I liked GT3 AND loved! GT2, so let me begin by saying this game does not measure up...
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Simulator for PS2
I love this game, it is by far the best simulator on PS2, if not the best racing game on the system. The graphics are gorgeous, even on my 16 year old TV. Unlike GT3, you really get a sense of speed, which makes all the cars fun to drive.

5-0 out of 5 stars Killing people never gets old!
How do you follow up a runaway success like 2001's Grand Theft Auto III? Rockstar North responded a year later with GTA: Vice City, a game that took the gameplay of its predecessor and expanded it considerably. At the same time, Vice City gave the series an extensive and amazing stylistic makeover, drenching the experience in the sights, sounds, and attitude of Miami, Florida from the mid '80s. So where do you go from there? You take it statewide. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas expands the series' concept to encompass three entire cities, as well as the countryside between them. The gameplay similarly expands, packing in some explosive set pieces and amazing action-movie-like thrills while maintaining that same remarkably fun, freefom GTA feel. In short, Rockstar has done it again. San Andreas definitely lives up to the Grand Theft Auto name. In fact, it's arguably the best game in the series.

1-0 out of 5 stars Half A**ed...should make it Half Price.
EA Sports, with their exclusive license to produce NASCAR games continues to churn out run of the mill games, with little to no realism.
3-0 out of 5 stars IS EA STUPID? ANOTHER NASCAR NOT UP TO HYPE
NOTE TO EA SPORTS- NASCAR SEASON STARTS IN FEBRUARY NOT SEPTEMBER. Why do they keep putting this game out when the season is just about over? By that time the game is already dated because of so many driver and sponsor changes. Once again EA does not understand the sport of Stock car racing. EA is lucky there is no competition on the market so they can put out anything they want and call it NASCAR. This game misses so many fundamental things that make nascar unique. But Ea has missed the mark on so many games but are lucky no comptetion exists.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Game
I enjoyed this game.It was a lot of fun.The game looks better than last year. There is this cool blur effect that makes the game look very fast. The driving controls are much better than last year. And all the driver's have ratings now. It's about time. Now I can take advantage of Tony Stewart's road course expertise.I recommend this game. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars French Connection meets Mario...
For those who have the time and patience to learn the ins-and-outs of this, it is great, realistic racing. My favorite part, though, is going one-on-one in trying to outrun the cops.It is wild and very reminicent of the famous chase scenes from French Connection I and II.Playing this way never fails to draw an audience from whoever's in the house at the time, and they end up getting wrapped up in it, too, cheering from the sidelines with enthusiastic advice like "Look out!", "Watch out for the road block ahead!", "You've lost him!", etc.If you're not playing, it is still great to watch!p.s. I initially bought this for my son, and got hooked watching him play.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Need for Speed yet!
This is definitely a game for racing fans and people who love tuning cars. In this game they actually have the exotic cars (Porsche, Lamborghini), which makes it even better. They also added cops in this game, which they never had in the previous Underground games.
3-0 out of 5 stars Need for Speed: Most Wanted
I have been enjoying playing this game. Once you get used to the speed brake and the nos button, your on your way to mastering this game. This defenitly beats Need for Speed2: Hot Persuit.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Flight sim ever!
This definetly the best air combat game I've played. Though not strictly a flight sim the physics are close enough that it feels real enough and is still crazy fun flying around. The game has an arcade mode where you simply blast planes and boats till you get shot down or meet your target kills. Of course it's the story mode that sells this game which I can't simply go on enough about. Though not that useful in a fight through radio chatter you really get a feel for the personalities of each of your wing mates. There's about 30 missions and it starts off quick with one of your teamates being shot down early and you having a mission to try and retreive them begind enemy lines. Thanks to the enemy secret weapons such a nuke capable sub some battles feel epic as I neared the climax my heart was racing. Though maybe not the best written story in a game I've ever come across it's rare I've ever been so drawn into a story before. An absolutely amazing game

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game is Awesome!!!
I got this game a few weeks ago after i got back from space camp.I love planes and this game has tons.Over 50 planes to unlock and buy. this game is a must have!!!
5-0 out of 5 stars This takes more strategy and skill than Ace Combat 4
The best thing about this game--even more so than with Ace Combat 4--is how it demands you use strategy in addition to making appropriate choices in which planes your team flies.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Racing Game Ever!!!!!!
This game is so fun!! I could not stop playing it. It has many awsome upgrades and cars. It is definetly worth the money. the only down side is no cops but other than that it is awesome!!!
5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
The only problem I had with this game. I use a steering wheel and it keeps locking up but with the game pad it doesn't.
5-0 out of 5 stars this is a pretty cool game
in the game you can customize your car and i thought that was really cool. i got stuck farther into the game and so now it is boring. you really have to be patient while playing the game because you have to find stores and win tons of races.

I have all the "Grand Theft" games and this is one of my favs.I highly recommend it and all the others.I recently purchased "Liberty City" Awesome!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great way to release stress!!!
The best way to play this game is to skip the missions and just start havoc in the city.Fight the gangs and police, attack the citizens and steal cars!!If you are able to find some of the cheat codes off the Internet, then this is where the fun really begins! These secrets can give you armor, weapons and even a tank (this is only listing a few)!As always parents, research a video game before you buy it for your 7 year old.

5-0 out of 5 stars A real review
Ok don't listen to these reviewers because well 2 are obviously from the same kid who likes LA Rush. And the other one is just whiner. If you are as good as he says he is he wouldn't crash all the time. This is bar none the best street racer out right now. If not all the cars are useful then why would you even want to buy them all anyway! I like the only having 30 car garage and all the cars handle differently so you can get ones suited to your play style. Special powers, drafting, nitrous and two wheel driving make this pretty deep racing. NFS all the cars handle terribly and they use the Rubberband system like it there job. You crash once in that game no matter how far you are ahead you can bet on one car passing you or being on your tail. This game has pretty long races so if you mess up you can usually get right back in it. All the traffic and swerving cars makes this extremly exciting and action packed racing. Oh and motorcycles are just awesome to play with but NFS wouldnt know that cus it doesnt have anyway. A must have for any racing fan.

3-0 out of 5 stars this game is OK
ok this game is pretty much the same as the first but they added 24 new vehicles and a couple of new songs and they've added tokyo as a new city.if you dont already own the first then i would buy this one or if you have the first version and it screwed up and you wonna play it or somethin then yeah.but its almost the same exact thing so whatever its a good game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun but could be better
have replace the game twice. it will not let me go to the options screen. game is still fun but would get 5 stars if it worked all the way!!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars the SIMS but not the Sims!! Where did the original makers go??
After seeing a few reviews on here I see I am not alone.SIMS 2 was nothing at all like the first Sims. The Sims are supposed to be virtual people. In the beginning they started out in moms house and went from there to learning, cooking, and basic people skills.. then moving out they find careers, promotions, get excited about life, have a hard time keeping money lol, get married and have Children (if they choose). All in all you are addicted. You love it because it is REALISTIC.SIMS 2 promised to be even better. Whatever SIMS lacked it looked from the package to have. And I even hoped they'd add pets as they did with the kewl game the URBZ.But no.This game is a disappointment and I hope that the makers do read these reviews. Here in short is what we want... we want a realistic sim, we want them to actually care or get excited that they made a new dish or got a Promotion!!, we want them to have relationships that seem to matter..not be swingers so to speak. Even when married the SIMS just still seem so single. The emotions are just all wrong.. the first SIMS had emotions much more believable.. frustration, bordeom without dying, crying without getting hysterical, and real happiness when they were doing well in life. The makers must have been totally different or just never played the original themselves. Also, the outfits are way to runway model and when your sim is not totally slim the clothes look horrific. I keep my slim kate moss just so it looks okay in the game lol.I just dont get how fast the game goes either!! You meet everyone and see every house WAY before you have even gotten your first career mastered and now I am at the end with no where new to go or no one new to meet but still need to master another 6 careers with 6 levels or promotions each, not to mention other things Ive yet to do to HELP the strangers my SIM meets.. even though Ive tried to meet ALL gold goals.AND ONE BIG THING.. if you are late for work and you have mastered all the skills for that career.. and you get fired.. guess what.. you will never gain your skills back once the game strips you of them. It will show all the stars and say you did but when you go into career it will show that you are still stripped of them and you will NOT get your PROMOTION no matter how hard you try to erase that day you were late!! GOD what a frustrating game.I play it because Ive won every SIMS Ive played.. and they were all great.. bustin out was not as good but the pace and the excitement and happiness of the SIM was great.. the URBZ was totally different and very challenging.. But this SIMS 2 was supposed to be the best ever ever and it was not at all.VERY disappointed. We just want it to be realistic!! When my sim becomes a supermodel at her last promotion after all that work she just stood there at the car and changed her clothes.. where did the jumping up and down and being so happy its silly go?? lol.. we like that kinda thing!!Heck Id be happy in real life to get a job as a Mayor! LOLSIMS 2 pets I am hoping and hoping.. is more REAL!!!!And maybe there will be a life for the SIM beyond the pets??God I hope so.LOL.KEEP MAKING THESE SIMS electronic arts!! But please hire the guys who did the first one!!!!!HELP!!

3-0 out of 5 stars well.....
i'm 11, so you probably don't care. but i think it's pretty cool. i like freeplay better though becase te story mode is hard!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars true totally different
I'm agreeing with Linda who previously wrote in. It's interesting to see - I have Sims2 for PC and Playstation, and I liked the PC one better too, however, with that said, and if you approch this as a completely seperate game it's fun. It's a strange this going on at Maxis, Gameboy, PC, and Playstation each have a totally and I mean totally different game by the same title - Sims bustin out, Sims2, etc. Very odd. I didn't expect that either. The only way to play these is to realize none of them are the same at all. I liked the PC version more too, but this one is enjoyable to me as well, but not the same game at all. Same deal with the Gameboys, all Sim games totally different. Interesting choice on the maker part. But, hey Maxis, keep em coming, I like all of them, but it takes some getting used to for sure. . . also I had to find a walkthru on yahoo. I wish they sold the book, because on this one for playstation there is a "correct" way to do things. ... Read more

Alright, just know that this is a simulation game, unlike Need for Speed, so remember that you almost ALWAYS have to brake before a turn, unless on the test track.
3-0 out of 5 stars Becoming wooden, and a bit boring
Yo!I've been gaming since I was in my teens. And I didn't get a Playstation until 2000, when the PS2 was super hard to get.
4-0 out of 5 stars hey, it's pretty good
When I first got this game, it was kind of boring in the arcade mode, but when I discovered the simulation mode, it started to be pretty fun.the only bad parts is that when you dont have a very good car, than you have to do the same race over and over again to get some money.Other than that, it is a very good game and I recommend it to anybody. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Just a quick note BURNOUT 5 I did not actually rate this game to my opinion
Just for all you Burnout fans and if you're not, buy the game, plop it in to the console and glue your eyes to the screen for the next 6 hours.
4-0 out of 5 stars A worthy follow up to Burnout 3
Burnout 3 was undoubtadly a crowning achievement in the racing genre, and Burnout Revenge proudly carries the torch. Boasting another glossy, bug budget package; Burnout Revenge features pretty much everything veterans of the series would come to expect. There's some improvements to the gameplay here and there (Eliminator is much better here), but for the most part Burnout Revenge plays identical to it's predecessor. Oh yeah, the game looks great too. The cars look great and the various modes of play are still oh so much fun, but for the most part there isn't anything here that we haven't seen before. Burnout 3 was ahead of it's time, and while Burnout Revenge doesn't really do much to improve on a formula that didn't need many improvements to begin with, it's still one of the best racers and driving games you'll find on the PS2 today. Whether you're a longtime fan or newcomer to the series, Burnout Revenge is a treat, and it's worth picking up.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Racing Game EVER!!!
This game is GREAT. It's perfect for anyone who's a Burnout fan or if you just wanna let all your anger out at rush hour traffic without hurting anyone. For people who hate traffic, check out "Traffic Attack" mode. If you just wanna get your race on, rhere's lots of sweet tournoments and races. What really makes this game great is the crashes. In fact, this game is all about crashes and playing dirty. It's also breathtaking how hast you can go. Overall, I can't find anything wrong with this game. This game gets a 5/5. Nice work, EA games. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Ace Combat Zero
I highly recommend you get this game if you like air combat games.
5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Military Flight game EVER!
First off, this game has a very intriguing plot, as in it will keep you going. Second of all it has a LONG storyline (19 levels.) You get to play as an unnamed mercenary called "The Demon Lord." But a cool part is that after you shoot down enemy aces, about halfway thru the game you get see interviews of them. My favorite part is that you get to unlock many planes: prototypes, stealth, air to air, and air to ground. I give this game 2 thumbs up!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game for Flying Fans

Bought the Fast and the Furious game yesterday and HAVE BEEN BLOWN AWAY! As a drift racer in real life, this is THE GENUINE ARTICLE. Anyone who wants to get into drifting, NEEDS The Fast and the Furious! Leave the roll up races on the freeway and get drifting up in the Japanese mountains. You also need to know how to customise your car to make the most of the game. Its AWESOME! Give The Fast and the Furious a spin - learn about Drift Racing and smoke the opposition!

2-0 out of 5 stars Mr. Disapointed
The game did not do the "Fast and the Furious" name credit. Visually to rough for the eyes, not smooth. Sub par graphics. Did not feel any real sense of speed. Gald I didn't pay $39.99.....................

4-0 out of 5 stars Resembles Tokyo Xtreme Racer series
I got this game the day it came out and so far it's ok.I thought it would have more like a NFS feel to it, but it more closely feels like the Tokyo Xtreme Racer titles. That's not really a bad thing though b/c I enjoy the Tokyo titles.I don't think it's worth $40 though. For half that it would be well worth it.But I am enjoying it though so I don't feel too cheated although I was disappointed in the feel of the game.So far all I have been doing is driving around finding shops and such and finding roll up racers along the highway...meaning you do the same thing as in the Tokyo games...find a racer driving along the highway, come up behind him and flash the lights at him to accept the challenge...then you're racing and trying to get so far ahead of him.I also found that at certain points along the highways, you take a left into racing hotspots where rival crews await you to challenge them.Once you beat the crew members...usually around 4 guys...you get to challenge their boss.If you win, you get his/her car. That's a nice plus indeed although you can't modify their cars further.Graphics aren't too shabby but not the best either. Also, when racing, the screen is really rough and jumpy.I prefer a smooth race screen. Not bad game, but not super either. If money is tight, just go get similar titles such as Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 or Zero or even Drift which are pretty good games and wait for this title to go down in price. Also, if you are looking for an NFS style racing title, look elsewhere. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Fun but frustrating
This game is pretty good! The jumps are awsome and missions are okay.A cool game for DUKES OF HAZZARD fans. But still the game can be very frustrating at times. For example, THE CONTROLLS!!!
5-0 out of 5 stars Serious Dukes Fan
We got this game for our son, he's 15 and has loved the Dukes since the first rerun he ever saw. He has the PC game, but likes this one way more. It is fun and more challanging than he thought it would be. Our little ones will even sit and watch it as he plays. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Burnout 3 Takedown
I rented this game before I bought and liked it so much I just had too buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hit, Crash, Win
First off I don't know who put that stinkin rating on the game cause the one I got's rated T not M. I dont know what the xbox version's like thisso i'll tell you the ps2 version. The game is a sim (simulation if you didn't know, and if you didn't know you're way to young and dense to play this game). When you race, you have many options like regular, road rage, time trial, elimination, sprint, face off, and grand prix. You also have 100 crash levels but i'll get to those later. To unlock all of the cars and win all the awards, you have to go into the Burnout 3 World Tour where you try to get gold in everything as events are unlocked all over the world you eventually have to leave the USA and go to Europe and the Far East. While racing, you can takedown a rival or take other risks to grow boost on your ride. Takedowns are when youget a rival driver to crash either into a wall, off a cliff, or just about anythind that gets him, even though he comes back in the race after the crash. You can also crash, but you can use aftertouch after you crash to try to get another car, their are a bunch of other things about racing, but i'll let you get to that on your own.
4-0 out of 5 stars Burnout is fun, yet it still missing something!
Maybe Burnout doesn't hit me as many other reviewer on here or maybe the fact that racing game might not be my favorite type.Regardless burnout is pretty much getting old.The crash are one of the most spectular aspect of this game, and i have to admit.Though my fav mode of this game is the race itself. In fact i absolutely found nothing in the crash mode that make it worthwhile. In fact i believe that the crash mode is just extra.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a fun game for people who like cartoon racing plus a little cartoon violence. You drive around in a car and can use missiles and through bombs.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't Go Near this game!
No matter how cool this game looks like, don't ever buy it. When I first looked at it, I first thought it would be like the classic, fun Crash Team Racing, little did I know I would be ripped off. The gameplay is boring, the controls are unresponsive, and there are not as many tracks. The sound is BAD. The characters repeat the same taunts over and over again.(especialy Coco)To sum it up,(you'd get bored to death if I told you everything I hate.)if you are a huge Crash fan, and you love kart racing, get Crash Team Racing(PS). If you're still a Crash fan, but you don't really like kart racing, get Crash Tag Team Racing(PS2). And if you don't like Crash, but like kart racing, get Mario Kart Double Dash!!(GC)Like I said, don't go near this game!
2-0 out of 5 stars not for me....
i really didn't like the game.. i thought it was going to be more like a crash badicoot level game .. instead it was racing a go kart i guess i didn't think about that when i read the title.oops my fault. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst racing game I've ever played!
I've been playing racing games since Apogee's Death Rally, and that game, which came out in the early 90s, is more fun than this one! After you get past level one on the career area, the players get pathetically and unrealistically hard, to the point where the game isn't fun anymore. The racing courses are horribly designed. It's set so that if you don't follow the EXACT course they want you to, you will lose.I don't know why they bothered to design all these extra areas if you can't go into them! And if you reset, you get put back so many feet your lead, if you were even able to get one, is gone, or if you're trying to catch up, you never will!
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
This game seems as though it couldn't decide if it wanted to be an arcade style or sim style racer. On the one hand you got arcady style battling and trying to hammer opponents off the road,on the other hand controlling the vehicle is difficult at times cause its more sim like.I really like the game though cause you can battle with other cars to knock them off the road but at the same time its not to outrageous like the cart racers where you fire weapons and stuff. One great thing is that its got a decent online set up which many of todays racers are lacking. If you have online access i say its a must buy and becomes a 5 star game,if not its still a good addition to any racers collection and about a 4 star game.Mini games are hard but cool and add alot more variety and replay value then your average racing game.Burnout fans should like this game and GT 4 fans who want a break from the sim racing and play a fun less serious racer should get a kick out of this title. ... We made the unfortunate mistake of spending actual money on this game.It has no challenge.Once you're in the game, all you do is drive around in a circle over and over again.HIGHLY RECOMENDED: DO NOT EVER PURCHASE THIS!!!!If you do, you will regret it.
