3-0 out of 5 stars This game is OK!
Why does everyone think this game is so great?? I find it to be just an average game. You start out with three monsters and you must battle people to get more cards. There are only about 20-30 monsters in this game. They each have attack cards and defense cards. If you want to get more cards, you must battle people in these boring looking dungeons. The people follow you and if they catch you, then you have to battle them. Each dungeon has 6 floors, so by the time you are done, you have battled about 30 people!! The battles so get old, that this game will be left on your shelf in no time! Bottom Line.... Don't buy this game unless you are a really big Monster Rancher fan. Even if you are a Monster Rancher fan, I suggest you buy it for Play Station. I these games you get to battle with REAL monsters, not monster cards. If you aren't a fan and you just want a game that involves cards, try Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh ROCKS!

I think everyone should get this, because it's a great game(especially with gamesharck). There are many things to do and you dont get bored!5-0 out of 5 stars super fun !
I think its very fun getting discs and getting monsters and rising them . And one of the best things is you get to ballte them and train them . you can get 100 cards to ballte . each monster has a certain lifetime . ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars YAYYYYYY
ok this is one great pokemon game pokemon is the only thing that me and my friends have ever gotten into not this yugioh or digimon pokemon is the best because it has the easiest concept to level up beat the game and catch'em all nbow the pikachu feature i like becasue pikachu is soooooooooo cute but i wish you could play as abecause you couldnt do that until crystal and about the mini game its great but very hard to get to play but when you can its totally worth it plus all the pokemon look like they shoud in the show so thats a plus no more missingno. but that was stupid because i never used it anyway and its a cheap way to beat the game but i did use missingno. and pokemon stadium to transfer rare candies from red and blue to yellow so i could win at prime cup and actually get the mini game so yeah its a good game

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun but some bad points
Yes i'm 12 and am loyal to pokemon to matter what (i've played it for 8 years)i guess yellow is fine but i had a bad impressen on it when was 6. i bought it and found out that your rival hitts you out of the way and steals your eevee!!!!!!!!! That was my favorite pokemon too! =( but they make up for it with another one, too bad i didn't know that when i was 6 years old because i threw it away. p.s. i can breed eevee whenever iwant to on my emerald now so i'd buy yellow or mabe crystal.

4-0 out of 5 stars I Choose You! Pikachu! :3
Pokemon Yellow is an "upgraded" version of Pokemon Red and Blue, and it's really good, being a Pokemon game.Unfortunately, it is somewhat underappreciated, like most Game Boy Color games. And the graphics are somewhat crude, but it doesn't detract from the game at all.

2-0 out of 5 stars This game sucks
I'm bored so i'm writing a review for this horrible game. The tv series is bad enough so why the hell would they make a game just as bad? the graphics really sucks and so does the sound... DEATH TO ALL POKEMON!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars A classic, after all
This game is exactly the same than the Blue Version (I reviewed it some time ago) the only thing that changes it's the Pokemon frequency and there's also exclusive pokemon at this one. It's also funny and nice until you finish all. It ain't hard, but either easy, you need a complete strategy and good techniques to do it. I really enjoyed this game in its both versionbs and still do.

4-0 out of 5 stars A true Oldie but Goodie-- Worth Sharing with your Kids
On 02/14/1998, I recieved a game that ultimately became an obsession for me. I played this game whereever and whenever possible. I have caught all 151 of the original characters and kept on playing anyway. The game, it seems, never ends. I have about 215 hours on my file, and not once did it get boring. The Pokemon Era may have died down, but Red is still a great game. As the 10th anniversary of its American release rolls around, I can see the revival of a classic on the horizon. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Beginning Of The Classic Series
We probably all know about the hype that Pokemon (Pocket Monsters) has received about 7 years ago. It started off as a game that originated in Japan around 1995-1996, and it was introduced to the United States in 1998. A TV show and a trading card series followed. Plush Pikachu dolls were everywhere. I was a big fan of this fad, and I was only in the 5th grade (late 1999) when I purchased this game and strapped in for the time of my life.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Classic
Pokemon blue is hands down the best pokemon game along with red and yellow chiefly because they are the origanals, they do not mess around with all the technical crap of colour graphics etc etc they concentrate on the game playability and fun. it is great to pay over and over you can loose yourself in the game. i would 100% recommend this game to anybody who likes pokemon or just anyone who loves gaming!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I've had my pokemon red and blue since 1998 and I still think they're better than the newer ones
I bought my pokemon red and blue when I was 8 years old in 1998, and I still play them every now and again. The original pokemon red and blue games are by far my favourite ones. I love the idea when I'm playing a game that came out like 8 years ago and I know that it was once the only one of its kind that people ever knew. They were certainly very popular in back in the 90's. Yeah, the newer ones have better graphics, more pokemon, etc. but does that make them the most enjoyable? I also own pokemon yellow, green (a japanese one), gold, silver, crystal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, fire red, and leaf green, and I still think the original red and blue are, and always will be, the best. No matter how hard people try to re-make them to improve their graphics, the original version will still be better.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's called battle ship, not super battle ship!
It is very fun, but the computer cheats by using weapons you don't have and by almost always hitting you every time it's its turn. It's still a good buy for a collector or if you just like battle ship in general.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not great either
Battleship is a classic board game, but as anyone who owns a video game console or two knows - board games get old fast. This means a video game take on a board game is usually a failed experiment. However, with Battleship, the video game company decided to step things up a notch, and make a game that was far superior to its board game counterpart. Did they succeed? Read on for my review of Battleship - for the Game Boy.2-0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed it but...
Well, this ain't the game you used to play on your table top with pegs.Sure, you're still firing at spots on a grid, but this time you've got devastatingly powerful superweapons like the Trident, which fire as many as 9 shots at a time. The submarine has a radar which can detect ships in the water.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Get this game!
I have a 1996 original tamagotchi, a V2 (version 2), a V3 (version 3) and now this game. People call me a tamagotchi addict.I agree with them! You should get this game because it is super fun. Let me tell you about all of the good things:
4-0 out of 5 stars from the origainal handheld pet to this!
It all started with a Tamagotchi Connection V2. I immeadiatly fell in love with the little virtual critters. I then realized it would be hard to get batteries for it so I wanted this for my game boy, as we have rechargables. This is MUCH different then the handheld that I'm used to. When you first start it, you pick new game and go to the 'Egg Room'. There you pick one of the eggs. In the handheld you got what you got. After that you get to name the egg, unhatched of course. I beleive you can name it up to seven or so letters. Then you go to 'the playroom' and your egg hatches. Then you can feed it carrots, meat or bread for the life (hunger) meter or you can feed it cake or an ice cream sunday for fun (happiness) meter. Another way to fill the fun meter is the smile game. Your Tamagotchi will turn its head left, right, left, right, and so on. Your job is to press the right arrow when its head is turned right and the left arrow when its head is turned left. If you do this correctly four or five out of five times a heart gets filled on the fun meter. Play the sports game to up your ability to win at the sports tournament ( when your Tamagotchi is older it can enter race, beauty, or I think IQ tournaments). If it gets sick you must heal it with either shots or pills. When your Tamagotchi goes to the bathroom (leaves a pile of poo on the screen), you must use the duck icon to clean it up. The game's moving through icons is VERY responsive. One of the few problems I have with my game is it doesn't run on Earth time, but instead, 'Tamagotchi Planet time'. It's an okay game, but now the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars great for younger kids
i think that this toy is really great it is much more durable than the normal tomogatchi and if your kid wants to feel special it is great there are more and more violent video games these days this game is really really safe it's as if you have a tomogotchi but it's will make your kid feel older and it will keep you from having to buy one every 2 seconds. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Big Disappointment; Difficult to Play
Initially my son and I had a difficult time even moving the machines. But he mastered it, and really loves playing alone.5-0 out of 5 stars Exciting and Entertaining
I bought this game for my son for Christmas-along with his first video game (Gameboy Color)not really knowing how he was going to get along with it.Well, much to our suprise, he loves this game! His daddy and I have to "make" him put it down. It's a "nobody looses" type of game. For a child only being 4yrs. old, this was the perfect choice. It has even got self explanitory info. in it that helps the kids follow directions from "George the Foreman".He tells you what to do and where to drive to.Very nice game- hope the next choice we make is as good as this one was.Very highly recommend this.

4-0 out of 5 stars My Pre-K Loves It
First off, let me just mention that this game was designed with very young children in mind, so I'd say that anyone over the age of maybe around 7 will find the game insanely easy. Basically the game revolves around top-view control of several different Catepillar trucks & tractors, which you control to complete a task to beat the level. As an example, in one that I recently played with my 4-year-old, we had to use a tractor to pick up logs, drive them over to a location where a bridge is being built, and press a button to drop the logs in place, thus making part of the bridge. Repeat three more times, picking up logs in different locations that little contruction guys point out. Basically, he seems to think it's really cool to control all the different styles of equipment, and the variety of settings helps to keep things somewhat interesting (in one phase you are building bridges, on another you are working on a farm, etc). Even though he really likes the game, I had to take away a star due to the repetitiveness of the game - most levels consist basically of "Drive here, press button. Drive there. Press button. Repeat." Even though the equipment and settings change, interest is lost after a while because there's little variety in gameplay. He keeps going back to it though, so it can't be that bad :) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
Harvest Moon, it is fun enough to spend hours and hours on. Even though some games of Natsumes were not good I have liked them all. This game is fun and sticks to the nature of Harvest Moon by just allowing you to take care of your animals and crops on a day to day basis. The main objective of this game is to fulfill your grandpa's wish for you to become a Ranch Master. Although you have loads of time to overcome these challenges this game will keep you entertained for hours. I just recently bought this game and I think I have spent a day on the game. Some say this game is one of the worst, but I think it is a great game for it doesn't deal with saving the Harvest Goddess, it doesn't deal with your grandpa just died and he left his farm in the will, it doesn't deal with getting married, it doesn't deal with making friends, but it does deal with the main points of Harvest Moon; harvesting and caring for animals. Although the non-marriage thing is sort of a bummer and the events are sort-of boring the game is very fun. I hope this helps everyone make there choice on this game, for some reviews are not helpful so I bought the game anyways and It was great. If you don't like farming and taking care of animals then this game isn't for you; but if you do this game will be your #1 choice.

5-0 out of 5 stars Harvest Moon=two thumbs up
Read this "kid's review!" I didn't want to go through all that real name stuff so I went with this kind of review, even though I'm 14(not quite that old,but hey).Anyways,Harvest Moon for GBC is a great game.I played it today actually. You do many things, such as plant crops, look after animals and even buy things with your own money at the local market.Sounds boring? It's not!I like the game because it's different, you are in control of every aspect of the game. You work as hard as you can or as little as you want. What's fun for me is earning money through planting crops and tending to your animals. It's also fun to go the the market and buy a bunch of food and things for your ranch. You can play hours on end and still not get bored-that's me at least.Summer is the best season for farming. The crops keep growing so you don't have to keep buying seeds. That's a huge convinience.Overall,I would say this game is one that you can simply play for fun and not be worriend about certain things unlike other games. It's not a huge challenge really. You just have to strategize.
4-0 out of 5 stars Harvest Moon is one of the most fun, creative, inspiring games
I saw this game being reviewed on a videogame show and thought it looked stupid so I decided to borrow it. On the way home I was thinking would ever play this game, well after awhile I figuerd who would...ME!!! It may look boring but it really is fun, I was playing that game all night for like 17 hours none-stop. There is so much you can do in it I mean come on:

5-0 out of 5 stars Warlocked
There are two sides that you can play on: Queen Azarel's army in which you control human knights, elven archers, and grunts(little humans that do work like mining and chopping down trees,) or Emperor Zog's army which consists of beast warriors (instead of human knights,) skeleton archers (instead of elven archers,) and goblins (instead of grunts.)You can also gather wizards to aid you, and build essential farms to feed your troops. Also, if you find a dragon egg, you can have your troops carry it back to your Main Hall (your base) and it will hatch in about one minute.Even when you beat the game, you will find yourself coming back for more strategic fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy it
...This game is awsome and my guess is the guy in the last reveiw doesnt know how to play a strategy game. This game has every thing and is a great because it has mini games(poker, and slider) if you get tired of the main game. It would be better with more missions, its still a great game. But you may want to wait and get Wizards which is the sequel to this game, which will be on game boy advance.I cant wait.

3-0 out of 5 stars A fair reveiw
Hi i have been gaming for a while and i enjoy all types, since most reviews afther say the game is awesome or horible, but i will give a fair review. But to start I would like to say i would give this game a 3.5 but there is no half of a star rating, but i felt that the game wasn't good enough to be awared a 4 mark. Warlock is a neat little rts and is fun to play while travling, be sure to bring extra batteries! this game can get addicting, but it's pathetic when you compare it to other rts's like age of empires and startcraft etc. But you have to think. This little pak did pretty well and i enjoyed the game very much. You have to read the manual for a bit and practice the controls for a bit. But once you got those the game becomes easier to understand. The graphics are like 1980 ones but you can make things out, which is really all a games needs to have. Sound is good, and music changes during the battles, so it creates more of a mood. When you selecting on one of your troops (1 of 4 posible types) they give a little grunt that you can hear to know that you selected one. The game is really easy at first but it gets hard, you'll find yourself planning your attacks more carefully. Each game contains wizzards that have special abilities. and everytime you beat a level all your troops, wood and gold are put into a chest called "the War chest", after you completed one races game (there are two Humans [good, can use knights elfin archers and grunts] and Monsters {bad, can use wariors, skeleton archers and goblins]) niether has the any advantages over the other, but i found the humans quest easier then the monsters. Any way i would recomend this game to any one who read this reveiw and wants the game. But you may want to rent it before buying, so you spend less money. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not what expected
It's an okay game, but I'd recommend it for gamers who are 10 and under. The graphics are pretty good for GBC and the gameplay doesn't have any big flaws. I really enjoyed seeing the Lego world on my gameboy. The only major thing I didn't like about the game is the ending. When I got there, I didn't even know that I was finished and it only took me an hour or less. I'd recommend buying the original LEGO Island for PC, because it is more in-depth and has lots of modes of transportation. For example, you can ride a motorcycle, a bike, an ambulance, a jetski and more. The only two flaws are that you can't walk outside the paths/roads and you don't really get to fly the chopper. You should get the LEGO Island PC version for kids 7-13 and Lego island gamboy if it's for a 6-10 year old.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not sure if it was worth the effort...
It is a great game, the graphics are incredible and my son really likes it, HOWEVER, it took me 3 weeks to install -- and I'm pretty good with computers! The system requirements also seem VERY high, so be sure your computer can run this game.

Okay. I am a Worms Junkie. I love the game...(Worms Armageddon/World Party for PC). The Gameboy color version is about what you would expect from its primitive 8-bit processor. If you are considering buying this version, dont. The Gameboy Advance version, Worms World Party, is almost a near perfect conversion from the PC. I have the first screenshots, and it looks beautiful.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good ol' fashioned fun
Worms Armageddon on PC is my favourite game: you just can't get enough of it! So when I saw the GBC version on the shelves, I hurried to buy it. Well, although it has some flaws, I rate it the third best Gameboy Colour game, after Pokmon Gold and Tetris DX.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best games ever made - now on GameBoy
This game is a turn-based fantasy strategy. It offers 4 sides (Barbarian, Sorceress, Knight, Warlock) each with 6 unit types and players can spells too. The game's music and sounds are OK for a gameboy and graphics are quite good as well. There are maps of 3 sizes, the bigger ones are quite challenging. I think HOMM is a fantastic game that will keep you entertained for months.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's not so bad
I've played the computer version, and it was pretty sweet. The gameboy version has a lot of the same elements, and that's great. It fills a demand lacking in the rest of the games out there. However, the controls are a bit tedious. Some games are not made for gameboy, and for good reason. This game probably shouldn't have even made it to gameboy color. The graphics are abstract and overall ... in comparison to other platforms of Heroes. But that's how it is. It's the gameboy version. If you like the computer game, you may feel the need to want to play Heroes on a road trip or in a waiting room, or perhaps on an airplane. Is it worth it? I think so, but my advice is look into Heroes 2 for gameboy. Maybe it's improved.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but not 5 star
The good parts of the game are the variety of creatures you can get and the music. The bad parts of the game are, as everyone else has said, the graphics and the tiny screen. Furthurmore the game is turn based. This means that there is actully very little strategy to fighting. Whoever has the bigger army at the battle will win almost every time. In many strategy games, experience and skill are more beneficial and play a larger part in fighting that in Heroes of might and Magic. I personally didn't like this, and more experienced gamers would probably agree with me, but beginners should enjoy this more. My final review... good if you like turn-based games and have TONS of extra time (like a car or plane ride), but very boring if you prefer real-time strategy games because of all the waiting you do for other people to move. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the first one
As the first heroes seemed to be a combination of the first two PC versions, the second one for game boy is more like a combo of heroes 2 and 3.I like that the creature system got an overhaul from that of Heroes I for Gameboy, but it lacks very important aspects which made the PC version fun (i.e.--opening the castle doors to let your creatures out in a siege).Although you can play with them in the scenarios, the dragons are inaccesible in the campaign game, which takes away from the fun a little and makes it more like heroes 1 and 2 where you only had 6 creature classes instead of 7.I would have to say though that if you are a heroes fan then you will love this game when you are away from the PC and can deal with the arrow keys instead of a mouse.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Ingenious Strategy/RPG Game Implemented Well on the GBC
First and foremost I'd like to say that if you enjoy the "Heroes of Might and Magic" series at all, then you are going to love playing this game.I never played the original on the GBC because I thought that it lacked some key features that make the game.Fortunately, 3DO realized their mistakes and seem to have taken care of it in this release. There are 25 Scenarios for you to battle in, but more importantly a Campaign has been added to the game.I was hoping for some pretty cutscenes between missions but was sorely let down. It's not that bad though, they do provide you with a nice story and some decent pictures.Plus I think they make up for it when you beat the campaign.Read more

This game is so much fun, I can't put it down.I play all day long and it's still entertaining!I think I'm bordering on abseccion!!!!!My son loves it to... he never loses interest in it!The only reason I gave this game an overall of 4 instead of 5 stars is the lack of dating.Other than that, this game is perfect!!! Hope you enjoy it to!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesomely fun game
Harvest Moon 2 is an insanely fun game, which is pretty surprising, seeing as, well...it's a video game based on a farm. Whoever came up with the idea though, is intelligent.5-0 out of 5 stars As cool as a farming simulation can be!
Harvest moon is a great series. It is about farming. If you don't like wasting time moving around and doing virtual chores, don't get it. That means it is not boring. I bought HM2 once, and played it constantly. I was addicted! Unfortunately, I lost it in a move, and I was drawn here by it's low price without the auctions on eBay. I plan on buying it again. It's that good. If you want a better knowledge of the game, and whether you should get it, try Ushi no Tane. Just search on google or something for Ushi no Tane, which is THE BEST Harvest Moon 2 site I have ever seen. You'll learn anything you need to know there. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good stuff
If you've ever played this game before, then you know what to expect. So to you folks, it's just what you think it's going to be like! For those who have never played Rampart it goes a little like this: Build city walls around castles to stay alive and gain more points. Then place cannons. Then prepare for a frenzied round of battle! After the round, you do it all over again! I'm not sure when or how you win, but you just do. Even though it sounds simple, it's quite entertaining. I cannot play for more than a half hour or so at a time because it just gets too difficult. When it says GAME OVER, you just feel like you need a break. That, however, doesn't stop me from playing again later. Overall, the simple tetris like strategy for adults and blow em up to bits action for the kids make this a game everyone can enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you liked the arcade game...
I haven't seen any port to Gameboy that so matched the arcade game as well as this one. I rented the game, expecting the worst, and am so pleased I'm buying a copy.Even the shouting voice telling you to "Surround Castle to Stay Alive!" is right where it 'sposed to be.Sure the graphics are small, and that direction pad is nothing like the trackball of the original, but the gameplay is just right. If you're like me, and still think the best arcade games are gone -- shucks, I dated my wife by dropping quarters together in arcade machines -- but you somehow have two or three gameboys sitting around when the little rugrats are asleep,I think you'll be happy with this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Warning:DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
Please do yourself a favor and exit this page right now. This game is the worst game on gameboy. There is no point to this game beyond the simple arcade bit. ... ... Read more
