2-0 out of 5 stars Not a true Spyro game
I regret to say that I am very disappointed in this game. I've loved the Spyro games since playing the original 'Spyro the Dragon' for PS1 and was really looking forward to this one.
5-0 out of 5 stars Spyro is back!
Finally, there is a Spyro game that is as fun as the original trilogy. When Spyro moved onto PS2, we saw the downfall with Enter the dragonfly and hero's tail (I hated a hero's tail). But this game is extremely fun, with great adventures, great voice cast. This game gets 5 stars from me! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Takes a step back from previous years....
As an avid hockey fan who wanted to finally get a chance to play with Sidney Crosby, I had been awaiting this game for a while now. While you will see a lot of the reviews harp on the negative, I'll try to keep it as even as possible with pros and cons, because lets face it, everything is going to have negatives regardless.
3-0 out of 5 stars If you don't play against a friend, you'll soon tire of this flawed game.
(Note:This review was UPDATED as of September 21,2006)
5-0 out of 5 stars What I expected, and that's not bad
I played this game and found it very fun. The controls, in my opinion, are just fine. The analog passing is pretty cool and I didn't have trouble adjusting to it. The only complaint I have is the lack of classic NHL logos; I wanted to create the Hartford Whalers but couldn't because their logo wasn't there. Just something I didn't like, I'm sure that won't bother most people. But yeah, overall I found the game enjoyable and personally I found the new controls more natural than any hockey game I have ever played previously. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars disappointment
I have been playing DDR Extreme 2 for almost a year as a form of exercise.I was excited to hear that a new title, DDR Supernova, was coming out, and I preordered it.I am really quite disappointed in the game.I hate the method of unlocking songs, it doesn't seem to make any sense, and I am not an idiot. The Workout Mode is lousy, the menu is not intuitive and I can't set it the way I want. Some of the new songs are great, but since I can't seem to unlock any new ones I am pretty frustrated.I had no problem unlocking songs etc. with the previous version I own.
4-0 out of 5 stars I like a lot of the songs, but hate the unlock process
I have all the other DDR and DDR-type games for PS2, and am enjoying this one so far, though I really hate the Stellar Master Mode, which you are forced to play to unlock new songs. You can get points to purchase new songs from playing the normal way, but you unlock songs to purchase by playing the Stellar Master Mode, which features all sorts of odd challenges, like strange arrows or arrows that move in odd ways. I play DDR by freshening up my instinct and so retraining my instinct to follow odd arrows is not any fun for me.
3-0 out of 5 stars DDR for a new generation!
DDR has certainly changed over the years. With the latest installment (Dance Dance Revolution SuperNova) one can see the change dramatically.Stellar Dance Mode is for most a complete waste of time as it requires us to play songs we do not want to and in modes we do not want to just to unlock songs in the game. Some of the licensed songs are remixed versions that are below par to the orginal versions while other licesned songs are thrown on here just because they are already in other bemani games (Karaoke Revolution, Beatmania USA).There are many japanese songs on this mix as well as instrumentals that seem out of place in DDR.

4-0 out of 5 stars Have You Hugged a Prinny Today?
Admittedly, I haven't played a lot of strategy RPGs. I attempted to play Final Fantasy Tactics, generally considered to be a classic of the genre, at one point, but I found it really dry and I had serious problems with a class system that seems to really unbalance the game by making it too easy. I've never really had much motivation to seek out other examples of SRPG genre because there is Nippon-Ichi's Disgaea series, as unique as it is fun. And long-lasting too. You can spend several hundred hours playing through Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories to beat all the bonus content beyond the main campaign.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
I bought Disgaea when it first came out and thought it was great.Fun, funny, and with many long hours of game play. When 2 came out, I was excited. It didnt let me down.
3-0 out of 5 stars Great game -- but do not expect another Hour of Darkness.
That might be a little misleading -- the battle mechanics are almost exactly the same as those in the first game (heck, as in most of Nippon Ichi's games, though this series, I think, is the best of the lot). That part of the game absolutely delivers:

2-0 out of 5 stars Different From FFX
Let me begin by saying that this game is very different from FFX.Do not expect an epic story here. And the battle system is drastically different. All three of the main characters are females. The story takes place in Spira.Yuna, Rikky, and a new character, Paine are Sphere Hunters. They travel all over the continenct searching for these artifacts. The story is very lightweight and definitely not engaging. However, the game is not a bad RPG.If you simply just want to pass the time and play an RPG, then this game will do.Just do not expect it to be anywhere near as good as FFX. In my view, there are many other superior RPGs out there that should be first on your list.

2-0 out of 5 stars WHAT is all the rave about???
I am a die-hard fan of Kingdom Hearts, and I've heard the fantastic reviews for Final Fantasy. So, I decided to try it out.I rented it at the video store, and boy, what a waste of time!
1-0 out of 5 stars Dosen't live up to the series expectiations
If you've come to this game because you're a big fan already of final fantasy, loved final Fantasy X, or are just looking for a fun game to play, you've come to the wrong game.As an avid final fantasy fan I immediatly jumped on this game as soon as it came out, but was grossly dissapointed. The characters they reused from the first game were perverted in the sense that they were grossly changed (ex. costumes were made emensly slutty) and the story plot was WEAK.In addition to this, I was able to beat the game in less than a month! And by only holding down the x button during all battles none the lesss! It dosen't matter why you want to play this game, be it stroy pot, reputation, or battle system, this game is not something you want to have seen on your game shelf. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Grand Theft Auto Recycled
I was under the impression this game was made strictly for the PSP system, so I was caught off guard when I saw it for the PS2 at the local Blockbuster. The gameplay reflects GTA III; no climbing, swimming, eating, working out, etc.The city itself is the same one from GTA III.The graphics also feel dated, but the gameplay is still enjoyable. This is more of a filler game until the next all-new Grand Theft title hits the shelves sometime this Christmas I presume. At 20 bucks though, you can't go wrong.

4-0 out of 5 stars A solid continuation from vice city, until GTA 4 comes out!
This game is way more like vice city than san andreas, so anyone expecting to see a character who has to eat, go to the gym and etc, will be disappointed.
3-0 out of 5 stars good, but not worth it
I've played this game but it's not as good as the other GTA games, I gotta admit. No airplanes, helicopters, swimming or climbing. The graphics aren't the best, but the intro music is nice. Since these days you could get San Andreas or Vice City for about 20 bucks, I would say that's a better choice because San Andreas is pretty good game. Airplanes, swimming, climbing, and much much more than liberty city stories. But that's just my opinion. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Goodbye Clover Studios, it's just not fair
Viewtiful Joe was such a breath of fresh air. So much talent was placed into the design and look of the game. It was simply beautiful.
4-0 out of 5 stars Whacky fighting fun
Capcom has been turning out some great games lately.Zombie basher Dead Rising for the 360 and the superb and amazing Okami for the PS2 have been two of them, and Clover Studios, the recently dissolved developer behind Okami, is responsible for this whacky button-masher.God Hand is one of the craziest brawlers you'll ever play, and it has enough challenge to it to make it worth coming back to.You play as a young fighter named Gene, as you take on an assortment of thugs and other baddies in a mission of revenge.Lucky for you, Gene is a skilled fighter with a little surprise.Gene's right arm posesses some incredible power that can help you beat your enemies into submission as you battle your way to take on an evil demon named Elvis.Yes, God Hand's storyline is weird and whacky, but the game's action and story are so gleefully fun that you'll hardly notice the repetition of the gameplay. The irreverant humor and deep fighting system will keep your attention, but as a whole God Hand is too short. Also, it's not as violent as one might hope it is, but it's refreshing to see a brawler focus more on it's fighting system than gallons of spilled blood. All in all, God Hand doesn't offer much that you haven't seen before, but if you're yearning for some whacky, fighting fun on your PS2, look no futher.

5-0 out of 5 stars Farewell, Clover. We hardly knew ya...
This is Clover's last video game. They produced amazing games like Okami and Viewtiful Joe. This one might suck, I haven't played it, so ignore my rating, but it is the last game from Clover, which Capcom has disolved. Goodbye, thanks for Okami alone. It's flawless. If more people had thought so, perhaps they wouldn't be gone. Like Arrested Development and Firefly, the good die young. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Anyone want a helping of really bad physics?
I liked GT3 AND loved! GT2, so let me begin by saying this game does not measure up...
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Simulator for PS2
I love this game, it is by far the best simulator on PS2, if not the best racing game on the system. The graphics are gorgeous, even on my 16 year old TV. Unlike GT3, you really get a sense of speed, which makes all the cars fun to drive.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun game! Very Entertaining
I bought this game for my daughter's bday and she loves it, as well as our whole family. We now have Karoake twice a week for a family night. Before I couldn't get my kids to hang out with us adults for anything!! The songs are fun also..

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Game!
KR 3 has a generally good songlist, there are some songs I don't know but I know the majority of them. The KR games in general are excellent and this one isn't any different. As a stand alone game (and if you only have one mic) this one beats KR Party. The game isn't too difficult to score well on, the easiest difficulty is way too easy and with medium even the crappiest singer can get platinum records most of the time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Karaoke Rocks!!
This is a lot of fun.I'd reccomend having two mics so you can do the duets, but if not, it's still a blast. This is great for parties, or family get togethers. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Extremely disappointing
This second part of Xenosaga compares very badly to the stellar first part, regardless of what anyone says.I no longer wanted to play this game after only 30 minutes.
3-0 out of 5 stars Predictable
Alot of reviews have been given for this game as "REALLY BAD." I'm one of those people who lets things slide. I'm a big RPG gamer. If you're just looking for fighting in a game. Stay away from this one. This needs alot of role playing consciousness. It has a FANTASTIC storyline (surperior to alot of other RPGs), but the game should have been a movie if you ask me. This game goes back to the past, alot of flashing back and forth and alot of surprises. On "The Trio" as I would say. Jr. Albedo and Gaignun. Don't worry about other characters. They're not as important here. But don't let that get you down.
4-0 out of 5 stars Episode II: What Are You, a Moron?
One of the most common complaints is that Xenosaga Ep. II's battle system is annoying and ponderous because "even in 'regular' battles, it forces you to spend many turns Stocking just so that you can do decent damage to enemies." This is actually a form of codespeak. What these people are really saying is "I'm not very bright, and even after several hours of playing Ep. II, I somehow never realized how to use the battle system efficiently."

5-0 out of 5 stars Aht Urghan the Next to Final Frontier for the PS2
I have been searching for this game for forever. No stores in my area carry it and the only option is to order it online from amazon.com. The bright side of this is Amazon has excellent service and lower prices than all the other sites. As far as the game it is the best thing that has happened to FF XI. The Blue Mage and Corsair jobs are awesome as well as the Puppetmaster which allows players another chance to solo in the game and not have to party all the time. This expansion is a must have for all FF XI users on the PS2.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible expansion
Just when I started getting bored with the game, this expansion comes out and basically revitalizes the entire game. 4-0 out of 5 stars AWesome dance pad but.....
Hi im am 12 yrsold and i have had mmy dance pad 4 6monts OK this dance pad is a really good dance pad, you dont have to slam on the arrows you can just tap it the only thing that i have a problem with is that it moves on more jumpy and intense somgs for example i will slide my dance pad up tp the front of my room start a song do the song then when i am dont i am towards the back of the room so yah but the dance pad comes with stick on grips so DEFINITLY put them on!! But other wise this is an awesome dance pad!
5-0 out of 5 stars the best pad for your money!!!
this pad is very light, durable, and lies flat on your floor no matter if it is a wood surface, carpet or your concrete garage floor, and also it doesn't slide, plus this pad is 100% better than those very very very very cheap zip-up pads by intec so whenever you step on a arrow you don't have to slam your foot on it for that arrow to press down you can just tap your foot on the arrows gently even on heavy mode which i was very surprised about so overall go get this pad it will not fail you and it is still lasting me and in very very good condition after 6 months of having it and playing it everyday!!!!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Worked at first but then...
I bought 2 mats about 6 months ago. They worked great at first,I really liked them. But about a month ago the back arrow stopped working, so I just used my other. My friends and I stopped competeing and just took turns with the one mat.Now my other mat started having problems with the same back arrow, and its not working.I can see one breaking but two...?How frustrating!!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Half A**ed...should make it Half Price.
EA Sports, with their exclusive license to produce NASCAR games continues to churn out run of the mill games, with little to no realism.
3-0 out of 5 stars IS EA STUPID? ANOTHER NASCAR NOT UP TO HYPE
NOTE TO EA SPORTS- NASCAR SEASON STARTS IN FEBRUARY NOT SEPTEMBER. Why do they keep putting this game out when the season is just about over? By that time the game is already dated because of so many driver and sponsor changes. Once again EA does not understand the sport of Stock car racing. EA is lucky there is no competition on the market so they can put out anything they want and call it NASCAR. This game misses so many fundamental things that make nascar unique. But Ea has missed the mark on so many games but are lucky no comptetion exists.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Game
I enjoyed this game.It was a lot of fun.The game looks better than last year. There is this cool blur effect that makes the game look very fast. The driving controls are much better than last year. And all the driver's have ratings now. It's about time. Now I can take advantage of Tony Stewart's road course expertise.I recommend this game. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars hot game
this is defenetly a nice game. iv always been a big fan of shooting games espesually the non stealthy ones which i find incredibly boring and frustrating. i mean forget about sneaking very quietly behind a guy and strangling him, instead, blow his @$$ to hell!shooting people non stop with big hot guns i mean whats better than that? the only down side of this game that i could find are the missions. they are great realistic missions but the reason i dropped a star is because the missions are just to damn long. there 8 missions in this game and they take like 45 min. to an hour or more to beat which is a problem if i gotta go somewhere i gotta quit and start all over. they should make like 20 missions and make them like 15 min. to a half hour. other than that great game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very fun game....but definitely with exceptions
First off, this is a great fist-person shooter...especially for a console. The missions are excellent, with plenty to do and are very time-involved. Even the easy mode can be challenging every now and then. There is a decent amount of weapons to use, even though you only have access to maybe 3-4 of them on each level. Here's the problem with this game...it all ends there! There is minimal replay value. Yes, you can replay each level at harder levels, but for what?? There are no bonuses, and hardly anything worthwhile to unlock.
