Worth every penny!!!
I got this game a week or so after it came out, and I was impressed instantly. Sure, the updated rosters are always a nice treat, but the smoother gameplay and sharper graphics make it more enjoyable, even if they are minor. The running game is more improved, and the runners are easy to control, plus the highlight stick is so awesome! It is so fun to watch your favorite RB literally throw off a defender or make moves to have a defender look stupid. The franchise and other modes have some new features, but Superstar is much more improved. You play as only yourself, and I mean this, ONLY YOURSELF! You see the game from your player's perspective, and will only play as your player the entire time. Example: you are the QB and throw a pass. No matter what happens, you retain control over your player, which is very realistic. So, if you've liked the last few Maddens, you will be very happy with this one. Only two minor complaints; 1) The game will freeze sometimes at the end of plays. No issues there. 2) You have influence in Superstar, but if your teammates mess up, it hurts YOUR influence. This is the only, and I mean only part I found frustrating. However, except for those two things, this game exceeded my expectations greatly!

But The Ball Wasn't Even Thrown to Me!
The Hall of Fame mode rocks! Being able to create a character, go through the draft, and work towards making the HOF is an absolutely great addition. You can create any position and play the game from their perspective.

I Am Anti-Soccer, But I Love This Game!
Perhaps it is the Mario World theme that made me like this game so much... Could be the fast and strategic action.I dunno.But I am hugely opposed to the game of soccer - I think it is a wretched sport.HOWEVER... I started off playing Super Mario Strikers at the electronics stores only to find out later that I can't get enough of this game!Who'd have thunk it?

Interesting controls don't make up for shortcomings.
When 2K Sports secured the rights to MLB, I tried to keep an open mind. I was an EA MVP Baseball guy, so I will admit I did come into MLB 2K6 with certain expectations.
Disappointed in 2K sports
When I got this game, I thought it would be a great experience. When I started playing, it was amazing the graphics and the way they said stuff. But when the game actually started I saw that it wasn't that different than MVP 05 or 04. There were way too many wild pitches and the way you swing is very frustrating.
A New Experience...
Well, for the past three years, I have been using EA Sports' "MVP Baseball 2004-2005". I was always pleased with these games and I though they couldn't get any better. This new game produced by 2K Sports, "Major League Baseball 2K6" is a new experience worth the while. After several release delays, I finally got my hands on one to rent. I was pleased by many new features, while some things I was not at happy about. There are many features that this game has that no one has ever seen.

Much Better than earlier games
I had a 2003 version of this game. While I liked it, it didn't play well on my gamecube.So much for used games. I recently bought this one new and I've enjoyed it immensly. The graphics are excellent, better than before and the play is smooth and reliable.
The Best Madden game
This game is great, period. I love the QB Vision, Hit Stick, Truck Stick, Superstar Mode, and the list goes on and on. The graphics are outstanding, and the little extra things they put in there are terrific. (I love seeing the lineman argue with the ref over if the ball carrier got over the first down line!) Overall, I love this game and almost play it daily. A truly great football game.

This game is great. You roll the monkey around in a ball and you hit targets.sounds easy? at first...then they split the levels up in pieces! that's the main game then in minigames they put racing,target and fight. fighting is really fun though you punch each other off the side of the floor and then when the timer reaches 0 who ever has the most points wins!!! and in race you race around tracks until you win.now the monkeytarget: you roll off a ramp and open your ball as wings the tricky part? you have to open the ball at the right time and close it or you lose!! that's about it.

Oh the curse-ed X-Box
I love soccer games, having been exposed to them on my little brothers X-box any time I went home to my parents house.My wife bought me this game so I wouldn't always want to go over and play and it is not near as good. The game is essentially the same, but the graphics aren't nearly as good and I still like to go to my parents house to get my soccer fix from video games.The buttons and game play and action are identical, just those blasted graphics.I wish I would have waited until the new Nintendo comes out this Christmas.

I can honestly say that this is the best soccer game on the market. Even though the reviews lie about 15-year manager mode, this game is still a steal at only [...]. In the all new penalty shootout, the goalkeeper can move around to try to distract the kicker. Global challenge is a fun way to try to complete objectives of famous world cup matches and qualification rivalries for each qualification zone. Once you complete the first set of global challenege you then recieve new challeneges to complete based on past world cup finals. The lounge is an excellent multiplayer battle with the objective of taking over other people's countries once you defeated them. Up to eight players can participate. This is the best soccer game on the market and i recommend you purchase it for only [....].

I haven't played an official FIFA game since the 1998 Sega Saturn release but I spent enough time with that one to appreciate all of the polish that the latest in the series offers.

Very good.
This game has gotten so much better over the years. There is a new battle mode where you try to beat the best ever with your created character. But you had better have a lot of time on your hands. The graphics are great, and they have added a lot of detail to the courses. There are over 12 to choose from and more to unlock. The only things that I disagree with is that whenever you hit a ball in the sand- it stays there. In real life if may bounce out easily- here it just sticks- even if it is on a drive. The second is trees. The graphics for trees are not the best and when you hit a ball in the tree it drops straight down. In real life there can be a chance it may pop out. One final thing is that you skip can't skip through other player's emotions or words in battle mode- and they can get pretty annoying.

Same old same old
I rented this game and was highly disapointed with it i who have played/owned almost all the WWE/WWF games for all systems thought this game wasnt good. First of all it is almost exactly the same as DOR1 witch i dont like.The problem with these games is that in season mode u have to create a superstar witch restricts u from sertain moves .Since Season mode is horrible this game is mainly a Multiplayer game .But mutliplayer mode isnt good either there are no 5or6 player matches just cause thereis only 4 controller slots on gamecube.Also they added stamina on to this game witch was to make it more realistic witch is good the problem is it takes for ever to restore.
Disappointing sequel to a perfectly awesome game
Day of Reckoning 2 when I read up on the previews and such, seemed to have nothing much new going for it save for a totally new graphics system which was supposed to make the wrestlers look more "realistic" along with the usual updated roster.
Fun, yes, but but with a few too many tweaks.

What more were you expecting?
Personally, I KNEW that this game was gonna suck BIG time. Ever since I saw the commerical, I could see that this was going to be a huge down-fall of the great games Maxis has made.
It's not that bad.
Okay, everybody is saying it's really repetitive and there is no storyline. NOT SO TRUE. You have to find the NEW LOCATIONS. Once you get through a couple of new locations, you have to complete OTHER people's goals, and they get much harder (you find yourself playing more with the other characters than with your own, and you have to take care of like three!)! There are like 13 locations, and the locations are like levels. I've only gone up to the Biodome place, which is about half-way.
Very Repetetive
This game is fun.... for the first 30 minutes. Then it gets extremely repetitive. You fall in love with a girl, you clean puddles in the bathroom, you make yourself a meal... It all gets very boring, and very repetitive after a while(and I only played this game for the first time yesterday).

although i am not much of a soccer fan, i really enjoyed this game, i thought it was more fun to play than NBA or NFL street series, only thing that was kind of annoying was during the one player story mode, they would make u do trick point challenges and gamebreaker games, i didnt like those rules, but other than that, i have no complaints, i liked the music, controls, graphics, and gameplay, even if ur not really into soccer, it is still worth a try

Goal Tending?
There is so much you can definitely endure when it comes to scoring it big in soccer. While so much isn't making there where people would rather consider the thrills of football from Madden by EA, the home run excitement of baseball from Major League 2K6, and the basketball joys of NBA Live '06. While those games have hit the nail on the head, the Street franchise has been very mixed with good games and fancy moves from football and basketball. Now, with the return of EA Sports Street hitting soccer again, can this rendidition actually score a goal, or just be a forgone miss.

Best Sports Game Ever!!!
I am not just saying this because the Canes are back in the Stanley Cup Finals:THIS IS THE BEST SPORTS GAME EVER!!!The Cube version is the best simply because it has the big A button.All passing/switching/facing off is done with that big button.The sound, control, graphics, and presentation are unmatched.You can't use the same move over and over like I do on Sega Hockey on XBOX.You need to be creative.Once your imagination is sparked it is possibgle to score in a variety of ways.You won't score on yourself like in 2K6 either.

Hockeys Back
well now that hockey is back, this game is perfect for a hockey fan. The graphics are very good and the control is perfect. Not a suprise from EA games. If you like hockey, get this game and you will be satisfied believe me. Be sure to have a memory card with 1019 blocks or over it doesnt work on a 256 card.

Great Presentation, Gameplay Lacking...
In typical EA fashion, the game looks and feels great.The player models are pretty realistic, and the arenas are pretty close to representations of the real thing.The crowd chants are also authentic too...for example, you'll hear "Go Leafs Go" if you play in Toronto.The commentary is passable, but can be repetetive at times.But as usual, EA puts so much effort into presentation that they forget to work on the gameplay. First is the inconsistent AI, which is the most erratic and aggrevating I've seen in this series.One thing I see alot is the computer almost putting the puck into its own net.The player never judges the angle right and gets stuck on the right side corner of the net, kicking his legs while the puck dangles inches from the goal line.The scoring and gameplay are ridiculously arcade.Literally, every other shot hits the post.Also, the scoring is outrageous.A typical game with 5 minute periods will routinely result in at least 10 goals scored per game.The next series of complaints leads me to believe the computer cheats.Why?Well, I've had problems with my goalie going into the corners behind the net and handling the puck...getting me penalties whenever I have a lead.For some reason, the computer also seems to get alot of breakaways.I estimate that about two-thirds of their shots are on breakaways.No matter what settings I make, my team will rarely ever cover the point or set up into any sort of helpful positions on offense.It always seems like a one-man show.I get into the offensive zone, go behind the net, then pass it to the point to find no one there.Where they are, I dont know, because the computer then proceeds to have a three on one coming back the other way. The computer also seems to score or not score at will...some games they cant do anything right, and then other times they'll rattle off three goals in 10 seconds.A little AI consistency wouldnt hurt, EA. The controls are not very responsive...again, with EA its more presentation than gameplay.I always feel like I'm watching a game rather than truly controlling what's going on.It seems like all you do is activate animations that you cant control.I never use the 'Special Move' control on the C-Stick because I never know what its going to do.Overall, its playable and its the only choice you have on the 'Cube (unfortunately).Its not bad enough to make you regret buying it, but its not good enough to make you feel the purchase was entirely justified.Oh how I wish the 2K series was licensed on the Gamecube.And how this series has stumbled since the glory days of NHL 94, 95, or even 98. ... Get the band aids ready
I haven't found a game this intense in a long time. I went with my son to pick out a game with his christmas money. He got King Kong. (He's to scared to play it)Fight Night Round 2 severe sale at toys r us. 9.99. Couldn't that bad, it was a new release, and I'm getting into sports games. Besides all the hip hop crap music, this game is incredible. Graphics are great, the slow motion power knockdowns, with the blood flyin', get's you really pumped.Takes a while to figure out the swings, but you have really good control of punches and movement. I've figured out almost all of the throws, except the haymaker. Got the game on monday at about 6pm, stayed up till 2:30am, and woke up with the worst Ninetendo thumb since high scool! Just had to wrap my thumb for the next round, GET IT!

Awesome Game
Fight Night Round 2 is an amazing game. It is difficult to master the Total Punch Control, Haymakers, and EA Cutman, but you can change the control configuration to suit your need and you can automate the Cutman process. Career mode is awesome and deep. You can create your own player or start with another pro fighter. You start out as an amateur and go to pros. You can train, change attire, create your own entrance, hire staff and more. The graphics are also the best, and watching a replay of a knocked out fighter go to the floor is breathtaking. I give this game a 9.3/10

Greatest Boxing Game EVER!
This company, EA Sports has done it again. Their games can't be beaten, let's face it. Their latest release, Fight Night: Round 2 is the GREATEST Boxing game EVER! When I heard about another boxing game to be released by EA Sports, I rented the game as soon as it was released and as soon as I returned the rental, I was at Walmart next door purchasing my own copy. I just had to have this game. This game has it all! I can't imagine a better boxing game than this right here!

Fun, but Confusing
With limited baseball titles for gamecube, mvp 2005 is pretty much the only practical choice. That being said, its a real good game. Graphics are solid, sound is good. But gameplay is confusing. For example, I was the Phillies playing the Nationals. The Nats have a pretty good batting lineup, wouldnt you say? Guys like Alfonso Soriano, Jose Guillen,Jose Vidro (that might be stretchin it). But probably the Nationals three best power hitters right? Well i was playing them and those three guys go maybe about 7 innings without even a hit. At least 1 of them could get on base once dont you think? But then the most odd part comes. The Nats have some new power sluggers in Marlon Byrd, Brian Schneider, Ryan Church, and Jamey Carroll. "Who?" most of you probably ask. Yeah. Between the four of them 6 home runs, each player with one, and 14 base hits. I mean if guys are gonna have fire games, let it be a star like Soriano or Guillen but not guys like Schneider and Carroll. Even if one had a hot game thats understandable, but 4 basement players at the same time? I dont think so. Guys like Byrd and Church do not even hit for power, they hit for average, and sometimes they cant even do that. So thats somewhat confusing. The Nats scored 10 runs against me, but luckily i was on fire too, but with good players like Ryan Howard, Pat Burrell, Chase Utley, and Jimmy Rollins. I won 12-10, but that still is somewhat confusing to me. And this is just one instance, there have been many times this has happend. Maybe the ratings are switched?

The game is fun to play but the pitch location is a little awkward (it's difficult to pick location without tipping to the batter).
