5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, wonderful game for a very low price
Dragon Warrior VIII for the PS2 is a wonderful game. It's Japanese, so it's done in a cutesy anime style, which might put some people off.(Personally, I found it a refreshing change.)
5-0 out of 5 stars Must-play if you enjoy rpgs
I love this game, most of all, for its charm. The characters are so well-animated and cute, when not laugh-out-loud funny. The voice acting is absolutely perfect, the dialogue is engaging.
5-0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun
This game took quite a long time to beat, and you really get your moneys worth. A rare quality in many video games these days. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars disappointment
I have been playing DDR Extreme 2 for almost a year as a form of exercise.I was excited to hear that a new title, DDR Supernova, was coming out, and I preordered it.I am really quite disappointed in the game.I hate the method of unlocking songs, it doesn't seem to make any sense, and I am not an idiot. The Workout Mode is lousy, the menu is not intuitive and I can't set it the way I want. Some of the new songs are great, but since I can't seem to unlock any new ones I am pretty frustrated.I had no problem unlocking songs etc. with the previous version I own.
4-0 out of 5 stars I like a lot of the songs, but hate the unlock process
I have all the other DDR and DDR-type games for PS2, and am enjoying this one so far, though I really hate the Stellar Master Mode, which you are forced to play to unlock new songs. You can get points to purchase new songs from playing the normal way, but you unlock songs to purchase by playing the Stellar Master Mode, which features all sorts of odd challenges, like strange arrows or arrows that move in odd ways. I play DDR by freshening up my instinct and so retraining my instinct to follow odd arrows is not any fun for me.
3-0 out of 5 stars DDR for a new generation!
DDR has certainly changed over the years. With the latest installment (Dance Dance Revolution SuperNova) one can see the change dramatically.Stellar Dance Mode is for most a complete waste of time as it requires us to play songs we do not want to and in modes we do not want to just to unlock songs in the game. Some of the licensed songs are remixed versions that are below par to the orginal versions while other licesned songs are thrown on here just because they are already in other bemani games (Karaoke Revolution, Beatmania USA).There are many japanese songs on this mix as well as instrumentals that seem out of place in DDR.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game I've played in a long time!
This game (as said in the title) is one of the best I have played in awhile! I have played it and beat it SIX (6) times! The graphics were great and the gameplay was great. There's two sides to pick from both with different story lines and endings. Now I will say the ending on one side is some-what confuseing at first but I figured it out the second time around.
2-0 out of 5 stars Felt like I was wasting my time
I tried playing this game twice, and both times I got to a point where it was more of a chore than a fun experience.
5-0 out of 5 stars Jack kicks into action!
This game is really fun. It has an amazing and funny storyline. They had very good graphics and funny clips. This game made me laugh out loud plenty of times. It lasts longer than some games I've played where you finish the game in a couple of days and theres no challenge. I really like longer games with a challenge. You can follow people around on there daily schedules and make friends with them. One fun thing about this game is that you can start a fight with anyone if you kick them twice. And when you kick objects you can sometimes get items. I really can't understand how anyone could not like this game. I would rather play this game than play some bloody, gory ,and violent videogame with no story line whatsoever. Its a classic for me, and I really would like to see a sequel. It gets better and better toward the end! Good game three thumbs up! ^-^

5-0 out of 5 stars Final Fantasy Rocks
This add-on to the original is needed to complete several quests, and adds new adventures. You already know how much fun the original is, this adds new jobs, as well as new items, and it is needed to get your ticket to Khazam.

4-0 out of 5 stars A solid expansion, although a bit disappointing...
Chains of Promathia is a fairly solid expansion released by Square Enix for their Final Fantasy XI MMORPG. With this second major expansion (Rise of Zilart being the first expansion) for the series, SE (Square Enix) attempted to introduce several new missions and quests that may be attempted by low/mid-level players, increasing content and play for the more "casual" players. Note: There are no new job classes nor did the level cap change with this expansion (Currently at 75)
5-0 out of 5 stars Final Fantasy XI ROCKS!
This just has to be one of the best online games ever created and the best game in the Final Fantasy series. If you like RPG game then ckeck this game out with great graphic and game play is awsome. I'm a big fan of this series and I can see elven has gone a long way. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The clone and galatic civil war rules!
I am a star wars fan and this game is cool. The clone wars and the galatic civil war are awsome. Play as the clone troopers, battle droids, rebels or imperials in the hot deserts in tattoine, or the cold landscape of Rhen Var or Hoth.I am definetly going to give this game a second go.Battlefront 2 is great but finish this game first before moving on.

5-0 out of 5 stars Relive the greatest battles of all time!
Relive the greatest star wars battles of all time. Play as the CIS,Republc, rebels or the empire with authentic star warsmusic from episodes 1,2,4,5,and 6. Also play with over ten planets and fifteen enviroments in histoical campain galatic conquest or instit action. Rock on!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good.
I've owned the game only for a few months. I've been a Star Wars fan for a long time and I just loved it when they came out with this game. I've always wanted to be a Storm trooped trudging through the snow on Hoth to attack the Rebel base and this game actually let's me do just that. The game is overall pretty good, except for the fact that the flying controls aren't really that sensitive so you wouldn't be pulling off any fancy mid-air manuevers in it. On certain levels you also can fight against not only the enemy, but the actual inhabitants of that level. Like on Endor, if you were the fighting agaist the rebels, you would also be fighting against the little Ewoks. Overall a good game, I would suggest buying it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great port, but obviously not as good as the PC original, lol.
The Sims was a great port of an iconic PC game, its one of the most challenging games I`ve ever played on PS2.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Fun Mental Challenge
This is actually the first "simulation" type game that I have played and, overall, I enjoyed the experience. The controls and different style of gameplay did take some getting used to. But eventually I figured out how to play effectively and had fun with it. I almost always finish games to completion. But in the "Get A Life" mode I found myself stuck at the "Party Animals" level, unable to find someone willing to be my new roommate. In the "Play The Sims" mode I made it up to counterfeiter in the career path. But couldn't get past there, as I needed 5 friends and my neighborhood had only four people I was able to call or invite. Any hints on how to get further would be appreciated.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Game!!!
One of the best games ever. I loved this game and i've beaten it a million times.(Not that it is easy) It is an addictive game that you can play all the time and never get bored. The graphics aren't the best, but the game makes up for it by being so fun.The Neighborhood mode is great, too. You could play with 4 people.(if you swich off controllers) A standard for all Sims games. It is also a very simple and fun game and pretty realistic. I loved this game and recomend to buy it and play over and over again. Fantastic!!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good game, but could be improved.
The main reason i bought this game is cause of the fact that it has "Sticky Tetris," which is basically like how "The Next Tetris" from Playstation 1 is; i love this kind of Tetris style. However, i was a bit dissapointed in the multiplayer battles. You can win easily depending on what difficulty you choose. When you make cascades, the opponents' field does not spin, or twist. It's not much of a challange. The story they added for this game doesn't make the game anymore exciting. Though, it was interesting trying out all the other different styles they had come out for Tetris. Overall, it's a fair game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst version of Tetris ever!
This game was a huge disappointment. I actually GAVE my copy away. There is definitely a lack of high quality puzzle games for PS2.
2-0 out of 5 stars Creative ideas; poor game
Tetris Worlds (for any system) is just one of those games where coming up with a lot of interesting ideas seemed to outweigh the importance of developing a decent, fun, solid game. If you're expecting another Tetris for the NES, Game Boy, or SNES, then you may be gravely disappointed, because Tetris Worlds is nothing of the sort. If there's anything praiseworthy to be said about Tetris Worlds, it's that it gives you some really nice environments (or should we just call them "worlds") at which to stare as you strive to fulfill some hopeless goal. This aspect of the game is not particularly enticing, because it restricts you to a one-to-one correspondence with the type of Tetris game you are playing. For instance, regular Tetris gives a forest world; cascade Tetris gives you a water world; square Tetris gives you a rocky world; sticky Tetris gives you a volcano world; fusion Tetris gives you a crystal world; and hot-line Tetris gives you a space/sky world. Let's say you want to customize your options so that you can play regular Tetris at the water level, or cascade Tetris at the volcano level, etc., the game offers no such options (unlike the GBA version of this game).

4-0 out of 5 stars Yourself! Fitness
First off, I'll start out by saying I'm not in shape-unless you consider "round" a shape...I was amazed at how this game works as a fitness instructor-and when I was done with my workout, I felt pretty whooped. But, I can tell you it was very fun, and I felt good after the workout. You can set your own workout schedule and routine, even check out thousands of menu selections, recipes, and set them for any given day! It's all right here folks!I set a target goal of 50 lbs. to lose-You cant go wrong with this game folks!!This game keeps it fun, and that's very important-I started out on October 3, 2006-I'll be back here a month from now to share my results!

5-0 out of 5 stars Yourself!Fitness
Awesome!I feel like I have a personal trainer sitting right in my room with me, every step of the way.I totally sweat to this workout.Worth every penny!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for Fitness Newbies, Limited for Veterans
I have been a bodybuilder for many years now and have acted as a personal trainer to various friends, family, and colleagues. My husband saw "Yourself! Fitness" at the store and thought I would get a kick out of it (no pun intended), so he told me about it and--after checking out various reviews of the game posted here at Amazon and elsewhere--we went out and bought it together.

1-0 out of 5 stars There's a difference between challenging and difficult....
This game looks and plays great. Unfortunately, the people who made this game don't seem to realize that video games are supposed to be entertaining and not frustrating. I beat the game in "normal" difficulty but there were lots of struggles (and cursing) along the way. I would give this game a higher rating if not for the cheap diffulty level. If I wanted to test my skills by fighting hard battles, I'd choose "hard mode". That's the reason why some games allow you to choose the level of difficulty. The "normal mode" in this one, however is like "extreme" in most other games. I don't think I would want to try the "extreme mode" or even the "hard mode" on this one. Don't buy if you don't have alot of patience! The only thing that kept me trying to beat this game was the story, which I should say was pretty good.

4-0 out of 5 stars In two words, Nice... Smooth...
Agrippa is a centurion in the Roman army. Patroling the outskirts of Germania, his regimant hapens upon a captured roman messenger, who tells him Ceaser has been assasinated. Arriving home his friend, informs him that Agrippa's own father has been arrested for the murder. The Roman empire decides to hold gladitorial games and the winner will execute Agrippa's father... You cannot lose.
5-0 out of 5 stars You're in for a real treat
I have a friend who once told me that the game "Colosseum" was really fantastic. It mixed the Roman backgrounds with all of the fantasy of being one of the hallowed 'sports stars' in one of the most bloody "games" in all of history. COOL! Doesn't that sound cool??

4-0 out of 5 stars Romancing Saga looks good
I own most of the Square(Square Enix) games and this one looks as good as the rest. I took it for a test ride, and didnt see anything to complain about. Unfortunatley, I didnt get too much time logged in on it, for i have games coming out the wazoo, and not enough time to play them all 8).

3-0 out of 5 stars Too many characters, not enough sense, boring & played out RPG
What a mess this game is. There's hardly one element of Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song that rubs against another element without creating some kind of distorted havoc. The latest train wreck by acclaimed producer Akitoshi Kawazu, the closest thing videogames have to an Ed Wood, Minstrel Song represents two years in production during which the team played a score of better games and came away not understanding a whit of what made any of them good.
2-0 out of 5 stars frustrating, confusing, boring
after watching the trailer i thought this game would be a beautiful and fun epic, but it is far from that. the graphics are weak, story is very weak, and theres really nothing that sets this game above anything else. save your money and time for ffxii. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Help, my thumb is caught in the controller.
Last year, I bought tears of blood and played about one third of the way through it before running into a bug when the game allowed me to do several things out of sequence.I wasn't all that thrilled with the game and put it aside for some day when I would feel more motivated. It only took a year for me to come back, invest some 80 hours in game play to realize that not only was I not thrilled, but I disliked it intensely. 5-0 out of 5 stars Square is not the only great RPG maker!!!!
This game is just remarkable from the story to the graphics. The story is almost as good as a Final Fantasy game. The graphics are great if not better than a Final Fantasy game. The gameplay is different but is not hard like everyone complains it is.It took me only five minutes at the most to learn how to play it and I find it much easier than a Final Fantasy game. Some people are just to lazy to adjust to different things.Different doesn't mean something is bad. This is at the top of my list of my favorite RPGS.This a must buy game. This is the best RPG since FFX.
2-0 out of 5 stars ugh
ive heard the battle system was innovative. ok lets get one thing straight. for something to be innovative in an rpg it both has to be new and adds to the gameplay. Magna Carta's needlessly complicated battle system doesnt add to the game it makes it tedious. If you can stomach through it i give you all props. Dull soundtrack, bad voice overs, and the half assed FFX wannabe visuals. The one shining moment is probablly the team interaction is interesting curve....even though its nothing new (that dates back to Vanguard Bandits) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars You need to love Strategy Turn-based RPG's first...
If you don't love these types of games you're going to hate FM4. Unlike several other people who played FM3 on the PS1, my opinion is unaffected by playing that particular installment so I can be fair and completely neutral in my assessment.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great game...if you have the time
This is a superb turn based strategy. he graphics are nice, the amount of control in customising your units is great. The story is weak, but if you ignore that the game itself is awesome. I recommend this to any strategy buff you owns a PS2.

1-0 out of 5 stars What happened?
After playing through FM3 at least 20 times, when I had heard Square Enix was going to be making FM4 I was extatic. Finally after long months of waiting I was able to finally purchase the game. After about 8 hours of gameplay the game found itself amid the rest of the trash on my bedroom floor. What happened??How could FM4 be such a disappointment? All Square had to do was keep all the features of FM3, create a new intriging storyline, boost the graphics, and thats all she wrote. They boosted the graphics, started a decent storyline (from the 8 hours of the game that I played) but took out way to many features that made FM3 so great. They completey destroyed the customization system in this game.Pilots skills are basically pre set.It doesnt matter how long you practice with your weapons anymore bc you can only get skills for the beginning weapons your characters start our with.Wanzers designs are sub par at best and very generic.Forget about trying to capture enemy wanzers. They completely removed that feature from the game.So no more slicing and dicing captured enemy wanzers (one of the coolest features I thought in FM3)They got rid of the net surfing.I am sure plenty of ppl thought this feature was annoying and useless in FM3.Well it never really affected the game so if players didnt like the net they didnt have to use the feature. The net would only reward players who took the time to surf and discover all the hidden training maps and programs you could download.Remeber this review was only written based on 8 hrs of gameplay. But for me thats all that was needed. They really killed the skill system in my opinion. And that was the top reason why I loved FM3 so much, for its EXP and Skill system. This game will never touch my PS2 again. ...
