Exactly the same as last year pretty much!
I got 2007 this past Saturday. After I put the game in, I noticed that there is hardly any change at all from last year's game graphic wise, features, rosters, still no player introductions for the starters, no pre-game report on any players or the teams, come on the game needs some improvements! Also just like last years game if you release a player from one team, and then pick him up for another team it says in the players bio he was aquired in a trade instead of being pick up off waivers or free agency, now that's silly! Also, I noticed that only so many players even have their real face put on their body, that keeps getting worse every year, so I guess there is a change from last year's, but it's for the worse! Play wise it is still a decent game to play, but I still would prefer NFL 2K5. Madden 2007 also freezes for about 3 seconds after every 3 or 4 plays too, that's a little annoying! As I said NFL 2K5 is the better play still! 2K5 has the halftime shows, Sportscenter highlights done up in a quick NFL Primetime or ESPN Blitz style. Overall I give Madden 2007 3 stars for fun, but as a whole 2.5 out of 5. Please improve next year's Madden features please!!!

Proving a point...
Ok, to start off maybe it's the Madden curse for a reason! But that's beside the point... anyway,I actually think this is a fun game but it is still worse than 06,05,and 04 fo that matter. The changes this game has from 06 are hard to find and when you do find them THEY ARE HORRIBLE! The new superstar mode is so bad that when my superstar was in his 12th year and had more passing TD's than Brett Favre and Dan Marino he was still not at Hall of Fame status! Also in 06 I liked getting an RB's body makeup in superstar and making him a speedy QB... no doing that anymore. The new running system must have looked good on paper but it sure doesn't in the game. Besides the fact that they spelled Tiki Barber's name Tike you can tell that they were very sloppy and didn't care much how this game turned out knowing it would still have people buying it just because it has the Madden label on it! My advice if you really must have it to see for yourself, then ok, but if not buy ESPN NFL 2k5!!

not that bad
This game s pretty good. The game is basicly the same as madden 06. Their is a new thing called a Blocking Control. Its pretty sweet. Like madden 06 their is a mode called superstar HALL OF FAME. In this mode you create yourself. You pick your parents, take the IQ test, go through the draft and play. The object in this mode is at the end of your career to go into the NFL hall of fame. You can create fans for teams. You can play in franchise mode, tournament mode and also you can just play. I recomend this game. ... Read more

Oh baby
Before tonight, I had never played FIFA 07, or any game in the FIFA series. Before tonight, I had never even touched an Xbox. Tonight, my high school varsity soccer team had FIFA Night in the school library, with a projection screen and 22 guys vying for the title of FIFA God. In the first round, I played my coach, who is an Xbox FIEND, although he had never played 07. I beat him 1-0 in a hotly-contested game that will probably leave me on the bench for homecoming. Long story short, FIFA 07 is competitive, and anyone can win. The graphics: awesome. The gameplay: awesome. The fun: more than awesome. FIFA 07 is THE best game I have ever played, and I'm gonna buy it for PS2 ASAP. Or maybe I'll save up for the 360 and buy it for that. Either way, this game is mine. Soon.

Not good enough
I tried the game and it dissapointed me. It is pretty much the same old game, same goals as always. The game has all the liscences, stadiums, chants...EVERYTHING...but they missed the most important part wich is: SOCCER. The gameplay is not realistic, its robotic. Guys at EA should try Winning Eleven, its more realistic and there are no two "same" goals there. I had been a Fifa fan since 1995, but everytime I buy this game, I end up playing it 3 weeks (because I start winning matches 11-0 once I learn the "trick" to score the goalkeeper) and then switch back to winning eleven wich is more challenging.

FIFA 2007... EA has done it again.
FIFA 2007 is an excellent futbol (soccer) game.Overall, it is very much like FIFA 2006; however, there are a few extras such as the Turkish Super League and some new movements.The Manager mode is a very challenging and realistic mode.I would highly recommend this game to any soccer fan. ... Not groundbreaking--but solid nonetheless
It should be no surprise to the owners of EA games that there is nothing revolutionary about this year's release of Tiger Woods golf.That being said, the 2007 installment of this game has taken what's good about the past couple of seasons and put it together right.I have owned every Tiger Woods game for the ps2.2004 stands as the game that improved the most upon the series' previous endeavors.2005 made some minor tweaks that ended up working quite well as the result was an addictive, smooth flowing game.I thought 2006 was a minor step back as the graphics were somewhat cloudy and there wasn't much new as far as courses and options went.This year the graphics are better, there are 21 courses, and some fun new modes (ie one ball and team one ball).There is unfortunately not anything that resembles the Ryder or President's Cup format(s).The AI in the pro tournaments has improved from 2004 and 2005 making the computer scores much more competitive.All in all, for what the ps2 can do, you couldn't ask for a better golf game.Hot Shots and some others might be "fun," but no other game combines fun and realism as well as this game does.Definately worth your while if you are at all a fan of golf or this series.

Stay Away!!
I have just bought this version, and am very disappointed. It is no better than the '06 version; and the graphics have not even been "tweaked" as far as I can see. The players look exactly like last years game. Also, I hate the fact that you cannot import your previous profiles into the '07 game; meaning you must begin from scratch (no pun intended) again as a rookie with very little cash! This means building a whole new character and outfitting same. The "commentary" from McCord and Feherty is no great shakes either and sounds very like the '06. The only thing you do get is a "loyalty" sponsership from Precept for being an owner of '06! There are some new features like the "World Tour" and lots of new courses and a "Team" concept also; but I still feel this was a waste of $40, and I wish I had RENTED it before buying! Game is Terrible
After owning NBA live 05 and 06 this game is a huge dissappointment.I have never played 2k7 but I am considering purchasing it because this game is just terrible.

ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I'VE BEEN A NBA LIVE FAN FROM DAY ONE AND I'VE ONLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH ONE YEAR AND I BELIEVE THAT WAS 97. NOW 10 YEARS LATER LIVE 07 IS STRAIGHT UP WACK... THE UPGRADES ON SOME THINGS ARE ALRIGHT. I LIKE THE LITTLE BUSINESS ASPECT BUT THE CONTROL EA COULD HAVE LEFT THE SAME... I GUESS THEY REALLY DIDN'T FOCUS CAUSE PS3 IS ABOUT TO COME OUT BUT EA MESS UP THIS ONE. THEY SHOULD'VE STUCK WITH THE POPULAR SLOGAN "IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT" I'D RATHER KEEP PLAYING 06. Keep-it-close mode
This game is terrible. I usually really enjoy EA Sports games, but this one is a major letdown. To sum it up, Luke Ridnour just dropped 57 points on my team. I only lost by two, but basically the game makes one person absolutely unstoppable each game. If you get a big lead, the computer basically takes over the game, you miss lay-ups, and the computer makes triple-covered threes. Still the champ
As far as football games go over the last 3 or 4 years NCAA football has been the best. This year so far is no different. I got the Madden and haven't even started the season yet because it comes out so early none of the rosters are anywhere near close. I play with the Cowboys and had to create 8 players. Also the gameplay for Madden is so unrealistic a linebacker can intercept everything. To me since about 2003 NCAA has looked better and played much better than Madden. The players on Madden look so little for some reason.You can control your players alot easier on NCAA. The trick to the momentum meter on this game is to try to get a good lead early and after that it is alot easier. One thing I dont like about this game is that for the past 2 years they have taken off the special intro's to add all that other junk. See i play with Miami and they always run thru smoke at the beginning but they took it out 2 years ago, why? Also they used to show Notre Dame walk down their stairs but they took that off too. Also for the last 2 years I havent won the heisman even though I had better stats. Other than that the game is solid, haven't played the Superstar mode yet. For football fans this game is worth a buy.

Same game.. same glitches.. horrible kicking game
I've been a huge fan of this game.. I prefer this to Madden.Get it every year when it comes out.Nothing has changed.$50.00 for new rosters (with names you have to enter in yourself anyway). Same glitches - if your opponent has momentum, expect to fumble every ball, drop every catch, and have 80 yard touchdowns scored on you every time.Commentary is also still the same.These are all flaws present in the earlier versions I loved, and those versions would recieve a 5 from me every time.So what's the deal with the 2 this year? THE KICKING GAME SUCKS!!!!It is so confusing and hard to control all the new apects, that just after 3 games played, I am ready to toss it or trade it in and resort to the 2006 NCAA version.Horrible

get it while its fresh!
well...This goes out to the previous reviewer...first off.there are numerous new animations..i mean..kobe shoots like..well kobe.....Big Z actually dont jump on his jump shot and numerous other stars have there own jump shot animation..something kinda tight..as for upgrades..well the roster is updated and the A.I. is much smarter..how is that not an update?..plus now you have full control on how your team plays; you now have that option to change in the option menu..and the post game is much better..more realistic..and the shot stick..WOW..perfection...and if you care about jersey numbers..its updated too...so Artest has number 93 and Kobe has 24...(a plus since in any of the 2k series you are not allowed to change numbers)..so dont listen to those fools who say buy 2k6 or switch to live 07...they have no idea about how a true simulation should be...but dont get me wrong Live is also a very good game but not as real in the simulation department like 2k7..so go buy this game....why pay 20 bucks for an old game such as 2k6, when you could add 10 more dollars to it and buy 2k7? why would you do that?..no disrespect to the previous reviewers but people need to think a little bit...

NBA2K7 is BETTER than NBA Live 07
This game is HOT!!!!I have never played the NBA2K versions before so playing this game has brought a lot of excitement to playing a basketball game.The game seems so realistic it is scary.The players play and move the way that they do in the real game.The graphics are fantastic and gameplay is a lot of fun.I bought NBA Live 07 and I wish I didn't.I could have saved a few dollars by just buying NBA2K7.In my opinion, it is the best basketball game out there.

Takes a step back from previous years....
As an avid hockey fan who wanted to finally get a chance to play with Sidney Crosby, I had been awaiting this game for a while now. While you will see a lot of the reviews harp on the negative, I'll try to keep it as even as possible with pros and cons, because lets face it, everything is going to have negatives regardless.
If you don't play against a friend,you'll soon tire of this flawed game.

What I expected, and that's not bad
I played this game and found it very fun. The controls, in my opinion, are just fine. The analog passing is pretty cool and I didn't have trouble adjusting to it. The only complaint I have is the lack of classic NHL logos; I wanted to create the Hartford Whalers but couldn't because their logo wasn't there. Just something I didn't like, I'm sure that won't bother most people. But yeah, overall I found the game enjoyable and personally I found the new controls more natural than any hockey game I have ever played previously. ... Read more

Best Flight sim ever!
This definetly the best air combat game I've played. Though not strictly a flight sim the physics are close enough that it feels real enough and is still crazy fun flying around. The game has an arcade mode where you simply blast planes and boats till you get shot down or meet your target kills. Of course it's the story mode that sells this game which I can't simply go on enough about. Though not that useful in a fight through radio chatter you really get a feel for the personalities of each of your wing mates. There's about 30 missions and it starts off quick with one of your teamates being shot down early and you having a mission to try and retreive them begind enemy lines. Thanks to the enemy secret weapons such a nuke capable sub some battles feel epic as I neared the climax my heart was racing. Though maybe not the best written story in a game I've ever come across it's rare I've ever been so drawn into a story before. An absolutely amazing game

Almost Perfect
Great Game, and I am picky. Much better than MLB 06.Here are the only negatives:
Best baseball game of 2006
This game is by far the best baseball video game to hit stores in 2006. The best game feature in this game is career mode. In this mode you get to create your player and guide him through his journey to his ultimate goal; making it to "The Show." The worst part of career mode is having to start at like the AA level and taking too long to make it to the show, but by the time you make it to the show it is worth it. But if you are one of those guys who just want to get to the show in about 2 minor league seasons have your career set to rookie mode. I was really disapointed when I heard that EA Sports wasn't coming out with a MLB game this year so I bought their college game and after I bought 06 The Show, NCAA 06 has been collecting dust in my basement. This game blew away all of its competition and has my vote 100 percent.

Small Problem...
The first time I played this game I was hooked. I enjoy playing on the career mode. You get to controll just about everythnig a real mlb player can do. From asking for a trade, signing a big contract, and to trashing your team's moral. Now I was doing real well with my created person. I was on pace to break the single season hr record and drive in a load of runs. But there was a glitch in the game. It suddenly froze on me and I lost alot of progress. Now it might have been my system, but hearing from friends and other reviews this seems to be common with this game. Don't get me wrong this game is alot of fun. Just be aware of this glitch. ... the SIMS but not the Sims!! Where did the original makers go??
After seeing a few reviews on here I see I am not alone.SIMS 2 was nothing at all like the first Sims.The Sims are supposed to be virtual people.In the beginning they started out in moms house and went from there to learning, cooking, and basic people skills.. then moving out they find careers, promotions, get excited about life, have a hard time keeping money lol, get married and have Children (if they choose).All in all you are addicted. You love it because it is REALISTIC.SIMS 2 promised to be even better. Whatever SIMS lacked it looked from the package to have.And I even hoped they'd add pets as they did with the kewl game the URBZ.But no.This game is a disappointment and I hope that the makers do read these reviews.Here in short is what we want... we want a realistic sim, we want them to actually care or get excited that they made a new dish or got a Promotion!!, we want them to have relationships that seem to matter..not be swingers so to speak. Even when married the SIMS just still seem so single. The emotions are just all wrong.. the first SIMS had emotions much more believable.. frustration, bordeom without dying, crying without getting hysterical, and real happiness when they were doing well in life.The makers must have been totally different or just never played the original themselves.Also, the outfits are way to runway model and when your sim is not totally slim the clothes look horrific. I keep my slim kate moss just so it looks okay in the game lol.I just dont get how fast the game goes either!! You meet everyone and see every house WAY before you have even gotten your first career mastered and now I am at the end with no where new to go or no one new to meet but still need to master another 6 careers with 6 levels or promotions each, not to mention other things Ive yet to do to HELP the strangers my SIM meets.. even though Ive tried to meet ALL gold goals.AND ONE BIG THING.. if you are late for work and you have mastered all the skills for that career.. and you get fired.. guess what.. you will never gain your skills back once the game strips you of them. It will show all the stars and say you did but when you go into career it will show that you are still stripped of them and you will NOT get your PROMOTION no matter how hard you try to erase that day you were late!! GOD what a frustrating game.I play it because Ive won every SIMS Ive played.. and they were all great.. bustin out was not as good but the pace and the excitement and happiness of the SIM was great.. the URBZ was totally different and very challenging.. But this SIMS 2 was supposed to be the best ever ever and it was not at all.VERY disappointed.We just want it to be realistic!! When my sim becomes a supermodel at her last promotion after all that work she just stood there at the car and changed her clothes.. where did the jumping up and down and being so happy its silly go?? lol.. we like that kinda thing!!Heck Id be happy in real life to get a job as a Mayor! true totally different
I'm agreeing with Linda who previously wrote in. It's interesting to see - I have Sims2 for PC and Playstation, and I liked the PC one better too, however, with that said, and if you approch this as a completely seperate game it's fun. It's a strange this going on at Maxis, Gameboy, PC, and Playstation each have a totally and I mean totally different game by the same title - Sims bustin out, Sims2, etc. Very odd. I didn't expect that either. The only way to play these is to realize none of them are the same at all. I liked the PC version more too, but this one is enjoyable to me as well, but not the same game at all. Same deal with the Gameboys, all Sim games totally different. Interesting choice on the maker part. But, hey Maxis, keep em coming, I like all of them, but it takes some getting used to for sure. . . also I had to find a walkthru on yahoo. I wish they sold the book, because on this one for playstation there is a "correct" way to do things. ... Read more

Im new to this but I was disgusted by the lack of matches for women.
When I first found Smackdown vs Raw 2004 at Walmart, I got it and made tons of female wrestlers and I used them in TLC matches and the cage match and some of the others. But women are not available in most of the matches. I saw the scenes on Lucifer's Custom, and thought I could do the barroom and back stage with women but I was upset to find out that women are only available in a few matches. I am on my third game now, I got mad at it first cause the custom character mode was slow. The second time was cause of my characters were computer controlled when I chose for it to be manual. Thus concludes my lousy review.

Quality time for having fun is my option!
Anyone who think Smackdown vs Raw 1 was so called good, this game is 10,000xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx times better than part 1 eventually cause many reasons why it is. Because unlike part 1, this has balance good longer season, title bouts, new good matches, more characters, & futhermore really damn good gameplay unlike part 1's gameplay which was down right bad & awful.

the fact is, Americans dont have a clue how to play soccer, thats why you guys find it hard.
Not that great
The game is fun only when you play exhibition mode.The actual game is way too hard unless you are super experienced in this type of game.I am not so I have a REALLY hard time beating the easiest teams.You can try to score up to 50 times before actually getting it in the goal.If you buy this game you may also have alot of frustrating moments.for example:I was using Argentina and I was going against South Korea.I kept trying to get the ball in the goal over and over again but it always missed.On the other hand South Korea Tried to get a goal two times and got them both.The game has a very real feel that is fun for a while but gets very annoying.I would say only get this game is you buy a lot of soccer games. ... Can't get enough!
Madden 07 is an awesome game to add to the collection. It is very fun, agrresive, and the graphics are great. Lots of bonus material with the hall of fame edition and this is definately a great buy!

Well, I can only say this:
dont spend the extra money
i bought the hall of fame edition knowing that i shouldnt but i did. the bonus disc shows the same behind the scenes stuff that all of us have already seen before. the madden retrospective is pretty boring and tournament players talk about playing styles,whatever dont buy the hof edition unless you are a madden collector...with that being said i like the game pretty good, i havent played madden since madden 2005 and i didnt like it but so far madden 07 seems to be a good football game almost every game ive played has been close and exiting....... ... Stop Whining
This is the first Tiger woods game I have bought. When I looked the game up to see the reviews on it after I bought it I was shocked at the low score it had. I think the game is awesome!! I was looking for a game that was fun but also realistic. This is both. I must warn that it does take a round or two to get used to the controls but I figured it out without even looking at the instructions.
Come on you dorks, it's not that bad.
I've read the upheaval from other reviewers, and I'm here to say that I actually really like this game.After seeing some friends playing '05 at school, I decided to try out '06.If you've never played any other Tiger Woods games, then all the negative comments by other people don't apply to you.
Tiger Woods, ...what happened? The worst game ever
I would like to start by saying that I have all of the Tiger Woods golf games that exist for the PS2. However, I would like to give this one back. I really have no idea why EA felt they needed to completely overhaul the game. Tiger Woods 05 was outstanding! It could have used a few extras like more customization of the create a course option. Something like adding your own waterways, sand traps, etc. instead of just picking existing holes from the courses that already exist. Anyway, the new putting feature is the worst!!! It isn't just because it is more difficult. It is no longer any fun. Being challenging is one thing, but being absolutely ridiculous is another. Why not leave the old putting option and let the gamer choose between the two in the game settings? The bottom line is that all of the Tiger Woods golf games have been outstanding up until this point. However, this is the last one I will ever purchase unless changes are made. Bring back the old putting options. And for those of you who want the game more realistic than fun, stick with the real game of golf and leave the electronic version of it to those of us who enjoy a fun and entertaining game. Almost but not there yet!
The Head Coach game had alot of hype. But it's not as good as you would think because they have the right ideas for the game but they didn't exacute them well. Like Madden does every thing perfectly from the free agency to the scouting. But for the head coach thing they have it so it's challengeing to do it. You first have to go through ever postion and there are so many players they even add the players that are complete awful like jeff george and tim couch unlike madden. In the office like what they call it they have something called office hours which you do twice a day. Which is crazey when you only have 4 things to do during the day. But you can barley do anything because each thing like creating plays, signing players, or even offering a trade, has it's own certin thing that you do once a week it takes forever to get through that because it takes so long to load. But for me over all it was a good game I liked it because of the draft.I LOVE THE DRAFT every year I ordre the mel book and sit down and yell at the t.v for three days saying oh they should of picked him oh crap. And in the game you get to go through the whole draft experince with the actullay draft college kids. And do all 7 rounds. So for me it was a good game but from other peoples views I can't see people likeing it.

Dissapointing, but there is potential
I was so excited to get this, and I was very disappointed. It is really hard to get through, and takes forever. However, I believe it is a great start, and could become a great title in the future. I'd wait for Madden, and check out NFL Head Coach '07. ... Read more

BAD CAMERA VIEW!!!
Trust me on this one... everything looks OK... over 100 teams to choose... you can make your own team, player... all kinds of tourament... and World Cup 2006 Match... players are just like in real life... they look same... so everything seems perfect... except... BAD CAMERA VIEW... Camera is so far that... all you see is players' body and a white dot flyng back and fourth(ball)... I tried to zoom in... it only zooms little; there are no difference... all the camera views are almost like Bird's eye view... TRUST ME!!! TRUST ME!!! RENT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF... 2002 World Cup is way better when you think of it... Controls are very very confusing!!! TRUST ME!!! TRUST ME!!! Go look for something else!!!

Fun Soccer Game
I'm not into soccer a lot but I like the world cup finals.I picked this game up and it did not disapoint me.You can choose from over a hundred teams around the world.The graphics are cool for ps2, except for some of the people in the background.They look like stand-up life-sized picture boards.The players look small when you play the game which is less, but if you zoom in the camera to see them better, then you can't see the field.
