Outstanding game, but takes a little patience.
If you played Jet Grind Radio for the Dreamcast, then you should be very familiar with this game on the GBA.The controls and layout are very similar to the Tony Hawk games on the GBA.You play the game on an isometric view which works very well, as long as you have the patience to understand how the play angle works.It is sometimes difficult to align your grind with platforms or reach certain areas because you have no idea if your character is too much to the left or too much to right of the platform you actually want to hit.Getting familiar with the controls is another task to understand in order to fully enjoy the game.But patience will earn you rewards of a great game, memorable characters, and a fantastic combination of J-Pop/Hip Hop tunes.Jet Grind Radio may actually get you hooked on Hip Hop music!This is one of my favorites games.

Great graphic, Good gameplay horrible controls.
In the end the effort put into this game falls apart do to the horrible controls.They idea behind them seem to be to duplicate the controls of the original console versions.However, in then the controls become anti-intuitive making it difficult to truely enjoy the game. Good, real good

HOW DO YOU BEAT THE END BOSS???
This game is a ton of fun and I've beaten every charecter in it dozens of times but i have one question:
Game is too hard. VERY HARD !
There's no easy level. I couldn't beat the first enemy. Everytime i try to pucnh, the enemy will ALWAYS block my punch. There is NO WAY to punch the enemy. Its supposed to be a boxing game, not a "hey beat me" kind of game. This game sucks because i couldnt play it. If i couldnt play it, 99% of gamers out there wouldnt be able to play too.

Do all of you people really believe this is a 5 star game?
OK, let's get it out of the way. Yes, this game is great looking. It is not only very flashy with large cartoon looking characters and backgrounds, but it has style too. The game has a lot of personality. It even sounds good, with a bit of digitized voice, and decent music & sound effects. The little story is kind of funny, but its more goofy than funny. Madden 2004 is not a good game. The graphics stink, the gameplay is way too easy, the sound stinks, and the manual tells you squat about the game. I am telling you, do NOT buy this game. It is a rip off!!!!!
a huge hit with a 7 year old fan
My son is seven and just got his first game boy system for Christmas.He received a few games with it- Madden 2004 and a Mario game.He plays the Madden game over and over.I was worried about it being too hard or that he might not think it was fun.(He tends to like racing games, and this was totally different).But I decided to give it a try since he had just had his first experience with rec league football.In his words, "It might be hard for kids under 7 years old.I like it so much that I play it everyday and every minute.My favorite part is getting a touchdown and winning.I also like the song because it is cool!"

This was the worst sports game ive ever played.I can deal with sub-par graphics.I can deal with the fact that the plays are hard to see.But i couldnt take poor controls, the inability to save your game (not all of us are able to spend hours playing games) and the stupid create-a-player "feature",although ive never liked the unlimited attributes you can give in the pc version-kind of takes the fun out of it.i always like NHL 95 because you were limited to an over all total to give your created players.anyways if you must buy this game,buy it used then you wont be as upset when you find out how lame this is. ... Worst Game EVER!!!!!!!!!
I had preivously played the Playstation version of this game and it's awesome!! Having only a few games for my Gameboy, I thought I'd buy this version. It's so horrible!! Fun Fun fun!
This game is wicked! Kicking the ball around is so addictive, kickups, volleys, headers, bicycle kicks its got the lot!! Lovely colourful graphics and superb sooper smooth gameplay. Platform hopper with a neat twist

Great
Awesome! Got hooked immediatly. There are 10 events, but Snowboarding Slalom and Luge are the hardest. Must buy for any winter sports fan!

This is very fun but it does get boering after a while. =) I just bought the game and the system and the mutiplayer is Great.

While the luge and speed skating portions of this game leave something to be desired, and the graphics and sound are "ok," the game play on the rest of the games is very enjoyable. Addictive would be a better word. The ski jumping and alpine ski are especially fun, while the halfpipe and figure skating are extremely challenging. Not ready for prime time
Another dismal bowling sim for the gameboy platform. The graphics are textbook Nintendo 8 bit quality. The game controls are pathetic. When you are not fouling you are getting a gutter ball. The alley looks twice as long as it should be with a little white blur to represent the pins. You have to press the A button to activate a blue marker that appears across the screen. When you decide where you want the direction to be you press A again but you better be quick as the speed and curve meter starts immediately. And it is fast. Trying to throw a straight ball is almost impossible. Instead you almost always foul. The lane is so long that if you try to avoid fouling you get a curve shot that results in gutter balls more often than not. Read more

Great BIG entertainment. in a small package.
I thoroughly enjoy playing this game.I find it very difficult to put it down.The game possesses the quality you'd expect from Konami.The sounds effects and music tracks are minimal but what is presented to you is cheerful and upbeat.The graphics are very colorful too.All of the characters in the game are female and are "Japanese Anime" inspired in design so "Manga" fans (like myself) might like it even more.

Nice & Easy (you know what i mean)
This is the easiest Tennis game available for GBA (even Snoopy is harder).I like it partly for the reason that I am 30 & can't win very many of these things anymore (including Snoopy Tennis).Mostly though, I like the graphics & game play.The players are kind of cartoony like a Mario game, but paradoxically the feel of this is more real & smooth, not herky jerky like the Davis Cup game.At the same time, there's the realism of having to win tournaments to improve your ranking, & the "characters" are real players who are mostly still around & doing well.Younger gamers (even boys) might like the stylistic portrayals of the players (they sure are cute), even though it's not much of a challenge. ... Awesome,chalenging, addictive game
Really fun game if you can get past the car driving levels and the third block-pushing level. The "Copy the Brickster's moves" thing is pretty dumb, but everything is fun in the game. It is definitely worth waaaay more than [item price]...

This game is horrible
This game makes no sense at all.No gravity, no storyline and no fun. This game is incredibly boring.The graphics stink.It is very hard to load an old game.You have to remember a little code that the game supplies and you can't even create something that you would remember.Do not waste your money.I hate this game and you probably will too. Hope I was helpful.

TOO EASY
This game is too easy ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP. Also, the level does not get any harder as you advance. It also does not give you much option such as off side, throwing in, Corner Kick, PK, etc. This game is too simple and too easy. It is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to loose this game even you wanted to loose......Graphic are also not so great.

Great game for kids under 9
This is a really great game for a younger gamer. The quest mode has a great story you go around the world playing diffrent teams trying to catch up with the evil brickster there is also a training mode and just single game mode to. But the bad part is I have beat teams 25-00 before in a 4 minute match. but overall it's a pretty good game.

Just simple fun
This is FUN.I guess this is the old NES game.After I bought it, I recognized it as an old Nintendo arcade game.I must have dropped a thousand quarters in that game during the 1980's.Anyway, this is an old game, so graphics and game play is very simple and straight forward.No stats, averages, swapping pitchers, etc... Just four different pitches.You can bunt and swing away.Steal bases, that's about it.The only strategy is not burning out your pitcher by throwing too many fastballs, and not making stupid running errors.Since I LOVED that old video game, I love this one.Don't buy it if you want great graphics and complicated controls. ... Good, but could have been better.
I purchased this game really cheap at Fred Meyers one day and since at the time I purchased it, when I was into Ultimate Muscle the Cartoons, I thought it was good but after returning to it after 4 years later, the game is not a great fighting game. The way the grapple system works is very hard to do so you may be stuck on the first stage until you understand it. Overall, this game had a lot of great potential, but it got wasted from the grapple system. If you want to try an Ultimate Muscle Game, Try Legends VS. New Generation or Galactic Wrestling featuring Ultimate Muscle instead of this one.

Better than console version
If you grew up in the 1980s, you may recall a series of tiny pink wrestling figures called M.U.S.C.L.E. men. More than 200 different characters were released, but the fad faded away quietly with the onset of the 1990s, quite possibly because there wasn't an accompanying cartoon series to maintain interest in the toy line. Recently, Bandai introduced Ultimate Muscle, a new line of wrestling toys based on the original M.U.S.C.L.E. line. The marketing for Ultimate Muscle is much more pervasive than the campaign for the original series. An animated cartoon show regularly exposes children to the ongoing adventures of characters such as Kid Muscle, Terry Kenyon, and Ramen Man, and there are also accompanying video games available for the Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance systems. The GBA game is titled Ultimate Muscle: The Path of the Superhero. It's a simple yet entertaining game that should appeal greatly to fans of the cartoon series. Signature moves are the only way to KO an opponent and win the match.The game features 24 individual characters and four different play modes. Like the TV show, the story mode centers on Kid Muscle, a reluctant hero living in the shadow of his father, the legendary King Muscle. As you defeat opponents in the story mode, you'll see various events unfold just as they have in the animated series. These moments are presented using comic-book-style cutscenes overlaid with textual dialogue drawn directly from the show. The other play modes include the typical one-on-one versus and survival options you've seen in other games, as well as a unique three-on-three team battle mode that's similar to what you'd find in SNK's popular King of Fighters fighting game series. Unfortunately, there isn't a tag team mode, nor is there a create-a-wrestler feature that allows you to put together your own characters. On the upside, however, every play mode other than the story mode includes link-cable support, allowing you to compete against a friend who also owns a copy of the game. For the most part, Ultimate Muscle is easy to get the hang of, although it does take a brief amount of time to become accustomed to the game's timing system. When characters grapple, a vertical bar with a cursor and three different color zones appears. Weak moves can be pulled off when the cursor is in the yellow or blue portions of the bar, while strong moves, whips, and throws can be accomplished only when the cursor is in the blue portion. If you hesitate too long or input a command when the cursor is in the red section, your opponent will perform a move. As you wear down an opponent, the sizes of the blue and yellow portions of the bar increase, improving your chances of successfully performing an attack. Each character has his own set of roughly a dozen or so grapples and counters, although there aren't any turnbuckle or over-the-ropes maneuvers. What separates Ultimate Muscle from other wrestling games is that you don't win matches by pinning your opponent. Instead, you have to KO your adversaries by performing signature moves when their stamina is low. You can execute a signature move when an opponent is stunned or has been launched into the air, but the timing window for performing these moves is much shorter than for normal grapples. The only time the blue area of the meter is substantial is when your opponent is completely worn out. Otherwise, you'll need to activate what's called a friendship power in order to supersize the meter. The friendship meter builds gradually every time you and your opponent come in contact, typically giving you two or three opportunities to perform signature moves during a match. Signature moves liven up the pace of a match considerably, mainly because they're accompanied by glitzy graphical effects and digitized voice clips taken directly from the cartoon series.Read more

Why? because my friend got it, thinking it's a Tony Hawk clone, but this was actually a RACING game, so unless your kid likes racing against the clock, dont buy it. WORSE GAME YOU COULD EVER PURCHASE.....
The control response is bad. The graphics are horrible. There are no special moves. The boxers' punches don't seem real. The sound is low in quality. The overall concept of this game is inferior. Stay away from this game, do not waste your money, don't say you weren't warned.
