic experiments. Himmler believes himself to be a reincarnation of a 10th-century dark prince, Henry the Fowler, also known as Heinrich. Through genetic engineering and the harnessing of occult powers, Himmler hopes to raise an unstoppable army to level the Allies once and for all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great FPS Low Firepower
This is a great first person shooter for OS X if you own a G4 iMac or other lower end G4 machine.Haven't tried it on anything lower than my G4 667 powerbook, but the Powerbook seemed to have all the Processing power this game needs. This is a really good translation of the old third person game Castle Wolfenstein, and a much improved rendition over the original Wolfenstein 3D.4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
If you don't already own this game, you should. This is definately a classic game. The anticipation was so high for this game when it first released [because it was the follow up to one of THE best shooters ever].The game followed through well...excellent graphics, great AI for single player, online play is excellent. There are many weapons, maps, etc.Online play is more than just runnin around and shooting...instead you have objectives and people on your team have jobs to complete such as Medics, Soldier, and Engineer. As I said before, this game is a CLASSIC...a MUST OWN!I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because its getting to be an old game but its still great...

4-0 out of 5 stars Stunning graphics, smart AI, but not much innovative play
Remember that Simpsons episode where Homer is sucked into a higher (three-dimensional) reality and has his mind blown for a little while? If you still remember the old Wolfenstein 3D, that may very well be how you're going to feel once you fire up Return to Castle Wolfenstein (aka RTCW--I'm lazy). The graphics are stunning, including highly realistic textures, fog, lighting effects, and of course nearly photorealistic opponents. Environmental sound effects and wonderful--often hilarious--voice acting round off the illusion. All cut scenes are produced using the in-game engine, and I'd say the only way to make them look better would have been to use live actors. Facial animations are well executed, and once you get a good look at the femme fatale Elite guards, you will realize how well your enemies are built ... er, designed. Your Teutonic opposition largely speaks English with a strong accent (and unless you know German, you'll probably be thankful for this), but they do throw in the occasional catchy "Schweinhund!" and "Mein Gott!" as you tangle with them. 5-0 out of 5 stars Can't beat this suite of diverse and creative games
I really can't say enough about this package of creative games:Bugdom 2, Cro-Mag Rally, Billy Frontier, Enigmo, and Otto Matic. Each game has its own style and theme; the diversity is outstanding. All of them demonstrate the same quality of graphics, music and versatility of action as the original Bugdom.Since I loved that software, this package wasn't a hard sell for me.Brian Greenstone of Austin, Texas is the owner of Pangea Software which recently incorporated in 1999.He contracts artists and musicians, so it makes sense that some of the products in this package have a distinct look and feel. The background style, weaponry, and action of Bugdom 2 and Otto Matic, are reminiscent of Bugdom, yet the games are different enough that they have an element of excitement, mystery and surprise.I was drawn into each new level of each game with"so, what's going to happen here?!" I love games with a quest and I love exploring new frontiers within each level. All of the games were rated high by the gaming magazines and most have downloadable demos on the internet for folks to sample before investing in the pack. All in all, the total price for each game purchased separately is $115, so the Super Pack is quite the bargain.I can't imagine how many hours of great exploration this package might offer. It would be a great gift for older children on travel with their laptops (ok, with their parent's laptops!).4-0 out of 5 stars Great Fun!
This is a good deal on some of Pangea's most popular titles.I'd rate each game like this:1) Otto Matic -- best game of the bunch, extremely creative, somewhat challenging, though it seems to be written with kids in mind, hence not too tough, great graphics.2) Enigmo -- fantastic puzzle game, never seen anything quite like it.Very challenging, especially if you try to beat the clock and get the bonus points, great graphics.3) Bugdom 2 -- also extremely creative, easier than Otto Matic to complete, suitable for kids, great graphics.4) Cro Mag Rally -- this was ok, I'm not a fan of racing games, but it's very suitable for someone looking for a cartoonish racing game.5) Billy Frontier --This game was mediocre and I would've rather see some other game included in the collection instead of this one.Besides average game play, I didn't care for the spewing blood that frequents the Billy Frontier experience and stands in stark contrast to Pangea's record of making fun, yet psychologically sound games.I contacted Pangea, and they said there's no way to turn off the blood effects which makes Billy Frontier, imho, unsuitable for children or anyone with a sense of humanity 8-) ---------------------------------------Overall, it's a nice collection at a reasonable price. Each game ran perfectly at max settings on my 1.25gz G4 Power Mac running 10.2.6 w/ 768 MB of memory. My only other complaint is also part compliment.Of the games I liked, which was 4 out of 5, I found each game a bit short and left me wishing for more.10 levels on Otto Matic is not nearly enough! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Berzerko Zombie Action!
I agree with the people up top who say that Mac just doesn't make good action games playable on their systems. I have a LOT of memory that I put into this iMac just for games, even though I only have Stubbs, KOTOR and Warcraft III! This game is great, the humor is very tongue-in-cheek, and if your Mac is tough enough, the game plays great. Be warned: as the other reviewers said, you need a powerful engine to get this game playing smoothly. Aspyr Media tries to port well, but like KOTOR, Stubbs needs adjusting before you play. configuration-wise.
3-0 out of 5 stars Not a review but a caution
I want to make sure potential customers realize that "Stubbs the Zombie" cannot be played on a Mac OS that is 10.3.9 or lower. The game requires a video card your machine won't have, that costs about half the original price of your system. It's too bad, too - looks like a fun game. Sigh.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great concept, but fun factor comes at a price
Having been "switched" for over a year, I've come to accept the fact that Mac's were not designed to play action games. This latest "Mac" game confirms that.

4-0 out of 5 stars From a Newbie at these mmorg games
I kept hearing about the online playing games awhile back agoand had recently got a cable modem so i decided to buy a couple and try them out. I bought Ultima and shadowbane when it first came out. I ended up staying with shadowbane because it seemed to take more thought and detail into what you have to do. Ultima seemd more "kid-like" (i dont mean to offend anyone). I didnt seem to run into hardly any problems as most people for some reason. I also dont have any friends that play it but found it very easy to find help from others and had no trouble joining guilds and getting power leveled by them. Of course there were jerks on there but plenty of those in the real world also.Over all it was and addictive game that i got fully engulfed in and highly recopmmend it. I never did the trial but it doesnt do it justice.

2-0 out of 5 stars Better ones out there
    Hi
2-0 out of 5 stars Don't bother unless you have a few dozen friends
The game is fun, if you have a few dozen friends already ingame to watch over you. While the game protects players until level 20, you don't become viable in any of the serious combat situations until level 50. With experience, you can hit level 50 in a week; however, if you just start the game, it could take you close to a solid month.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My son loves it!
My 6-year-old son loves this CD.It comes with a workbook that he completed all on his own...which is amazing for a somewhat lazy kid who never wants to do his homework. The first one got lost and I had to order it again because he kept asking for it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for young children
I have a 4 year old daughter who absolutely loves this CD, she will sit for over an hour and work through the entire disc. The first day she needed assistance to understand the directions but since then she works through the disc alone and if she makes a mistake she can go back and fix it herself. When she has completed the disc she then prints a certificate that says 100% correct. She LOVES it! The Reading Readiness, Transition Math and Vocabulary Puzzles for grade 1 are great too for preschool aged children.

3-0 out of 5 stars Electronic Workbook
I purchased this CD-rom at a large discount retailer for about $6.50. That's about how much it's worth. If I had paid more than that, I think I would feel ripped off.
