3-0 out of 5 stars the SIMS but not the Sims!! Where did the original makers go??
After seeing a few reviews on here I see I am not alone.SIMS 2 was nothing at all like the first Sims. The Sims are supposed to be virtual people. In the beginning they started out in moms house and went from there to learning, cooking, and basic people skills.. then moving out they find careers, promotions, get excited about life, have a hard time keeping money lol, get married and have Children (if they choose). All in all you are addicted. You love it because it is REALISTIC.SIMS 2 promised to be even better. Whatever SIMS lacked it looked from the package to have. And I even hoped they'd add pets as they did with the kewl game the URBZ.But no.This game is a disappointment and I hope that the makers do read these reviews. Here in short is what we want... we want a realistic sim, we want them to actually care or get excited that they made a new dish or got a Promotion!!, we want them to have relationships that seem to matter..not be swingers so to speak. Even when married the SIMS just still seem so single. The emotions are just all wrong.. the first SIMS had emotions much more believable.. frustration, bordeom without dying, crying without getting hysterical, and real happiness when they were doing well in life. The makers must have been totally different or just never played the original themselves. Also, the outfits are way to runway model and when your sim is not totally slim the clothes look horrific. I keep my slim kate moss just so it looks okay in the game lol.I just dont get how fast the game goes either!! You meet everyone and see every house WAY before you have even gotten your first career mastered and now I am at the end with no where new to go or no one new to meet but still need to master another 6 careers with 6 levels or promotions each, not to mention other things Ive yet to do to HELP the strangers my SIM meets.. even though Ive tried to meet ALL gold goals.AND ONE BIG THING.. if you are late for work and you have mastered all the skills for that career.. and you get fired.. guess what.. you will never gain your skills back once the game strips you of them. It will show all the stars and say you did but when you go into career it will show that you are still stripped of them and you will NOT get your PROMOTION no matter how hard you try to erase that day you were late!! GOD what a frustrating game.I play it because Ive won every SIMS Ive played.. and they were all great.. bustin out was not as good but the pace and the excitement and happiness of the SIM was great.. the URBZ was totally different and very challenging.. But this SIMS 2 was supposed to be the best ever ever and it was not at all.VERY disappointed. We just want it to be realistic!! When my sim becomes a supermodel at her last promotion after all that work she just stood there at the car and changed her clothes.. where did the jumping up and down and being so happy its silly go?? lol.. we like that kinda thing!!Heck Id be happy in real life to get a job as a Mayor! LOLSIMS 2 pets I am hoping and hoping.. is more REAL!!!!And maybe there will be a life for the SIM beyond the pets??God I hope so.LOL.KEEP MAKING THESE SIMS electronic arts!! But please hire the guys who did the first one!!!!!HELP!!

3-0 out of 5 stars well.....
i'm 11, so you probably don't care. but i think it's pretty cool. i like freeplay better though becase te story mode is hard!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars true totally different
I'm agreeing with Linda who previously wrote in. It's interesting to see - I have Sims2 for PC and Playstation, and I liked the PC one better too, however, with that said, and if you approch this as a completely seperate game it's fun. It's a strange this going on at Maxis, Gameboy, PC, and Playstation each have a totally and I mean totally different game by the same title - Sims bustin out, Sims2, etc. Very odd. I didn't expect that either. The only way to play these is to realize none of them are the same at all. I liked the PC version more too, but this one is enjoyable to me as well, but not the same game at all. Same deal with the Gameboys, all Sim games totally different. Interesting choice on the maker part. But, hey Maxis, keep em coming, I like all of them, but it takes some getting used to for sure. . . also I had to find a walkthru on yahoo. I wish they sold the book, because on this one for playstation there is a "correct" way to do things. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Im new to this but I was disgusted by the lack of matches for women.
When I first found Smackdown vs Raw 2004 at Walmart, I got it and made tons of female wrestlers and I used them in TLC matches and the cage match and some of the others. But women are not available in most of the matches. I saw the scenes on Lucifer's Custom, and thought I could do the barroom and back stage with women but I was upset to find out that women are only available in a few matches. I am on my third game now, I got mad at it first cause the custom character mode was slow. The second time was cause of my characters were computer controlled when I chose for it to be manual. Thus concludes my lousy review.

5-0 out of 5 stars Quality time for having fun is my option!
Anyone who think Smackdown vs Raw 1 was so called good, this game is 10,000xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx times better than part 1 eventually cause many reasons why it is. Because unlike part 1, this has balance good longer season, title bouts, new good matches, more characters, & futhermore really damn good gameplay unlike part 1's gameplay which was down right bad & awful.
5-0 out of 5 stars Smackdown vs Raw 2006
What I like about the game is you get to fight people in the game. You also can fight people in title matches. My suggestion for the game is that it would make the game so much better if you could fight in the crowd. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars You can't turn jumps off!!!
Even though you can't turn the jumps off, this is still pretty good.Unfortunately you can't use it with all brands of game pads.So far, my Gamestop brand pad worked, but my friend's had a different brand that didn't work with either Extreme 1 or an older demo disk of DDRMax..I liked that you could dance to Culture Club and Duran Duran and other cool songs. This is still a great game to get even if you can't turn off what you don't want.

5-0 out of 5 stars DDR is the best
Our daughter can't get enough of Dance Dance Revolution. This is really a great cardio workout for kids (and adults) and they don't even know that they are getting exercise. All the neighborhood kids visit us and all the want to do is DANCE!

3-0 out of 5 stars c'mon ppl this game isnt all that
first off i would like to say that this game is fun up to a certain point, and also the levels arent all that challenging which doesnt live up to the games name "Extreme" and for starters the only thing special about this game is they added a graph of how much calories you have burned "wow". i dont play this anymore because i brought ddr max2 which is off tha chain!! i play that all the time and this one is on the shelf collecting dust ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The GREATEST GTA installment!!
This is my First introduction to the Wolrd of GTA, and I Loved it!
5-0 out of 5 stars Ah, the moonlight...
I feel romantic, driving through the city in the rain with the moon in view, Emotion on the dial. I'm ashamed to admit I spend most of my evenings helping the coppers chase down wannabe's in front of the mall, 50 bucks a pop for a citizen's arrest and I just keep kicking em while they're down, cha-ching! I've bought all the properties with just the results of my do-gooder vigilantism. See, this game rewards a higher sense of morality.

5-0 out of 5 stars What you need to know about this game
I loved this game. It was well made and insanely broad in what you could do with it. If you aren't phased by fantasy violence then you'll probably think the game is a lot of fun too. But I will never let my children come within 10 feet of this game and you probably shouldnt either. Here's why.

5-0 out of 5 stars My 5-Year Old Boy LOVES This Game
My son loves this game! We rented it first from Blockbuster and now he won't let us take it back, so I ordered it from Amazon.com so I can take the game back soon to Blockbuster! I have to help him through some of the areas, like when the penguin is fishing, but I don't mind because it's FUN.

4-0 out of 5 stars only a 1 player game
We rented this game for my kids to play with each other. The game is labeled 1-2 players but is made for only one player at a single PS2 console. The kids are disappointed because now they have to take turns watching each other.Be aware.

1-0 out of 5 stars I need to give it a zero
Where's the option to give this product a zero?It only goes as low as one.So a "one rating" is what this product will get.
2-0 out of 5 stars Is very fickle...
I bought this card for about 8 bucks elsewhere and I have found it is selective in what game data it corrupts and what it doesn't... I've played both Japanese and American games on it and about 75% of the time it works perfectly. It's good if you have way too many games and never enough space and don't mind taking a test run of the save feature to see if it will pull through for you or not.

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk. Plain and simple.
This card works fine up until the 10 mb mark, then it corrupts any data you put on it.If you delete some space then it works again. This is basically a 10mb card posing as a 64mb card.Stay far away, I even emailed datel (twice) with my problem and I haven't gotten a response. This is memory card is completely worthless.I'm very shocked retailers sale this card as I'm guessing more than half of them are returned. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best PS2 games ever
GTA: San Andreas truely is wonderful. When I got the game I couldn't stop playing it. The "sandbox" do whatever you want style is wonderful. Missions in San Andreas are for the first time ever in the GTA universe FUN!!!!!! I enjoyed most (even though some are stupidly hard). Another great thing about the game is it has something for all types of gamers. Those who want to get everything and beat the game one hundred percent and those who just want to pick the game up for a few minutes and have fun. The controls are vastly improved upon than that of the the other two 3D GTAs with the abiltity to not "auto aim" being a welcome addition. The language is sometimes over the top vulger and I would not recomend it to other children out there as it is a very adult game. GET IT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! ... Read more

Alright, just know that this is a simulation game, unlike Need for Speed, so remember that you almost ALWAYS have to brake before a turn, unless on the test track.
3-0 out of 5 stars Becoming wooden, and a bit boring
Yo!I've been gaming since I was in my teens. And I didn't get a Playstation until 2000, when the PS2 was super hard to get.
4-0 out of 5 stars hey, it's pretty good
When I first got this game, it was kind of boring in the arcade mode, but when I discovered the simulation mode, it started to be pretty fun.the only bad parts is that when you dont have a very good car, than you have to do the same race over and over again to get some money.Other than that, it is a very good game and I recommend it to anybody. ... This add-on to the original is needed to complete several quests, and adds new adventures. You already know how much fun the original is, this adds new jobs, as well as new items, and it is needed to get your ticket to Khazam.

4-0 out of 5 stars A solid expansion, although a bit disappointing...
Chains of Promathia is a fairly solid expansion released by Square Enix for their Final Fantasy XI MMORPG. With this second major expansion (Rise of Zilart being the first expansion) for the series, SE (Square Enix) attempted to introduce several new missions and quests that may be attempted by low/mid-level players, increasing content and play for the more "casual" players. Note: There are no new job classes nor did the level cap change with this expansion (Currently at 75)

4-0 out of 5 stars Just a quick note BURNOUT 5 I did not actually rate this game to my opinion
Just for all you Burnout fans and if you're not, buy the game, plop it in to the console and glue your eyes to the screen for the next 6 hours.
4-0 out of 5 stars A worthy follow up to Burnout 3
Burnout 3 was undoubtadly a crowning achievement in the racing genre, and Burnout Revenge proudly carries the torch. Boasting another glossy, bug budget package; Burnout Revenge features pretty much everything veterans of the series would come to expect. There's some improvements to the gameplay here and there (Eliminator is much better here), but for the most part Burnout Revenge plays identical to it's predecessor. Oh yeah, the game looks great too. The cars look great and the various modes of play are still oh so much fun, but for the most part there isn't anything here that we haven't seen before. Burnout 3 was ahead of it's time, and while Burnout Revenge doesn't really do much to improve on a formula that didn't need many improvements to begin with, it's still one of the best racers and driving games you'll find on the PS2 today. Whether you're a longtime fan or newcomer to the series, Burnout Revenge is a treat, and it's worth picking up.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Racing Game EVER!!!
This game is GREAT. It's perfect for anyone who's a Burnout fan or if you just wanna let all your anger out at rush hour traffic without hurting anyone. For people who hate traffic, check out "Traffic Attack" mode. If you just wanna get your race on, rhere's lots of sweet tournoments and races. What really makes this game great is the crashes. In fact, this game is all about crashes and playing dirty. It's also breathtaking how hast you can go. Overall, I can't find anything wrong with this game. This game gets a 5/5. Nice work, EA games. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Ace Combat Zero
I highly recommend you get this game if you like air combat games.
5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Military Flight game EVER!
First off, this game has a very intriguing plot, as in it will keep you going. Second of all it has a LONG storyline (19 levels.) You get to play as an unnamed mercenary called "The Demon Lord." But a cool part is that after you shoot down enemy aces, about halfway thru the game you get see interviews of them. My favorite part is that you get to unlock many planes: prototypes, stealth, air to air, and air to ground. I give this game 2 thumbs up!

5-0 out of 5 stars Exelente
Really it is a good game on war, buy it since it(he) is very good.

4-0 out of 5 stars Addictive, certainly fun, but annoying and frustrating at the same time
As I approach 40 years of old, I shudder with the appropriate self-loathing.
1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible game
I don't even know where to begin with this game.It was horrible in every aspect I can think of.The best level was the first one, where you are going up the beach. The rest was completely aweful. The AI was horrible and charged me only to get killed.I never had any support. You are all alone in the game and no one is there to help you, unlike BIA and COD.Soldiers rarely were sent on huge missions alone in WW2.This game had no real aspects of the war and was not well made.It is the first game that I couldn't even force myself to finish.I do not recommend it to anyone. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Uh... Too Hard?
[...]
5-0 out of 5 stars you lot dont know how to play
the fact is, Americans dont have a clue how to play soccer, thats why you guys find it hard.
3-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
The game is fun only when you play exhibition mode. The actual game is way too hard unless you are super experienced in this type of game.I am not so I have a REALLY hard time beating the easiest teams. You can try to score up to 50 times before actually getting it in the goal.If you buy this game you may also have alot of frustrating moments.for example:I was using Argentina and I was going against South Korea.I kept trying to get the ball in the goal over and over again but it always missed. On the other hand South Korea Tried to get a goal two times and got them both. The game has a very real feel that is fun for a while but gets very annoying.I would say only get this game is you buy a lot of soccer games. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars A great idea reduced to a miserable atrocity
Yes, this game is sadly an atrocity. Anyone who has played the first X Men LEgends would know that the game is actually very fun. Legends 2 is no different. However, there are far too many glitches in this game. Activision should've had a recall. This is just poor programming and testing on the part of Activision. I'm not sure if they would acknowledge it, bu there are far too many glitches. IE: Once you get into hard mode, the game constantly freezes. This is inexcusable. Equally appalling are the other bugs. Jean Grey's Mental Mastery (increases damage done by mental power attacks) does not do anything. Putting points into the last 4 bars of her Dark Phoenix skill doesn't raise its effectiveness by any means.
3-0 out of 5 stars Word of caution for novice buyers
I know nothing about computer games, I bought this for my little brother. I don't know how he feels about the game itself but he was hugely disappointed (initially) that it was NTSC and his PS2 is pal (we're from East Africa). So for those novice buyers out there, make sure the games you buy are compatible with the systems you have. It's fine now, cos he'll get the system on his PS2 changed, but that initial disappointment sucked for all of us.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this. DO NOT buy this.
This is one of Marvel's more pathetic attempts at a video game. And probably one of the worst games out there as far as PlayStation2 is concerned. Why? Because while the gameplay and controls are fun, the actual game itself is filled with glitches, sub-par graphics, and some levels are almost impossible to get through unless you have a stroke of luck and find out what exactly you are supposed to be doing.

5-0 out of 5 stars On the difficulty issue...
Most of the qualities of this game have been addressed but I want to reply to the main complaint about the difficulty level of hyper street fighter. When I first started playing it I understood all the complaints because the computer was owning me in the second stage on the easiest setting. But, I think there is actually a glitch with the difficulty setting in the game. The good news is that I think if you start Third Strike first and then exit to Hyper Fighter the glitch is negated and you get the real difficulty setting. It's just speculation on my part but the game was much easier on this attempt. Another explanation might be that I changed the turbo setting to turbo 1 and then turbo 4 and the difficulty was appropriate in both of those modes as well.
5-0 out of 5 stars Street Fighter 3 alone is worth the money
As an earlier reviewer noted, this is not much of a collection, but it is an excellent game to have. Street Fighter 3 is probably the "classiest" Street Fighter series ever made - while the action is not as fast-paced as the Alpha/Marvel series of games, it is perfectly balanced and oozes "technique" from its pores.
5-0 out of 5 stars Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Is a mixture of the Original Street Fighter mixed with Street Fighter Alpha and Marvel Vs Capcom. I simply Love it. ... Read more
