5-0 out of 5 stars Best GBA Racing Game I've Found!
I've done Need For Speed: Porshce Unleashed, which was pretty good, but not as challenging; GT (a Japanese version), really lame; GT Advance, fair; GT Advance 3, pretty good, but poor graphics and low realism; Mario Karts, actually the most fun before I tried Top Gear Rally, although very low on realism. Top Gear Rally is by far the best, yet. The graphics are excellent (as far as GBA goes), the physics are very good, and the game is quite challenging. I like racing games that let me sit in the car. That's how I drive a real car, so that's how I want to drive a virtual car. Need For Speed gives me only the in-car option. GT Advance only shows the outside view. Top Gear offers a choice. I don't particularly like the music in some of the other games - it gets really annoying after the 50th time. The fact that Top Gear has no music while driving is not a problem for me. I prefer to hear my engine revs so I don't have to watch the tach or speedometer. The little pseudo-map in the corner is pretty useless to me. I'd rather have a full course map, or at least a larger section map, like GT Advance, but this is a rally, not a closed course, so the map thing is generally worthless.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best racing game 4 GBA
This is the sweetest game! You can earn cool cars as you advance through the levels! The levels are challenging, fun, and exciting! If you are a racing fan who is disopointed with GBA's poor graphics for their race car games try this out.
4-0 out of 5 stars No Music?
I love this game--the first I bought with my GBA SP. Regarding car believability, compare to GT Advance 3 Pro Concept which has the worst sprite-like autos. I swear I can see the image jerk when I go into a turn on that game. You wont have that problem here. And the environments can be great--half the fun of a good rally game.

5-0 out of 5 stars My first GBA game
This was my first GBA game and I was stunned by the amazing graphics this game featured. It has the best control set-up out of any GameBoy game I've ever played. The race cars are cool and the tracks are amazing. The have obstacles but not too much. The snow tracks can sometimes be tough when you end up slipping on the ice. The key to getting the best turns is to press the "A" button repetatively while turning instead of holding it down. FOr more hits about racing, press the SELECT button at the title screen to access the secret tutorial. I would recommend this game because it is the best racing game I've played on the GBA.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good launch game brought down by apoor soundtrack.
While I still play this more than most of my Game Boy Advance games it is a little disappointing.Yeah yeah yeah the speed is excellent and its pretty fun but thats about it.Its really not as good as any of the other F Zero games Ive played and I think its because of a poor soundtrack.I really liked the music in the past 2 F Zero games but the music here was just too bland and it was mostly drowned out by the sound of the vehicles engine.I know that a soundtrack isnt everything but to me it adds more fun to the gameplay.Hopefully the new F Zero game coming out in September will be better but if you play your Game Boy Advance a lot and like racing you should still buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars F Zero the good and the bad.
Well after about 3 years of waiting the sequel to F Zero X is finally here. Now that I think about it this game was like a tasty little appetizer to F Zero GX which is a game that came out last year.Where do I start?Oh the graphics.I happen to think that they are better than the ones in the SNES classic which came out in 91 but obviously not as good as the graphics in F Zero X or F Zero GX.Yeah I know F Zero X got a lot of complaints about it not being detailed enough but when you think about it the graphics were just really colorful and had some scenery that really stood out like the skull in Devils Forest, the statue in Big Hand or the space station in Big Blue.I still think the graphics in this game really look good for a portable system.Yeah they may not be gorgeous as the ones in Metroid Zero Mission but to me they still look great. And now for the controls. They are everything youd expect and want from an F Zero game.Really good and easy to use.The game really gets easier when you find out that you cant just hold the A button down at all times you have to repeatedly tap it.And it also easier when you get used to the fast paced speed and sort of memorize the tracks which is easy for me cause I have like a photographic memory. And for the hovercraft. You dont get to unlock as many vehicles as you did in F Zero X or F Zero GX but that doesnt matter. It admittedly loses a little replay value after you unlock all the cars but if replay value just means that it keeps you coming back for more then this game has great replay value.Yep this is one of the best if not the best racing game for the GBA because its one you will definitely want to play again. ... This game isn't bad but on the other hand it isn't good either. The graphics on this game aren't so good and you have no idea of where to go. (the arrows don't help either)

4-0 out of 5 stars Quad Power Racing Is a Hit!
Finally! A great racing game for the GBA that you will definitely enjoy. This is by far the best game I own. I love racing games and find the graphics to be crisp and vivid. The option of getting better quads with better traction, speed, and steering is cool because as you progress, your equipment does also. The game allows you to get passwords so that you can start off where you finished and it is really fun and addictive. I played it for about 2 hrs straight after buying it for [$]! What a bargain! the steering is very sensitive but you get used to it. It really does become challenging as you progress because you need to qualify to move on. Definite recommendation!

4-0 out of 5 stars ATV review
I don't know Gameboy Advance well, but we bought the ATV game to amuse us for a while on a trip (my 6yr old son like the semi-similar snowmobile game at the local arcade). The next thing I knew my mother in-law (aged 74) was testing it out... a little difficult for the 6 year old, but I like it (aged 43) as does my daughter (aged 11). I think it is a better use of the gameboyadvance than the Harry Potter game or Spongebob (we own both). Bill Hartel ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars AWSOME!!!!!
I just bought this game and was surprised at how cheap it was only $10.00 ,well it is the best game ever.It is a 3D pilot game that reminds me of the arcade games i used to play when i was 10 ,and it is sorta like starfox. But seriously , its the best game ever, action every second, laser flying by , power ups ,and it is especially great on the gameboy player for game cube, it just feels like an arcade game, so basically its great.1-0 out of 5 stars oh my.....
This game is one of the worst games I have ever played.I got it on clearance for $...and I still felt like I had paid too much. This is NOT comparible to Star Fox for the SNES.If it was, this would be one of the biggest titles for the GBA.For a shooter, the aim is one of the worst programming jobs I've ever experienced. You can't aim because your cross hairs are constantly drifting to the middle of the screen.I got so frustrated that thoughts of pounding my GBA repeatedly against a sidewalk was seeming like a resonable plan of action.Simply put:WORST GAME EVER.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
Star X is a aracade style fly and fry game which is very similar to Star Fox for the SNES.If you liked that, you will like this.It has the same forced forward scroll levels, as well as some free flying ones in space. There are several different weapons that you can pick up to increase your fire power. There are nine planets, with a challenging boss at the end of each one.A free flying space level follows each planet. My main gripe is the password based save. ... This is a very entertaining game. I'll agree with previous reviews it is somewhat difficult, but once you've learned the controls and experiment with different cars, its a truely fun game. 3-0 out of 5 stars An O.K. Game
This game was O.K.It is pretty tough.I thought it would keep me entertained, but I got bored quick.I still will say that it was a pretty good game though.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good basic racing game
Corvette is a nice, simple little racing game. It consists of eight "areas" of the US, each of which has three "challenges". The areas get sequentially tougher, and each one you beat unlocks a new Corvette.
3-0 out of 5 stars It's ok, but not your best bet.
This game is ok. Can get kind of boring after a while. Not the greatest in racing though.I haven't played too many racing games for the GBA system so I can't really compare it that well, but I would have to say my favorite racing game of all is Top Gear 2 for the Super Nintendo.
4-0 out of 5 stars Average racing game

2-0 out of 5 stars THIS REALLY ISNT THAT GREAT
I DONT LIKE THIS GAME IT IS BORING

3-0 out of 5 stars To Buy... Or Not To Buy.... That is the Question
This game if not very a very good single player. The graphics are somewhat like Mario Cart Super Circuit but just do not seem as good. The tracks seem intersting and maybe if the person buying it was younger(6-10 years old) and liked Shrek more... maybe they would enjoy this game more than the older gamers (11-14 years old... Its price is reasonable but it the racers are tiny and are sometimes difficult to see without squinting. This toy is not very educational because all it shows you is how to handle a GBA... Also ALL GBA Games are durable (they do not break as easy) so that is why i gave it 5 StArs-*~ Overall I did not really like this game but it is your own choice. It basically depends on the audience.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun Multiplayer, mediocre single player
Let me begin by saying description of this game being only 1 and 2 player is wrong. I have played this game with 4 of my friends, and the multiplayer modes are a lot of fun (Knight's Tournament, and Parfait Getaway more so than Race). It is ashame that the single player mode was not as good. However, there are some interesting levels. If I were younger, I probably would have enjoyed this game a bit more. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun & Cool,No Upsets
The people in charge of making American Idol: The Game made it as best as they possibly could. First of all, you get to pick your gender and your wardrobe, and then you start singing in the "audition" round. If you do well, you go on to sing in another round with another song and another outfit. This pattern continues, but the songs get faster and harder. Some might ask, how do you play this game?

Ok, first things first, it's got music you've heard of. Great. It's got bad graphics. Paula looks like an old Charlie Brown Comic. Simon looks like a pixelated monster. I have this game and a game boy micro. The screen is small, I know...smaller than the Advance. But, I can't imagine this game would look any better even on the Advance handheld itself. It's just ugly. Most of the stuff you see is blocking and blurry, to the point where it's hard to drive without running into stuff constantly.

The graphics in this game are on a par with those in Need for Speed Underground for the GBA.Which means that the 3D objects are all very blocky and blurry, but they move fluidly enough. The gameplay is alright, but I found NFSU more fun.The feeling of real speed seems to be missing from this one. Also, the invisible walls on side of some of the tracks drive me crazy.Read more

This is a 2D side scroller that's easy to beat, hence little replay value.Basically you use tricks to outclass your rivals.Rent it if you must try it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but too easy
I think this game is really fun, and very colorful, shows off the system nicely. This installment of the Motocross Maniacs series has a few new tricks, and some great looking new levels, but lacks the level of competitiveness of the old version. I still have the black and white original, and it is more fun to play over and over than this version. This game is just TOO easy.... I beat it in about an hour, and because I trounce the competition so easily, I don't really want to play it again. If you have young kids, this is a great game, they will like it and not get too frustrated. Otherwise, try Mario Kart if you like racing.I would have given it less stars if it hadn't been really fun the one time I played it. ... Read more

To start with, the graphics for the CARS are excellent and it will blow you away even when you are picking one of the eleven cars to drive, like a police car, a 70s bus, a beetle, a Rolls Royce and a taxi cab. You can chose auto or manual transmission, then you play the game, and the graphics and the sounds for the course are so terrible its like playing Atari, the graphics are blocky and the game itself moves slow! Also unlike the other Cruisin' games where you go straight along a course, these are circular tracks (you do four laps) in places like Las Vegas, Mars and Ireland. In each of those cities are several racetracks that you can progress along. The options are the normal options, no difficulty options, but there is a "car damage" option, which adds realism to the game. The bottom line is terrible graphics, probably the worst for Gameboy Advance or the old Gameboy, simple play control, lots of short circuits. Avoid this game and get one of the two other great racing games from Nintendo, F-Zero and Mario Kart Circuit!

1-0 out of 5 stars LAME LAME LAME
Hi people, I just played this game. Beleive me... its REALLY bad. You wont get the cruisin feel. They chose to use a DOOM engine on a racing game and although the idea sounds GREAT, it didnt turn out to be as I had hoped for. Every time you bump against the walls (which by the way, the game is 95% square tunnels) the car slows down almost entirely making the cruisin fade. It should be called "Parkinvelocity" since I didnt feel any velocity throughout the 5 mins it took away from me until I got frustrated with how bad it was. I undestand that a handheld has limitations in racing games, but GT ADVANCE and HOT WHEELS ARE AWESOME and those are made for the same GBA so... I wont take that excuse.Read more
