5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Replay Value of Any Game EVER!!!
Amplitude is an exellent game. I was introduced to it a few years ago and I still play it once or twice a week. With a total of 5 difficulty levels this game never gets old. Mind you the GAME never gets old, but the songs do. That is my only compaint with amplitude. Other then that this game is awsome.
5-0 out of 5 stars Top notch fun!One of the best music videogames I've played in a long time!
Whoa!My son is blowing my mind with this game!He is only 5, yet, he is playing the "easy" mode with me, and not missing any beats! And he taught me how to use the special energy boosts.Talk about a trip!He even made it past several stages and we unlocked the David Bowie song! That song is one of the best David Bowie songs I've heard in a long time!
5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect, Perfect, Perfect!
I've been a long-time fan of the "Beatmania"/"Hip Hop Mania" arcade series. I crave music games, and there have never been enough good ones. "Parappa the Rapper" more or less defined the genre, but I didn't find it terribly satisfying.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Very addicting Game
When I got this game at a store no one knew anything about it so I was a little worried at first. When I started playing it it was a little hard to get the gontrols right but then the game got awsome. I like how you can hunt and or fish for food when you get farther in you can hunt dragons and upgrade yourself and the world is huge. Overall I love this game

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome! A Must-Get sleeper hit!
I submitted an earlier review of this game based on level 1 missions. Well those are basically tutorials. I am almost to level 5 now and I have to say that this game rocks. I play offline only though due to lack of broadband connection, so it takes quite a bit of time to get money for upgrades to armor and weapons as well as the other necessary items required to survive the later levels. There are tons of armor and weapons to be had and any combination you desire...assuming you are able to aquire to necessary items carved from various creatures or won on various levels. Also, certain armor combos produce skills for your fighter such as resistance to poison, paralysis, knockout negated, and hunger halved. Weapons can also be upgraded to have attributes like inflicting poison status on your prey.I see that trading with the forest elders will also be invaluable for rare items. So far, I haven't had too much trouble completing any mission since I have upgraded to a great sword called the Dragon Agito. Very nice and powerful. =) Strategy is a key to defeating wyverns. Be sure to bring the appropriate supplies depending on the map you are fighting in i.e. desert bring cool drinks. Bring plenty of health potions and stamina recovery items such as well done steaks you cook yourself. Cool! =) Also, you have to know when to RUN! Seriously. If you are getting your tail kicked, run to another screen away from the wyvern, drink your healing potions, resharpen your weapon, and then go back to kickin wyvern tail! While you are away it is also a good time to make any other items you may need such as more pitfall traps to catch the wyvern in, more barrel bombs to weaken him, etc. If you play offline only like I am, it will take hours and hours and hours and...you get the picture...to acquire all the armor and weapons you desire. But I have been playing almost everyday for a month now and still going strong and it is still a blast although tedious. As your character acquires stronger armor and weapons, you can go back to earlier levels and fight previous wyverns that you USED to be afraid of, and can tell them now to "bring it on!" lol For the current price this game is going for, you are missing out if you don't get this. I highly recommend it.
5-0 out of 5 stars good game
This is a good solid game, although its not perfect its still great. On the week days monday-friday theres around 200-300 people playing online, and over the week a good 500. So theres a pretty good fan base. This game is more like diablo than anything less in my opinion. You get quest got out with 3 other players hack in slash and complete the quest. Its also cool because no other game as based its theme only on dragons and dinoaurs. It would be cool if they made other monster hunter thats a mmorpg like ff11. Just a thought. Great game and for the price its all good, you be spending countless hours on this game, and it goods way to fast. ... Read more

This game is amazing! Try playing it with a really good surround sound system (Dolby 5.1) And you will feel the bombs drop right in front of you! I play online using this and it's like im in a war, bullets are zinging past my ear in every which direction! Trust me, you'll be constantly trying to stay low! This game rocks for sure!

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Game!!
I cannot tell you how much time I have spent playing the multiplayer version of Socom II. I did the single player missions just for the skins that it offers you. I thought the single player wasent that great, which is the only reason I rated this a 4 out of 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is Awesome
Tony Hawk 4 is the best PS2 game I've ever played. It's about a million times better than Tony Hawk 3 and Tony hawk 2. I've had this game for 2 years and I just can't stop playing it. Even though there's Tony Hawk Underground, Tony Hawk Underground 2, and American Wasteland, I haven't bought them I know they can't beat this game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Eh
Alright, I had my sare of addiction towards this game and it was actually awhile ago, but I'll try to explain what I liked about this game.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good game but.......
It would seem SOE has turned their back on this game.It is a good game,It needs a lot of updates, and definitely a NEW expansion!!Overall this game rocks, but customer service is horrible!Talk to anybody who plays this game, they love it,except for the way SOE treats us as customers.Be prepared for lots of xp grinding, which can get tedious after a while. But xp grinding is not unique to just this game. There is plenty to do on frontiers for a newbie...but beyond that it's past time for a new expansion.I think SOE needs to remember they do have other games and customers other than those on EQ2.I also play regular EQ,so i am a fan of the series,SO....I think the future of eq frontiers is uncertain, have you seen it on the shelves anywhere? That in itself speaks volumes. So let the buyer beware!GOOD game, bad support, uncertain future.

3-0 out of 5 stars Need no life to play
Everquest is a valiant attempt at an online rpg hypbrid but is far too encompassing for its own good. One must have no life and play constantly to really get the most out of the game and advance.I like the characters and idea but i just cannot get into it, i am looking forward to similar games with what i feel will be better online capabilities and better enjoyment and value. I would recommend Capcom's Monster Hunter or even the obligatory FF but that one has monthly fees whereas Monster Hunter is free. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than the first...
this is definite improvement from its predecessor... the graphics were improved dramatically and the physics of the car...
4-0 out of 5 stars Overall a great game!
I've been playing this game for awhile and I have to say that its the most addicting racing game I've ever come across. You can race in a ton of different vehicles ranging from a simple Civic to a totally tricked-out Aston-Martin. The marathon-length races are a huge plus in my book and I actually enjoy the computer voices talking trash while you're trying to concentrate. The only problem I've had with the game so far is that the computer players get unbelievably hard after you leave Los Angeles and the number of obstacles is exhausting. But its a great game to play when you wanna escape the rules of "real-life" and you have an urge to jump off a ramp and soar halfway across a city at 300+ mph. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!
I was introduced to the SOCOM series when I played my bro's PSP Fireteam Bravo. Then the next time it didn't work so we went to Game Stop and bought SOCOM 3. I beat all of it, and it seemed boring. So I borrowed my friend's SOCOM 1 game and I got to the last Congo mission when it wouldn't work and I got mad. My dad, assuming it was mine, broke it. 2 days later we bought 2 SOCOM 1 games-one for me and one to replace my friend's. The graphics are pretty great, but some levels are just flat-out hard, especially the Prison Break mission. I got killed when I was facing the chopper. Too bad this game doesn't have checkpoints like SOCOM 3. But it was a good game!

3-0 out of 5 stars WAS a great Shooter and Online game!
SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs contributed to PS2's success being a really good Online game.I bought US Navy SEALs cheap along with a USB Headset, Online equipment(ethernet cable, disc and reuter) and joined a couple of forums to get into Online clans(Gamespot,IGN,NSG etc) since absolutely none of my friends have SOCOM or Online play.

2-0 out of 5 stars Rainbow Six 3 ultimately frustrating.
I'm not new to the Rainbow Six games, and I'm not new to first person shooters.I loved the first person shooter missions. But about half way through there is a 'bug phone' mission where you have to place a device on the terrorists' phone.First of all, what terrorist hasn't switched to cell phones by 2003 (or whenever this was released)?Second, I spent hours on this and never could get by the guy watching TV.The idea of these games, not to beat a dead horse, is shooting and strategy.I don't want to sneak around like splinter cell (a much better game) when I have no options for climbing, knocking people out, etc.And I didn't feel the PS2 game gave me the necessary training to get me through this mission.Like, was I supposed to move less times, or move less distance?Or move at certain times? And who stands in front of a widescreen tv for a half-hour?AAAAHHHH!!!
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game, some A.I. hiccups
I can't believe that RS: Lockdown was delayed, it looks great. I recently began playing this game again, because there's nothin' but crap coming out this summer. I don't think that this game is hard, you may just have to play it 3 or more times to get it. There are 15 missions where you either rescue hostages or defuse bombs, you also bug a penthouse, and snatch incriminating documents, all while shooting tangos with SMGs, ARs, LMGs, and sniper rifles. Also with grenades. On most missions you will have three other squadmates, you can order these men to cover, open and clear a room, open and frag or flashbang a room. There are some minor A.I problems especially in tight areas, like in the Import/Export mission just after the room where part 2 of the mission starts in the room w/ all the tangos, after killing them all you hide next to a window, where on the other side are bunch of tangos usually one of your squadmates will run out and stand in front of the window and get shot (you can only survive about four shots from an AR). Another A.I problem is when your team is covering a door, you stand back and open the door and you're shooting a tango, on the other side of the room is another tango, your dumbass squadmate runs out in front of you and you shoot him in the head.

5-0 out of 5 stars Catering to the tenacious types...
The key to truly enjoying Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain (SF:TOS)is dedication. The whole game carries with it a progression of learning and skill-building that will turn off the casual crowds.SF:TOS begins by letting you customize your own agent (which gets very detailed and extensive as you go along). It then throws you into a mission where you are a rookie in the agency. You will have no idea what you are doing, where you are going, etc. but the game gently guides you.By gently I mean it points you in the right direction but never tells you outright how to accomplish a task. This lets you get creative and learn through doing. This is indicative of the entire game from start to finish: learn, get better and be rewarded every step of the way.
5-0 out of 5 stars Davenport Iowa Dubuque Iowa
My name is Adam and am [...]. Almost my whole life video games have been like a 2nd religion not mention wrestling. My all time favorite games series are Grand theft Auto, Resident Evil, Max Payne, Doom, Twisted Metal, about any rockstar game and of course all syphon filters. I love this game so much. never played on line but i have done everything offline for this. somehow i completed the online objective in the mall all by myself and i thought i had died and gone 2 heaven. This game had some hard objectives like the stealth operations ratings so i got the cheat book just in time. i only used it for a few things. other then that everything else was a piece of german chocolate cake. I like the characters stone and logan the best. I also liked taking out those frogs in charthage michigan. Thank you amazon.

2-0 out of 5 stars For Really Patient People Only
I have really enjoyed the SF series over the years but this game was extremely frustrating to learn. Gameplay is godawful! You used to be able to start a mission over quickly with a push of a couple of buttons; now you have to quit the mission and then wait for the darn thing to reload. This is progress??? Furthermore, you also used to be able to go back to your last checkpoint and start over again with your previous progress. Not anymore. If you are playing a "stealth" level and lose your stealth you are out of luck! You have to start the level over in order to regain your stealthiness. I cant count the number of times I threw my joystick down in disgust.

1-0 out of 5 stars A Joke and a Complete Waste of Time
World Series of Poker (the so-called official game) is a farce. The game is completely programmed to make you lose. The player does not have the freedom to be aggressive or bully. The game is programmed to make you play one style, and that is controlled poker. If you get too aggressive the computer will automatically give the opponent a bigger hand. Also, even when you adjust your play to the computers style, the opponents still "suck out" all the time. The opponent players will raise and call with hands that even the worst amateur players wouldn't dare play. Therefore the gameplay is completely unrealistic.Another example of the unrealistic programming you can find in this game is when you fold a hand and then watch the opponents go against each other. They will turn over some of the worst cards and hands you've ever seen, and then you can go up against those same players and they will turn over emmaculate hands. The opponents don't vary their style, the computer only adjusts to the fact that "You" are in the hand.If you want to lose all the time buy this game.If you want to constantly play your best and still lose, buy this game.If you want to feel like you have the worst luck in the world, buy this game.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good for learning or boredom
With that being said, its the best poker game out there ive seen so far.I do like how it has alot of the different tournaments, and not just the final WSOP.Its a 4 in my book mainly because for anyone that plays for money, you will feel like you wasted hours of your time when you win and have nothing to show for it.If you are interested in learning more about the game, or just have no desire to ever play for money, this is by far the game for you.Otherwise, save the 30 bucks and play on pokerstars or partypoker and enjoy the excitement of what makes poker such a catchy game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Poker game...better then the rest...

NBA 2K3 is an ok game but if you are thinking about getting a b-ball game consider the following5-0 out of 5 stars Most fun
bottom line, its the most fun basketball game i've ever played. i bought it in dec 2002, and have logged a full 82 game season with playoffs (10 min 1/4's) plus at least 100 games against human players.5-0 out of 5 stars Most realistic basketball game I've ever played
My six year old and I play this game quite often. There is a slight learning curve (my son was shooting when he meant to be passing) but it isn't too rough.I've seen more complicated games.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars It is good, when standing alone.
I would greatly suggest this game to anyone I know.Definetly one of the best Football Games in the world, and I've played them all.You probably are wondering by now 'why the 3 stars then?'This is because, since I have played nearly all football games, I have seen this games master.I'm talking about nothing else, but NFL Madden 2003.Sure, the intro for Gameday is hella tight, and almost makes buying the game worth it.But, when compared to the almightly Madden, this game is nothing. This game is simpler, yet with much fewer choices. If you have this game, Warning:DON'T PLAY MADDEN OR YOU'LL NEVER HAVE FUN WITH GAMEDAY AGAIN!BE HAPPY WITH YOUR GAME AND LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!

4-0 out of 5 stars Personal Favorite
I do not play alot of football games, but this one is best of all.Good graphics, online capability, nice play setup, and, best of all, you can tackle the refs. I gave it 4 because it could have been better, but then again so could most games.

3-0 out of 5 stars Missing Realism Components takes away from the game
I have been a fan of the gameday series ever since I got my first PS1 and Gameday 99. Now, with Gameday 2003, the content of the game is remarkable. There is no doubt in my mind that it is a very fun and exciting game. However, even little details are noticeable and may take away from the game if you're a big buff football fan/player (like me!). Though it is true the CPU AI is at its best, there are still a few little things that make it kinda dull:Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars One of the best strategy games ever!
Unlike other people, my so called "dreaded" blue disk has never failed. And there are more than one map; try, five or six maps, once you've unlokced them all. The pargment map is the best, and looks the most real. You can speed the game or keep a close watch at the process of all the battles. Although the AI are programmed to do the same thing, you can change the outcomes by mixing the generals and levels of each one. The Game of Risk also offers many uniforms, but has no MExican General or uniform, which has been somewhat dissappointing to me, personally. Overall, this version of the famous game of Risk is one of the best to reach the stores.

1-0 out of 5 stars Might as well play against monkeys
I love risk.I had the EGA pc game years ago and enjoyed it, but the computer players rarely did anything remotely appearing like a strategy and were just plain stupid.Enter Risk: Global Domination.I figure it has been at least 15 years since I played the old EGA Risk.Certainly, the AI has got to be better now and the computer opponents would put up a good fight.I mean computers are beating chess masters now.How friggin' hard would it be to make a decent AI opponent in Risk?Well, apparently it is just too hard. The computer opponents are, in a word, LAME!.They appear to attack at random. They never attempt to protect territories/continents they've taken. They employ absolutely no strategy at all other than an apparent desire to lose every game. The makers of this game spent too much time on graphics, sounds, pretty dice, and fancy boards. They should have spent more time on developing an engine that would make it a challenge to play.I'd be happy with the graphics I got with my first computer (a Tandy 1000 in 1985) if that's what it would take to not have to play a bunch of monkeys.

3-0 out of 5 stars Playing against the computer doesn't replace playing humans
The game is quite fun but playing against the computer can get very boring. The computer is programmed to play a certain way which makes it very predictable. For example, if you take control of the continent, one or more of the other five opponents controlled by the computer will automatically attack you to stop your hold. Also, the computer is programmed so that it often makes very stupid moves. For instance, if an opponent gets weak, then a computerized opponent rarely attempts to take him over. Hence, the key to winning the game is by keeping your eye out for weak opponents and taking them over. Occupying a continent will usually hurt your more than help you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever!
This game is a lot of fun to play, but it does take a little time to figure out the maneuvers. There are scenarios to practice skills to make your player very skilled. Also you can make your character look pretty close to your own image. It is challenging and very addictive. Fun for both males and females.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun game, but if you're one who throws controllers in anger, stay away!
Socom U.S. Navy Seals is the first of three games in the series. In this game, you are the leader of a Seal team fighting the war on terror. You will be able to give commands to your teammates via headset or button controls. The mission locations vary from remote locations in Alaska to the jungles of the Congo. Missions include attacking terrorists on a tanker ship to rescuing kidnapped ambassadors, and for all you gun lovers, you will not be dissapointed with the armory in this game.
4-0 out of 5 stars good game with a few mistake!
Socom is without a doubt the best third person tactical shooter.I love this game if only if i could save in the middle of the game. That right, the dumbest thing any one can do to a game is not allowing a person to save in the middle of the game. Now you would than expected it to have checkpoint where it will automatically save for you, Right? Wrong! Now i probably understand it if it was any other game, but Come'on do the creator believe that we can really go commando?I Don't Think So!Now on top of that, there is absolutely no tutorial in the game.In fact the menu is very plain, just think of halo, and you will understand. One thing that ubisoft manage to do right with the ghost recon and rainbow six series, is let the player switch individual, which made it easier.Sadly USNS doesn't ultize any aspect of this great gameplay.Instead you take the role of kakuna, and if your kakuna die, you lose the mission regardless if all your teammate are alive. However anyone looking for a ghost recon type gameplay will also find it in this game also. What i call the ghost recon shooting mode, where you have a reticle in first person without any gun, well ghost recon has it as well, and surprise, it is done way better!
5-0 out of 5 stars So you wannabe a SEAL from the comfort of your TV?
This is the best in the SOCOM series. Sure the grahics are a bit out dated today, and the AI when you first play isnt really much to talk about, but...

4-0 out of 5 stars Wait for the Premium Edition of Armageddon
This review speaks only of the special additions, not the game itself. With that said, for MK fans who have not picked this up and are considering, I say it's definitely not worth your money. It has three features: the MK character cards, the MK 1 arcade game, and the history of Mortal Kombat video from Deadly Alliance. It would be highly unlikely for any of the 25 character cards in this to not reappear in the Premium Edition of Armageddon, which is said to feature more than 50.The history of Mortal Kombat video also leaves out A LOT here.It does talk about Deception toward the end, but in spite of this it is still around 2 minutes shorter. What a waste.
5-0 out of 5 stars MK-All the Way
Deception takes all the aspects that made Deadly Alliance great and improves them. Puzzle Kombat and Chess Kombat are tons of fun. The RPG starring Shujinko is like playing a whole other game. It's fun but prepare to invest a lot of hours into it. There's a lot to do in that adventure. And the fighting roster is a good pick with new characters and old classics mixing it up in beautifully detailed battle arenas. The blood just gushes from the screen and much gore is to be had during character fatalties, stage fatalities, and the slightly disturbing Hara-Kiri suicide move. Gruesome but that's the MK legacy. My only gripe is the expanded Krypt. Some of the graves involve some pretty crazy keys like going to the RPG game and putting Shujinko behind the tent in Edenia on Thursday at midnight so he can meet Jade to unlock the crypt. I had to scout the internet for that bit of info. I never would've discovered that on my own.
3-0 out of 5 stars Online doesn't salvage...
This game picks up control-wise where the last one left off, "Deadly Alliance." I actually like "Deadly Alliance" a lot and still play it (AND kept it), but this one is a little too "tweaked." The new 3D philosophy for the programmers was good last time, but this time it just doesn't work. They made jumping a lot slower, as well as movements, perhaps to create more realism, but it completely changes the gameplay and calls for a whole new format on things. One way to illustrate the amount of change needed for the new slower game is the fact that Scorpion has fewer moves. His swordswipe is gone, which was an awesome and easy-to-use move. Gone. So, a slower game, and the characters move slower in every way. When you get hit with Sub's ice, you slowly take the frozen stance. Every match just drags. As well, the characters are now huge, and for them to move so slowly is mind-numbingly annoying. It's too bad that they held back online until this. The last one would've been perfect. Although this new one has interactive environments, that just makes it a very complicated, slow-moving, ill-controlled mess. There's also chess and other featurette games, but these, again, do no compensate. If you look at it, it almost seems that they were paying too much attention to outer details, and failed to remember gameplay. It's obscure, but believe me, there is mondo difference between this and "Deadly Alliance." The hits on this one, too, are a little off, so that hollow feel is very present. The only thing I don't regret is that I got a copy of part 1, the original, in an "exact" port from its arcade self. ... Read more

NBA LIVE OR ANY OTHER WORKING TITLE FO B-BALL THIS GAME IS PROBABLY THE BEST ONE SO FAR! THE GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING... WHEN I SAW VINCE CARTER, I THOUGHTTHAT I WAS WATCHIN TV!! IT IS SO LIFE LIKE... THIS GAME IS CHALLANGING.. AND FUN ALL AT THE SAME TIME.. U CANT GET ANY BETTER THEN THIS ... I CANNOT BELIVE ANYONE COULD GIVE THIS A 1 OR 2 STARS... I CANNOT BELIVE IT.... WHEN THIS GAME COMES OUT FO THE PSP (WHICH I HAVE) I AM DEFINATLY GETTIN IT...

4-0 out of 5 stars this game is so funny (and awesome)
okay. lets start with the good and bad stuff first. the game's graphics make u feel that the stars are with u. the rags to riches is really fun. u get to start out on the streets and work ur way up to play the biggest stars. it feels so cool when u finally get 3,000,000 credits and unlock yao ming's school. yao ming's school (can u believe that) u can also get the houses of stefan marbury, kobe bryant, shaq, vince carter, tim duncan, steve francis, allen iverson and the hall of fame (thats all i remember). you can unlock a whole lotta players and they have lots of cool collectibles that u have to do a certain task to get. see bill walton in a clippers jersey! get friends, cars, magazines. plus, if you are stuck getting something. just look on a cheat website for the password to get it. the tv tournament's are really fun becausse if ur stuck on one of them, you can adjust the level to such an easy level. the best feature is the move bringin' down the house. u get house meter by doing moves. if it's full, the crowd will go "too slow, too slow!" thats ur cue. press the turbo buttons (L1,L2,R1)and press triangle in the lane. you'll go up for an alley-oop and automatically win the game (plus get alot of points). there's the good things. now come the bad things. the thing that bothers me the most is that there's no michael jordan. i'm from chicago so it really get's on my nerves.please someone answer me. why isn't there mj?????? also, sometimes in rags to riches, it'll become frustrating because u can't beat someone. that's all that's bad. here is the fun things u might see in nba ballers
1-0 out of 5 stars "NBA Ballers" Review
Is not fun. It's one of those games, you know... You throw them down and they get RIGHT back up, but when they throw you down you stay down for 13 minutes. lol I wouldn't say buy this. Plus, the basketball aspect isn't good. Other B-Ball games are A LOT better/funner. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Better then UFC 1 but still lacks
This games cool. My friends cousin is in the game. (Pete William) The graphics are pretty good. The modes are better then the first one. But my compaint is the same as the first one. Matches end way to quickly. I want more of a stragetic sim game engine involved. Why don't ground battles last 10 minutes or longer? It still feels like a button masher game. The moves are hard to pull off. The create a character mode is way too shallow. The games cool for a while but lacks replay value unless your fighting another live person..

5-0 out of 5 stars Realistic Fighting
This is my favorite fighting game I have played. It combines striking with wrestling, letting you beat an opponent if you are skilled enough, even when you are about to get knocked out. Every fighter has his own patented moves and style, adding to the diversity of the game. My friends and I never get tired of the bone crunching hits and submissions. Unlocking new moves and fighters keeps things interesting while playing solo. If you want the most realistic way of beating people - without actually doing it, get UFC throwdown.

4-0 out of 5 stars UFC Throwdown
