1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst Soccer Game in history
Menu: turn you insane, because the cursor goes down and up flashing and clicking without stop and that's sucks. so stupid thing that I ever saw.
5-0 out of 5 stars Football Glory
I've never played Fifa 2005, and i was very dissapointed with Fifa 2004. Before rewiewing Fifa 2006 in all fairness i wanted to log as many playing ours as possible, i've logged many hours over a month of playtime and i'm still amazed about the perfection of the game and the very bugs that i have found. This is the best football game ever, i must say i was impressed with "Winning Eleven Nine", but FIFA 2006 tops it. The gameplay is wonderful, in my humble opinion it is flawless, something of what the football gods would be really proud of. The Artificial Intelligence is spectacular, it will have you guessing all the time again and again, and if you think you can predict its next move, try setting a higher difficulty level. One common bug that people complaints about is the one that were the AI doesn't make any substitutions while playing unless the players get injured, but the AI makes subtitutions in change if you use the option of Quick Sim or Visual Sim a match which are great additional features. Don't try to play this game with the keyboard though, you will not appreciate it, buy yourself a controller, i did that for the first time just to play FIFA 2006 and i do not regret it. The game balances so many features and characteristics from individual players and teams, that you are going to feel that every match you play is different from the next, no two matches are the same, as in real football anything can happen on the pitch. EA Sports gave us back the Editor for editing players and adding in them to any team. The career mode is superb, you get to make many decisions which will determine your team trajectory on the league, you get your own budget, sponsors, etc. The manager grows in prestige and experience and has its own staff of coach experts in football concerning: Striking, Midfield, Defense, Negotiator, Stadium, Goalkeeper, fitness scout and upgrading the staff will translate in boosting your team's player attributes. Transfer system is excellent. Now you can sell, loan, borrow or buy players through browsing their particular contract conditions. Besides this, you can edit any team so you can keep up with the transfers from season to season, or just simply modify any team you wish. Other game modes are really rewarding and should not be overlooked or under appreciated. In tournament mode, you can customize any kind of tournament, wether that is from international teams (you can make a world cup if you want) or clubs from all the leagues which the game carries. The game includes a look back at the past of the evolution of the FiFA games back from 1994, which is really nostalgic to see. Football memorable goal moments from the present and recent past top players of football are also included. There are also video highlights from the Premier, German and French league. The sounds are excellent. The narrators don't get annoying anymore instead get you immersed in the game. The game's soundtracks are really catchy.
3-0 out of 5 stars Low Quality Disks
I purchased this game and it would not even install, reporting a missing file on disk 2. I guess they do not quality control their game CD's such that it is hit or miss as to whether or not the game will install for you. Since they did not respond to my tech support request emails, I just borrowed a known good copy and installed it using my CD key.

just like my title says, its fun and very creative and does not repeat the same over and over again like most other games out there.

4-0 out of 5 stars FIFA is catching up to Winning Eleven...
This is probably the best FIFA soccer game yet from Electronic Arts.Whereas in the past, Winning Eleven ran cicles around FIFA, the latter being plagued by arcadey gameplay and simple controls, this iteration of the venerable franchise actually has a good bit of substance.

4-0 out of 5 stars Alot of fun needs more features
this game is really good i didn't think it will be as much fun as it is in the playstation but its great the only flow i see is that it needs to add a more realistic way for the season i mean i think it should add the ability to buy players from other clubs and sell some players from your club if that is available this game would've been the best soccer game ever ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I Never Thought I'd Like Soccer
I have never been a fan of soccer, nor the few games I'd tried on various game systems. I just get bored with it very quickly. So, when I was given this game as a hand-down, I decided to take it and try it out. I didn't expect much from it, but I got a whole lot from it. The graphics are pretty nice for one, and it looks like a real game on TV. Plus, for the first time, I found a soccer simulator that was actually fun and almost addictive. It's a great game and fun on a rainy day. The only minor complaint I'd make is that the controls are hard, and it takes a while to get used to and finally score some points.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun, when it's not frustrating
WE7 is a hugely addicting game. With the ability to create players and customize clubs, and the engrossing master-league function, there's a lot to keep a player coming back.
5-0 out of 5 stars Exit FIFA, Enter Winning Eleven 7!!
I have to admit EA sports FIFA series has definitely been a center of attraction for football gamers around the globe for quite some time. Now after Konami has introduced their line of Football games starting with Winning Eleven 6 they have dominated since. The quality of Winning Eleven 7 has put EA sports FIFA series to shame because of it's realistic Football gameplay. The graphics are not quite as good as EA but realistic gameplay is all that matters and that is why this game gets 5 out of 5. There are a few bugs but it's nothing Konami can't fix unlike EA who keep transfering those bugs to every new game and don't really know how to fix them. This game is worth every penny unlike EA's games which should be worth a penny in comparison. If you are a true footie fan then you will enjoy everything this game has to offer from passing to scoring goals because in this game anything goes and there is no specific formulated way of scoring goals!! All I can say now is EA step aside 'cause Konami has taken over PERMANENTLY!!! ... Read more

Okay graphics in this game are very good. Gameplay kept me up all night playing it!!! This game is AWSOME for players who like to play soccer ( I love soccer played it for 6 years)But even those who dont really like soccer will like this game!

2-0 out of 5 stars All the season in a day
This game isn't all that great. It has a time limit of 2 minutes per half. You can play over 10 games in a day. In backyard baseball you can barely get 1 game in. This is also a very easy game. Occasionaly you get a really good team that beat you in the shootout which is really hard. This game is like beep. Only not. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Control Bugs Ruined It For Me - BAD game
Configuring the controls is bugged. I am used to FIFA 2002 controls, and I tried to reconfigure the controls in this game to mimic FIFA 2002, but controls are basically bugged. It SAYS that the "W" is for sprinting in the settings screen, but in the game, it's actually "E".1-0 out of 5 stars Fifa 2003, not a game that seems to be in 2003...
Alright, I will tell you a lot of things about this game. I dont think anyone would like this game, as it is a much lower ranking than Fifa 2002 World Cup. I mean longer loading, less goal celebrations, less crowd clapping, etc. The only thing this game has that the older soccer games dont have is somewhat better commentary. If you want a good soccer game, turn to Fifa 002 World Cup, and you can go on there and also read my review for that game (its the somewhat long one), trust me, you will like it a lot more than this game. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The most addicting management game just gets better!
The AI of this version of WSM 2006 is the biggest improvement compared to past versions. It is no longer a sure thing to dominate the league in 3 years. Instead injuries seem to be more costly and training more comprehensive and customized. Add to the fact that playing just one tactic over and over will not always give the best result like in times past. There is still the huge data base of world players to sign for your beloved team. Plus the half time and post game talks are nice to motivate your team. Put it all together and you will find yourself sucked into the black hole of soccer management for many an endless day. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Fifa 2001
Fifa 2001 provides great excitement for the user.It has all of the leagues like the spanish and english leagues. You can play a world cup tornament, and use all of the International teams while paying in that tornament. You can play a season with any team you want. This game has great graphics. It provides player celebrations after goals, and yellow and red cards. You can custumize the teams uniforms as well as the players. You can make them have long hair, short hair, facial hair or no hair. You can change the skill level of the players to make them beter. You can change the game settings like the weather, the time of day, and how long the halfs are.Options for half lenth are 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 6 minutes 8 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or 45 minutes. Overall it is a really fun game to play.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice graphic is the only factor saving this game
OK, here we go, you are a real soccer player, right? So, of course, you want to control the game the way you wish to. This games does NOT let you do so. You have a BIG brain for soccer strategy? Throw it away, man! It will be so useless if you are playing FIFA 2001.5-0 out of 5 stars Fifa 2001
Fifa 2001 is a great step-up from EA's previous Fifas. The graphics are better and the gameplay is a lot better. There are over 60 international teams and many leagues from European and North/South American leagues. They have all the players with their full names, and the players have life-like attitudes in the games. The graphics are smoother and there is a great improvement on the audio. Also you can play versus other people over the internet through EA's website. This is a great game. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game, needs some tweaking
This is a great game. The graphics are good and gameplay is good too. Considering its the only soccer game for the mac its great! However, this is not like your playstation FIFA game. First its top view and it definitely has a learning curve. I just got it and am playing on the slow/easiest level and it is still difficult. Also the instructions stink. 1-0 out of 5 stars Beware of the MAX requirements for the game as well
I bought the game bundled in best of EA Sports 2002.The good news is I got 4 games for a better price than individual. The bad news I got stuck with a bad FIFA game. 5-0 out of 5 stars FIFA 2002
I have been playing FIFA soccer titles since the 1997 edition. This is by far the best. It is also the toughest to play. I don't mean the controls are difficult or that the game is unresponsive. I mean the AI is superior and the ball goes where you aim. Getting the ball in the general vicinity is not going to cut it. A player from your team in the general area of a pass is not going to get the benefit of the doubt, giving him an edge getting to the ball. The upside is the rush when you make a beautiful through pass and know it was your skill not a generous program that made the pass. I have been playing FIFA soccer through so many incarnations that I usually start the game at professional level and soon advance to world class. Not with this one. It is a very challenging game and one I am not going to get bored with anytime soon. 4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for 10 bux....
I bought this game at Media Play last week for 10 bux...it isn't too bad, but I'm glad I didn't spend the full price on it.It has some faults like the easiest setting it far to easy, but the harder settings seem to hard.I guess I still gotta give it some time.I have played 2003 over my friends house and I do like that one better, but there is no way I'm spending 40 bux on a video game, i think 10 is even too much. Overall though, I like the selection of teams and the leagues and all that junk. Definitly one of the best football games I ever played, but not THE best.It pisses me off that you can qualify for the World Cup but you can't actually play in it!!! Whats that all about??? Whats the point of qualifying???Oh well, overall I gave it a 4. Thats my rant, peace out ya'll!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars GOOD, BUT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
THIS GAME IS GOOD, BUT ITS NOT THE BEST OUT THERE. THE REASON I ONLY GIVE THIS GAME 4 STARS INSTEAD OF 5 IS THAT THE GAME CONTAINS ONLY THE TEAMS THAT QUALIFIED FOR THE 2002 WC. IT ALSO CONTAINS ONLY A FEW TEAMS THAT DID NOT QUALIFY BUT THE ROSTER OF TEAMS IS STILL LOW. THIS GAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING LIKE THE NEW FIFA WORLD CUP GAME, GERMANY 2006 WITH A ROSTER OF 127 NATIONAL TEAMS AND LETS YOU CARRY ANY TEAM FROM THE QUALIFICATION ROUNDS ALL THE WAY TO THE ACTUAL FIFA WORLD CUP FINAL. THE GAME DOES MAKE A EXCELLENT SOUVENIER FOR THE 2002 WORLD CUP. SO FAR I OWE EVERY SINGLE WORLD CUP GAME STARTING FROM FRANCE 1998 FOR PLAYSTATION. IS IT WORTH BUYING AND PLAYING, THE ANSWER IS YES!!! GO FOR IT.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fifa 2002 World Cup: a game that really scores goals!!!
Can you honestly believe playing an old video game is much better than playing a new one? Well Fifa 2002 World cup compares favorably against Fifa 2003 and some of the more newer produced games. The following reasons will elaborate and elucidate why.5-0 out of 5 stars Funny and easy game

3-0 out of 5 stars An improvement
Yes, it's not anywhere near Winning Eleven as far as realism is concerned. But it does a reasonable job of creating a fun competitive game. One major gripe for me is that the playoff system is setup all wrong. Like Portugal and Greece in the real Euro tournament, if the top two teams from one group win through in the playoff stage, they will meet each other in the finals. In this video game, the top two teams from one group will meet each other in the semifinal. Hard to see a reason for that except sloppiness on EA's part.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
It was nice to see EA trying to improve on the graphics and realism of the game. But the gameplay is horrible. It's very hard to control the players and the ball. The shooting is child-like almost. I'm a huge Euro and soccer fan, which is what keeps me into this game, but again, the gameplay is terrible. EA should send their game designers back to school.

2-0 out of 5 stars Again a disappointment
EA has produced FOOTBALL games since the beginning of dawn, and they have almost always been a disappointment. This time again. The gameplay of this game is insufficient. The option on your strategy arent available. Of course the game has its good things. The sounds and graphics are good, the fact that u play with the actual players superb. But, in the end, if u want a good football game go for Pro Evolution Soccer or for Winning Eleven. If u just want a simple game go for Eufa 2004, or even better (and cheaper) Fifa 2004 ... 4-0 out of 5 stars FIFA 2000
I have to admit I haven't tried any other FIFA game so I cannot compare FIFA 2000 to its predecessors (or its successors). But I have played Worldwide Soccer and FIFA 2000 is a lot better than that game. Worldwide Soccer seemed to much of a "kids" game whereas FIFA is more "grown-up". The American commentary probably sounds like something you hear from some of the "less-spectacular" sporting events you see on ESPN but I do prefer it over the British commentary. As far as the graphics, they are good. I have no problems with the game play, although in the more "challenging" modes (that is, other than amateur) the referee does seem kind of tough on calls. I did have a problem though playing the game at first. After I selected my control, the game will not go into the game but instead go back into Windows with a "device error" message. I solved this problem by reinstalling the program via the reinstall option of the FIFA 2000 Main Menu. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Soccer game!
I love this game!My computer's a little slow (I'm running on minimum requirements) but the game works fine. You can hook up a game controller to your computer and play from that.I tried it.It's great, except withthe game controller I have I can't do a few special moves (I think it'ssomething wrong with the controller, though. It sometimes messes up onother games.)If you have the special controller, you can play againstsomeone else on the same computer. You can also play against them on anetwork, and I think you can online (but I haven't tried that.)You cansave your best shots, your greatest moves, whatever, and see instantreplays of them any time! You can make your own team (It's not invincible;each player has a certain number of skill points that can be distributed todifferent categories. You can even change players' names and uniforms!) You can do tournaments, and with three levels of play, you can move up (onthe lowest level, you can outrun the other team. It's good for learninghow to play, but also pretty cheap.Fortunately, on the higher levels theother team can really run!)You can do lots of trick shots, or purposelyfoul the other team. You can change the settings so that your playersnever get tired out, or so that the ref doesn't give you red cards forfouls. You can change the stadium you play in, the time of day you playin, and even the weather (have you ever played a soccer game in the snow? be careful not to confuse snowflakes with soccer balls.)In addition toall that, you can change the camera views from a view from the goal to asky-high view to even a view where you ARE the ball (that's fun!)Whateveryou choose, you'll have a great time, and you can never really beat thegame, since there's always a higher skill level to play against. You'llalways have a satisfying game of soccer.

:) Aparte, no cuesta nada!

5-0 out of 5 stars No better soccer sim
FIFA 99 has everything: it's entertaining, challenging, and inexhaustible. In many ways, it's better than both playing and watching real soccer! The three English-accented voices providing the game commentary give it arealistic presentation. The graphics and motion of the players arelife-like, and the stadium chants and crowd roar is enthralling.FIFA 99is easy to learn yet difficult to master; you'll probably discover that themiddle level of computer difficulty is "just right" in terms ofplayability. There still aren't MLS teams in this one (added in the 2000edition), but FIFA 2000 overall is not a great innovation over this 1999version. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This game is unbelievable, the graphics are amazing, the music is only decent and gets repetitive but the ball control is awesome as are the modes.Playing with the national teams is so much fun

2-0 out of 5 stars disapointment
My first Fifa game was FIFA 96, and, every 2 years, I buy another. After seeing FIFA 2003 at a friend's house, I was really looking forward to the 2004's issue. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!
2-0 out of 5 stars Sorry EA, but get a clue!!!
I was so excited to get this game for my b/day, but was heartbroken when it wouldnt load on my computer. I learnt that EA is one messed up company! I called 7 different EA customer support lines before i actually used a voice changer to make my voice sound like a big man, not a kid. But anyways, the gameplay is horrendous! The fouls are totally unrealistic, you can go head on and slide tackle from behind, with not so much as a comment by ally mccoist on the refs contacts. (more on the voices later). But if you do the normal tackle, 80% of the time, you get some cheap foul called on you. And when i watch the replay, i see that my player came nowhere close to touching the other player. This really bites in online play, which isnt all that great. The off the ball control is pointless, because if you move a player open, once you send a ball to him, he gets magically covered! As for all the new leagues, that is a piece of crap! The all new leagues are like the minor leagues for the FA and Mexican league. They have 3 english practice squads! There is no international tournament that i have found, and you cant use real madrid in the club championship, because there is no club championship. Now my last irratation is the announcers. not to be rude, but what happened to the randy hahn, and brandi chastain. Its really hard to understand Ally Mccoist during gameplay, his scottish accent is so thick, it just sounds like a blur. I think this could have been a decent game, but the gameplay, menus, and overall rushed feel of the game ruin it. Id check out Winning Eleven 7, Its worth the extra 10 bucks. The lesson here, you get what you pay for! ... Read more
