5-0 out of 5 stars The Sims 2 is awesome!!
This is actually her daughter Kris and I ve been playing it for a long while and i can say i didnt get it off here but i bought it in a store and i thought i would be disappointed by it but actually i was utterly thrilled by it!! Its the greatest sim game that was every created plus i am to believe that the expansion packs of the sims 2 will be even more enjoyable than the sims 2. The sims 2 is even better than the sims; it gets you up close and personal with the sims and the 3D version is alot better as well. The sims 2 is the most greatest simulated game ever made!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally Addictive!!
I bought the first Sims and loved it so when the Sims 2 came out I just had to give it a try.And you guessed it I loved it.I love the family and neighborhood interactions. The graphics are great.Being able to create your own community lots has really increased the game play.If you enjoy role-playing then this is the game for you.But beware hours and days can fly by and you will not realize because it is totally addictive.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game changed my life and my grades lol
Thanks to this game, I was going to sleep late and forgetting my college work at that time. When the first SIms was out, it was a groundbreaking genre. Totally open-ended and you control the lives of people called SIMS. With the updated graphics which are phenomenal and some tweakings but not much, the game still is one of my favorites that I still play today. Whenever I am playing it my fiance loves----wooohooo. Its hillarious and Im surprised no attention was put on this aspect. Instead more attention was on the cheat code that takes the block off the naked blur. geez cant people find something else to wine about. The sims parts are not even represented (yeah Im guilty of using the code lol).

5-0 out of 5 stars One of their best expansions yet
EA Games has to be the best game company out there. They take a great thing like The Sims (the original) and make it even better with each expansion and with the new Sims 2 and their expansions.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another piece of the pie...
It's interesting how the Maxis empire has evolved over the years. The very first expansion pack way back when was pretty revolutionary - it seemed like not very many companies were doing such a thing as releasing expansions. And back then it gave what the users were demanding - new objects.Today our demands are much higher as consumers, yet Maxis still doesn't *entirely* listen. It seems like with the Sims 2 their strategy is to release one new aspect of the game that fans have been wanting for ages - while still leaving out a big chunk of things people desire.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Great Game!
My sister got Sims 2: Open for Business for her birthday. As Sims fanatics, we wanted to control how our Sims worked. In the Original Game, we even made pool centers- complete with hot tubs- but we would have to use cheats to get any money; we couldn't charge other Sims for hanging out. This expansion puts a whole spin on the game, adding in an whole new part to the Sims. As previous review said, for a couple of hours a day, your Sim would just drive off in a car, and come back 9 hours later saying that he's made $374.

1-0 out of 5 stars buyer beware
The copy of SimCity4 that I purchased came without the access codes to support instillation. When I called Electronic arts all I got was an automated phone system... press 2 now... EA's manufacturing quality control is so poor that they had a selection for products without access codes! I could never find a way to talk with a human beibng about the problem. The automated voice suggested solution was to send the product to them at my expsnse to prove that it came without the access code! I have returned the game to Amazon for a refund. I would never buy another EA product.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the BEST GAMES
OK, let's put it straight. This game is very organized. It contains lots of options for transportaion and civic structures. The graphics are pretty darn good and the sound is mildly decent. But then there are the downs. It may get a bit sluggish when the city is VERY BIG!!! So, this game is still very good.
4-0 out of 5 stars This game was good!
For those that have have played similar games like Sim City before, this one was great! I have played Sim City 2000, but that was years ago. I had found that game addicting. Now, years later, when I ordered Sim City 4: Deluxe Edition, I was blown away! This game is much better than 2000 could hope to be. They have resolved many of the issues that I had with the older game and then some. I have found this game to be addicting to, and have started different cities at the same time. I am working on getting the "perfect city" for me to be happy with. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of any of the Sim games. I could even say at times it was funny even to read the tongue-in-cheek sayings that come up just as you are starting up the game for the day like "Bureaucratizing Bureaucracies". It was not so much hilarious but, it can help you get in the "fun mode" to play the game. The advisors can get slightly annoying after awhile, especially when you have a different idea about what you want to see in your city than they do, but it is still overall a very entertaining game. My next purchase will most likely be Sims 2, for more of the Sims experience. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What a surprise!
My young son bought this with his birthday money because he liked the dinosaur on the cover. His 11-year-old sister took over rather quickly and figured it out completely on her own.She now helps him with the necessary reading. They spend hours playing this game and now they're asking about the new Zoo Tycoon 2 that we've seen in the stores. There's so much to do and learn (and keep track of) with this game.I played it for the first time myself the other night and found that the time just flew by while I was "playing."I highly recommend it!Good stuff.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nice for the kids
I bought this shortly after it was released at a Target store--paid about $15 for it.I really like the castle collections, as I, too, was bored with the clouds and other dull collections. While you can produce a really neat collection for the castle, it's really hard to make a more adult themed room.I am in agreeance that it would have been better to have it as a downloadable expansion from their site. I am a die-hard Sims fan as well and I have even pre-ordered the Pets from EA.So far, this is the only expansion that I haven't been head-over-heals for.I am anxiously awaiting the release of the pets.

1-0 out of 5 stars Sorry, Sims fans, it's a complete waste!!
Quite simply, I have bought EVERY SINGLE Sims game (including game console versions and handheld versions)and I have never been disappointed, until now.I'm such a Sims fan that I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed before this purchase.I can tell you that this "add-on" is nothing more than re-painted versions of already existing furniture that you have. The last time I checked, you can go on several websites and download many, many things just like this, for free (not to mention, do it yourself).Do NOT waste your money.Me?I'm waiting for the pets, hopefully that won't be such a let-down.

2-0 out of 5 stars Save your money - This Stuff Pack is SHAMEFUL!
I bought this right after I bought Open for Business thinking that it would be a great compliment to my game. Boy was I ever wrong! There is a good reason why Maxis didn't give more previews of what would be in this stuff pack - it is a couple of low-poly, hideous objects, outfits, and recolors. I have spent more time on research papers than Maxis/EA did on this stuff pack. Would it kill them to make some quality hairstyles or even some new linens for the beds? If you want high quality downloads for your game, save your $20 and use it as a payment for a paysite or even go to a free site. The custom content offered on fan sites puts Maxis/EA to shame. Never again will I buy one of these stuff packs - it is basically stuff that is left out of expansion packs so that Maxis/EA can squeeze more money out of Sims 2 fans. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Less is More
The new zoo tycoon 2 definitely has great graphics and it's also definitely more fun -- but I think it's more fun for the younger set!I loved the first zoo tycoon and that would still be my preference -- it required a lot more thought and strategy to complete the goals and keep everyone happy.Over the years I completed all of the scenarios.I bought zoo zycoon 2 because my [...]grandson was visiting. He enjoyed it, but I still haven't been able to get in to it myself. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars A graphics dinasour
After having only known, played, and become a die-hard fan of The Sims 2, I bought this TS1 collection out of sheer curiosity.Boy oh boy was I surprised when I installed it.I never would have guessed the huge difference in graphics quality (or lack thereof) in this game in comparison with The Sims 2.I've never seen such a giant leap in game and graphics quality between game versions until now.I'm SO glad I already have The Sims 2, along with all of the expansion packs and add-ons, to keep me entertained, but this was at least worth the cost to check it out and to collect. It also comes with all of the expansion packs already included, too so that's a big time/money saver.I may fiddle around with this version a bit more in the future, but I'm quite thoroughly satisfied with The Sims 2 and it's hard to take such a big step backward graphics-wise and quality-wise and still have as much fun.So I'm only giving this 3 stars.

4-0 out of 5 stars Still Fun - Even After The Release Of TS2
The Sims is old, yes. And after the release of its sequel, still playing TS1 probably seems pointless and boring, as it doesn't have nearly as many features as TS2. But still, even without the fancy 3-D graphics and complex features, I have continued to find TS1 just as fun as I did the day I bought it... 5 years ago, and sometimes find myself playing it more than TS2, for a couple reasons:

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Monotonous
I bought this game a few weeks ago expecting a game I could play all summer. I got bored with it in three days. All you do on this game is tell your Sim to eat, sleep, go to work, take a shower, use the toilet, and watch TV. While your Sim is at work or sleeping you watch the time go by. The graphics are horrible. You can hardly see your Sim. The only fun things in this game are that you get to build your houses and make out with girls. You do the same things every day. Don't waste your money on this game. The Sims 2 is much, much better. ... Read more

Este juego es muy bueno, le falta para ser parecido a la realidad pero en general es divertido y te muestra rápidamente como sería la administración de un negocio.

2-0 out of 5 stars This game sucks
I played this game and the graphics aren't very good. It froze a lot too.

3-0 out of 5 stars I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. . .
I picked this game up fairly cheap for the PC (I think I paid five bucks for it) because I had heard many good things about it.I loaded it up on my desktop computer (which is only about a year old and not that slow, after all, I had just put in a new video card) and started playing it.I loved the dialogue, the witty banter, and I was generally having a blast playing it until it started to slow waaayy down as I started moving through the game until the characters were moving so sluggishly and swinging their weapons so slowly, they all looked like they were in slow motion (like some of the other reviewers have said.)I gave up on it and took the game to my laptop, which is newer and has a faster processor. It started off at what seemed to be normal speed. The Bard was trotting across the screen and swinging his flail at a rapid pace. Then about chapter four, it started slowing down again, all the way to a point where I couldn't play it anymore. All the fun had been zapped out of it as it took a good hour to swing and chop at four wolves in the forest.Sadly, I abandoned it for the PC, even though I was having a lot of fun with it up until then.I don't understand why it has so many problems running on a PC.Everything was sluggish, like the characters were moving in molasses.I turned down all the game settings, but it didn't seem to help much.If I want to see the game all the way through, I guess I'll have to break down and get it for the Playstation.

3-0 out of 5 stars Game has features InXile hasn't marketed!!
The following is a letter I sent to programmers for "The Bard's Tale".I believe it adequately reflects my feelings for this game:
1-0 out of 5 stars Promising Game- wrecked by implementation
I was an original Bard's Tale enthusiast, and really wanted to like this game. After I got over the fact this was almost NOTHING like the original game, I just looked at it as a new game. Unfortunately, this is basically a console gamer, as others have stated. Absolutely none of a PC's capabilities were used- every house, village and dungeon has to be loaded EVERY single time. The view cannot be changed, and none of the 'standard' PC mouse/cursor interface seems implemented at all. All in all, I was very disappointed. I periodically try and revisit it again, because I DO like the humor, but it's just too painful to play. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Railroad Tycoon 3 Reviewed After A Month
This is a strategy game that involves building a railroad empire while playing the 19th/20th century stock market to your greedy advantage. The graphics are pretty good, the campaign/scenarios are fun the first time, and the economy simulation is honestly the best I've ever seen. After I completed the campaign and finished the scenarios though, I got bored of it.Once you master the complexities of this game you'll see that the seeded economy isn't all that great at providing a unique game each time.To be honest though, this is the best tycoon game I've played yet...and unfortunately I've been suckered into playing many of them.

This is one of the more enjoyable ways to learn principles of business.I think it will be addictive.

1-0 out of 5 stars The game stinks
I loved Railroad Tycoon 2, but I absolutely despise Railroad Tycoon 3.The graphics have been greatly improved, but that is the only positive thing I can say about the game. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Crime Solving Game
This game is so addicting, I almost finished it in one day! The crimes are reasonably hard, not too hard so you get frustrated but not too easy so you get bored. The graphics are excellent, characters are just like on the show. My only problem with the game is that there are only 5 cases!

2-0 out of 5 stars Barely makin it
Although the game itself is awesome, it doesn't play well on my PC.I've had to purchase a new video card just to play it and my PC just isn't as up to date (2 yrs old!) as it needs to be since the makers of the game have made it for newer PC's and obviously to heck with the others.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good but not as strong as the other CSI games
This is a great game, don't get me wrong. It is well worth the money. However, I liked the other CSI computer games better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and Exciting!!!!!!
I thought this game was really fun! You can customize any rollercoaster you can think of, build ferris wheels, snack bars, t-shirt stands, and theme your park with scenery and decorations! You can have a game with unlimited money, or for more of a challenge, with money restrictions! You can even name your rides and your park guests! Sometimes, your roller coasters jump a brake or go off the track and people get killed. I thought this game was really fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is AWSOME!
I love this game. I like it because it teaches you how to make a sucessful park and how to manage money. My favorite part about this game is the place were you can make rollor coasters whithout distraction. Buy this game! A kid's review.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Business Simulator
This title is less of a game than it is a tool for immersing yourself in a business environment. This is good because this was how it was advertised to me before I bought it.That said, it is very good at the latter, and fairly decent at the former.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
A good game for people who wnat a challenge in business. This game has many dimensions; stock market, retail, manufacturing, wholesaling, media management, apartment/commmercial building management, etc. You can even buy out your competition and have control over them or sell to them.
1-0 out of 5 stars Utterly worthless, wasn't even fun for an hour
The installer worked great, and that's all I can say for

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow.... A real award winner!
This is by far one of the most suprising games I have ever played. The graphics aren't spectacular, but they're pretty good. No, the aspect of the game that amazed me was the gameplay, and the puzzles. I came across this game a year ago, and having played many tycoon games decided to buy it, expecting the typical mudane tycoon game that has some crippling bugs (game that come to mind include cruise ship tycoon, mall tycoon, airport tycoon, etc.)
5-0 out of 5 stars Intelligent fun if you like physics and science
Make sure you get the cheats to keep a lot of cash in the bank. This game is totally addictive.

1-0 out of 5 stars NO tech support
Game sounded good but have not been able to play it.Bought it for my kids for Christmas and installed on two computers.I'm having serious video problems on both machines that render the game unplayable.Called Viva Media and got a message telling me the best way to get support was by email.I have emailed their tech support 3 times since December 29th (today is Feb 5) and have received only automated responses that tell me to be patient. Well, we are working on week six...

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it lots
Holy #@%& this game is cool! I love how it is cool, interesting, fun, challenging, informative, and really awesome. It is very different from Pharaoh in that in Pharaoh, the people are mindless drones, you have a solid mission, and it is not as detailed as CotN. In CotN, you can do what ever you want, your people are intelligent, you can make a more realistic city, and you die. My only complaints would be there is now instruction manual on the Editor (where you create scenarios), you never fight battles in your city, and the World Map is not as detailed. Otherwise, this is a totally great game.

5-0 out of 5 stars An awesome game
I bought this game about a year ago [ironically, I got it through a school "book week" thing]. The first time I played it, I played the first tutorial, and then the second, and so on. I quickly learned how to play. I would reccomend that this game be played by ages 12 and up [even though the "E" rating is appropriate for ages 6 and up] because the game is fairly hard. The way you place homes and facilities greatly affects the way people act. For instance, you should place Brick Makers near a plentiful supply of clay, Brick Layers halfway between the work site and the Brick Makers, etc. Overall I give this game a good review.

2-0 out of 5 stars Hmm, not so much...
Like all of the others, the game is very slow, even at its top speed, but that's not what turns me off to it.It's incredibly frustrating: you need priests and other graduates in your city to perform tasks the plebians cannot, and you can only entice them to come if you have enough prestige, which is about as easy to gain as gold from a silver mine.
