Best gameboy game we've tried
My 9 year old daughter loves this game and so does the rest of the family.I would recommend it for ages 8 and up.The child should be able to read.But it is so fun because it has such a variety of games.If you like board games you'll like this one.You can play the computer or other players by taking turns.

The Movie In A Game And FridayNight Castle Fun!!!
If you want the best Game Boy Color game there ever was, this is it!! Beauty And The Beast: A Board Game Adventure is definitely a game that should be in your house. At first, you need to try the practice games before you play the story games. Let me tell you all of the games you will encounter sooner or later. There's Belle's Ride. Philippe & Belle are lost in the forest, and they need your help to try and get through it. You need to avoid bats, wolves, bear traps, tar, and logs. Then they will get home safely. Then, we come to Beast's Battle. Vicious wolves lurk everywhere in the forest, and Beast must battle them to save Belle. This is extremely tough at first, but once you get the knack of it, it's a breeze. Next, there's Crazy Chopper. Maurice has built a new invention. It's an automatic wood-chopping machine. You need to use the spring cart to bounce all of the wood over to the woodpile. This really can be hard. Then, there's Mrs. Potts Peril. Chip has been playing by the oven and it broke. Your job is to put out all of the fires that pop out of the oven before the flames reach powder and the kitchen blows up. This is the hardest of them all!! If you're ready for something easier, then try Le Fou's Gallery. Le Fou wants you to prove him wrong about Gaston being the best shooter. You need to meet his challenge and shoot all of the targets. Oh, just shoot the good targets. If you shoot a bad target, you will lose a life. Next, there's Poochy Paw Prints. Footstool has been playing outside and he's now jumping around on the furniture. That means more work for Featherduster (Babette)!!! It's going to be your job to help her clean up. You need to dust the paw prints in the order they are left. This can get tricky. Then, you need to find Mrs. Potts' son in Where's Chip? Chip doesn't want to go to bed yet, so he's hiding. You need to help Mrs. Potts find Chip when the fleet of spinning cups stop. This is confusing. You need to stop all of the leaks in the cellar with flames in Lumiere's Leaks. There's water leaking in the cellar, so it's going to be your job to help Lumiere keep the water from dripping onto the floor. But be careful. Too many drips can put your flames out. In Matching Doors, you need to find all of the character pairs behind Wardrobe's doors. This is really tricky!!! Finally, we come to Cogsworth's Trivia. Cogsworth is going to give you a question about something that happened in the movie. You get points by how fast you Ansewer the question, and if you get it right. If at some games you get three stars, then you can play a bonus game!! In Gaston's Spittoons, you need to help Gaston hit the pot with the star in it. If you do, you get another turn. If you hit any other, you still will get rewarded. Even if you miss you get rewarded!! Now that you're all set, you're ready to go to the story games. You need to get through the village, forest, and castle to warn Beast that Gaston is coming. If you win all three, then Gaston will be defeated. Then you can play the board game just for fun and play against the Game Boy Color, friends, or family. This is guaranteed to give you hours of addictive game-play. Well that's it. Great Game,Very addicting
Ilove the game Shanghai pocket. Mahjongg is my all time favorite game to play I have it downloaded on my personal computer and play it as often as Ican. My only complaint is that you can not save your game so you cancontinue at another time(when the boss goes to lunch) and you can save thechinese horoscope symbols that you've already saved. You have to start allover again.Some different symbols would be nice to try instead of the twochoices you have for each row. But the different layouts are great andbeing able to set different time limits on your game is good too. I reallylove it. The only problems I now have is carpal tunnel on my wrists and eyestrain becauseI can't put the game down. Thanks alot . Some orientalmusic playing in the background would of suited this game much better thanthe one that plays in the background. It's got a cute little tune to it..

Charming and wonderful!
Shanghai Pocket is a wonderful game, and has a lot of charm with its graphics and music. The music is repetitive, but it isn't annoying, and the animals that you free by completing each stage are a nice touch;interesting that they match the Chinese Zodiac! My only complaints are 1)The size of the tiles: You WILL need a Gameboy magnifier with a light, myeyesight is fine, but would strain others with less than good eyesight orhave tired eyes, and 2) The lack of a save game means that you have to playall 12 stages to watch the endgame feature! Switching the game off, orselecting "quit" and switching off will erase your progress, andit's tiring to play each stage without a break; thank goodness for NintendoAC adapters! These two complaints prevented a five star rating, but it isstill a wonderful game and I highly recommend it!

Shanghai Pocket
If you are a fan of tai-pai or mahjongg, then this game is for you.Once you get the hang of changing the screen to various tiles and stages (which consist of eg. mouse stage, tiger stage etc.) it's a great way to pass thetime on stormy winter nights.The game appears simple put once you getgoing it's very addicting so that you must play until you win. Once you wina stage (eg. tiger) the tiger will appear and thank you for helping itretreive it's orb and being able to return to it's land.There are alsotwo other games that can be played either against the game boy or anotheropponent, with the option of hooking up to another gameboy.If I have anycomplaint it's that they do not save you score so everytime you start backup it's at the begnning, so you have to reset all the different tiles ifyou do not want to use the basic.Also they say it is compataible forregular Gameboy, but you can not see the screen on the regular Gameboy, souse on Color Gameboy. ... Addictive but sometimes too easy
I love the game of Monopoly on the board as well as the gameboy game.But after a few times of playing it on gameboy, I found strategies that made it almost impossible to lose.The only thing that makes mekeep playing it trying to get the most amount of net worth at the end of the game.I usually play it when I need something to do for a half hour or so.I would be good to take to jury duty.

One of the best video games ever!
I recieved Monopoly as a gift and have had a time trying to stop playing it! It is a lot of fun. I like the fact that you can play against another player(s), or play against the computer. I also like the fact that instead of just passing on buying a property, you either buy it or auction it, so the other player can have a chance to buy it, even though the starting prices are always very, very cheap. The graphics are very specific, also. Also, you can have a chance to raise money by selling or trading properies, money, or houses or hotels if you go bankrupt during the game. You can also have a set time limit if you want to play for a certain amount of time. Overall, Monopoly is an excellent game I would recommend to anybody!

PLEASANT
I love playing Monopoly and can destroy anyone who challenges me. But what do I do when [others] are too scared to play me? I play this. I wasn't sure if this would be good or bad and was suprised it was not that bad. Still, it is a bit easy but when yur board this will take up some time. VERY disappointed:(
I was excited to receive this game only to be disappointed.I wouldn't waste your money.The graphics are absolutely horrible and the game processes very s--l--o--w--l--y!!!

needs better directions
We bought this game and gameboy for our 8 year old.He was fustrated for the first couple of days.The directions for this game don't say now to select a game.(It only says, turn gameboy off, insert game, turn gameboy on.)It says that checkers can be 1 or 2 players, put doesn't tell you how (do you link 2 gameboys together or can the 2 player version be played on a single gameboy?).It doesn't tell you how to double jump in checkers.It doesn't tell you how to play the peg games, just that 1 or 2 peg holes are empty and doesn't say how to move a peg.

Baby game
this game is not fun at all. maybe it is fun for children 6 and down. i think that little animal charicters telling you if you won or lost is very dumb.the 4 types of games are peg,board,paper,and puzzle. if i were you i would save my money and buy a differnt game ... Read more
