Game is way too slow with addition of 3D views
argh... I love HOMM series and played every one of them. Also played the entire series of Age of Wonders.
Fun Game But Also Hard
Heroes 5 is defintaly a fun game but it is really hard, i was on the last level for the first campiangn (sorry about the spelling) and i was at the last level and i could never beat it i thought about selling the game but i downloaded patch 1.1 it has a easy mode but it was still kinda hard but i beat the level :) The graphics would be a 4 out of 5 because it does have great graphics but when characters talk most of the time you never see there mouth move. The music is really good, and i hope this helped people out. Overall this game is really good (YAY!!! i'm on the second campiang on the second last level!!!! :)YAY)

Hard to enjoy
Darn, another great attempt to build from the beauty of HOMM 3, which was the best of the classic turn based adventure games.While I loved the colorful landscapes and 3D animation, I expereinced similar difficulty with the interface described by others.The game would lag significantly, especially when zooming.Also, sometimes, I couldn't get a path on open terrain (e.g. in an underground cavern), based on the view.Clicking on open ground wasn't enough, I would have to spin the camera angle until it would allow me to finally set the path. . . really frustrating.All of the animations and graphics are great, but these other issues take away from the enjoyment of the game. ... Been a Petz fan since Petz2!
This game offers game play with no end, there is not only mini games where you can win prizes...but you also can play fetch and many other games with your petz.You can breed mixed dogs or purebred...and can even do selective breeding.
Haters Are Idiots
Hey, this is a great game. Just to tell the people who think this gaame is boring: Y'all must not be able to use a computer if you think there's nothing to do. Sure, this is a few-minutes-each-day game. But you can dress up your pets, you can breed them, (though I'm not sure about the crashing problem, I only had that with the fourth game installment) and you can use programs to make new breeds. For people who can't get any items, that's done with theminigames. And though you get bored after a half-hour to an hour, you go back to it the next day.

Could Have Problems
The game's support for high-res video systems is poor.If you're running a res higher than 1400x1050, you'll get hash when starting the game.Their help files do nothing but warn you to update your video driver to the latest version.Their online support is in a Forum layout that is mostly from other users who likely won't have the same card or problem you're having.No where in the Readme's or help files does it tell your where you can modify the video settings prior to starting the game.You will have to go into My Documents\My Games and open the Prefs.ini file.Locate the resolution settings and change to the approprite numbers then save it.Make sure to have your display settings changed to match before trying to start the game.Max res for a desktop is listed in game as 1400x1050.If you're using a Widescreen monitor, max res you should set both the Prefs.ini and your display settings to is 1280x800.If you try to go any higher than those, you'll get a hash or blank screen.

Still a winner!
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 Triple Thrill Pack is a great addition to the original RollerCoaster Tycoon lineup. Lots of new rides and scenery. Well worth the money if you still enjoy playing the older version of RCT.

Not exactly what I expected....
I expected a totally cool mall simulator where you choose what to put out, unlimited money in sandbox mode, and awesome stuff like that. But what I got was this super hard, will-fail-with-or-without-a-loan, stores-that-quit-on-you, and a customization-my-caboose game. But other than that, it's kinda okay.

Unstable software
Game froze after playing it for just 15 minutes on a brand new computer.

One of the best PC strategy games ever.
This game is the original by Chris Sawyer.My son and I have played it for years.It teaches strategic thinking, among other things.It has wonderful visualization facilities.Tremendous fun.

I was most disappointed when I found I could no longer play the original game on my system and was really pleased when I saw this game for XP.I am enjoying playing it, nothing has changed and it is as much fun as the original.The only drawback is that the amounts are all in American dollars and seeing as they ship globally you would have thought there would have been a currency option.Having said that, it is still really good and I spend many happy hours in my own theme parks! ... Not half bad but falls short in some places
Pro's, the grafix are good, the tutorials are helpfull, and the game is easy to use and figure out.
GREAT for the beginner and casual gamer
I just bought this game after having played it for a few hours at a friends house.I have been playing it for awhile now, have had no problems with it; it has been a blast!The only suggestion that I would say for next time is to add online play or multiplayer mode.Finally, I've seen people complain about installation problems... I had no problems installing it whatsoever and it runs very smoothly.Enjoy!

Not very challenging
I am not really sure why everyone is having problems with this program crashing.I have literally played it for days straight as I have nothing else to do on the week ends.I wonder if it is their computers. I use a 1 1/2 old laptop so it doesn't take much to keep the game going.The only problems I have had are if I quit in the middle of a tournament.Then that game will always lock up.I either finish the tournament or go all in to finish it quickly.No problems since that

Not for ATI graphics cards
I enjoyed the first Desperados game, so I picked the sequel up looking for more of the same.However, Desperados 2 is strictly designed for use with Nvidia based PCs.The graphics are too corrupt on ATI based machines.Just a warning.

Graphics are nice but game is dated
The game is okay but not on a par with SimCity 4.Overall the graphics are nice but the detailing to get them are quite antiquated.Instead of watching your skyscrapers & shopping malls being built,you receive a slab of buildings thrown down like meatloaf in a school cafeteria line. I played the game for about an hour before placing it in the "Been there Done that" file.

Don't listen to the other reviewers. This game is great. By far beats out Sim city 4(and I have that game). It's challenging to make everybody happy, but if the game was easy..it wouldn't be fun.

Can not be recommended enough!
For anyone who's been longing for a real strategy game with diplomacy, research, and warfare which seems more a simulation than a click-fest, these games are what you were waiting for.All are just tremendously fun, and have each proven even more addictive than legendary "digital crack" games like Civ or Alpha Centauri.When you add in that Paradox, the designing company, bends over backwards to suppport their products and designs them with moddability in mind, each game has a replayability far beyond what is initially apparent.

Hearts of Iron : Good grand strategy-level game on WWII; unfortunately superseded already by Hearts of Iron II, sold on Amazon, as well.
Great historical strategy games
I have played both Europa Universalis II and Victoria, and I enjoy both of them very much. These are not Zerg-rush type RTS games though - you need to plan your economy and have effective diplomacy to succeed. There are lots of guns vs butter decisions to make. Victoria in particular has a steep learning curve, but is very involved and rewarding once you get the hang of it.

Definitely a game for kids...
If you go to the games on msn, you can download a free trial.There you can see that it is definitely for kids.BUT, the kids really love it!There is no shooting, killing, fighting, sex, swearing, etc.The kids enjoy it, there are some puzzles, some math, some coordination exercises.If you've got kids between 8 and 14 that somehow got caught up in the wave of the show, buy it and be happy.The next thing they ask for will certainly not be as benign.

This is a game that is intended to offer the Apprentice show in a environment that can best be described as for kids 13 and under.
NOTHING like I had expected!
I have played a demo of this game online, which turned out to be done in cartoon graphics. There's the FIRST problem. This game by ALL means should use 3-D graphics if they want to be able to compete AT ALL in the gaming world. Secondly, the demo consisted of you (the player) working at a Dairy Queen, and all you're doing is trying to match up the order to what's pictured in the little bubble above the customer's head. It's not challenging, and really not even fun. And if that's the BEST they could come up with as a demo using a little tidbit of the game, then I would HIGHLY recommend saving your money for something else. ... Read more

Best Game Ever
What can i say. Everyone has taken the words right out of my mouth. Best Puzzle Game ever. Addicting, and fun

A classic for a reason
Fans of Capcom's video games expect the best from the company, and that's precisely what they get with Puzzle Fighter. Not only does this game have splendid graphics, memorable music, and great sound effects, but the characters--most of whom hail from the now-legendary Street Fighter and Darkstalkers video game collections--are impossible to forget. The game also has plenty of unlockable goodies for gamers to enjoy, and the gameplay is not only easy to learn yet difficult to master (as is the gameplay of ANY great puzzle game), but the challenge of trying to overcome CPU opponents whose AI keeps increasing as the gamer carries on in his or her quest to be the best is very commendable.
First puzzle fighter, then Tetris
A while back we previewed a new Capcom game that didn't quite seem to fit into their normal fighter outfit. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (an almost self-parodying name, there) surprised everyone with its cute, super-deformed characters from the Street Fighter and Dark Stalker games, Street Fighter II-like combos, and intense, strategy driven gameplay. Here was the puzzle game to beat all puzzle games, plus it had all our favorite Capcom characters. How could you go wrong? Puzzle Fighter follows the basic two-player puzzle premise, where paired objects drop and stack into columns. In this case, they're colored gems, and by stacking four or more like colors together in a square or rectangle they make large gems, called Power Gems. The Crash Gems also drop, and these are the ones that shatter the gems. So far, this is pretty standard puzzle fare, but Puzzle Fighter really excels in strategy. A little luck does come into the game, but the real determining factor is planning. Not only do you want to stack your gems so a lot will bust at a time, you want to stack them so multiple colors will chain react in succession. Bust a lot, and gems will rain down on your opponent. These games won't be able to bust until they count down from five. The pattern that your gems fall on your opponent are determined by your character, and vice versa, so if you know your opponent's drop pattern, you can set up for that. This is really the key to Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo success.Perhaps the most satisfying part of the game is setting up the multi-hit combos. When you pull one of these off, your character attacks your opponent's character, complete with the sound effects from the original fighting games. It makes the game extremely exciting, and gets you shouting at your opponent like a madman! Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is an excellent puzzle game, and is fun even when you're playing alone. It doesn't matter if you like puzzlers or not, you owe it to yourself to check this game out.

My Favorite In My PS Game Collection
It is now 2006, and 6 years ago this game came out - let me tell you, I still love to play it! (Infact, I played it all day yesterday and all of this morning!) :)
The best game ever EVER!
I got into this game 2 years ago. It was my friends at the time and he let me borrow it for a long time so i called it mine. I was Playing this game for five hours a day (parents limit your child it will take over their life) I couldn't stop playing. I would get home from school and start playing and not stop until I went to bed. If i wasn't playing this game i was thinking about playing it. I went from a stright A student to making C's and D's. yes this is the best game ever but limit your self or it will take over your life.

A timeless strategy classic.
This can be considered `the' WW2 strategy game for the PC, which single-handedly revived PC wargaming and forever changed the genre with its continuing influence. Even by today's standards, the game is fun, challenging and accessible, and still provides hours of gameplay even after all these years.
One of the best ever
This game and War Craft II (both for PS1) are the only games that have stood the test of time. Others do not compare.That includes PS2 games such as GTA III-V.Nothing beats a simplified strategy game.The key to enjoying PG is to play the campaign and get your core troops up in levels and equipment.If you haven't done this, the game will not show it's true appeal.Let me give you my unit preference by Moscow '43: 8 FW109A's, 8 JU 87d's, 7 Tiger I's (convert all to Panthers as soon as they are available - 6 movement), 6 Bridge Engineers (can do everything Pionere infantry can do plus they get you across water [useful everywhere] and they are cooler looking), 2 High Level Bombers HE177s, don't waste your time on antitank weapons until the Jadgepanthers, 6 SIG II's (never get the SIG 38T's because theyonly have 4 movement - substitute in a nebelwerfer, but only one),2 88s (hopefully you got them early on and they are at 2-3 stars by now), and throw in one of those mobile anti-air units (the jeep) for good measure.

If You love strategy, this is the game!
